Palin continues to hide from the media...

Sarah Palin will be missing from action Sunday a.m.

Three of the four now-official candidates on the major-party presidential tickets are scheduled to sit down for questions: Democrat Barack Obama on ABC's "This Week," his running mate, Joe Biden, on NBC's "Meet the Press" and Republican John McCain on CBS' "Face the Nation."

Absent from this list, of course, is the GOP's star of the moment, the not-so-long-ago obscure governor of Alaska who is McCain's running mate, Sarah Palin.

Since she was thrust onto the national stage a week ago, her appearances on it have been tightly regulated by the McCain campaign: a few side-by-side campaign stops with him and, of course, her big speech to the GOP's convention Wednesday night.

Sarah "New-clear" Palin, missing from the Sunday line up?

She's probably prepping with "Hooked on Phonics." She'll be ready, soon.

"She'll be ready, soon. "

Yeah, Nov. 5th. Until then they'll keep her wrapped up tighter than The Mummy.

A tale of two Reagans....

Michael Reagan endorsed Palin; Ron Jr (the rebel who disagrees with his dadoften) thinks Ronald Reagan may not support Palin. I put more credibility to Michael and not Ron on this Palin thing.

The admin of Aristide of Haiti collapsed when he acknowledged Voodoo as a national religion --- demonic control over this nation is still very strong.

Now some dems are trying to introduce evil spirit in the government of the US: Harry Reid invited a Hindu priest to pray in one of the Senate/Congress meetings. And the Christian-hating ACLU and hypocrite Barry Lynn kept mum.

Listen, in time, Harry Reid will pay! And no wonder God reelected George Bush to suppress a coming majority Congress --- whose approval rating is below that of Bush. God saw it coming and kept Bush to check their advances (dems).

Many are baffled why evangelicals mostly side with the conservatives --- it is because of an example like the one above (spiritual issues).

College football is the greatest sport ever...

I got $20 says Ronnie Reagan won't do an endorsement for anybody.

Ever.

Lou Holtz just had a hysterical line a second ago...

Calling himself Dr. Holtz he said "its better to be a doctor then a coach. At Notre Dame we finished second in the country... they called me an idiot. I have a friend, finished last in his med school class... they call him doctor."

Time to go for a run then get horribly shitfaced... then wake up tomorrow and do it all over again for the Eagles season opneer down at the Linc.

Have a great weekend everyone...

Go fuck your mothers...

Well, it looks like the Democrats trashed some 12,000 U.S. flags after they served their usefulness after their convention. Republicans however are recycling theirs. Don't expect this to make the national news scene. Even the Denver Post has taken it down or are swamped with traffic. Here is the link anyway: blogs.denverpost.com

It gets even better. The Democrats were going to trash them and the Republican veterans will haul the garbage bags filled with flags to the stage where McCain is speaking in Colorado Springs. sweetness-light.com

The US military provided combat training to 80 Georgian special forces commandos only months prior to Georgias army assault in South Ossetia in August.

The revelation, based on recruitment documents and interviews with US military trainers obtained by the Financial Times, could add fuel to accusations by Vladimir Putin, Russian prime minister, last month that the US had orchestrated-- the war in the Georgian enclave.

The training was provided by senior US soldiers and two military contractors. There is no evidence that the contractors or the Pentagon, which hired them, knew that the commandos they were training were likely be used in the assault on South Ossetia.

Nationwide, there are about 42 million registered Democrats and about 31 million Republicans, according to statistics compiled by The Associated Press.

The Democrats have posted big gains in many competitive states, including Nevada, New Hampshire, Iowa, Colorado and Florida. They have also been targeting historically Republican southern states.

Since 2006, the Democrats have added 167,000 voters in North Carolina, while the Republicans have added 36,000. The Democrats' biggest voter registration goal is in Georgia, where the Obama campaign hopes to register 500,000 voters before the election, said Dean, who has spent the past month traveling the country on a voter registration bus tour.

"The Obama folks are serious about Georgia," Dean said. Georgia has added 337,000 voters since 2006, but the state does not identify them by party affiliation.

In Pennsylvania, the Democrats have added 375,000 voters since 2006 while the Republicans have lost 117,000.

The media have so far focused on uncovering personal faults in Alaska Governor Sarah Palin and her family. As opposed to covering her record in expanding employment opportunities for Alaskans, while delivering energy to the rest of the nation. As mayor of Wasilla, she delivered growth and jobs, as she continued to do governor.

What exactly has Barack Obama done for his constituents when it comes to jobs? Aside from the feckless grants he gave to ineffective programs that failed to improve the education of Chicago public schools students.

The unemployment rate in Chicago is 7.5 % as of August 21st, far above the national average.

Have the insurgents decided to do the same thing they did under Saddam? Stand down and wait for a better day to fight, on their terms?

Warfare by Ambush

This is what Saddam did when we invaded... they didn't fight back, they buried their weapons and once we were intrenched and had built up our PX's and bowling alleys and gotten comfortable, they started the 6 year war that has yet to fully end.

This is the same war against US that the Indians did against the Colonists, the Colonists against the Brits, the Cong against US! Started shooting at us from behind the trees, vietnam style!

Remember, if you're going to fight and win a guerrilla war against a superior military force, do it on YOUR terms, not HIS! They did it against the French and the Afgans did it against the Russians. Learn from history, or you'll have to repeat it!

Is THIS what al Sadr is really up to... standing down so we just declare we've 'won', pack up and leave?

Never underestimate your enemy. The idea of an occupier 'winning' or 'losing' a war against patient people is absurd! Especially if you're rebuilding their country for them while they wait. -- rman said it.

The peasants are revolting (updated)
Rosslyn Smith

The national press corps is beginning to get a taste of the anger they have created among a large percentage of the American public over their treatment of Sarah Palin. It will take some longer than others to grasp the magnitude of the disaster they have created for their failing industry.

Joe Curl of the Washington Times reports that angry crowds vigorously booed the media in Cedarbug, WI:

Hundreds of angry people in this small town outside Milwaukee taunted reporters and TV crews traveling with Sen. John McCain on Friday, chanting "Be fair!" and pointing fingers at a pack of journalists as they booed loudly.

Baltimore Sun columnist Susan Reimer is not happy at the amount of attention her incredibly snide, error filled September 1 column A woman - but why this woman? has garnered.

A handful of people wrote to say that I had captured exactly their reaction to the Palin nomination. But the rest of the responses were vehement or venomous... And more than 316,000 people viewed the column on The Baltimore Sun Web site. That number -- more than 100 times the attention I normally receive -- actually frightened me.

Newsbusters' Warner Todd Huston notes

She was "actually frightened," you people! Give me a break. What? Is she crying? There's no crying in journalism.

He then dissects Reimer's original bit of feminist snark before taking her and her colleagues to task over the clueless bubble they seem to occupy.

To close my discussion with you, Reimer, I have to ask: don't you see the hatred that you expressed for this woman? Don't you see that your snide comments about her Down Syndrome child and your abhorrence with every American that votes Republican -- which is half the electorate, by the way -- just might raise a bit of ire out there? Can you really be so shocked that your spittle specked rage was met with a bit of resistance?
If not, well, you really aren't as smart as you might like to imagine.

i love it, your(meaning demos both voters and media) hypocrisy, your vile hatred and intolerance of anyone who is not in lock step with your agenda is killing you, just wait baby just wait, self destruction is so much fun to watch especially when they dont even see it coming

Daily Kos: Palin is 'Racist, Sexist, Vindictive, and Mean' - Update: Down the Memory Hole!
Sat, Sep 6, 2008 at 10:20:22 am PDT

Here we go again at Daily Kos, with another disgusting, transparently false smear against Sarah Palin: Daily Kos: So Sambo Beat The Bitch - Sarah Palin...

Progressives! Is there any depth to which they will not dive?

Heres the article theyre linking to, at LA Progressive:-- Alaskans Speak (In A Frightened Whisper): Palin Is Racist, Sexist, Vindictive, And Mean.--

The charge that Palin has racist attitudes toward Eskimos is based on the word of an anonymous waitress at an unnamed restaurant. Another word for this kind of smear is lying.--

Its not even worth debunking, but Ill just point out that Palins husband is of Eskimo descent.

Bill Clinton said, I didnt inhale.--
Barack Obama says, I didnt inject.--

The Mooseville Messiah won't save you, Scooter.

Bill Clinton said, I didnt inhale.--
Barack Obama says, I didnt inject
John McCain says, I did incinerate 140 US Sailors

Barack Obama has requested the equivalent of $1 million in new pork barrel spending for every working day he's been in the U.S Senate, while John McCain has never once asked for an earmark, and Gov. Palin has vetoed hundreds of millions in government spending, including killing the infamous 'bridge to nowhere,'" spokesman Tucker Bounds said. "Just like so many other issues, Barack Obama is all talk, has no record to back it up and isn't ready to make change."

Those who say I cant connect with the diverse peoples of this country dont know the real me,-- Obama said. To say that I dont understand the point of view of the blue-collar man is absurd. I, myself, have often worn a shirt with a blue collar. There are pictures of me in a blue shirt at campaign rallies. So, dont tell me I dont know what it is like to wear a blue-collar.--

While I do enjoy the prospect of having intelligent and reasonable decisions coming from the White House, I must admit the main reason I am so looking forward to Obama's certain election in November is because all the obnoxious rightwingers in this country are either going: leave the country; shut the fuck up; or whine like the bitches they are (and always have been.)

Good article Murph.

Dems seem to have a Jesus vibe goin' on.

This letter has been circulating for a couple days now, and I thought Id post it in full for those who havent had a chance to read it. One of the best ways to become informed about local politics is by attending city council/assembly meetings. I know this from mind-numbing, clock-staring, experience. Theres no substitute for butt-in-the-chair observation, no matter how awful it is to sit for hours on end listening to a bunch of bloviating local politicians. But its difficult not to show who you are.

This letter is written by someone who knows Sarah Palin, lives in Wasilla, and has city council lurker cred. (There ought to be a badge for that.) I think that babygate is on the way out of the news cycle, and the next aspect of her life to come under scrutiny will be her tenure as mayor. This is a good place to start. And thanks to Anne Kilkenny for speaking out. Wasilla is a small town. It takes a certain amount of conviction and downright bravery to lay it all out there like this. So a hat tip and a big sweeping bow to Anne.

I am a resident of Wasilla, Alaska. I have known Sarah since 1992.
Everyone here knows Sarah, so it is nothing special to say we are on a
first-name basis. Our children have attended the same schools. Her
father was my childs favorite substitute teacher. I also am on a
first name basis with her parents and mother-in-law. I attended more
City Council meetings during her administration than about 99% of the
residents of the city.

She is enormously popular; in every way shes like the most popular
girl in middle school. Even men who think she is a poor choice and
wont vote for her cant quit smiling when talking about her because
she is a babe--.

It is astonishing and almost scary how well she can keep a secret. She
kept her most recent pregnancy a secret from her children and parents
for seven months.

She is pro-life--. She recently gave birth to a Downs syndrome baby.
There is no cover-up involved, here; Trig is her baby.

She is energetic and hardworking. She regularly worked out at the gym.

She is savvy. She doesnt take positions; she just puts things out
there-- and if they prove to be popular, then she takes credit.

Her husband works a union job on the North Slope for BP and is a
champion snowmobile racer. Todd Palins kind of job is highly
sought-after because of the schedule and high pay. He arranges his
work schedule so he can fish for salmon in Bristol Bay for a month or
so in summer, but by no stretch of the imagination is fishing their
major source of income. Nor has her life-style ever been anything
like that of native Alaskans.

Her experience is as mayor of a city with a population of about 5,000
(at the time), and less than 2 years as governor of a state with about
670,000 residents.

During her mayoral administration most of the actual work of running
this small city was turned over to an administrator. She had been
pushed to hire this administrator by party power-brokers after she had
gotten herself into some trouble over precipitous firings which had
given rise to a recall campaign.

Sarah campaigned in Wasilla as a fiscal conservative--. During her 6
years as Mayor, she increased general government expenditures by over
33%. During those same 6 years the amount of taxes collected by the
City increased by 38%. This was during a period of low inflation
(1996-2002). She reduced progressive property taxes and increased a
regressive sales tax which taxed even food. The tax cuts that she
promoted benefited large corporate property owners way more than they
benefited residents.

MODER8

Maybe the right wingers will move to Idaho and Alaska where they can live amongst their own in lily white neighborhoods and shoot all the animals they want with high powered weapons.

Is this really what you want a 5 year old to see? This caribou looks like he suffered quite a lot. Did she cover her daughter's ears? :

Palin and 5 year old daughter kneeling by a bloody Caribou carcass

The huge increases in tax revenues during her mayoral administration
werent enough to fund everything on her wish list though, borrowed
money was needed, too. She inherited a city with zero debt, but left it
with indebtedness of over $22 million. What did Mayor Palin encourage
the voters to borrow money for? Was it the infrastructure that she said
she supported? The sewage treatment plant that the city lacked? or a
new library? No. $1m for a park. $15m-plus for construction of a
multi-use sports complex which she rushed through to build on a piece
of property that the City didnt even have clear title to, that was
still in litigation 7 yrs laterto the delight of the lawyers
involved! The sports complex itself is a nice addition to the
community but a huge money pit, not the profit-generator she claimed it
would be. She also supported bonds for $5.5m for road projects that
could have been done in 5-7 yrs without any borrowing.

While Mayor, City Hall was extensively remodeled and her office
redecorated more than once.

These are small numbers, but Wasilla is a very small city.

As an oil producer, the high price of oil has created a budget surplus
in Alaska. Rather than invest this surplus in technology that will
make us energy independent and increase efficiency, as Governor she
proposed distribution of this surplus to every individual in the state.

In this time of record state revenues and budget surpluses, she
recommended that the state borrow/bond for road projects, even while
she proposed distribution of surplus state revenues: spend todays
surplus, borrow for needs.

Shes not very tolerant of divergent opinions or open to outside ideas
or compromise. As Mayor, she fought ideas that werent generated by
her or her staff. Ideas werent evaluated on their merits, but on the
basis of who proposed them.

While Sarah was Mayor of Wasilla she tried to fire our highly respected
City Librarian because the Librarian refused to consider removing from
the library some books that Sarah wanted removed. City residents
rallied to the defense of the City Librarian and against Palins
attempt at out-and-out censorship, so Palin backed down and withdrew
her termination letter. People who fought her attempt to oust the
Librarian are on her enemies list to this day.

Sarah complained about the old boys club-- when she first ran for
Mayor, so what did she bring Wasilla? A new set of old boys--. Palin
fired most of the experienced staff she inherited. At the City and as
Governor she hired or elevated new, inexperienced, obscure people,
creating a staff totally dependent on her for their jobs and eternally
grateful and fiercely loyalloyal to the point of abusing their power
to further her personal agenda, as she has acknowledged happened in the
case of pressuring the States top cop (see below).

As Mayor, Sarah fired Wasillas Police Chief because he intimidated--
her, she told the press. As Governor, her recent firing of Alaskas top
cop has the ring of familiarity about it. He served at her pleasure
and she had every legal right to fire him, but its pretty clear that
an important factor in her decision to fire him was because he wouldnt
fire her sisters ex-husband, a State Trooper. Under investigation
for abuse of power, she has had to admit that more than 2 dozen
contacts were made between her staff and family to the person that she
later fired, pressuring him to fire her ex-brother-in-law. She tried to
replace the man she fired with a man who she knew had been reprimanded
for sexual harassment; when this caused a public furor, she withdrew
her support.

She has bitten the hand of every person who extended theirs to her in
help. The City Council person who personally escorted her around town
introducing her to voters when she first ran for Wasilla City Council
became one of her first targets when she was later elected Mayor. She
abruptly fired her loyal City Administrator; even people who didnt
like the guy were stunned by this ruthlessness.

Fear of retribution has kept all of these people from saying anything
publicly about her.

When then-Governor Murkowski was handing out political plums, Sarah got
the best, Chair of the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission: one
of the few jobs not in Juneau and one of the best paid. She had no
background in oil & gas issues. Within months of scoring this great
job which paid $122,400/yr, she was complaining in the press about the
high salary. I was told that she hated that job: the commute, the
structured hours, the work. Sarah became aware that a member of this
Commission (who was also the State Chair of the Republican Party)
engaged in unethical behavior on the job. In a gutsy move which some
undoubtedly cautioned her could be political suicide, Sarah solved all
her problems in one fell swoop: got out of the job she hated and
garnered gobs of media attention as the patron saint of ethics and as a
gutsy fighter against the old boys club-- when she dramatically quit,
exposing this mans ethics violations (for which he was fined).

As Mayor, she had her hand stuck out as far as anyone for pork from
Senator Ted Stevens. Lately, she has castigated his pork-barrel
politics and publicly humiliated him. She only opposed the bridge to
nowhere-- after it became clear that it would be unwise not to.

As Governor, she gave the Legislature no direction and budget
guidelines, then made a big grandstand display of line-item vetoing
projects, calling them pork. Public outcry and further legislative
action restored most of these projectswhich had been vetoed simply
because she was not aware of their importancebut with the unobservant
she had gained a reputation as anti-pork--.

She is solidly Republican: no political maverick. The State party
leaders hate her because she has bit them in the back and humiliated
them. Other members of the party object to her self-description as a
fiscal conservative.

Around Wasilla there are people who went to high school with Sarah.
They call her Sarah Barracuda-- because of her unbridled ambition and
predatory ruthlessness. Before she became so powerful, very ugly
stories circulated around town about shenanigans she pulled to be made
point guard on the high school basketball team. When Sarahs
mother-in-law, a highly respected member of the community and
experienced manager, ran for Mayor, Sarah refused to endorse her.

As Governor, she stepped outside of the box and put together of package
of legislation known as AGIA-- that forced the oil companies to march
to the beat of her drum.

Like most Alaskans, she favors drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife
Refuge. She has questioned if the loss of sea ice is linked to
global warming. She campaigned as a private citizen-- against a state
initiaitive that would have either a) protected salmon streams from
pollution from mines, or b) tied up in the courts all mining in the
state (depending on who you listen to). She has pushed the States
lawsuit against the Dept. of the Interiors decision to list polar
bears as threatened species.

McCain is the oldest person to ever run for President; Sarah will be a
heartbeat away from being President.

There has to be literally millions of Americans who are more
knowledgeable and experienced than she.

However, theres a lot of people who have underestimated her and are
regretting it.

CLAIM VS FACT
Hockey mom--: true for a few years
PTA mom--: true years ago when her first-born was in elementary
school, not since
NRA supporter--: absolutely true
social conservative: mixed. Opposes gay marriage, BUT vetoed a bill
that would have denied benefits to employees in same-sex relationships
(said she did this because it was unconsitutional).
pro-creationism: mixed. Supports it, BUT did nothing as Governor to
promote it.
Pro-life--: mixed. Knowingly gave birth to a Downs syndrome baby
BUT declined to call a special legislative session on some pro-life
legislation
Experienced--: Some high schools have more students than Wasilla has
residents. Many cities have more residents than the state of Alaska.
No legislative experience other than City Council. Little hands-on
supervisory or managerial experience; needed help of a city
administrator to run town of about 5,000.
political maverick: not at all
gutsy: absolutely!
open & transparent: ??? Good at keeping secrets. Not good at
explaining actions.
has a developed philosophy of public policy: no
--a Greenie--: no. Turned Wasilla into a wasteland of big box stores
and disconnected parking lots. Is pro-drilling off-shore and in ANWR.
fiscal conservative: not by my definition!
pro-infrastructure: No. Promoted a sports complex and park in a city
without a sewage treatment plant or storm drainage system. Built
streets to early 20th century standards.
pro-tax relief: Lowered taxes for businesses, increased tax burden on
residents
pro-small government: No. Oversaw greatest expansion of city
government in Wasillas history.
pro-labor/pro-union. No. Just because her husband works union
doesnt make her pro-labor. I have seen nothing to support any claim
that she is pro-labor/pro-union.

WHY AM I WRITING THIS?

First, I have long believed in the importance of being an informed
voter. I am a voter registrar. For 10 years I put on student voting
programs in the schools. If you google my name (Anne Kilkenny +
Alaska), you will find references to my participation in local
government, education, and PTA/parent organizations.

Secondly, Ive always operated in the belief that Bad things happen
when good people stay silent--. Few people know as much as I do because
few have gone to as many City Council meetings.

Third, I am just a housewife. I dont have a job she can bump me out
of. I dont belong to any organization that she can hurt. But, I am no
fool; she is immensely popular here, and it is likely that this will
cost me somehow in the future: thats life.

Fourth, she has hated me since back in 1996, when I was one of the 100
or so people who rallied to support the City Librarian against Sarahs
attempt at censorship.

Fifth, I looked around and realized that everybody else was afraid to
say anything because they were somehow vulnerable.

CAVEATS
I am not a statistician. I developed the numbers for the increase in
spending & taxation 2 years ago (when Palin was running for Governor)
from information supplied to me by the Finance Director of the City of
Wasilla, and I cant recall exactly what I adjusted for: did I adjust
for inflation? for population increases? Right now, it is impossible
for a private person to get any info out of City Hallthey are
swamped. So I cant verify my numbers.

You may have noticed that there are various numbers circulating for the
population of Wasilla, ranging from my about 5,000″, up to 9,000. The
day Palins selection was announced a city official told me that the
current population is about 7,000. The official 2000 census count was
5,460. I have used about 5,000 because Palin was Mayor from 1996 to
2002, and the city was growing rapidly in the mid-90s.

You McCin supporters better hope he's healthier than he looks, if he is elected, we are only one malignant melanoma away from President Palin.......

GOP Reform: More cronyism.

As if Bush wasn't bad enough. As if the DOJ fiasco wasn't clear enough.

Wow.

"You McCin supporters better hope he's healthier than he looks, if he is elected, we are only one malignant melanoma away from President Palin......."

Quite a few McCain voters hope he drops dead the day after Inauguration so the Mooseville Messiah can take charge.

Few people know as much as I do because
few have gone to as many City Council meetings.

"Is this really what you want a 5 year old to see? This caribou looks like he suffered quite a lot. Did she cover her daughter's ears?"

I'm sure she used a big riffle to kill it.. I would say maybe a 30-06 of 300WSM. Any way, it suffered far less than that cow you eat last night...... I don't see an issue here. It is a part of life... something you flatlanders or city folk would not understand.....

News you won't see:

"OPEC Engineered Obamas Harvard Admission (oops! More Obama Skeletons)"

"This just surfaced, rather innocently, as a matter of fact. Legendary civil rights lawyer, Percy Sutton, 87 yrs old, was being interviewed and just innocently admitted that years ago, Dr. Khalid Abdullah Tariq Al-Mansour called him and asked him to use his (Percys) connections at Harvard to help Barack Obama get him into law school.
Now the question is who is this gentleman?
Turns out, his business and professional interests include co-founding the International Law Firm of Al-Waleed, Al-Talal & Al-Mansour, representing the O.P.E.C. interest of the famous Los Angeles trial, I.M.A.W.C. vs. O.P.E.C., according to African Venture partners Here is Percy Sutton, Esq. on Inside City Hall: speaking the truth, but revealing yet another little skeleton about Barack Obama:

The Zogby minute discovers the Palin magic is gaining ground on women voters who usually favors dems.

With the base solidified, advantage over men voters, and gaining women voters, looks like McCain may nullify the new registered dems that Obama camp had been able to crow on.

The ground is shifting....

" the Palin magic "

The Mooseville Messiah won't be casting any magic spells on election day.

yes it is.

As part of the "Spare Change America Can Believe In" program, the Obama campaign today announced a plan to increase the number of states to 62. According to the press release, the plan would add five additional states, "We're going to bring in all three Canadian provinces, plus Alaska and Idahoe."

Obama's campaign is really frustrated at the persistent myths and falsehoods that continue to circulate about the candidate. For inexplicable reasons, many people continue to believe that: his middle name is Hussein: as a political gesture he refused to wear a flag pin on his lapel; he and his family went to a church with a nutty, racist pastor for 20 yrs; he thinks Middle Americans cling to their guns, religion and xenophobia; and he hangs around with unrepentant terrorists and crooked real estate developers. Please do your best to set the record straight on these points.

Why Beer Is Better Than Obama

"Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy."
Beer is better than Obama because beer likes it when I set my thermostat COLD.
Beer is better than Obama because people in small towns cling to God, guns and beer.
Beer is better than Obama because beer doesn't mind if you own an SUV.
Beer is better than Obama because beer doesn't whine, it bubbles.
Beer is better than Obama because beer comes with an expiration date.
Beer is better than Obama because beers don't have friends who bombed the pentagon.
Beer is better than Obama because an empty beer is better than an empty suit.
Beer is better than Obama because beer is worth what you pay for it.
Beer is better than Obama because beers don't start out as empties.
Beer is better than Obama because beer and coke don't mix.

After reading the note by "Anne Kilkenny" I decided to check the local newspaper. What I found is that Kilkenny writes a column called "Spectrum" every so often in the Frontier - the local news paper.

Republican compassion is missing in action. They promised us budgets leaner, but gave us only cuts meaner. For helping us they're not keener, nor for anything that's greener. The seniors' longevity bonus was gutted, and our roads are potholed and rutted. Roads are not timely snow plowed, but Murky using the state ferry like a private yacht is allowed. Burma Shave.

Health insurance, legislators have got, and a retirement that's a lot, while one out of three Alaskans have naught. Legislators eat from the pot, but tell the rest of us, "Not." Doesn't that make you hot? Burma Shave.

Anne Kilkenny never got an A on a school writing assignment, can you tell? She lives in Wasilla and will vote for a change.

I was impressed with Vic Kohring when he first went down to Juneau eight years ago. I even sent him an admiring and complimentary Christmas card one year.
I was very impressed with the handwritten notes Vic sent in reply to my messages. Occasionally, he even called me, which was very flattering. But then I had a very disheartening experience.

Late one evening Rep Kohring called to thank me for writing, and to tell me that he would keep my opinions in mind as he worked on legislation. I asked him if he was surprised by my opinion.

Silence.

Then he said, "Uh, tell me again what you wrote about." I couldn't help but think to myself what was it he was going to keep in mind when he was working on legislation when he couldn't even recall the subject I had written about?

Vic was starting to sound like a typical politician.

What a disappointment.

I started to notice that Rep. Kohring went to great lengths to acknowledge constituent mail, but did not do much else.

Vic asked how I've been; I've been disappointed.

I am now totally disillusioned with Vic Kohring.

Count me one vote for Peter Burchell.

Anne Kilkenny is a Wasilla resident.

(Vic Kohring is a Republican) So..a disgruntled attention starved house wife hack liberal writer who has visions of self importance and when that self important ego is not stoked lashes out on those that will not pay her any attention. Probably Palin dismissed her during some PTA meeting.

By the way ....do none of you care HOW OBAMA funded going to Harvard...there have been several posts on that topic and none of you responded.

Seems having someone in the pockets of the Saudi's in the Presidents chair would make some of you uncomfortable. But I guess when it comes to Dems - Party before Country is your motto.

There certainly is a very important issue here.

How much to steak out, roasts, quarter for the barbie and such as sausage etc.

Yes sir, lots to think about.

5 year old kids don't watch the cows die or listen to them moan while they do.

I'm sure she used a big riffle to kill it..

I had to pull out the dictionary to make sure this wasn't a typo:

riffle:
Noun:
2 a rocky or shallow part of a stream or river with rough water.
a patch of waves or ripples.

Killing a caribou that way seems much more grotesque than actually shooting it.

Florida State 69 Western Carolina 0...

I don't care that its Western Carolina, that game fucking ruled...

GO NOLES!!! GO EAGLES!!!!

The American Navy found they had too many officers and decided to offer an early retirement bonus. They promised any officer who volunteered for retirement a bonus of $1,000 for every inch measured in a straight line between any two points in his body. The officer got to choose what those two points would be.

The first officer who accepted asked that he be measured from the top of his head to the tip of his toes. He was measured at six feet and walked out with a bonus of $72,000.

The second officer who accepted was a little smarter and asked to be measured from the tip of his outstretched hands to his toes. He walked out with $96,000.

The third one was a noncommissioned officer, a grizzly old Chief who, when asked where he would like to be measured replied, 'From the tip of my weenie to my testicles.'

It was suggested by the pension man that he might want to reconsider, explaining about the nice big checks the previous two officers had received. But the old Chief insisted and they decided to go along with him providing the measurement was taken by a Medical Officer.

The Medical Officer arrived and instructed the Chief to 'drop 'em,' which he did. The medical officer placed the tape measure on the tip of the Chief's weenie and began to work back.

'Dear Lord!' he suddenly exclaimed, 'Where are your testicles?'

The old Chief calmly replied, ' Vietnam'.

That is correct, he was in another plane that was a victim of a Zuni rocket that misfired. Hate someone all you want but lies are a sign og your own weakness.

And even about Bush, more accurately it should be-

George W. Bush--But I didn't swallow.

I mean "That is "in"correct.....

My bad.
