Libertarian Party presidential nominee Bob Barr is pulling from 8 to 11 percent in battleground states that will play a key role in determining the outcome of the November election, according to the pollster Zogby.

Go Barr Go!

Any true conservative should vote for Barr.

I have yet to see a poll that included Barr that gave any chnace in hell to McCain.

Go Barr! I'm in Oregon. I'll vote for you as this state is already a lock for the Blue Team.

Any true conservative should vote for Barr.

Either that or try to get Ron Paul nominated at the GOP convention.

This doesn't include the 1-2% or Rep. votes that Paul is going to get as well.

He might get 5% in Oregon.

I see more PAUL stickers than McCain out here.

But then again, I haven't seen a single McCain sticker or sign yet.

Bumper stickers don't vote.

Oh. You didn't know that. Okay. Now you do.

Bumper stickers don't vote.

No, but disgruntled conservatives do.

I'll let you know when McCain wins Oregon!

I've voted Libertarian for President 4 of the last 5 elections but I ain't voting for Johnny-come-lately Barr and anyways the Libertarians have been tripping over themselves to out-libertarian everybody else. I'll probably write Dr. Paul's name in myself come November cause I sure as hell ain't voting for 0bama or McCain (unless TonyRoma continues to convince me to vote for McCain).

I'm pretty sure the GOppers embrace of global warming and anti-ANWR standwill bring back the conservatives.

Barr may represent real change. Possibly better than the status quo, but his appearances I've seen on TV were pretty feable and confusing.

Vote BOB BARR for Liberty! ya...

sure

ok

lets vote BOB BARR because it is IMPORTANT to get this mother into double digits so he can pester the GOP in the next election cycle!

Bob Barr will be the Ralph Nader of 2008.

The GOP is not crazy about McCain.

McCain's VP picks are in a pickle. Romney and McCain own too many homes together and Romney has laid off tens of thousands of American workers or outsourced them to China.

Pawlenty could put a hyperactive chimpanzee on meth to sleep. Biden will wipe the floor with him.

Liebermann and Ridge, pro-choice candidates, are unacceptable to the base.

Gonna be a tough pick for McCain

So which candidate will Barr pull votes from - Obama or McCain?

Barr's a Republican CC

Good call AMERICANUNITY.

I was just thinking of the comparison to Ralph Nader.

Yes good for Ralph the GOP'er who was fixated on how many blow jobs Bill Clinton was getting, while Bob Barr was not! Jealous mother there!!

Going back to Ohio this weekend for the holiday. Will be promoting BARR big time to all the GOP'ers.

LET'S SEE IF WE CAN GET THAT 8% in OHIO up to 11!

HA HA HA HA HAH!!!

LORDIE LORD I haven't had this much FUN since Kansas City in 1976!

McCain's only hope is that this is total BS. Obama only needs to win a few of the battleground states to get elected and if these figures are only half correct he will do that easily. If Obama wins Ohio's 20 votes then McCain is toast.

The media studiously ignores the solid mathematical probability that Obama will beat McCain fairly easily just like they ignored the mathematical certainty that he had beaten Hillary after those 12 or 13 consecutive primary wins back in February and March.

Too bad Barr can't win. We need less government!

UNCLESAM

Then don't vote for anymore GOP candidates.

They've presided over the largest expansion of government since the New Deal

"Gonna be a tough pick for McCain"

Kay Bailey Hutchinson.

Pretty funny if Barr puts the final nail in McCain's bid... especially seeing as how Barr was front and center in the Clinton impeachment.

"Gonna be a tough pick for McCain"

Kay Bailey Hutchinson.

According to MSNBC's Chuck Todd, McCain HATES Hutchinson with a vengeance. He was talking about this earlier this morning, so I don't see it happening.

She is the only GOP women with the aura of experience in being ready to take-over the Presidency currently on the radar screen but for perhaps Condi. But Condi personifies Iraq, especially with her testimony to the 9/11 Commission and the subsequent discovery of repeated warnings ignored by the Bush Administration of the pending attacks.

I'd like to write in Ron Paul, but i'm gonna vote for obama.

whoever wins this thing has got a lot of cleaning up to do.

Plus they are gonna get blamed for the economic mess that is gonna be required to clean the mess up. And it's gonna require higher taxes. The debt has to be paid or it will eat the economy like a cancer.

If McSame gets it, we will continue the debt spending and tax cuts paid for by debt spending, while the cancer grows.

If obama gets it, it's gonna be higher taxes but with more spending internally.

The only way either one will be successful is to cut spending, which is gonna be hard.

Stop funneling money from our government to big oil companies via iraq would be a good place to start.

...McCain HATES Hutchinson with a vengeance.

Who likes McCain? He's a angry little prick.

"McCain HATES Hutchinson"

It didn't stop JFK/Johnson.

And it would throw a wrench at the Hillary supporters.

We have a winner, folks!

The media isn't reporting this factoid because it undermines their narrative of why Obama isn't leading by large margins when the nation is so upset with the generic GOP in party-likability polling. I believe it was about the same in 2004 and Kerry lost due to the artful playing of the fear card yet again by Bushco and Rove. Can't see it working again like it did in both 2000 and 2004.

Bill Clinton's going to turn the last 8 years into a trumping joker working for Obama with his speech tonight. Just watch.

Ensure the Safety and Survival of our Country,

VOTE SpongeBob Squarepants!

It didn't stop JFK/Johnson.

And it would throw a wrench at the Hillary supporters.

In the immortal words of another great Texan, "Sir, I knew John Kennedy and (John McCain) is no John Kennedy!"

Along with the fact that Hutchinson would still back the anti-woman policies and politics espoused by John McCain and the Republican Party. As Hillary already decried, "No way, no how, NO McCain!" Her women get it.

The only question is-who should he pick for his VP-

Foghorn Leghorn-or-Vin Diesel?

Bar is a poser whore. Corporate libertarian should be an oxymoron.

"In the immortal words of another great Texan, "Sir, I knew John Kennedy and (John McCain) is no John Kennedy!"

Gee Tony you must be younger than I thought you were cause JFK's politics were a lot more politically in line with McCain than with todays Democratic party. Crap I wouldnt be surprised if he and Bobby have been turning over in their graves the last 40 years over what Ted has done to soil the family name.

Huh? I'm probably much older than you think cause I personally remember JFK's funeral although I was a child at the time. The Kennedy legacy has never been one of just positive vibes. All the men had excesses, usually of the feminine persuasion.

You're correct that in many ways the 60's Kennedy's were more conservative than today's Democrats. But you forget the opposite: today's GOP is far more reactionary than was the Party prior to Goldwater and Reagan. Everyone is merely representative of their own time, imo, as any person should be under the circumstances present.

A real conservative would vote for Barr.

It is not shocking to see the faux conservatives attacking him.

I wholeheartedly agree.

"...McCain HATES Hutchinson with a vengeance."

Oh but that was the old John McCain, the one even libs respected. The new John McSame will kiss any ass he needs to, ambition drives him, by his own admission in his own autobiography.
Personally, his hatred for Hutchinson is an endearing quality. If that woman were elected VP it would be worse than Bush/Cheney. I can't stand that pompous, self-righteous bitch.

I would vote for a real libertarian. Barr is a republican who plays libertarian for publicity.

I'd vote for a librarian, but the ones at my local library were always grumpy old women with no sense of humor.

Seriously, the only VP pick that makes sense for McCain is Huckabee.

Barr Only Presidential Candidate on Texas Ballot

www.lp.org

Republicans, Democrats miss deadline to file presidential candidates in Texas

Our course, if Republicans and Democrats rape teh constitution right and left, why would a silly election deadline prevent them from getting on the ballot. After all, election deadlines are only on the books to cowardly keep out third party candidates.

It's the only way a Democrat will win (see Perot).

That unfortunate circumstance isn't enough to keep me from voting Barr, though.

I'm always skeptical of polls that show any libertarian doing well. When it comes down to it, people don't have the stones to actually pull the lever for them. I'll be voting Barr anyways as I can't stomach either of the major party candidates.

"Neither Barr nor Nader are currently qualified to participate, according to rules set out by the Commission on Presidential Debates, a private non-profit corporation that has organized debates in the last several presidential election cycles. The CPD requires that to be included in their debates, candidates must appear on enough state ballots to have a mathematical chance of winning a majority of Electoral College votes, and must be winning at least 15% support in national public opinion polls before the debates."

My states a lock for the Reds, So I'll be voting Bob Barr just to get his numbers looking good.

I accept Bob Barrs change of heart on his old policies because of the work he's been doing since he left congress.

Good luck Bob!

I can't stand that pompous, self-righteous bitch.

She has the look and the brains of a Stepford Wife.

go barr go. suck away mccains votes. stop the evil man

The US is not exactly in the toilet yet, but it's standing on the rim. Let McCain win and then just jump right in and flush. Any vote that isn't a vote to keep McCain out, is a vote to accelerate the downfall of the nation.

I thought it was bad enough that W got in a second time. Now we're going to give him a THIRD term. And Bob the Boob Barr is going to help make it happen.
