Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

As Barack Obama spoke in Berlin today, John McCain had a lunch meeting with small business leaders at a German restaurant in Columbus, Ohio. "I'd love to give a speech in Germany. But I'd much prefer to do it as president of the United States rather than as a candidate for president," McCain told reporters after a meal of bratwurst.

.....he was there for the seniors' early bird special......

Is that a Bratwurst in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?

"My friends, if I had only been a little older I could've been bombing Krauts instead of Slopes"

- JJ McAlzheimers.

But I hear that he is looking forward to meeting with the Kaiser soon.

Have the schnitzel, John, the kraut will give you gas.

Besides loving to eat sauerkraut anyway, blowing gas just adds to my fondness of it.

nine hours. half a dozen comments.

I heard he had some fudge, too. Maybe that would get folks excited about McCain.

Who doesn't like fudge?

"But I'd much prefer to do it as president of the United States"

But since you'll never be president of the United States.....

On Schmidt's website the menu looks, well, pretty atrocious. However, the waitress pictured has a nice set of knockers. www.schmidthaus.com

You betcha, Oohrah.

Would they look like this: www.crazyshit.com?

It'd be a hoot!

Funny shit.

German Village in Columbus is an AWESOME area. I've eaten at Schmidts--it is a pretty famous place around town--especially their homemade brats and creampuffs. I found it to be a little too greasy and made me feel gross for the rest of the day.

Regardless, McCain sucks.

**** Regardless, McCain sucks.
osted by __b__ *****

.......and after the saurkraut he will blow also....

.....so who says you cant suck and blow at the same time......

Obamalama speaks in Germany to 200,000 screaming fans, McCain speaks at a German restaurant (in oh-fucking-hio) to 2-3 disinterested patrons.

"Ich bin ein Columbuser."

Sad part for John is, ow, thanks to his egging Obama to go to Iraq and Europe, Mcsame has set the success bar so high, he'll only look like a failure if he goes himself. Even 20000 germans showing up (and he couldn't draw that if he were pimping Cindi out) would look pathetic and unless maliki were to announce a supporting a joint invasion of Iranistan, he's toast there too.

He could at least equal interest in Obama in Israel by using Cindi'd jet to "crop dust" the Palestinian areas with Zyklon B.

I wonder how many of thoes Germans in Berlin will vote for the ears. I'll bet that is what is going to clinch the election.

Snipie is jealous, Snipie is jealous, Nyanyanyanyaaaana.

Who was the idiot who dared Obama to go to see the world?

Obama would draw more to hear him in a fuckin coal mint than McAint would in the Grand ball room of Trump tower serving steak and Dom.

How long till the Repubs pull the rug out from under McSame and replace him with some other republican who is willing to lose?

Why would they dump him for another lib who is willing to go down in flames? Are you stupid?

Our choice is a lib with big ears or an old man who likes libs. What a fucking choice.

comes after the RNC launched several advertisements in towns named Berlin.Where soe guynamed Al Mackie would announce he wants American troops in wherever the hell it was for another hundred years.

Old: I've been pondering why the Obamaites haven't been hammering Mcsame over his increasingly bizarre geographical announcements and he Bush/Iraq acceptance of his time table. I'm beginning to wonder if they are just holding back to ensure they don't wound Mcsame so badly that he gets turfed before the Convention.

......yeah......but......

...its a lib with big ears who is already restoring the confidence of the world in America, and he isn't even in office.....

....a lib whose three foreign policy positions are being implemented by the current administration, as if they were already taking orders from him, on the 16 month withdrawal, negotiate with Iran, more brigades to Afghanistan......

.......you may not agree with all his positions but he's going to be the best president this country has had since WW 2............

......so quit griping and get behind him........

To me, this is the most impressive single thing about obama. he always takes the philosophical high road. Mcstupid whines and carps about every little detail and obama doesn't throw it back and it makes mccain look like the idiot he is.

Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt, no?

'i was for the tour before i was opposed to the tour."
John Mcsame.

But the GOPPer "berlin' thing reaks of desperation.
I wonder if McSame got in touch with his Gaellic roots by visiting O'Berlin while he was in Ohio, telling them to move to Colombia to find work?

Johnnyboy may want to pick up an order of freedom fries:

Only one venue was on Obama's Paris schedule the presidential Elysee Palace. President Nicolas Sarkozy greeted Obama as the 46-year-old senator stepped from his car and, after a round of posing for photos, the two disappeared inside the building. A joint news conference was scheduled immediately following their meeting.

Sarkozy, a conservative, had rushed back from a summit in southwestern France to host Obama.

Although Sarkozy and Obama are on different sides of the political fence, the French leader seems to have a soft spot for the U.S. senator.

"Obama? He's my buddy," Le Figaro quoted the president as saying before Obama's arrival. "I am the only Frenchman who knows him."

Sarkozy, elected in 2007, first met Obama in 2006 while a candidate for the French presidency.

Sarkozy offered considerably less to Obama's Republican rival, John McCain during a March visit to Paris. After 45 minutes of talks, McCain was left on his own, fielding questions from reporters in the courtyard of the Elysee.

And how.

That site says "A woman wearing a dirndl has been likened to a Scotsman wearing a kilt."

I beg to differ. They look nothing like big, hairy-legged Scotsmen running around with their balls fanning the breeze.

Schmidts is a great resturant. Too bad Monst wont be going there anymore now.

Monst doesnt do Oberwies dairy products either!

Isn't that a tactic that con artists use? Perhaps smoke and mirrors, but I really hope not. I dream about a world where the US dollar is respected as are its people. I'd be cautious, though.

"Isn't that a tactic that con artists use? Perhaps smoke and mirrors, but I really hope not. I dream about a world where the US dollar is respected as are its people. I'd be cautious, though."

Maybe SOME are starting to see through it.

"NBC's Andrea Mitchell understands very well that this contrived image management is powerfully all to Obama's political advantage. He's shameless when it comes to managing his own image. "Politically it's as smart as can be," she conceded before noting the big obvious truth nobody else in the media was bothering to expose: "We've not seen a presidential candidate do this, in my recollection, ever before."

The whole Obama campaign is something we've never seen before -- at least not executed to this level of perfection with a media willing to go along because, well, so many of them want it to succeed.....

McCain's approach is all so, well, cognitive. McCain thinks that reality is something that really exists, that has to be dealt with, instead of recognizing that we live in a Brave New World where highly paid symbolic analysts construct reality by manipulating symbols.

The left imagines they learned this from Ronald Reagan and the rise of the right: big strong guy, genial, looks good on camera -- bingo! Maybe you can't fool all the people all the time, but you can fool 51 percent every time, with the right branding and the right kind of images.

God help us when the people who think like that actually run all three branches of our government.

President Obama, if that's our future, and his team of symbolic analysts will find out soon enough there are realities out there which none of his contrivances are going to be able to help him handle."

"McCain Speaks At German Restaurant"

In his best German accent McCain sang his song for the audience:

"Bombe, bombe, bombe Iran

Later he went to a Taco Bell to promote free trade with Mexico. Drove there in Cindi's Benz.

......if it is, then Rice, Bush and Patreus are going along with him........

.....note the negotiations with Iran, the withdrawal timetable (or horizon), and the redeployment to Afghanistan..........McCain dumped on Obama when Obama proposed these....but frankly, they make so much sense that Rice, Bush and Patreus are following Obama's lead......

....if it is, then Rice, Bush and Patreus are going along with him...

I never suggested anything to the contrary. In fact, we could probably count on one of our hands the people in DC who aren't con artists. Obama is correct in saying we need change, but just because he's the lesser of two evils (currently) doesn't necessarily mean the change we need is him as Pres.

.......sadly.......

....he is so far behind on the issues that he seems positively senile......

.....he had his feet cut out from under him on the timetable by both Bush and Maliki......
.....he was still calling for no negotiations with Iran when Rice decided to send a negotiator......
.......and he thought that Afghanistan was just fine until Patreus upended McCains policy by agreeing with Obama and calling for a beefed up deployment........

....if this is a cognitive struggle...then McCain has been left behind by even the Republican administration of dunderheads.......

**** but just because he's the lesser of two evils (currently) doesn't necessarily mean the change we need is him as Pres.
