I have to wonder. In the world of information there are some people whose sole purpose is to spread dis-information. I'll give you an example. I am a 32nd degree mason. I have never engaged, or wanted to engage in a satanic ritual in my life, but i have heard the theory pushed that the masons are a satanic cult.

This is especially wierd to me because all the masons i know are cleaner than a monks dick and twice as honest as abe lincoln.

So the masonic/satanic thing is just pure unadulterated bullshit. But i ask myself, to what advantage is it to spread this kind of mis-information?

One day it hit me. Fear of the unknown. If someone fears that you know something that they don't, they are more likely to submit to the power and stfu. This is real power.

As far as skull and bones and those kinds of groups, it's just a boys fraternity for the well-heeled. The power comes from the mystique but the truth is that daddy has (government or business)power and he intends for his son to inherit the power. the boy has to learn the skills of keeping the power locked away and unreachable by outsiders.

The first lesson is learning how to keep a secret. The second lesson is to hand off power to the other members that know how to keep a secret. The third lesson is what happens to you if you break the first two lessons.

This is also how corruption evades detection. Inside the circle, there is no corruption but sometimes local laws (such as the constitution) get in the way of having a good time and making a few million.
