Well, if there's one thing I've learned in the last eight years, it's that statement is a no-brained piece of garbage.

When I was in the Navy and serving on a commando helicopter squadron the Navy decided to do a "PR thing" where the "girlies" were sent up on Harrier jump jets, at that time there were three girlies on the same Naval Air Station named Dawn so they did an entire PR thing about those three Dawns, one of them (not me) went up in the Harrier, her interview after the flight consisted of "the helmet messes up your hair and ruins your makeup" I saw said person at dinner the next day and said to her (paraphrasing) "what the fuck were you thinking? you have just single handedly given the male bigots a reason not to train women to be pilots you fucking idiot" Sarah Palin is the reason that a woman should not be elected president, cause she is doing the entire, lipstick, whiny female thing, she is giving the entire nation a reason to not elect her VP (and possibly president). Outside of the cameras and the press, my pilots let me fly a helicopter (I was an admin chief good god!) treated me as an equal (and in fact as a superior cause I was the one that kept things running), yah don't get respect by whining about being a woman, you get respect by being a woman in charge.
