On November 4, the Liberty University in Virginia will be closed so all staff and students can vote if they choose.

I don't want to be overconfident, but the map is brutal to McCain. He's losing in Florida, too, and Pennsylvania's out of reach.

On November 5th, the Liberty University in Virginia will announce that classes have been suspended indefinitely due to mass suicides of students and faculty. They'll have realized that their pipeline into the WH has been severed and the money train is off the tracks.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Tuesday shows Barack Obama attracting 52% of the vote while John McCain earns 44%.

Obama has benefited from the financial crisis. It would be the same if a Dem were president and we had a crisis like this, the Repub would benefit. McCain was holding his own until this thing melted down. People do not really care or want to take the time to understand all the things that came into play here. They just say things are not working, the buck stops at the president, let's get one from a different party.

The same thing will be true in 4 years. If the Dems own the Presidency and Congress and things have not turned around (or as I believe, the Dems make it worse). They will be voted out and the Repubs will take over.

I think tonight's debate is really one of the last chances for McCain. Recent polls have shown that everything is swinging in Obama's favor, and I don't think there's any doubt that the economy is playing a large role in this. Between Gramm's "nation of whiners" comment a few months ago and the fact that McCain himself has gone on record saying that he doesn't understand the economy, his campaign has dug its own grave. If they can't reassure voters that they are better poised to handle the economic crisis, I don't think he's got much of a chance at winning in November.

I'm not saying it's impossible for him to win, but he's definitely got his work cut out for him. He's supposed to perform very well in the town hall meetings, so that should help him considerably. The next few weeks are going to be interesting.

If they're going to release the fabled "Whitey Tape," they'd better do it soon.

That is to say, he's supposed to perform well at town hall meetings, which if I'm not mistaken is the format tonight's debate will be taking.

Except that this won't be a 100% Republican audience. McAngry doesn't do too well when questioned by Democrats. I think he will have at least on moment of temper tantrum. I sincerely hope he doesn't blow a gasket.

Your mention of Utah reminds me that Utah's senator Orrin Hatch said that the Biden/Palin debate would be a Dem setup... that the moderator was in the "tank" for Obama.

In Central Virginia, home of the Confederate White House, the Museum of the Confederacy and Appomattox, Obama today leads by 8. In the Shenandoah, where John McCain led by 24 points one month ago, Obama and McCain today tie.

It's almost election time and I see on Fox news that they are reporting a US plane down in Iran. Hmmmmm. Somethings up with this "wag the dog" Bush administration. Keep your ears open for more........ Now the US says no plane is down. What gives?

The GOP had their chance to define Obama negatively and they didn't do it. At this point 95% of voters have made up their mind and they've decided on Obama. Going to nuclear mudslinging at this point backfires, as people who've chosen Obama now see their team as being attacked, and they get defensive. It's too late.

When polls are conducted, are you aware the polling firms alter the percentages of Dems/Reps in compiling their numbers? By increasing the percentage of Dem likely voters you'd naturally see a bump for Obama. Or vice versa.

Be somewhat wary of polling.
