Obamas said that his two daughters should not be given preferential treatment, owing to their relatively privileged upbringing, and has called for government to craft-- a policy in such a way where some of our children who are advantaged aren't getting more favorable treatment than a poor white kid who has struggled more.--

Nothing specific Rogue that would actuate his statement, which is convenient politically for the nonce. What has he done in the past in the name of "equality?" He has been a continuous advocate of preference for blacks. He has been a continuous supporter of a variety of black preference programs - in college admissions, in setasides of government contracts, in employment. He is consistent and unashamed in his advocacy.
And he advocates "reparations." The 200,000 Northerners who perished, the decades of welfare programs, and preferences, and the opportunity to live in this country rather than some benighted backwater, are not enough?
There is certainly divisiveness in distributing additional benefits to people - in the form of an obvious cash payment, none of whom have suffered under slavery, and many of whom have ancestors that were not here during the period of slavery. And Obama and others similarly situated, who have no connection to slavery except as a descendant of a slaveholder, would benefit at the expense of the white population. Gadzooks!
Obama does exhibit constancy in what he does, Rogue.
Were Barack and Micelle themselves beneficiaries of black preference programs? He certainy is a beneficiary of black solidarity, which sets an example for us all.
