There's a reason they won't let Palin out of the scripted closet.

"In 2006 and 2007, Obama teamed up with Republican Sen. Tom Coburn to pass the Federal Funding Accountability and Transparency Act, also known as Google for Government.-- The act created a free, searchable web site USASpending.gov that discloses to the public all federal grants, contracts, loans and insurance payments."

This is kinda perfect. Palin proposed that, if elected, she'd do what has already been done - by Barack Obama. Not only did Obama already pass the legislation Palin proposed she'd introduce, but Obama sponsored and passed the already existing legislation by reaching across the aisle and working with Republican Tom Coburn.

Two of the Republican's primary memes are that 1) Barack Obama has not accomplished anything in the senate, and 2) Barack Obama, unlike McCain, is unwilling to "reach across the aisle" and work with the opposition for a common cause.

Palin obliterated both of those bs points in one unscripted appearance.

(In addition to the fact that she had no freakin' clue that what she was proposing had already been done - by Obama.)

betelg - talking to herself.

again.

Nanc-
Does Palin do that a lot? Does she realize that sometimes the mics are live? (Like when she's in front of a mic and is before an audience?)

Palin/McCain.

Political campaign or comedy routine?

Coming up next on CNN.

Nanc,

It is strange that you think that you are insulting posters here by referring to them as women when you know they are men.

What gives big guy?

This is meaningless Boyd. She wants to make goverment transparant, she did it in Alaska. So Obama and Cobrun presented legislation for this.

Now what?

I didn't think Obama liked to vote anything other then 'present' out side of abortion votes.

BTW, Obama is running against McCain

Rex-
re: So Obama and Cobrun presented legislation for this.

No. The legislation was passed. Palin was proposing to do what has already been done. By Obama.

So?

what a great free ufc last night. I am on the clay guida bandwagon

That's why they'll keep this yahoo on the short bus as much as they can until after the election.

So?

So?

Palin promised to do what Obama already did, doofus.

Is english your second language, or are you just daft?

Palin is a superstar Boyd, she is here to stay. Hussein will be forgotten the day after the election is held.

JA, I loved seeing Danzig get his ass beat. I can't stand that guy.

Nate Diaz is a champion and will hold a belt before next year is over.

Boyd, no insults. I think your point is empty, even if completely accurate and true.

You go, girl. (By completely abandoning your feeble bullshit when even you can no longer argue such absurdity)

And yes, english is my first language although I do speak Italian and German fluently.

Because....????

Palin is a winner and the fact that she's an imbecile doesn't matter....because she's a winner?

Very good. I can see you have become no more substantial than you once weren't...

Schrauben Sie Arschloch

Rex-
WOW. You're stupid in three languages!

No. The legislation was passed. Palin was proposing to do what has already been done.

No she didn't, betelg. Here's the quote again:

Were going to do a few new things also,-- she said at a rally in Cedar Rapids. For instance, as Alaskas governor, I put the governments checkbook online so that people can see where their moneys going. Well bring that kind of transparency, that responsibility, and accountability back. Were going to bring that back to D.C.--

Nowhere in that quote does she say she will put DC's books online. She used that as an example of transparency, responsibility, and accountability.

Or did I miss somewhere that she specifically said she would put DC's books online?

Rex-
Do you think Palin will be successful in passing the legislation that Obama and Coburn alreaddy implemented, if elected?

Keep flappin' those arms.

Goatman-
Oh. I see. Palin would bring the transparency that Obama has already brought.

I really have been won over by the McCain camp's arguments that Obama has no accomplishments and wouldn't "reach across the aisle" for the greater good.

(which arguments Palin negated in toto in one of her first scripted appearances)

"Or did I miss somewhere that she specifically said she would put DC's books online?"

Good God, Goat, are you channeling Rob_The_Semantics_Boy?

Or did I miss somewhere that she specifically said she would put DC's books online?

I'm sure she was for it before she was against it. (See 'Bridge to Nowhere' and hiding gov't business through private email accounts)

Hey. Gotta go. See you folks around.

Oh. I see. Palin would bring the transparency that Obama has already brought.

If he brought transparency, yes. However I did not see that mentioned in the article, so I can't comment on whether that is true or not.

Good God, Goat, are you channeling Rob_The_Semantics_Boy?

No channeling necessary. Unlike some, I read what is written and assume that meaning instead of putting my own spin on the words and using my interpretation as the argument.

This isn't poetry where we can make it mean whatever we want to. These are actual quotes and for the sake of argument should be taken as spoken/written.

Doesn't one that assumes a meaning to a written text in actuality using Your own interpretation to the meaning of a certain written text?? When one assumes aren't they just guessing??

Larry

Its so funny to see you dems falling all over yourselves trying to find anything that Barack Obama has accomplished or done.

Well we do know he did drugs. How about listing that as an accomplishment next time!

and lets not forget the following straight talk from Barak.

www.youtube.com

When one assumes aren't they just guessing??

Exactly. That is why I make no assumptions of my own except the assumption that the speaker means what they say. If Palin never actually said that she intended to put DC's books online (which she did not) I cannot assume that is what she meant.

But that is precisely what You are doing when You assume what the speaker is saying is what they mean.

Larry

I have two choices: I can assume the speaker meant what they said, or I can assume the speaker did not mean what they said.

Since people mean what they say far more often than not, I'll go with history and assume that they mean what they say.

At any rate, even if they did not mean what they said, I will not be so vain and arrogant as intepret the quote and present my interpretation as fact.

palin is a complete moron

and she is more popular then mccain

not saying much for him

mccain: bad for america

My take on this-since they want to zerox Obama's proposals and implement them-why not elect Obama instead? They are his, after all.

Not to mention the fact that everything rethuglicuntz touch gets fucked up.

Sorry-XEROX...damned fingers.......
