You are delusional, my friend (as someone else might say) Iran spent eight years fighting Iraq and had to retreat with it's tail between its legs to nurse its wounds. Bush gave them Iraq on a silver platter and premier prominence in the middle east. The more we stay occupied in Iraq, the stronger Iran becomes, especially by keeping a check on those pesky al-qaida who are a thorn in everyone's side.

Peaceful research into nuclear energy by the Iranians (mainly to allow them to sell their oil at insanely high prices to short-sighted dupes in the West) has been completely exonerated in the eyes of rational-thinking nations. I shudder to think what would have occurred if the GOP had managed to hold the unsustainable financial markets together for a few more months -- the American Military would be taking fire while trying to capture Tehran while the rest of America would be suffering from financial ruin.

We can only hope that the polls are accurate and that the corrupt GOP election-stealing machine won't prevail in November. A McCain Administration would doubtlessly use another "Gulf of Tonkin" ruse to start another unlawful military occupation of a Muslim nation.

I disagree. I agree it's a joke, but it was a sick joke. You're talking about bombing a country that did NOTHING except assert their own right to sell their country's resources to whom every want, for whatever price they want, and using WHATEVER medium of exchange that they want.
