This was a terrible accident. Saw the train wreck on our local news tonight.

It was a Metrolink train hit head on by a freight train.

So far at least 10-15 dead. Still looking in the mangled train cars for people. Toll expected to go higher.

There's no list as to who was on the train so no one knows who's missing or dead.

Carnage. They even had this train wreck just now on CNN.

They are working under floodlights trying to get bodies out.

Just pulled out the body of an off-duty police officer but can't release his name because his family hasn't been notified.

Bere's a raw video of this train wreck --

Please explain your comment.

The two trains were coming at each other from opposite directions on the same track at 40 mph.

The freight train hit the Metrolink train with such force it pushed the first car of the train 12 feet into the second car behind it. The train car broke in two, caught fire, and overturned. They were trying to dig people out of the twisted steel all night long. In some cases there was almost nothing left to identify the victims.

First time I ever saw the supervisor in charge of the rescue detail almost start to cry before the cameras. His voice kept breaking. It had to be awful carnage for these rescue workers to dig through.

Every trauma and ER hospital was put into full rescue mode all throughout the area. Many had such serious injuries which come with a train crash that they couldn't even use and ambulance as time was of the essence to save their lives so helicopters were flying back and forth to bring victims to the different hospitals.

No one knows why two separate trains were on the same track traveling headon in a collision course. Those blue Metrolink computer trains here in L.A. travel around 80 mph and there are a lot of accidents and people and/or cars getting hit on the tracks. Many train crossings (like a couple in my town) are not very well-defined as a train crossing and are exactly level with the street. With all the traffic lights, turn signs, etc. to distract drivers sometimes people aren't even aware there are railroad tracks.

This involves fatal errors from negligence maybe gross negligence.

Actually, to use Metrolink trains you need no ID, just buy tickets at a kiosk and hop on. They rarely even check to see that you have a ticket.

Thank you, Mr. MOTO.

The greed of the corporate world rears its ugly head.

A train, a damn train.

In all the technology of today they don't have anti-collision equipment.

Well, I guess that's why the industry can't seem to make it in the US, they just go cheap and unsafe.

Prayers go out to the victims, families and friends. How could something like this happen?
