He voted "present" more then anyone else in there. He might as well have been a stay-at-home father for all the experience that built up.

Do you have a link for that? 'Cuz it was about 3% of the total votes he cast. And voting present is a fairly common tactic used in the Illinois legislature for a variety of reasons. But let's not go back a rehash a talking point that has been debunked months ago.

SOH, considering McCain's age and current health condition, (overweight, former smoker, heavy partying when he was young, POW survivor, cancer survivor) you have to admit that there is high probability that he isn't going to be able to serve a full term.

I wish him good health and long(er) life, but there is a certain amount of risk with him. Based on the just average lifespan of American males the odds are not in his favor.

I don't think anyone, in judging the McCain/Palin ticket, can afford to look at her as just another VP candidate. I look at her and assume there is at least a 50/50 chance she will have to assume the Presidency if McCain is elected.
