This is supposed to be a bunch of people with greater-than-average interest in politics, and yet there's little interest in a alleged piece of evidence that, if proved to exist, would be a hundred times more damning than the evidence that drove Nixon from office. But the Repubs know that a good old-fashioned extramarital affair trumps the Constitution, every time, which is probably why you've learned of Edwards' didoes at exactly the same time Suskind is working to substantiate his book's claims.

The Roman Empire was said to be run on "bread and circuses." The GOP has freshened things up a little - they've ramped up the circuses, and cut out the bread.

Maybe when one or two of them takes the story seriously, I will too. But a witness who prefers to remain anonymous quoting two others who were supposedly there who saw a document that everyone else denies having seen, signed by the Vice President on White House stationery that nobody can now find, isn't going to get a lot of traction until somebody outside of Raw.com publishes the story. You know--does some actual journalism.

Funny ~ my new citzen long time friend who works at the Minneapolis Airport as one the inspectors of your luggage when you come to town to heil Reichmeisher Chenney in St Paul's Cathedral? received a really nice letter back from Karl Rove earlier today.

It seems that my friend wrote the WH to Karl after meeting him awhile back when he was pasting thru to go to Rochester, Mn while at work at the airport.

& them WH people kindly then fwd the letter to Rove since he don't work there no more (surprise!) & Karl definitely remembered the new citzen well & like his poetry so much that he wrote back a wonderful letter!

Why are we reading about this in some magazine? These are serious allegations and, if they are true, then all persons involved should be presenting testimony under oath.
