When police learned only money was taken and the donut supply was safe the investigation was called off due to lack of interest and an absence of any sense of urgency.

In Atlanta people joke that the only place that never gets robbed is the big Krispy Kreme on Ponce de Leon Avenue near downtown. And it is true, there are never less than several cop cars in that parking lot. This place has been called the Mother of all Krispy Kremes - it is constantly busy and their hot donut sign stays on most of the time. It is almost enough to make a person want to be a police officer.

I wonder which part of the robbery was worse, losing the money to the robber or losing the entire inventory to the cops.

Chief Wiggins is leading the investigation.

Yeah, right - y'all know they were pulling in the donut shop for a "routine stop" anyways!
