Rumors About Sarah Palin's Fifth Child Abound on the Internet
Email
Written by Alicia on Aug-29-08 7:29pm
According to a post on The Daily Kos, Sarah Palin's five month-old son Trig may not actually be hers. The author speculates that the child, who was born with Down syndrome, may actually belong to Governor Palin's seventeen year old daughter Bristol Palin.

Hope this rumor pans out.

You smell that, Bill? Smells like something died.

Here's a family pic from the holidays before the birth. Palin's daughter has a tad of a belly there - the daughter who was out of school for months with 'mono'. Ah, here's the photo. It's in the eye of the beholder.

Why would an avid pro-lifer keep a pregnancy a secret? On the other hand, this seems like the kind of thing that would be hard to fake.

I love pictures.

None better then this one.

Obama fans should explain this.

This is the most pathetic thread on DR this election season hands down pushing malicious innuendo about a minor in an attempt to take down a candidate. To call the moron pushing this BS a piece of crap is an insult to shit and if Rcade allows this type of thing on the DR he falls into the same category.

Cheap shots about the candidates, their spouses and adult relatives is one thing but this defies decency at all levels.

Well, which is it bloggers? Is it her son? If so, then this thread is trash. Is it her grandson? Not according to this:

www.cadenhead.org

When did you get religion, Scotch? Or are you just another whiny Republican bitch that can dish it out but can't take it?

This (whether true or not) is NOT campaign material. Curiously, if true, it likely has a greater negative impact for those from "The Right" (and that's "telling", no?) than for others.

As for the whole freshness/experience debate: I suggest to the D's (and ALL, for that matter) to have the debates/interviews/etc. and let the chips fall where they may (for ANY candidate). IF there's a problem, I suspect FEW will have to be TOLD there's a problem.

come on.
you can't go and toke up before wanting to think.

?

...even if it is her grandchild, she saved the kid from having to be a bastard. That's sort of doing the RIGHT thing, in my estimation. It's fun and games to go "Lookit the conservative, hahah! Her daughter had a kid!" What was she SUPPOSED to do? set her daughter on fire for it or something? The respect for women goes instantly out the door the second the woman is an opponent.

What is wrong with Democrats these days? Ripping on someone for making the best of a bad situation? Even if this Is true, all you have done is cast even MORE aspersions on a kid who already has enough problems.

It's like the pigs and the humans at the end of Animal Farm. Democrats are dirty, disgusting politicians with flexible morals just like Republicans.

I'm just sad it took me 31 years to finally figure that out.

Sorry, SOHEIFOX, it took you so long.

But if there does turn out to be truth in this strange story, she will be out of there faster than a flight from Texas to nowhere.

I know she will. And that's sad. I mean, this is identical to the Clinton blow job thing. Yes, there might be a less then perfect thing going on here but...

HOLY CRAP WHY DO WE CARE? As the Bill thing was between him and Hillary ALONE, this is none of our damned business either. At the end of the day, why does neither party have any slight sense of DECENCY?

Bristol, hell...

....more like Kristol.

I love Obama haters, they have nothing on him so they attack him by attacking people that he knew. That means you can't find anything on him. He is no more responsible for this guy's actions than your friends are for you posting this idiotic response. LOL

If true, sure, honorable. Except for the lying and deception part. That, not so good.

Cheap shots about the candidates, their spouses and adult relatives is one thing but this defies decency at all levels.

I agree. Unless much better evidence comes to light, this kind of tripe is completely un-called for, from any side.

We must win by any means necessary. The right will stoop to new lows why not us?

Track, Bristol, Willow, Piper & Trig

Them some weird ass names.

And people think Barack is a funny name?

Bristol?

Obviously Sarah's never been to England where "Bristols" are a common slang form fer boobies.

Mmmmmmm Boobies.

Sorry, wot as Spud sayin'.

Oh yeah, this salacious intrawebs rumour is most likely false.

Now the one about how she managed to rack up 20 million dollars worth of debt in a town of 7,000?

That one's true.

www.politico.com

Mayoral performance. Palin, who portrays herself as a fiscal conservative, racked up nearly $20 million in long-term debt as mayor of the tiny town of Wasilla that amounts to $3,000 per resident. She argues that the debt was needed to fund improvements.

Fiscal Conservative?

Can people still say that with a straight face?

Drop the "servative" part and you may be onto sommat.

Be Well.

Now that's actually some informative stuff. Someone should make a thread out of that! ...naw, hold it till next week, one thing at a time.

Regardless of whether she has "chosen" to do the right thing if it is her grandchild...she had a choice. Something she will work to take away from the rest of the women of this country for starters. Secondly, if it is her grandchild and she has woven a web of lies to deceive what is now the American public since she has accepted this role then she is a public liar. The whole baby thing is definitely fishy...or is she just a questionable parent with no regard to a newborn...special needs or not?

...dude you just typed a paragraph saying absolutely nothing. Except the part where you said she had "no regard" for the newborn that she PREVENTED FROM BEING A BASTARD. Even if it is true, she did the best she could with the situation she had. I don't see where you offer any useful alternatives. I ask again, what was she supposed to do, set her daughter on fire? Force her daughter to get an abortion? She did the best she could with a bad situation, IF this is even true.

(Incidentally, I'm doubting it. That's not a pregnant daughter in that photo.. that's just a chubby kid. Babies don't cause rolls of flab; they cause shaped bumps.)

Let me explain something to you: in a decent society, there ARE some things we lie about. There are even some things it's RIGHT to lie about.

Or do you think that Bill Clinton's blowjob was business of anyone but his and his wife's?

To call the moron pushing this BS a piece of crap is an insult to shit and if Rcade allows this type of thing on the DR he falls into the same category.

I've let a lot crazier stuff than this stay on the back page. As much as possible, I try to stay out of the business of deciding which links are OK for users to post and which links aren't.

This won't be going on the front page, though.

I do agree that this is taking the low road, and it's happening all across the liberal blogs today. I looked into this just for the hell of it, and there's not an ounce of real evidence I could find anywhere. It's just hearsay and speculation, which apparently was going around Alaska before Palin was picked.

It reminds me of some of the ugliest of the anti-Clinton attacks in the '90s.

I'm tellin' ya, Rogers.. The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which. I hope the Dems grow the fuck up and realize that "fighting back" is not the same thing as "sinking to their level"

I sometimes fear that Dems have already become most of the things we hated so much about Repubs. If Obama wins and Dems start their own K Street machine it will be a serious strain on the "yellow dog" status of this site.

Well, RCADE, as you know one of Obama's pet peeves are the lobbyists who control the agenda. He's made a pledge to never have them in the White House. He's written the most comprehensive ethics legislation since Watergate. He would have written much more into it if it were possible to pass under the current President and status quo.

He'll lead by example. He sees and states clearly that lobbyists have had too much of a grip on our national agenda and purse strings. So, I doubt what you propose would happen if Obama's elected.

Rcade- palin is certainly getting it now...

Before anyone bitches...some of these links are from other websites and magazines, just reporiduced on huff.

Also, RCADE, Congressional DEMS have been holding their attacks to differences on the issues.

Obama told his campaign staff that he refused to take the low road saying in essence, "If I win we can change the tone of politics in Washington, and I'll be able to govern because I didn't take the low road". He's run his campaign on the issues and logical differences and not taken the low road in Rove attacks.

Nothing the DEMS could do will ever compare to the K Street efforts of Abramoff and Reed and Delay, or the gutter politics of the Karl Rove's of this world.

Thing is, AU, it's easy not to take the low road when your unaffiliated field agents (bloggers) and the media's already doing it for you. If Obama wants me to care what he has to say, he has to not only not PERSONALLY take the low road, he has to denounce those who do, as well.

Point is, there's a severe difference between "We won't walk that road, wink wink nudge nudge" and "Hey! Grow the hell up! You guys sound like the Republicans!"

SOHEIFOX

He's called out quite a few of those kinds of tactics, and even pulled TV ads he deemed to 'low road' - refusing to let others do that for him.

His surrogates have spoken on the issues and not stooped to calling someone names or questioning their patriotism, for example. Just three months ago a trusted national security adviser, praised as talented by her peers, had to leave the campaign after making disparaging remarks about Hillary.

IMHO he's walked the walk and insisted others even peripherally involved in his campaign adhere to the same standard.

"Just three months ago a trusted national security adviser, praised as talented by her peers, had to leave the campaign after making disparaging remarks about Hillary."

I'd like a link on that one, so I can read it tomorrow. Night! No computers to fix tomorrow so's I can blog all day, lol.

Here ya go SOHEIFOX:

Samantha Powers leaves Obama campaign:

www.boston.com

This article Alex posted on Palin is really, really good. No baby mentions. Just a whole lot of very, very, salient points...

www.huffingtonpost.com

Sorry, it was five months ago Powers resigned. She's regarded as a very sharp and astute person on foreign affairs and national security

If Obama wants me to care what he has to say, he has to not only not PERSONALLY take the low road, he has to denounce those who do, as well.

He has not control whatsoever what bloggers or the media write.

He has repeatedly called for a 'new kind of politics where we can disagree without being disagreeable' and otherwise been as strong a proponent of waging a campaign based on the issues rather than gutter attacks. What more could he possibly do? Perhaps if elected President he can use that powerful pulpit to bring others into the fold of politicians focusing on the issues and getting something done.

I can't recall a politician before him who was such a proponent of a politics free of personal attacks, nor one who's walked the walk as thoroughly as he has when the low road would be so easy to do - and even perhaps more beneficial politically.

Here's an April 27 blog entry from a woman who shared a commercial flight out of Fairbanks, Alaska, with Palin in March and confirms she was pregnant:

www.polartrec.com

Google's cache confirms the blog entry has been unchanged since April. That ought to put this cruel speculation to rest.

The politics of personal attack were invented by Gingrich and the Republicans in the '90's.

They have NO standing to complain of attacks against them.

Rcade one can assume that by April 27 she would LOOK pregnant, whether she was or not, I think.

Re: entry 36

i read the woman's blog entry...she made no mention of any pregnacy. So, may your comments won't put things to rest.

RCADE:

The blog you linked in entry # 37 makes no reference to the Gov. being pregnant.

The lady says that the Gov. was nice, and about the jet etc...but no pregnancy???

Holdout....you read the blog entry? Re-read the 3rd paragraph...

I don't know if Sarah or her daughter was pregnant, but it does strike me as strange that a woman in labor, who had to rush out of the speech she had just given, would then spend her time pleasantly chatting and having her picture taken by a total stranger:

I approached the Governor and told her a little bit about PolarTREC and why I was in Alaska. She told me that she knew of the program and then introduced me to her adorable daughter Piper. We chatted about Florida and Barrow, Alaska and flying commercial. She said she really enjoys and prefers flying with people who either live in or are visiting Alaska. She even flies coach! She was kind enough to take several photos with me.

I invited Governor Sarah Palin to come visit me on my expedition to Barrow in June. She said she would love to and that I should drop her an email, which I will do.

www.polartrec.com

Of course I had to check out the Hottest Governor in the US-- and quickly turned to see her pregnant (she has since had her baby) with bags and daughter in tote. Then it struck me as odd. Why is the Governor of Alaska in the airport and preparing to get onto my commercial flight?

Gal,from the same article you and Rcade linked to...again, it's the 3rd paragraph...

American1st,

Yes, I saw the paragraph you mentioned. One person saying she was pregnant is not proof, IMO. I'm not saying she wasn't, but the pictures and circumstances of her announcement and delivery leave room for questions to be raised. Chances are she really was pregnant and delivered in just the manner she has described, but one anyonymous blogger claiming she was pregnant in not proof beyond a reasonable doubt in my book.

I love Obama haters, they have nothing on him so they attack him by attacking people that he knew.

It was early last September,

As near as I can remember,

While strolling down a lane in tipsy pride.

Not a word did I utter

As I lay down in the gutter

And this pig came up and lay there by my side.

Not a soul was I disturbing

As I lay there by the curbing,

When this high toned lady come

And I heard her say:

"You can tell a man who boozes,

By the company he chooses."

And the pig got up and slowly walked away.

As a former wasilla, AK resident(pop. 3,000 + not 8,000)the truth about Sarah and what the Mccain campaign is currently doing in Wasilla to Vette Sarah is remarkable. Sarah is not a reformer but is refered to as a bully from both sides of the isle in AK government. Sarah is not as far right on abortion as the republican party may state (see alaskaprochoice.org - photo of Sarah)since she has been known to make some deals with the other party to keep quiet or not move on other legeslative bills i.e. parental approval on an abortion. Regarding Bristol and the birth of Trigg, cannot confirm if the baby is Sarah's or Trigg's but can confirm from most at the AK state fair and those who know Bristol, she is most likely pregnant now. Much, much more to come on Sarah's rise to stardom. See Syrin.vox.com. Syrin has been a voice against Sarah Palin for many years. I know Sarah and Todd well and hope this add's some validity
