Politico: Democrat Barack Obama's selection of Joe Biden as a running mate is complicating Republican John McCain's analysis of his prospective vice presidential contenders. "McCain knows Biden well," said one Republican operative. "He knows how good he is as a knife fighter. He'll take McCain apart."

Some one on that ScreamTeam has to wear the pants, and it sure ain't Barack.

The star of former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney seemed to be rising this summer in tandem with voters increasing anxiety about the economy. But a McCain gaffe over how many homes he owns he told Politico he didn't know the exact number would take on new life if multimillionaire Romney became his running mate.

Democrats already have calculated that the two men own a dozen homes between them, valued at a total of about $35 million.

That message could hurt McCain in two ways: It undercuts his argument that Obama is an out-of-touch elitist and would make Romney a poor match to Biden's middle-class upbringing and common-man appeal on the stump.

Although you've yet to hear it from the chattering class of the MSM, Obama's choice of Joe Biden has put the McCain camp into Defcon 1 mode with Friday quickly approaching and no good options from which to choose.

McCain's own vapidness (wouldn't one expect such an answer from Paris or Brittney?) in not dealing with the simple question of homes has left him standing naked in his gilded robe in one of his many mansions. How can McCain pick the economy whiz Romney, who's estimated worth exceeds $200 million? How can he pick Tim Pawlenty or any other novice or rookie politician after making Obama's short experience and lack of readiness (in McCain's eyes) the foundation of his campaign?

McCain has cut all the ground from beneath him, and if the tea leaves are reading correctly, he can kiss the prospect of Colin Powell goodbye because Powell stands vehemently against the neo-con cabal McCain now surrounds himself with. Colin took the bullet once, and that was more than enough. Its obvious that Powell supports Obama and will likely announce just that post conventions.

McCain and the GOP are between a rock and a hard place. Too bad they didn't realize their own attacks against Obama would come back to haunt them in choosing the most suitable partner for McCain. Can't wait to hear "Well this obviously means McCain feels he lacks -blank- in this area because he chose whoever."

Sauce for the goose....

Yeah, I've always noticed that the "he owns a lot of homes" strategy has been such a success in winning !elections.

Wow, these people made money, are successful, and enterprising, not to mention EXPERIENCED.
Vote Obama '08. He's not like these guys

Hey Fillet O'Fish, Obama's already gutted your insipid arguments and served them up for Biden to smash right back in your face from now until Election Day.

Remember, its about "judgment". Too bad all of McCain's have been proven disastrous and Joe Bi knows them all very intimately.

Remember, its about "judgment".

America agrees, which is why Celebobama is trailing in the polls during the week of his own convention. They've seen his judgment in action, and weren't very impressed.

Yeah, I've always noticed that the "he owns a lot of homes" strategy has been such a success in winning !elections.

Of course this coming from the man trying to paint his opponent as an elitist and like Paris and Brittney.

Logic escapes you Fillet O', something you fail to recognize on a regular basis.

Tying Presidential candidates to vapid, slutty starlettes has also been a winning formula, right?

Do you bother to ever listen to yourself?

How the hell can John McCain out neocon Obama now? It's going to be impossible!

America agrees, which is why Celebobama is trailing in the polls during the week of his own convention. They've seen his judgment in action, and weren't very impressed.

There are no polls out for this week moron. This week is happening NOW. The only poll is Gallup's Daily Tracking and every analyst calls it nearly worthless. But if it makes you feel better, go right ahead.

Voting today? Idiot....

Voting today? Idiot....

You lose even more credibility when you stoop to this. Also, it tells me you can't make a comeback.

The only poll is Gallup's Daily Tracking and every analyst calls it nearly worthless.

Now you're just lying. First you create strawmen, now you lie for your savior. How do you sleep at night? In Obamajammies?

Of course this coming from the man trying to paint his opponent as an elitist and like Paris and Brittney.

The elitist tag stems from his "clinging to guns and religion comment" and the Paris and Brittney comparisons come from his bizarre, celebrity-status much as Brittney and Paris' celebrity-status is bizarre, given their level of 'talent' in such an arena.

"The only poll is Gallup's Daily Tracking"

sure

"Wednesday, August 27, 2008
The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows Barack Obama and John McCain each attracting 44% of the vote for the second straight day."

www.rasmussenreports.com

Oh so dumb Fillet. You need to get out more. When is a lie not a lie? When someone actually makes the comment themselves!

"The Gallup Daily tracking poll is apparently a particular sore point. When asked whether they were unhappy that the Biden announcement had not produced a bounce in national polls, Plouffe shot back: "How would we know . . . from the Gallup Daily?" The Gallup Daily is "something we don't pay attention to," he said again.

Communications director Dan Pfieffer later put it more bluntly, expressing unhappiness with the "inordinate focus on bad polling" by the media and also in the routine misinterpretation of sampling noise in the Gallup Daily poll. "The Gallup Daily is the worst thing that's happened in journalism in 20 years," he said.

Campaigns seeking to win always ignore valid polls that don't tell them what they want to hear Fillet.

Got any more good ones to tell?

The elitist tag stems from his "clinging to guns and religion comment" and the Paris and Brittney comparisons come from his bizarre, celebrity-status much as Brittney and Paris' celebrity-status is bizarre, given their level of 'talent' in such an arena.

And again its undercut by the truth of why Obama draws large crowds of enthusiastic people to hear him speak. Simply, people want to hear what he has to say. The same can't be said about either Paris or Brittney, but continue to believe its a valid comparison for a Presidential candidate to make against his opponent while both are spending hundreds of millions of dollars trying to BUILD their recognition in the eyes of the electorate.

Yep, celebrity is a bad thing., but only for that Barack guy....

Did you hear McCain say that on Leno or was it in his SNL appearance, or maybe in the Wedding Crashers movie?

McCain has been on Jon Stewart's Daily Show how many times???
He's like a guest host.

Hey Fillet O' Fish, have you bothered to track the latest polls today?

First you create strawmen, now you lie for your savior. How do you sleep at night? In Obamajammies?

No, I wear your a blanket made from your former carcass of fish scales.

How's it feel to be an integral part of McDonalds' value menu?

No, I wear your a blanket made from your former carcass of fish scales.

Damn...and I hadn't even had a drink....

The polls say Biden has done nothing for the Pussy Party. McCain has just gone ahead in the Gallup daily tracking poll. McCain will keep running those funny commercials using Hillary's and uther's own words to attck Obama because they are working.

America agrees, which is why Celebobama is trailing in the polls during the week of his own convention.
funny, RCP has Obama up by 3.
Then again, it's that old reality and the right thing...

Biden sure made Mcsame sound incompetent tonight, listing asll his wrongs and Obama's rights.

In a recent poll, Obama and McCain are running at 43% each. It's a close race.

In review of the data, it was discovered that 1000 people were called and 236 hung up and wouldn't take the poll.

When the 236 people were called back after polling, they said they were Obama supporters, but didn't like polls and chose not to take it.

Now, add those 236 people to Obama's numbers and it ain't an even 43%.

Most polls are made up.

Wow, these people made money, are successful, and enterprising ...

John McCain's only business venture was marrying a rich beer heiress. Portray the guy as a war hero, distinguished senator and vet, fine, but pretending he got those seven/eight/nine/howevermany houses through being "enterprising" is bogus.

As of today
Gallup Obama 45 McCain 44
Rasmussen Obama 44 McCain 44
Rasmussen has been more acurate than Gallup historically

All EV polls show Obama way ahead or over 270

Whats strange is though polls are close
Obama campaign gear selling 5X better than McCains gear
Obama drawing 5X more crowds than McCain
Are these newbies that are not included the polls?

In an Oregon appearance Obama drew over 60,000, local TV could not find a single individual in that crowd that participated in a poll. I'm sure they didn't talk to all 60,000 but rather a sample, but still it's strange
So whats up?

I hope McCain picks Pawlenty.

He could put a hyperactive chimpanzee on meth to sleep.

Mitt will be a pox on the McCain candidacy. 12 houses between the two of them, the fact Mitt laid off workers and offshored tens of thousands of worker's jobs won't set well with working class voters in Michigan, Ohio, or Pennsylvania.

Liebermann will upset the base. Besides the Iraq War he and McCain are on opposite sides of most issues.

Kay Bailey Hutchinson is a tool.

Huckabee would be the only pragmatic pick for McCain to appeal to the base, but would turn off independents.

But, all the choices McCain has pale in comparison to Obama's pick of Biden.

Some one on that ScreamTeam has to wear the pants, and it sure ain't Barack.

So far the only one of the Democrat nominees to wear the pants(suit) on the campaign trail
has been Hillary. Obama seems to come off as a milquetoast kinda guy. He needs to man up and get a pair. If not, let's hope Obama can at least borrow Biden's in time for the upcoming debates. Hasn't Obama learned yet that (too) nice guys finish last? Especially in politics.

If KB Hutchinson is a tool, then that's the one he will pick. But i agree with what you are saying about all the other choices. Plus she's from texas, just to round out the whole 'i'm just like bush' routine.

BABYBOOMERS ARE GOING TO RETIRE,SITTING DOWN, TALKING SHIT AND GET PAID.SOMEBODY HAS TO PICK Dr.KERVOKEAN TO BE VICE-PRESIDENT TO TAKE CARE OF THEM.....GOOD..

AP has just announced the McCain has NOT picked his VP yet.

Mcsame is doing a three state rollout of his nominee-it'll be Rudy in one, Huckleberry in another and Mitt in the third. Great thing is, he'll be equally surprised by who he picked each time.

"According to ABC News, Romney was followed to the airport yesterday "by a grey unmarked Chevy SUV with police lights. Two men wearing suits using ear pieces were in the driver and passenger seats." Has his Secret Service protection already arrived?"

Oh please, please, please pick Romney!

Nothing will drive how out of touch the GOP is than to have two multimillionaires who own 12 houses between them.

A Romney VP nod will be death to McCain in Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. No one in the 2008 race laid off more workers o offshored more jobs than Romney.

And what a pair of flip floppers. Video of Romney as Governor of Mass. talking about a woman's right to choose, universal health care, etc. will make his sudden transformation as Ronald Reagan's clone look utterly foolish, and highlight McCain "The Candidate", who is against things McCain the Senator was for, or even bills McCain the Senator wrote himself that he now opposes.

AU-if they pick Romney the DNC can also run ads in the Bible Belt saying Huckabee was too Christian for McSame and in the NE saying Rudy was too catholic for McSame. And of course, everywhere saying the GOP would never pick a jew like Lieberman.

Come on Matt ole boy, your losing your edge. Who is McCain picking as VP. You were wrong about Bayh last week, lets see if you can nail McCain's VP

Hey Fish, you just got your arce kicked by Tony Roma and no comeback! Typically repub. All bark and no bite. No 9/11 part deux to save your sorry asses now. And shut up FWTHOM. You're getting on my nerves. What country are you and Fish going to move to now when Obama becomes #44? How bout South Africa. They love racist's down there.
