For many of us, it's not being "for" McCain, or the Republicans generally. It is being "against" the Democrats, and against Obama particularly.
Many voters who identify withb labor and the unions are put off by other groups pursuing their agendas under the Democrat umbrella.
I recognize that most of us make our minds up, and then try to find logical justification for our decision.
Although she was the bete noir of the Republicans, Ms Hillary was a vetted candidate with a broad background and perspective, and not particularly beholden to any fringe positions.
Obama is a parochial insular candidate, whose focus has been racial matters within a city. He has with his naive statements concerning foreign policy coupled with the infantile idea that "he" can convince other countries to abandon "their" agendas, which redound tof their benefit, because he has some charismatic touch, is beyond rationality.
Many of you dismiss Obama's "ghetto mentality," the fact that his outlook is based on his focus on race relations in a city, and that his background is involvement in race relations. Obama worked as a street agitator. His "intellectual stimulation" came from "street people." He is subject to the limitations this perspective imposed.
Obama also was involved in an adjunct race-oriented group, the hate-mongering (focused on denouncing America, whitey, Jews) cult of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, whom Obama claims as a mentor. The same cult advocated black separatism, black superiority, and preference for blacks. This doctrine was iterated and reiterated on Obama's consciousness.
Obama was intimately involved with other black racists, the Nation of Islam and their leader Minister Louis Farrakhan. Farrakhan was chosen as Man of the Year by the Obama's cult, and Obama has long socially associated with Farrakhan, The extent of the involvement and influence of the Nation of Islam hate group on Obama is dramatically demonstrated by Obama's employment of numerous members of this hate group, and the allegation that prospective employees for Obama, are vetted by a Nation of Islam member to insure conformity with Nation of Islam protocols.
I can continue at length with Bill Ayers, domestic terrorist, and corrupt political fixer, Revko, and their associations with Obama. But I'll set those issues aside for the nonce, and ask how any of you "liberals," who purport to eschew "racism," can support a man raised and nurtured on racial hatred, and not blanch. It would seem that such associations would be permanently disqualifying. I know that most white people shun and avoid white hate groups, and marginalize their members and associates. Yet here, there are all sorts of rationalizations and apologetics provided to justify support for a man encsconsed in hate group ideology and practice for most of his adult life.
What's the deal liberals? How does your ideology enable you to support a man mentored and nurtured by revered figures in a hate-group environment, and whose employees of his political offices have been "vetted" by a hate group member, whose approval was necessary as a condition of their employment. Has hate-group practitioner Obama somehow rehabilitated himself by publicly distancing himself from his hate group mentor under great political pressure. Or is it likely that Obama has not had a transforming experience and still is the person largely molded by his hate group involvement and influences. Obama will continue to respond to those influences on an unconscious basis as they represent the core of his being.
