I don't understand why the coach would be banned for life. Did he tell the guy to kick the ref in the face? I can understand some penalty for the coach because he should keep a handle on the guy's temper, but banning him for life is kinda silly.

But I've never lost a fight to someone who practices it. It's like the Capoeria of eastern arts. Pretty, EXTREMELY athletic, but ultimately useless.

Whatever. You're not required to take my word for it. Check the opinions of your local sensei. He'll tell you the same thing. Feel free to tell him he's just doing "tough guy talk" as well.

I go to a MMA school. We learn Muy thai, BJJ and Judo. I think these are better than TKD but I will say I think some TKD guys kick hard. I remember seeing Bill Duff getting KO'd on some tv show that explored martial arts.

I used to date a good-looking woman who practised TKD. She offered to kick a guy's ass for parking in my space. I tried to keep her very happy and satisfied!

But back to the subject:

The Olympic coverage to me has been a little boring, although you have to love those cheating Chinese. Maybe we should allow participants to "question" all judges decisions by kicking them in some painful area? Or the fourth place finisher could get his/her ass kicked by the medal winners? You know, something to liven up the games.
