The McCain campaign bought ads in advance declaring his victory in Friday night's debate, as revealed by the Washington Post. "McCain Wins Debate!" declares one ad which features a headshot of a smiling McCain with an American flag background. Another ad features a quote from McCain campaign manager Rick Davis declaring: "McCain won the debate-- hands down."

I wonder if they were going to run the ads even if it was only Obama that showed up?

D'oh!

Amazing!

"McCain won the debate-- hands down."

They meant and fell down. Besides, McSame could not even show up and they'd run the ads-they gave up telling the truth right after the primaries.

Maybe it is witchcraft, we should get shootin' Sarah's preacher in to investigate this ASAP

McCain's a master debater?

Jeez, who'da thunk it?

Ya know if McCain's campaign collapses from the sheer weight of it's own lies and flip flops at least his staff has a backup plan.

better break the seal on the viagra

McCain has to take a viagra just to have enough wherewithal to open the viagra bottle.

Given what has transpired over the last week alone this is laughable.

First McCain calls off his campaign to save the country. But on Wednesday he still hasn't read Paulson's Proposal. He cancels Letterman, allegedly to fly to Washington DC, but instead does an interview with Katie Curic and hangs out in aNew York Hotel off and on for 22 hours. Then he hi-tails it to Washington DC and sits silent through a dog and pony show with Shrub, Pelosi, Reid, Obama and the usual gang of idiots.

Anybody that believes Paulson's Story belongs with this usual gang of idiots. Hail Caeaser, Heil Hitler or whatever the Fuck.

McCain Campaign Develops Psychic Powers

I always did think there was something "mental" about them.....

Complete 12 round boxing match, toe to toe. No knockout and no technical submission.

One thing I noticed was after McCain leveled Obama's over 900 million earmarks, one million for each day in his Senate seat, Obama's face color changed a bit: redder.

But Obama showed a bit more discipline by looking at McCain occasionally, while McCain did not look at Obama.

Tie. Draw.

Moderator was fair and accomodating.

Their 'psychic powers' didn't match with any of the polls of undecided voters the networks did post-debate.

A Picture's Worth a Thousand Words

CBS News poll of Undecided Voters

FOX News Focus Group: Obama Wins Debate

CNN just conducted an Opinion Research telephone poll. Obama beat McCain by big margins:

* The debate: 52% to 38%
* Iraq: 52% to 47%
* Economy: 58% to 37%

Kissinger was mentioned in the debate. He was asked (CNN) who was accurate.

Kissinger said: McCain was right.

Kissinger said: McCain was right

So let's see ~

Kissinger is a dyed-in-the-wool Republican.

McCain is a dyed-in-the-wool Republican.

Two partisans agreeing with each other????

I'm shocked to the core, I tell ya'. Shocked to the core!

Kissinger was mentioned in the debate. He was asked (CNN) who was accurate.

Kissinger said: McCain was right.

Kissinger's original statement, made in a CNN special program, was what Obama was quoting. Kissinger's statement was played in full on CNN. After Kissinger heard himself last night, again, Kissinger e-mailed CNN saying "I support John McCain" and recasting what everyone had just heard him say.

It was amusingly transparent.
