Describing him as "an elitist" is counter productive. The left particularly, wants elitists, people on whom they project capabilities and who they believe can solve what are presented as "the problems du jour."
The strategy needs to focus on Obama as a druggie with flashbacks, who can't be entrusted with the fate of the nation.
Obama as a street thug, a community organizer and shakedown artist.
Obama as a hate-monger, hate America, hate whites, hate Jews figure shaped by his lowlife mentors, Rev. Wright, Minister Farrakhan of the Nation of Islam, and ideological associates, domestic terrorist Ayers, Father Pfluger, etc.
Obama as a corrupt politician paid off for misusing taxpayers' money with money for his own personal use, Revko and the property, and unjust enrichment with his wife receiving raises with his election.
Obama and his wife as black preference advocates - forever.
And don't forget ... Oh well, enough for now.
Obama as "another," a black shaped by different experiences than "mainstream America."
None of these attributes is qualifying.
The mathematical applications also fit the stock market and other areas. Fascinating. Phase transitions and flocking.

In the meantime, Obama's ads to the Latino community will emphasize his status as "son of a immigrant," which may resonate with them. Although the "mayate" factor, which is probably stronger than the Bradley Effect, may create problems for Obama. But his folks are addressing the problem proactively, and the pre-emptive action may minimize losses.
