I wonder if that 2 million is verifiable? The reason I ask is that a few weeks ago I sent an e-mail thru Congress Dot Org to my state's U.S. Congress Rep and Senators as well as President Bush stating my support for McCain's suggested oil policy over 0bama's. The next day I got an e-mail from 0bama's campaign thanking me for supporting his position. Sounds to me like they're deluding themselves - crap even Mr. Talk-A-Lot-But-Do-Nothing-Of-

Wouldn't it be at least worth a look to limit voting to folks who have made a recorded contribution to a candidate? Yeah, it's far-fetched . The Seven Sacred Sputterers of the Far Right who systematically attack my suggestions will rise in righteous indignation.

Kind of like a poll tax? Why would the right be against this? Seems to me it is the left who would have troule with your ridiculous suggestion. Hell they don't even want voters to present and ID. Crispy likens my suggestion to a poll tax. Furthest thing from it. But a number of (dis)organized groups to which I belong define members as anyone who ever made a recorded contribution. It strikes me that limiting the ballot to those who give enough of a damn about it all to give at least a buck to those they favor is worth at least a look. It might even eliminate those developmentally challenged persons who believe the moose-lim radical bullshit. herm
