Possibly you are offended by how you gather lesbians, and other impaired people (LGBT), who are drawn to marginal relationships, are viewed by others in the community. The "jokes" convey quite a bit of an unconscious attitude.

If you are offended, you're offended for yourself. This dead lesbian is no longer a conscious sentient creature, and so is beyond reproach. All of the hilarity and mirth her situation evokes in some, is meaningless to her. No one can insult "her."

Are you irate because of the way that you feel that you are regarded? Remember that declarations of "gay pride" are supposed to insulate you from any jibes. If you're confident with yourself and your situation, then the attitudes of others shouldn't demean you. Remember, no one is taking any "action" adverse to LGBTs here, just expressing opinions albeit obliquely with humor.
