So Michelle takes the stage prime time on Monday.

Hillary takes the stage on Tuesday.

FTA: Senator Hillary Clinton, who is a champion for working families and one of the most effective and empathetic voices in the country today, will be the headline prime-time speaker on Tuesday August 26th,-- the statement said.

Hillary, with that speech, has a chance to either help heal the rifts that have arisen within the Dem party during this campaign process or go down in history as one of the most self agrandising power mad pols in recent memory by playing into the divisive Hillis44 crowd's wet dream of a floor nom attempt.

Spud wonders wot she'll chose.

Be Well.

Michelle and Hillary -- the deadly duo
Watch the fireworks fly.

I hate to disappoint you, but there will be no mud pit.

Same sort of twittishly paranoid asinity that permeated the pants-pissery before she made one of the most gracious consession speeches ever.

Some cellar-dwelling starchy foods never learn.

That's cool.

Jello will do just as well if not better.

Be Well.

Twere a good speech.

Spud heard it.

Spud's also heard that Hillary is thinking of having a "symbolic" floor nomination at the convention.

Spud'll start trusting Hillary a lot more once Barack gets sworn in.

Spud's funny like that.

Momma sed Barack You Out!

G08ama.

Be Well.

If Spud ever quits shakin' in his wee booties over what Hillary might do, Spud might be able to close all those bloodshot, cryin' eyes.

Im a bitch, Im a bitch
Oh the bitch is back
Stone cold sober as a matter of fact
I can bitch, I can bitch
`cause Im better than you

Nothing against Michelle Obama but I really don't see why she should be speaking at the convention. The slot she will fill should be an up and coming young Democrat like Clinton and Obama both were when they gave the keynote addresses.

Maybe that is what she is.

I am sure there will not be any overt rivalry but why should there be - Obama has shown himself to be weak in the face of the Clinton manipulation of the convention. He is sliding in the polls, unsure of himself and Hillary is now nicely positioning herself as the savior of the party in the wake of a devastating defeat when everything seemed to be going Obama's way - that is of course until the veneer started to wear off and we were presented with another ambitious politician with no real core beliefs other than celebrity and power.

It will probably be quite a boring convention but the subtext will be interesting.

NOTMORETAX----FARMER JOHN?

"He's (Obama) unsure of himself...."

Must be an expert in body language, or something.

I wonder if Michelle will give her whitey speech?

"It will probably be quite a boring convention but the subtext will be interesting."

As opposed to the Republicans which will seem like a wake.

"I wonder if Michelle will give her whitey speech...."

Last night I was on an anti-Obama blog reading his supporters earnestly assert Obama's mother was not white. I kid you not. Strange, rabid people.

Well ZED - strange Koolaid drinking people are missing the point of what has happened here - the Clintons forced themselves on the convention proving that Obama is weak and that is all they needed to prove.

finding a constructive way for Mrs. Clintons seriously aggrieved loyalists to channel their anger and disappointment could wind up being the path of less destruction for Mr. Obamas campaign. Plus, its the right thing to do.

You dont have to be a die-hard Clintonite, or even much of a feminist, to be moved by the significance of her presidential campaign. In 1972, the Democratic presidential candidate Shirley Chisholm made history by having her 151.95 delegates entered into the convention record. Mrs. Clinton amassed more than 10 times that number. Her achievement deserves an official salute.

Seems to me the real question is whether Obama and his supporters have enough class to make the right choice.

His mother wasn't white..OMG!!! That would mean Barrack is 100% black!!!! America isn't ready for a 100% black president, 50% is about all we can handle right now. Perhaps someday in the future.

So far paranoia has overruled class.

Looking forward to the day when Corky and Hillary go back to the senate and STFU.

Ah, the outrage of the flustered. I guess that is what is left when there is no reasonable retort.

Try this.....

maybe it will help.

I agree. I'm sick of hearing about or from politicians' spouses.

Me, too. How about Dennis Kucinich takes her place?

Probably lead to a great catfight between Michelle and tongue pierced Brit, Elizabeth the Red Giant.

"Me, too. How about Dennis Kucinich takes her place?"

I'd second that motion. Only problem is once Dennis spoke we'd all realize he is the best qualified to be president. I like Obama but I like Dennis more.

Kucinich for VP!!!

Agreed, Danni. I always like Dennis the K's policies better than the rest.

Too bad America is still so anti-munchkin.

Munchkin will never ever be sitting in the white house, unless he is asked to cater a dinner or something.

Actually Ron Paul is probably best qualified, which means he will never be voted in. His policy positions doesn't leave any room for cronyism or corporate whoredom, which is rampant under both the republican and democrats.

"Actually Ron Paul is probably best qualified"

too bad he is crazy as hell.

Looks like a double scoop of Bitch! That oughta' work!

Ron Paul is another who suffered from anti-munchkin hysteric in the US.

Kindly substitute "Hillary" for "Obama" above and "her" for "his" if you want to make any sense and any progress in this country.

OK-'08!

"keynote speaker Michele Obama"

think I'll sit this one out.

"keynote speaker Michele Obama"

That's because a phony piece of crap named Edwards seems to have run into some touble. We'd heard of this back in December, but now CNN is finally getting ahold of it. And it seems that all his old friends, and all the other Dems now don't want poor ol' double-dipper around.

Yes, the wide stance in a men's stall is a heinous act. Siring another Democrat bastard while running for president? Priceless!

Theo Nebs doesn't offer proof - he just pops off the same tired lines repeatedly and believes himself to be clever. Poor Theo.

Monday and Tuesday eh? I better clear my schedule I don't want to miss either of those two visionaries historical speeches. Oh heck I can't I have to clean the cat's litter box that Monday and brush the ferret's teeth on Tuesday. Darn and I really didn't want to miss such noteworthy events which shall surely rival the first time my dog let me know he needed to take a "walk" after 3 weeks of potty training....nah on second thought they probably won't.

that is a "dream team."
