According to the New York Times, Barack Obama has all but finalized his choice for a running mate and set an elaborate roll-out plan for his decision, beginning with an early morning alert to supporters, perhaps as soon as Wednesday.

I'm hoping he's chosen Evan Bayh.

I am NOT registering with the NYT in order to read the article.

Boy will the Dems be surprised to see the reverend Jesse Jackson as V.P, hymie town will never be the same. The only bad news is before Jesse can accept he has to go back and dig up the N word as he is still using it.

Doesn't matter - after getting his ass kicked at Saddleback, Obama has an uphill battle from here - never good to sprint at the beginning of a marathon and then fade as the steady runner glides past you. McCain is now going to take this race and the Dems are going to be devasted at another bungled election. Should have picked Hil, my friends - you were all trying to be to clever and look what is happening...

Not,
I'll give you the same opportunity I gave 101. $20 to your favorite charity if McCain wins. Or you send $20 to my favorite charity if Obama wins...what say you?

I'll throw $100 on the same side as Evilpolock on that bet. Same conditions.

If I were him, I'd pick an even darker skinned guy who is legitimately a communist Muslim. But admitedly, I would be doing so only to deter would be assassins.

I was thinking the other day that had Obama picked Clinton, that choice might stave of attempts to get rid of him..... politically or otherwise.

"I was thinking the other day that had Obama picked Clinton, that choice might stave of attempts to get rid of him..... politically or otherwise."

Are you kidding? If Obama DOES pick Clinton, do you really think he'd survive long in office? If he takes Clinton he'd be very wise to hire a food taster.

Has anyone heard if Bloomberg is still in the mix?

Otherwise it's Bayh or Kaine.

Biden--an affable guy, but brings some baggage.

-food taster.

The VRWC lives on. Tottering and near blind with paranoia, but still kicking.

Bayh is a quality person and politician, but he reinforces the perceived "aloofness" of Obama.

Moreover, Bayh not only voted for the war in Iraq, but later served with McCain on a committee to support it.

How hypocritical would it be to pick someone with that record after castigating Clinton for a lesser offence?

Of course Bayh isn't married to Bubba. As I pointed out on your other thread, Corky, I think he had a lot to do with her not being named as veep.

OBAMA/BIGFOOT '08

Well, Bigfoot WAS against the war......

I doubt it's going to be Clinton, but who ever it is, the choice is going to be underwhelming. The potential dem pool is just that shallow.

Too bad he can't just run on his own.

That's really the point. Who pray tell, would make big exciting news as the choice?

None of the above.

'Cept Clinton.

Rogue, what do you have against the Times?

Is it the whole AP douchebaggery?

Too bad he can't just run on his own.

Obama/Ghost of Obama '08.

Ghost of Obama

AKA "The Holy Spirit" in some circles.

Well--Biden voted for the war as well.

www.senate.gov

Frankly Obama should go outside DC for his VP.

HC brings up a good point on the depth of the Dem bench.

So we got two out of three for the trinity, what's the third? Is Obama the father or the son?

But we're not talking deification language, of course, LOL.

I'm really supporting Obama/Oprah '08!

Not only is there a certain ring to it, but just think of all the free cars!

Why not just nominate his wife? The only thing the fanatics love more than Obama, is more Obama. How pumped would these douchebags be about slapping an "OBAMA/OBAMA 08" sticker on their Prius?

Are you sure you didn't mean "OBAMA/OBAMABABYMAMA" '08?

Michelle/Barrack 08?

I saw God driving down the road yesterday and he had an "Obama is my co-pilot" bumper sticker.

"OBAMA/OBAMABABYMAMA" '08?

How about : Hussein/Mrs.Hussein

Way to step on the fun, jeff.

Gov Kathleen Sebelius (Kansas)

Would Clinton/women supports be more accepting of Obama?

Libssuck, proud of his last dump-a-thon, engages in another.

Why doesn't he quit playing the press with silly guessing games and just man up and make an announcement.

Biden has 2 more days of etiquette school.

That's really the point. Who pray tell, would make big exciting news as the choice?

None of the above.

'Cept Clinton.

Corky, corky corky. You are Hillary, aren't you? That can be the only explanation.

Well, hillary, I don't need to tell you that you suck. Corky is ok, though. A little single minded but ok.

Woudl you care to argue that my comment is not accurate?

No, eh?

Jealousy of those with even a single mind is to be expected from those with no mind at all.

How about OBAMA/OSAMA ?

How about OBAMA/OSAMA ?

Posted by BADAOPHAY

Can't do...Osama is part of the Bush administartion..at least all of his relatives are.

Could be if Obama waits until Saturday to announce it could be Clinton or Wes Clark (who's from Illinois).

How hypocritical would it be to pick someone with that record after castigating Clinton for a lesser offence?

Corky thinks politics is about honor, prestige and truth.

How cute!

Clinton or Wes Clark (who's from Illinois).

God help him if it is. There are so many reasons why either would be the wrong choice.

Time will tell.....

The usual rightards are out in force here again trying to paint Obama as some 'Messiah of the left' just because they despise their own candidate.

COMMON

When the GOP has nothing positive to show for 8 years - 6 of which were total control - they can only resort to juvenile rhetoric.

Wes Clark. Please, please let it be Wes.

This is quite a quandary. Whoever Obama selects will have to be greener than himself. Otherwise, it will make him seem even less qualified to be President.
