Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl," the No. 1 song on Billboard's chart the last six weeks, is encouraging an entire generation of girls to experiment with lesbianism, according to Johnnie Moore of the Christian news site OneNewsNow: "It is ... the next episode in the never-ending media agenda to make homosexual experimentation a kind of adolescent right of passage," he warns.

It is, in fact, the next episode in the never-ending media agenda to make homosexual experimentation a kind of adolescent right of passage.

...and yet planet earth continues to revolve around the sun.

encouraging an entire generation of girls to experiment with lesbianism,

And the problem is..?

It is ... the next episode in the never-ending media agenda to make generic uninspired crap-art a kind of adolescent right of passage.

And I'll say it again, just like last time something was posted about this song, I'd rather see Jill Sobule, the original "I Kissed a Girl" girl, kissing girls than Katy Perry.

We want the friggin' video proof!

generic uninspired crap-art a kind of adolescent right of passage.

As you point out, this was inevitable.

But...more lesbians on the planet? Somehow I'll manage to survive. : )

"But...more lesbians on the planet? Somehow I'll manage to survive. : )"

Especially if they like bisexual threesomes.

I'm content to watch, quite frankly. Is that TMI?

lol

During high school in 1978 the school was abuzz for several days because two girls, both from rigidly fundamentalist Christian families, were found hugging and yes, kissing in the choir room. Their friends tried to explain it away, but the bottom line was they were kissing. This sort of experimentation the article is railing against is nothing new.

* You're right about everything except one thing. The only other time that homosexuality was this prevalent and accepted was in the days of Noah, right before the Flood. And Jesus said it would be this way right before He returns. This is no coincidence. But it's very distressing to see this happen. This young woman will pay dearly in eternity for corrupting our youth after once knowing the Lord. SHAME on her, and shame on those that condone this brainwashing of our children into an unhealthy lifestyle.

What a fun site. Thanks, RCADE.

SWEET..............

Stupid article. When you're naturally attacted to guys no stupid pop song is going to make a woman suddenly have a desire to mess around with another woman. I think this song was written more to appeal to male fantasies than anything else. How much do you want to bet waaaay more guys download and play this song than women. Sorry to burst your fantasy bubble, boys.

So no pics then? Shit...

promoting lesbianism? Really? Some folks think Katy Perry is making fun of or mocking gays.

Maybe you haven't heard her previous song titled: 'he's so gay'

The original "I Kissed a Girl" song from the mid-90s wasn't bad. I heard Katy Perry's once. I more than wouldn't mind never hearing it again.

More religious bullshit. Apparently-they never get tired of looking so stupid......

This song is just good clean girl-on-girl fun.

But if one of those little Jonas bastards starts crooning about smooching his pals, watch out!

But Larry Craig is a surprisingly good singer.

I've fantasized about getting two lesbians in bed at the same time. I haven't been able to achieve that dream yet, but I did get two heterosexual women in bed once a long time ago. I even had them masturbate while they were waiting. I thought I was dreaming, but I ROSE to the challenge!

Funloving Wild Thom

I wonder how many Neo Cons have ever kissed a girl; three?

Plenty - I think they find them on craig's list, or something like that lol

FW-your mother and a rubber doll don't count

... but I did get two heterosexual women in bed once...

Weary with toil I haste me to my bed,
The dear repose for limbs with travel tired;
But then begins a journey in my head
To work my mind when body's work's expired;

Shakespeare then continues with a love song to his real lady -- or man, no one's quite sure.

Conversely FWT's journey in his head works part of his body when his mind's expired.

Do people really believe somebody will "turn gay" due to a song? Are people that stupid? Do they think if Larry Craig sang "I kissed a dude" men would "turn gay" too?

Poor Kate Perry.. to the left shes denigrating homosexuals..and to the right shes promoting them...

To the sane she's singing a cheesy pop song

You're all missing the point! Clearly, this song is going to turn all women into lesbians, at which point normal heterosexual relationships will cease to exist! Without women to mate with, men will eventually die out, and the final generation of humankind will be lesbians!

It'll be like Children of Men. But with fewer explosions and more lesbians.

Isn't that song at least 15 years old?

Nobody kisses Republicans.

Hey, I used to be a republican and I got kissed plenty. Hmmm, now that i think about it, it was all by guys with suits. Doh!!!!

Hey, I used to be a republican

I once told some friends I was thinking of voting for Reagan.

Luckily, they staged an intervention. Pussy and pot brought me back around.

The writer of this article sure has it backwards.

Anyone actually been paying attention to teenage culture? This song is a reflection of the "pretendbian chic" thing that's going on. Nothing to see here folks, it's just music reflecting what's currently trendy.

TaTU was just too early to jump on the boat; got outed as pretendbians before it was popular. (Tee hee! Lookit us boys, we're LESBIANS!! Tee hee! You're not gonna get us!) Here's a tip guys: Lesbians don't wear schoolgirl dresses or teeny pleated skirts. You seen the video for this? She's not a lesbian now any more then she was a hardcore Christian earlier. She's just trying to capitalize on what will make her the most money. And, right now, this is the road to go.

You want you some real lesbian music? Real lesbians don't feel the need to slut around for the camera. (And the music is better, to boot!)

BONUS RANT!

Double whammy hilarity, from her "official profile" "Perry found a Queen album with her friend, "and the heavens opened and saved me. From then on, they have been my biggest influence"". Queen? Girl, you've got your references all messed up, lol. Queen is downrgiht _ESSENTIAL_, but I never heard of them expanding anyone's horizons into making gay music. What did she do, pop "gay musicians" into Google and take the third result that came up 3 minutes before the interview? Try at least going obscure, like Alphaville.

(Who also make better music then her!)

Gayest band ever fronted by a straight guy, and totally kickass!

Much cooler video in this vein I would say

Ummm, pretty much THIS!

"They can have their diamonds and we'll have our pearls" beats the hell out of "the taste of her cherry Chapstick" anyday.

Poor Kate Perry.. to the left shes denigrating homosexuals..and to the right shes promoting them...

To the sane she's singing a cheesy pop song

~Gustogus

Can't fergit THIS either!

"Hope my boyfriend don't mind it"?

S'rsly? Puh-leaZe.

Bottom line? Anything that makes rethuglicans, religious zealots and homophobes start jumping up and down, foaming at the mouth and screaming at the top of their lungs is pretty much by definition a good thing.

Fark them biatches.

Be Well.

It's not an "experiment" unless you're wearing a lab coat...

"...make homosexual experimentation a kind of adolescent right of passage."

Ha ha! Wrong again!

Nobody is trying to do that.

They're trying to make it a rite of passage. The word is rite, as in ritual. You'd think a rite winger would know that.

I mean right. You'd think a right winger would know that.

I think all this Katy Perry talk has everybody confused!

So what - freedom of speech. There are many love songs about love between a man and a woman; just "Let It Be":)

It ain't like kids haven't been experimenting since the beginning of human history. But once again these nut-sack corn-fed christians are getting their cum-soaked panties in a bunch. All the while their Men-Folk drop on bended knees to worship a nearly-naked man with six-pack Abs.

"...You're right about everything except one thing. The only other time that homosexuality was this prevalent and accepted was in the days of Noah, right before the Flood...Posted by BetelG

Did Noah leave a link on his website to this info. Otherwise it's simply nonsense.

This song was only done for shock value.

Look at how any of us are talking about some hack musician because of the lyrics. I've never heard the song and yet I now the name of the artist. It's all carefully crafted for free publicity, nothing more.
