There actually was one funny part to the video. After the guy went down, about a half dozen well orchestrated little chinese girls with screens came and positioned themselves around the guy to hide him from the audience.

I don't know why, but it struck me as funny. Maybe the fact they actually practice something like that (which they obviously had) was what made it so funny.

Passing off 12 and 14 year olds as 16 year old female gymnasts was quite a feat too.

Another funny part was the announcers' commentary. Aside from the fact they had the wrong arm, they seemed very dispassionate - almost like they were observing decades' old footage and commenting.

Goatman, I agree that that part was pretty awkward and funny. It made me wonder if all Olympic venues practice such a thing, or if it is just a China thing. Seems like a drop curtain or a signal to the cameras would be a lot more appropriate.
