After reading the note by "Anne Kilkenny" I decided to check the local newspaper. What I found is that Kilkenny writes a column called "Spectrum" every so often in the Frontier - the local news paper.

Spectrum, by Anne Kilkenny
Republican compassion is missing in action. They promised us budgets leaner, but gave us only cuts meaner. For helping us they're not keener, nor for anything that's greener. The seniors' longevity bonus was gutted, and our roads are potholed and rutted. Roads are not timely snow plowed, but Murky using the state ferry like a private yacht is allowed. Burma Shave.
Health insurance, legislators have got, and a retirement that's a lot, while one out of three Alaskans have naught. Legislators eat from the pot, but tell the rest of us, "Not." Doesn't that make you hot? Burma Shave.
Anne Kilkenny never got an A on a school writing assignment, can you tell? She lives in Wasilla and will vote for a change.

A Spectrum, by Anne Kilkenny
I was impressed with Vic Kohring when he first went down to Juneau eight years ago. I even sent him an admiring and complimentary Christmas card one year.
I was very impressed with the handwritten notes Vic sent in reply to my messages. Occasionally, he even called me, which was very flattering. But then I had a very disheartening experience.
Late one evening Rep Kohring called to thank me for writing, and to tell me that he would keep my opinions in mind as he worked on legislation. I asked him if he was surprised by my opinion.
Silence.
Then he said, "Uh, tell me again what you wrote about." I couldn't help but think to myself what was it he was going to keep in mind when he was working on legislation when he couldn't even recall the subject I had written about?
Vic was starting to sound like a typical politician.
What a disappointment.
I started to notice that Rep. Kohring went to great lengths to acknowledge constituent mail, but did not do much else.
Vic asked how I've been; I've been disappointed.
I am now totally disillusioned with Vic Kohring.
Count me one vote for Peter Burchell.

(Vic Kohring is a Republican) So..a disgruntled attention starved house wife hack liberal writer who has visions of self importance and when that self important ego is not stoked lashes out on those that will not pay her any attention. Probably Palin dismissed her during some PTA meeting.
By the way ....do none of you care HOW OBAMA funded going to Harvard...there have been several posts on that topic and none of you responded.
Seems having someone in the pockets of the Saudi's in the Presidents chair would make some of you uncomfortable. But I guess when it comes to Dems - Party before Country is your motto.
