Damn librul judges.

Yeah. They ought to try these terrorists while they're on a rack and screw with the interrogators holding hot pokers to help secure truthful testimony from the accused.

They should not be entitled to counsel.

Or maybe we should use the old pre-colonial method. Throw them in the water tied to a stone. If they float, they are witches (or terrorists) and are to be dispatched, if they sink and drown, they are innocent.

Why do we indulge in this mindless ritual?

Shhhh don't tell the frighty rightys, they still beleive that torture is an acceptable measure of interrogation.

This ruling ought to bitchslap their pants pissing asses.

"Why do we indulge in this mindless ritual"

Maybe it has something to do with only about 8% of those who have been held at Gitmo have been shown to have ties to terrorism.

But hey, no sense in letting that stand in the way of the executioner.

It's their own fault for being in the wrong place at the wrong time or for allowing themselves to be snatched by someone who was turning anyone and everyone they could grab in for the bounties we were offering.

Oh well... here is how this story begins:

The judge in the military trial against Salim Ahmed Hamdan, Osama bin Laden's driver

Case closed, lock him up.

Fuck 'em, they're just gooks.

This is great news there is still hope for us yet.

Now if we could only do something about the Robs and Johnsons of the world.......

"There once was a pris'ner in Gitmo, Who didn't talk and got hit mo'. When charges were pressed, the judge was distressed, and said torturers were full of shiatmo"

Sed FARK

From now on any Taxi Driver that picks up an undesirable, shall be jailed. If they took money they shall be hanged.

the judge will be replaced, just like in saddam's trial, with one who understands that what happened to Hamdan wasn't torture at all.... according to Bush's definition 2.0.

This just proves it;

We tortured because we enjoyed it.

Holy shit.

He drove a car. I can't find a better person to torture to find out if Osama rode with his seatbelt on, or preferred the windows down to the air conditioning on.

Imagine if someone made a turkey sandwich for OBL...Rob would support torturing their children to find out if OBL prefers mustard or mayo. Perhaps some crushing of children's testicles in front of their parents, like John Yoo has suggested as acceptable behavior.

Yep.

Yeah, we enjoy it. We do it all the time. In fact, we torture everyone. There isn't a prisoner alive that we haven't tortured.

Perspective and the Left will never, ever meet.

HAGBARD

I wish you wouldn't use the word "we."

George Bush tortured because George Bush enjoyed it.

It's the grown up version of his youth when he tortured small animals. And I use the words 'grown up' loosely.

Are we going to start a pool on how long it takes this judge to be replaced?

I wish you wouldn't use the word "we."

I was only quoting Lipz further up thread, but WE didn't storm the bastille to be sure this didn't happen. We may have bitched and moaned on the retort, gone to a few token protests, written our congresspersons, but we did not sacrifice our creature comforts in any way shape or form.

So I guess I wish I didn't have to use the word We

Why would torture pods be full of peas? Wouldn't that be a pea-pod?

In fact, we torture everyone. There isn't a prisoner alive that we haven't tortured.

I'm sure, somewhere in the prison system is a convict who wsn't forced to watch Bush try and speak, 101.

Funny, rhough, a few weeks ago all the Fighty Righty bobbleheads were parrotting Bush's 'we don't do torture"line.

NG,

And you guys everytime Balack Obammy changes the clip in his glock...

Rob, that was pathetic.

Gross... doesn't he have somebody else change them for him?

No, sadly since the rise in fuel prices that had to be cut in order for Cindy to fly to her mailbox in her private plane.

As I get it, righties are outraged because basic rules of jurisprudence are heeded. Do I understand the order from On High: There shall be no acquittals? Where is the bogus paratrooper's blasting this jurist as a wimpy, cowardly commie faggot marxist trailor? herm

As I get it, righties are outraged because basic rules of jurisprudence are heeded.

For prisoners of war? What are they HERMIE?

"As I get it, righties are outraged because basic rules of jurisprudence are heeded. For prisoners of war? What are they HERMIE?"

Cidney, can you rephrase the question to make it coherent? herm

What are the basic rules of jurisprudence for prisoners of war HERMIE - there sorry for the confusion. By the way, who said no acquittals? Making up stuff again like the AIDS/hyperbole debacle?

The Geneva Convention covers the treatment of prisoners of war, Cidney. The question is irrelevant as YOUR president ruled that the poor bastards of Gitmo are NOT war prisoners.

Who said no acquittals? That Pentagon order was reported recently with plenty of press fanfare.

Cidney, you and Asshole Wobbie don't let go easily, do you? In trying to explain the Rev. Wright's background to you, I surely never implied that I endorsed the AIDS hyperbole. What's YOUR background, Cidney? Get out of elementary school, did ya? herm

Rejecting coercion is a cornerstone whose sole pupose is to stop the state from torturing, because everyone knows people under torture will confess to anything to get the torture to stop.

Sorry to bring up an old wound, but this is the whole thrust of all the rights listed in the constitution - to prevent the state from becoming a totalitarian establishment.

Of course if you want our government to become totalitarian, then the righties postion makes sense.......

Of course if you want our government to become totalitarian, then the righties postion makes sense.......

when Obama becomes president, the Right will denounce every extra power Bush claimed. They only want a fettered President when he's a Democrat.

"Of course if you want our government to become totalitarian, then the righties postion makes sense......."

This is completely false in its literal meaning. The left - right spectrum could also be parallelly described as the totalitarian - anarchy spectrum.

According to Rob those are just "minor freedoms" that people are relinquishing in the name of fake security.

There are now what 1 million names on the terrorist watch list. Does anyone really fucking believe that there are 1 million terrorists hell bent on destrying America?

The government is pissing down your back, telling you it is raining and you gladly hand over your umbrella to them.

Wake the fuck up.

Information has come out recently about the happenings at gitmo(www.glennbeck.com). Yes it is a link to Glenn Beck, but I have not seen this information anywhere else. I have been trying to get this out to as many people as possible.

Gitmo is the worst thing that America has EVER done in the history of our nation. Nothing can compare to the evilness that is practiced in this place. We are treating some of these prisoners as the jews were treated by nazi germany during the holocaust. It is obviously not on the same scale, but that does not make it any less wrong. I apologize to everyone who I may have defended this place. I was so wrong. I cried, and then cried some more, when I read about this. I cannot believe America would do these things. I'm tearing up just writing this and thinking about it. This is United Nations like behavior. I always believed America was above this.

I am a supporter of torture if the circumstance deems it necessary to save lives. Pre-emptive interrogation if you will (electroshock, streching, waterboarding, etc), but what is going on in gitmo is mutilation of people, it's not torture. If George Bush is fully aware and condoning the actions of the guards and those running gitmo, he needs to be impeached today (I am not going to charge him as guilty, but it needs to be investigated). This is something so gravely serious and cannot be ignored. I am so thankful that someone is working so diligently at exposing this vileness. Again, I apologize to the world for my ignorance to this place.

And to all the people who wanted this place closed down...you were right, you were so right.

Why do military judges hate America?

I surely never implied that I endorsed the AIDS hyperbole-HERMIE

Not saying you ever did HERMIE - the quote is continually brought up by myself to point out the glaring deficiency in your ability to recognize the racist diatribe emenating from REV WRONG -

QED:

"...that Jeremiah Wright understands the underlying principles of American race relations..."

In your defence of Husseing attending this bastards "church" for 20 years. Until you retract your endorsement of Wrongs understanding of race relations in America, I will continue to be a thorn in your side - I hope.

Hopefully in YAVADABBADO's side also.

The left - right spectrum could also be parallelly described as the totalitarian - anarchy spectrum.

Only in the extreme left and right, Pinkie.

The moromons have a concept (I am not a mormon but you have to admire some of their particular religious shit) that if a person is 49% bad and 51% good, do they go to heaven or hell? How do they get to go to heaven (49% bad) and how do they get sent to hell (51% good).

The whole black-white concrete way of thinking is the biggest intellectual problem that america has today.

Rob the asshole is probably a wonderful intellegent person when he's not torturing puppies, but even he has to exaggerate his position to make a point.

It's the same with politics (and why I like this site). the news media and the gubment (both corporate whores) want you to declare your loyalty to one extreme or the other, thereby being able to pigeon-hole you, and ultimately to tailor their lies based on your position.

Examples = you can't be a democrat and tough, you can't be a republican and intellectual, you can't be a Liberatarian and know anything at all about anything.

And the best one of all - We have to give up our constitutional freedoms in order to stop turrurism.

El Cidney wants to be a thorn in Da Libs' sides. Sort of like Pooper Wobbie, a "gadfly" crawling up an elephant's leg with the intention of raping the hell out of that sucka.

Cidney, I welcome your bleating as always. I look to it with relish; after I savor each monosyllabic utterance, I smugly ask myself (or those around me if there are any) "is this the best they have?"

Intellectually, Cidney, don't try to carry the Rev, Jeremiah Wright's oratorical handbook. I watched him for an hour on Moyers' show, and there's not much YOU can say against him. herm

I am pleased the Judge ruled this way. I thought it was a fifty-fifty chance he might allow in the statements. Even though the Government disagrees with the ruling, I think it is actually a blessing for them. It greatly reduces the chances that any conviction will be thrown out on appeal. Basically, if we are going to give jury trials to these people, those trials must adhere to traditional American standards of fairness. Even if that means they are fair in form, though not in substance.

and there's not much YOU can say against him. herm

I could make a living talking against him. "God damn America" is so intellectual. I did not know he had an oratorical handbook, or for that matter that he knew what oratorical meant. I am suprised you were able to come up with a word with more than four letters. Maybe you got it from your brick. In any case, I really feel sorry for you HERMIE. I don't really know the cause of your blindness/ignorance, but I hope for your cure.

According to Rob those are just "minor freedoms" that people are relinquishing in the name of fake security.

Hey you weren't around for that thread and conversation?

I love all the so called new posters here... sooner or later they always expose they had a previous login...

Rob the asshole is probably a wonderful intellegent person when he's not torturing puppies, but even he has to exaggerate his position to make a point.

Awww shucks...
