I didn't watch it. The cable in Austin quit carrying the NBC affiliate KXAN because KXAN wants Time Warner Cable to pay them for their otherwise free signal.

If they had come on together with something like "I'm Sarah Palin!" followed by, "No, I'm Sarah Palin!" it might have actually been interesting.

Anyone have any theories on why Palin's bit had so little Palin in it? When real Hillary Clinton met fake Hillary Clinton it was pretty good, and helped to humanize real Hillary. I don't think this appearance helped real Palin, especially when fake Palin didn't even exchange a single sentence with her.

Was SNL not motivated to do something memorable and funny with the real Palin? Tina Fey has been quite open about looking forward to never having to impersonate her again after Nov. 4.

I was disappointed. The real Sarah Palin hardly said anything, and wasn't even shown with Tina Fey. Actually, it was boring. I expected much better material from SNL's writers. Maybe Palin's handlers constrained the writers? All I know is I didn't really get any laughs out of it. Maybe I was expecting too much.

I dunno. He just strikes me as a True Believer. Unlike some sock puppets, he doesn't go out of his way to make the side look stupider/crazier then they already are.

We've all met Takitez.. he's the guy on public access TV rambling about how Halloween is evil and is sure everyone else is going to hell for not knowing The Path and The way of The One True Ghod. He's the guy that stands up at every Chamber of Commerce meeting and tries to get everyone to open with a prayer. He'll spew a message of "love" and isn't capable of realizing that not everyone shares.. or even cares about.. his beliefs. He's the guy in your town that, aside from making non-Christians feel unwelcome, makes most Christians kinda queasy, to boot.
