According to ESPN, The Jets and Bucs are interested in him.

The Jets just got permission to talk to him.

"There are indications that Favre still wants to play for the Packers and will accept whatever role he's given when training camp opens. He's confident that he'll be able to outperform Rodgers and force them to play him.

But it's also possible that Cook is spreading the word that Favre wants to play for the Packers to scare the club into thinking that it's going to have to deal with him in training camp and all the things that go with it. Even before Favre made his intentions known, around 50 national media members were expected at the first day of camp. You can triple that if Favre shows up.

Favre and Cook may think that's the best way to get the Packers to release or trade Favre. Certainly, the ball is rolling on trade talks because the Packers don't want the scenario in which training camp becomes a circus. But they are telling people they are prepared to take Favre back if that's what it comes down to. Whether that's the case, is something only time will tell"

I hope he comes back and sucks ass.

What's a good over/under line on Brett's INTs if he goes to the AFC?

I'm thinkin' 24.

Gotta pad them stats ya know, 288 and counting.

This is not good for Brett nor the Packers in this saga...

Agreed mike.

Brett one of the greatest QB's of the last 50 years. Sure he throws a ton of INT's...but he is a true athlete...doing what it takes to win. He is also an all -around nice guy.

It is very sad to see his time with green bay end like this.

My personal opinion is he gets traded to the Vikings. No way he can play for the Pack now. Seems to be too much bad blood and the move wouldn;t be great for the pack. They need to invest in their QB of the future, and Favre is only the past for them.

I'm a Giants fan but I hope this works out. Jet fans are the most optimistic people on the planet (until week 3 or so that is). Any little pre-season move they make is going to change them from a 6-10 disaster to Super Bowl champs. It is like they fall for the same gag year after year. But its nice to see them happy for the few weeks before the season starts.

Not if the Packers have any say - and it seems they will. Inside the division is not an option. No way the Packers want to play him twice next year.

Though it is that drive that makes them great, champions should learn how to call it quits before this happens to them:

"Given the Giants success last year I suspect there's added pressure on the Jets to field a winner."

Plus, they want to announce their own version of the Giants' "Fuck You Fans" seat licensing program. Kind of hard to get people to pay $20K just for the right to buy tickets when you're a six win team.

trade him to detroit! lol

Oh boy. Whooopeee.

If he's reporting; he ain't retired!!!

Please say it ain't so!

Go away Brett, and stop having annual retirement ceremonies.

I will be at the first preseason game in August, this could be fun to see who plays most of the came as the quarterback, which usually is the backup.
