Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

In an interview with the Washington Times, McCain economic advisor Phil Gramm downplayed the economy -- despite it having been the top issue of concern to voters in public polling for months. Gramm called the economy a "mental recession," said that "we have sort of become a nation of whiners" and blames much of the hand-wringing on the media.

Another good quote from Obama: "America already has one Dr. Phil."

the McCain economic adviser (Phil Gramm) downplayed the economy -- despite it having been the top issue of concern to voters in public polling for months.

Terrific. Last week McCain wanted to trash (he called it "privatize) Social Security, and now the economic advisor for McFreetrade is calling everyone who lost their jobs to cheap overseas labor, are reeling from the high price of gas, and the current Bush-induced recession we're now in "a nation of whiners."

Kiss McCain and his campaign adios.

Riiiiight, McCain. Tell Americans when they look into their empty wallets and/or see their 401k balance has dropped 25% with this month's statement that "it's all in their heads." Want 4 more years of Bush-style compassionate conservatism? Vote McCain.

Step right up, right-wingers, and support this asshole. I dare you.

***** 'We've never been more dominant; we've never had more natural advantages than we have today . . . We have benefited greatly' from the globalization of the economy in the last 30 years******

......insane.....

.....he is so out and out wrong, that its even difficult to attribute it to lying......

......he must have lost his marbles.........

McBush has already disavowed Gramm. I wonder if that will fly higher or lower than O'Bama's disavowal of his onetime UCC guru and whether this will be bandied in blogs until fall.. herm

When Phil Gramm talked about whiners he must have been reading the DR.

Phil Gramm? As in Gramm-Rudman? Bwahahahaha. It seems McCain will learn the same lesson Obama already has, - namely you are judged by the company you keep. I really can't wait for November.

He right...American really do not know how good they have it.....and when Americans can not get the products they want for the price they want....they throw major tantrums

Americans are so into materialism...they will buy houses they can not afford....boats and cars they can not maintain...and drive their credit card through the roof.....and when they finnish buying all they can buy....they bitch that they can not afford it...and are going broke...and try to sell their used shit for double the price....so they can pay off their debt

wonder if grammy thinks mcsame is a whiner for wanting another 9-11 to bolster his numbers?

I'm sure Mcsame will treat Gramm as he did Black-by tomorrow he will (literally) have forgotten about it.

btw, since when did running the country on record amounts of borrowed money and running a massive trade deficit=dominance?

Reality and the Right parted ways back when Ike left office.

Judas-
re: "Americans are so into materialism..."

Dude, um....we are capitalists. Remember?

Judas, wasn't it your hero Cheney who argued that Americans have a God given right to drive their SUVs? For any GOPher to denounce materialism after support GWB all these years is hilarious.

BET...no shit...its ok to buy....but not until you are broke or in debt.....but i guess you have no clue about good consumer spending.....you are ONE OF THOSE who spend themselves to chapter 11

i dont remember the capitalist stance is for you to be broke

re: "Americans are so into materialism..."

Dude, um....we are capitalists. Remember?

The two are not synonymous. Almost everyone I know is a capitalist, but not necessarily a materialist. I for one do not consider myself a materilist. I could live in a much larger house, buy nicer clothes, drive a flashier car. But I choose not to.

Moder8....what makes you think im a republican... it sounds like to me that being a broke bitch because of bad spending habits...has nothing to do with political party

i bet there are just as many broke dems as there are broke repubs

and if the almighty dems are against materialism...i guess none of the dems on the DR do not have a SUV...or a maxed out credit card

Goatman-
re: "The two are not synonymous. Almost everyone I know is a capitalist, but not necessarily a materialist. I for one do not consider myself a materilist...."

You then go on to display the proper hippy-dippy spiel about how you don't care too much about clothes and a flashy car...blah blah blah.

What I alluded to was that capitalism was a materialist philosophy, and nothing beyond that.

Judas, the point is, as a political calculation the GOP decided to go against suggesting Americans should cut back or have to sacrifice in any way. As if it is our God given right to consume endlessly without consequence.
So for a GOP advisor to now claim that Americans are whiners when it comes to the economy is the height of hypocrisy. Especially given Gramm's history when he was in the Senate.

i dont remember the capitalist stance is for you to be broke

Tell it to "W". I can almost guarantee that your personal credit card ain't got nothin' on the Bush credit card slips that you didn't sign, but merely voted for.

What do you expect from the party of "Go Shopping!"

Then again, Gramm's probably just out of touch. I wonder when he last pumped his own gas?

He's probably one of the lucky ones under Bush. Kind of like Cindy "I just charged 750,000 last month on American Excess!" McCain.

Out of touch, to say the least.

Especially given Gramm's history

He's a crook and so is his wife. They both belong in prison and if they have any natural born children then lock them up as a precaution.

as a political calculation the GOP decided to go against suggesting Americans should cut back or have to sacrifice in any way.

MODER8...why do you have to have the government suggest how you spend your money.....what because a GOP does not tell you how to spend you money...you get pissed off and call him a hipocrite....i dont remeber the GOP stance to have you spend yourself into debt

Out of touch, to say the least.

Kind of like that woman a few months ago who lamented how tough it was to raise a family on $500k/yr in America. What was her name again? She seemed kind of outta touch to me, too -- just like Cindy.

...that would be the left half of the nation are the whiners, as evidenced above.

We are not whiners, we're just bitter

Milton Friedman has heaped more pain and misery on the world than any other economist, for which he earned a noble prize.

But no politician has done more damage to the US economy than Phil Graham. Poney up $5/gallon and stop whining. No surprize that he would blame his victims after pocketing millions from Enron and the Banking Industry.

This asshole secretly slipped 60 pages of deregulation into vital Federal budets, not just without debate, but without anyone in Congress knowing it happened except himself. Sedition, plain and simple. Mr. Graham and his wife belong in prison.

"But Gramm's most cunning coup on behalf of his friends in the financial services industryfriends who gave him millions over his 24-year congressional careercame on December 15, 2000. It was an especially tense time in Washington. Only two days earlier, the Supreme Court had issued its decision on Bush v. Gore. President Bill Clinton and the Republican-controlled Congress were locked in a budget showdown. It was the perfect moment for a wily senator to game the system. As Congress and the White House were hurriedly hammering out a $384-billion omnibus spending bill, Gramm slipped in a 262-page measure called the Commodity Futures Modernization Act. Written with the help of financial industry lobbyists and cosponsored by Senator Richard Lugar (R-Ind.), the chairman of the agriculture committee, the measure had been considered deadeven by Gramm. Few lawmakers had either the opportunity or inclination to read the version of the bill Gramm inserted. "Nobody in either chamber had any knowledge of what was going on or what was in it," says a congressional aide familiar with the bill's history.

It's not exactly like Gramm hid his handiworkfar from it. The balding and bespectacled Texan strode onto the Senate floor to hail the act's inclusion into the must-pass budget package. But only an expert, or a lobbyist, could have followed what Gramm was saying. The act, he declared, would ensure that neither the sec nor the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (cftc) got into the business of regulating newfangled financial products called swap sand would thus "protect financial institutions from overregulation" and "position our financial services industries to be world leaders into the new century."

Dude, Clinton was in office eight years. He was elected twice. So which November are you talking about?

After the Wright affair, Obama has learned (and paid a price) for the company he kept. Now it is McCain's turn. Hopefully McCain will have the good sense to distance himself from Gramm ASAP.

No, he will say he agrees with Gramm, then say he doesn't.

McCain threw his "economic guru," and well as his previous "spirtual advisors," Hagee and Parsley, under the bus.

Also he's changed campaign managers a 100 times, I believe.

Calling us whiners!? What a jerk! He wants his guy to win? Give me a break!

Yes, Americans are whiners indeed. Fuck up big enough on one thing, and they'll find a way to be pissed about any other little thing you do (see: George W. Bush).

Phil Gramm sed WOT!?

The guy who symbolises everything that's wrong with the American economy tells the majority of American working families suffering as the economy falters that they should just suck it up cos it's all in their heads?

The guy who's fought regulation in the markets tooth and nail?

Including the unregulated "swaps" market from which the sub-prime crisis unfolded?

The guy who's efforts made the whole Enron fiasco possible?

The lobbyist fer a Big Swiss Bank?

That guy is saying this?

Wow, just wow.

Here's the deal, if America is stupid enuff to vote for McTaint, knowing full well who's pulling his strings, y'all deserve the full consequences of the inevitable dropping of the other shoe.

That is all.

Be Well.

I would be referring to this November, now that the left half of the Democrat Party has "seen the light" on the Clinton machine... ala, Do you read the HuffPost and other truth spewing far-left media concerning the Clintons?

Yes, Whiners, that would be with a capital "W". It's just the other side of the same old coin...

So the Big FU is about what...?

The War on Terror keeping us safe?
Price of Gas when we can't drill on a measley few acres in ANWR or off-shore, or build nuclear powerplants?
Global Economy stealing jobs due to corporate greed or high taxes?
Lowest rated Congress and President in our History?

...just askin'!

Pakistani ambassador talked with McCain 3 days ago for 45 minutes. They did lunch. They became buddies. They exchanged phone numbers and emails.

Ambassador Haqqani has not bothered to meet Obambi even though Obambi managed to squeak to DAWN (oldest Pak english angauge newspaper) how he intends to be our pal.

Point is we know STUFF. Ok? The Fates have decided, the dice have been cast. Mr.Chimney-sweep is out... he just doesn't know it.

One more fake election coming up....

GO THRU A TRUE RESSION AND THEN TALK! This IS bad but you haven't really seen anything yet! Go steal the apples from your neighbors yard, his lettuce, tomatoes, and potatos too. When the stores DON'T have what you need or want, and you don't have the money to buy it anyway (look kind of like the ones we used to see in old Russia). When you decide to write the letter instead of e-mailing it, you're close!

This IS a slow-down nothing more, if you'd actually seen one you WILL never forget it, believe me! Give up your car, walk away from your house, and try to find a job, right along with the other 25 to 30 million who were just layed off, and are looking too. No one is hiring, but everyone is firing cause there's o body to buy the products produced. Even your own family can't help!

This is difficult, that is impossible, there's the difference between the two. You know you can work, but no one wants you. This may turn into that, but for God and our sake, I truly hope not!

It will not matter who the next president is, this problem belongs to OIL.

Or is it called "stolen election" in America?

Serves you people right for using electronic voting machines. LOL

McCain, McCain, McCain. Retort is all over McCain. How come there are so few stories on Obama? Is it because he does nothing? Or would that be like shooting yourself in the foot.

How come there are so few stories on Obama? Is it because he does nothing?

Obamba is the anti-Chimp.

Without The Chimp, there is no Obamba. He has no merit of his own.

Simple.

Like we say, "Allah meherbaan, tau gadha pehelwaan!"

"If God wants, even a donkey can become wrestling Champ!"

That's Obama.

Hey, Can't McSame and his pals just buy a shit-load of duct tape and patch the economy? I think Rumsy has the instruction booklet for that.

DOGEN:

I parked over night in a resort hotel parking lot. I filled my tank that day. Next morning, left to drive to a golf course. My tank was nearly empty. I checked the gas cap. It had been ripped out of my car and my gas had been siphoned.

In Riverside County we are experiencing a rash of Catalytic Converter Thefts. why? They have Platinum in them and they are being sold on the black market for 100.00

So what part of a shitty economy don't you understand?

Who needs apples when you need gas?

The people who are the whiners are the gov't officials who whine about how nothing can be done to fix the energy policy..

The customer is always right--and if folks are whining--they are right.

Well, there's a Presidential platform - STFU and vote for who you're told to vote for, and stop whining.

So, what his campaign's Gaffes Per Week Average now, like 2.5? And how many are actually being reported? So much for the Librul Media.

But things like this can reach a tipping point. After a while, the question will be floated "why can't McCain get his shit together?" and "how can this man be President if he can't go 7 days without him or his advisors shooting themselves in the foot?".

Kind of makes you wonder what his presidency would be like.

America is a nation of whiners. Its never been more apparent than here on the DR. Democrats are especially prone to whining and belly aching.

When the economy was good from 2002 until late 2007 you democrats looked in every crack out there for something to be wrong with the economy.

First it was Clinton's recession that you tried to lay at the feet of Bush. Then a jobless recovery. Next stagnant wages. Never mind that we had 6 prosperous years of low unemployment, low inflation, rising home values, stock market bull runs, lowered taxes for all citizens.

Now, inexplicably since the democrats took over congress and have total control over what budgets get passed the economy is slowing, gas prices are completely insane, unemployment is rising, inflation for food and other staples is out of control.

Yes what we need now is more of the same. More democrats. Because if liked what the democrats have brought us since 2006 then just keep on pulling that democrat lever. Remember refreshing Kool-Aid will be served to the democrat sheeple right after they take the get out the vote bus to the polls.

Magic Negro

Dear Mr Gramm,

Please keep repeating this over and over.

-An Obama Supporter.

Hahaha keep it up mcsame

Just as Obama was correct in what he said in his "bitter" speech, Gramm is correct here.

He just had the balls to honest about the American public, which is a political no-no.

Myonly joy is to see the right wing getting a taste of their own medicine, which is to harp on a non-issue which is AT LEAST agruably true, and which means absolutley nothing, anyway.

Nice to see Obama with a Reaganesque retort, though. The "Dr. Phil" line appeals to the "bitter", whining dumbasses which constitute the bulk of the electorate (among which only 1 in 7 can find Irag on a world map).

Well said, MagicNegro!

Amen and Amen!

I have to agree with Gramm. We are a bunch of whiners. If you travel to almost any country (I travel to Europe, South America and Asia as part of my job). The average person in the US has it better than the average person in any country I have visited.

I have told my children, we have to understand how blessed we are just to have been born in the US.

As my boss once told me when he gave me some bad news. "Take 10 minutes to feel sorry for yourself, then we need to get back to work."

Actually, he has to cater to the left to have a chance - which I don't think he has.

First we have Gramm telling us that because we can't afford the gasoline to drive to our jobs we are whiners and then we have McBush telling us that young workers paying into Social Security for retirees' Social Security benefits is disgusting. Nice. Very nice. I have spent the past 45 years working and paying into the Social Security system. I am pretty sure the government does not have a little vault somewhere with my name on it so they could put ONLY 'my' Social Security money in there. Not that there is much left anyway, what with the government raiding Social Security every time they fall short of funds to build the Bush Memorial Iraqi Highway. But hey, why worry? Lots of dog food manufacturers are using 'human grade' ingredients these days. Probably in preparation for what will happen to Senior Citizens if we have to try to live through another 4 years of Bush-nomics.

On the Medicare front, my friend was informed yesterday that her physical therapy (she has MS, diabetes and suffered a shoulder separation two months ago) is suspended until January 1. The government has stopped paying for all physical therapy for Medicare recipients from July 1 - January 1, 2009. So if any of you have any surgery scheduled for the remainder of the year and are counting on your Medicare to pay for physical therapy, I hope you have a good Medicare Supplemental.

Yav,

My work takes me to Italy. I have spent several two week stints there. It is a beautiful country. But when I visit my peers in their homes and talk with them about the way they live, there is no way that their quality of life compares to what I seen in the average person here.

My sister-in-law lived in France for 12 years and had to move back this past winter. While the "free" health care was great, the taxes were such that she could not live there and support her two girls. Now she has found a job here and is doing a lot better.

India, China, Philippines, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico. No comparison. Not on any level. The people I know who live in Sao Paulo live in constant fear of being robed or having their children kidnaped. When I am there my company gets me an armed driver and we travel in a bullet proof car. In the Philippines when you to into a hotel your luggage is searched for explosives. Remember that hotel where the coup attempt ended up? I was there two months before that incident.

My previous boss came from Ireland, he feels the same about being in the US. I work with a person from Sweeden and he feels the same way about the US. Although he feels that the Scandiavians (sp?) are more enlightened, he agrees that in the US he lives a better life.

Yea, we are better off here than in Haiti, but we are also better off here than in any other part of the world.

This is what I teach my kids, stop focusing on what you do not have and make the most of what you do have.

This is what I teach my kids, stop focusing on what you do not have and make the most of what you do have.

I didn't know my dad blogged here! *grin*

Seriously, I was brought under the same credo. Maybe it's because we were poor, but it was good advice nonetheless. I think living my life by that philosophy has made me a better person.

To all of you tight rightys that defend this with the "We're so blessed to live in America", you're spinning those talking points so hard that your heads are gonna burst.

Yes, each of us is fortunate to have been born here as opposed to, say, Zimbabwe. But our standard of living, what we produce and how we produce it are predicated upon that situation. If we were a 3rd world country with accompanying economic conditions then your point would mean something.

McBush is a self declared mental midget when it comes to economic policy. Gramm is his "go to" guy for the policy advice. This just demonstrates with perfect clarity that a vote for McBush is a vote to continue the disastrous policies that we've just had 8 years of.

I consider this to be probably the most important election in my lifetime. If America chooses McBush then what comes next just will not matter. You can stick a fork in America, 'cause we'll be done.

"Now, inexplicably since the democrats took over congress and have total control over what budgets get passed the economy is slowing, gas prices are completely insane, unemployment is rising, inflation for food and other staples is out of control."

Is Magic Negro too stupid to know how ridiculous this post was or is he just another right wing liar???
Gramm is being thrown under the bus because it is more convenient to blame Gramm's actions in deregulation (which were significant and did help prop up the Bush economy) than to admit that Bush's and now McBush's ideas about the tax cuts for the rich are primarily to blame for our woes.
Consider that without the manipulation possible due to Gramm's deregulatory actions the Bush economy would have been in continual recession since 2001.
The Housing Bubble caused by deregulation made it appear to be operating as a healthy economy though some of us tried to tell y'all it was going to collapse, which it finally did, one year too early for Bush, McBush and Gramm.

I consider this to be probably the most important election in my lifetime. If America chooses McBush then what comes next just will not matter. You can stick a fork in America, 'cause we'll be done.

There just might be conditions beyond their control that are impacting their financial realities. If you are implying that your country is not facing economic challenges at this point, you are either obtuse or a liar.

Looks like danved picked up the crack pipe.

Its only a matter of time before true Conservative Republicans colors show throgh.

A Rich-Poor Have-Have not elitist society is all Republicans have ever wanted. They want assurances that there will always be an adequate supply of peasant like people in society to flip hamburgers and do other meanial jobs for minimum wage. But there is one small problem. They have all the money but the economy for middle class and lower class Americans is falling apart and it will utimately fall apart for them too with US Dollars falling in value like a rock and worth about as much as Monopoly Money which is happening very quickly now.

It isn't just that Graham is full of shit. He's as crooked as politicians come. Would put anyone in New Orleans to shame.

Dow holding @ 11,000 because the dollar has lost 45% of its value under Shrub. Otherwise it would be at 6,050. Gasoline $5/gallon. Unemployment between 8-12%, depending on how you count it and the region you live in.

So many people lie for money.

"So many people lie for money."

So true, but who do so many here agree with them, what's their motive????
I wonder what motivates people to still support Bush and his band of criminals.....are they just all insane????

"we have to understand how blessed we are just to have been born in the US. "SAWDUST

This is very true. But the question is, how long do we keep saying this? If we wind up in a depression, does this really matter? Its nice to look at the bright side of things, and we should as much as we can, but we also need to look at reality. If it indicates that things are going downhill drastically, this statement sounds only like dont worry, be happy-- as you puff on your weed.

When the economy was good from 2002 until late 2007...

you mean for the rich and powerful and the war profiteers?

Oh yes, wonderful years! Exxon profits were up! KBR profits are up! Blackwater profits are up!

My profits...not so good.

But, then again I am a part of that middle class that doesn't really exist anymore.

If the economy was even semi stable those years Bush squandered what was left of that stability on Iraq.

Phil Gramm: John McCain chief economic advisor, campaign co-chair, Dr. in Economics, lobbyist for banks, chief 'deregulation' cheerleader - one of the causes of the mortgage meltdown.

John McCain's called him one of America's economic experts and a man who's opinion he values greatly.

God, it's so hard to relate to Joe Sixpack from the comfort of a glove leather seat on a private jet isn't it?

Favorite Phil Gramm quote:

"Has anyone ever noticed that we live in the only country in the world where all the poor people are fat?"

**** "Has anyone ever noticed that we live in the only country in the world where all the poor people are fat?" *****

......some people actually believe that the people living under bridges, in alleyways, in crumbling ghettoes......actually want to live like that.......

.......but then...some believe actually believe that Bush's presidency was good for America......

.........go figure.......

"When the economy was good from 2002 until late 2007..."

That's just it, it wasn't good. It was all borrowed money making it appear good but wages were stagnant, unemployment was much higher than the government statistics indicated, and the value of the dollar was falling as the price of gas indicated. Get it through your head...the Bush economy was never good. When they passed the huge tax cut confidence in the dollar went out the window. When Bush started two wars adn still wanted tax cuts the dollar's value began to fall. It is still falling and will continue until someone brings fiscal responsibility back and it won't be Bush or McBush, hopefully Obama will have the courage to do it.

lifted from the Mother Jones article linked above:

Here we go, the patriot Phil Graham has single-handedly driven our financial system to the ground. John McCain, who does not know much about economics, rewards his buddy by making him his economic guru and advisor. Had this happened in the Banana Republic, the citizens of the Banana Republic would have taken to the street in indignation and outrage.

Here in America, the press is totally impervious to the story, many thanks to Mother Jones for reporting it. What our mainstream press is overwhelmed with is whether Obama hanging a flag lapel on his shirt or not and whether his great uncle was at Auschwitz or Buchenwald.

Meanwhile, the average Joe is busy wrapping himself with the flag and watching the trash that the corporate-owned media is tossing at him every night to keep him pacified. In the meantime, Uncle Phil Graham and his junta are busy fleecing America; enriching themselves, their spouses and their corporate masters.

Simple question to the hard-working, less educated white men who are contemplating voting for machismo McCain, who for sure will take us to another war with Iran:
Which is less patriotic; to stick a flag lapel on your shirt, or to bankrupt America by waging needless wars? Which is less patriotic; to go to Rev. Wright's Church or to make billions by stealing our manufacturing jobs and shipping them to china?

Until the hard working, less educated Joe wakes up, smells the coffee and set his priorities straight, Patriots like Phi Graham, his patriot friend McCain, and their corporate masters will drive all of us to an unknown abyss, having our flag lapels on our shirts or not.

Say Bye Bye to Phil Gramm... don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

and good riddance!

scumbag

I'm sure that Gramm with his money from Enron and the Swiss bank UBS and his free first-class medical plan is not suffering any personal recession or hardship, mental or otherwise. So how could he know what's going on outside his own comfortable little bubble. He should keep his smug mouth zipped, though.

It just shows the intellectual and ethical bankruptcy of John McCain's presidential campaign that he has Phil Gramm as his economic adviser. Previous posters have detailed Gramm's connection to the mortgage meltdown and Enron that show how Gramm is the poster child for everything that is wrong with politics today. I hear he has tried to spin his comment to say that he meant American politicians were the whiners, not the people. He has such contempt for us that he expects us to believe that "a nation of whiners" does not mean the American people.

Bush, Cheney, Gramm and DeLay have dumped our economy, our military and our reputation in the toilet. The sooner we see the back of them the better. If McCain wants to associate himself with at least two of them the sooner we see the back of him the better too.

You would think we were in a depression, to hear all the whining. We aren't even in a recession. My God! We are a bunch of whiners.

OK!! My wife just called me out. I do think we have a lot to be concerned about economically - but I still think we have a lot of people who are predisposed to whine.

Phil Gramm is going to whine all the way to the bank.

And so are John and Cindy

Actually many Americans nowadays are whiners. There was a time that the people of this country just dug in and dealt with adversity - now they want to whine. I do attribute a great amount of it to the media with it's negative spin on just about anything the consider 'news' (such as a poll they take to create news).

The rest I attribute to the fact that most of the under 40 crowd are a bunch of pussies. [I do blame much of that on government (since the 60s), too many of my and my parents generations handing too much to their kids instead of making then earn/learn - the entitlement mentality.]

So all those numbers were all smoke and mirrors? It was all borrowed money. Most of them who had never been able to afford big screen TVs, new cars, houses, boats, vacations etc. and any other luxury should have done what? When interest rates were low and the cost of credit minimul, you would have instructed them and your friends to what? Not buy? Not invest? Stop spending your hard earned money? What was your financle advice in 2002?

McCain threw his "economic guru," and well as his previous "spirtual advisors," Hagee and Parsley, under the bus.

Also he's changed campaign managers a 100 times, I believe.

It was only 92 times, you fucking liar!

Ok, another jackass in McSame's cabal of advisers. Randy S. the Neocon on foreign affairs, and Whiney Gramm on fiscal policy. Two more nails against McSame.

McCain's advisor is correct, we are whiners.
That being said, ask yourselves, do we not have a valid reason to "whine?"

We have two unqualified (pre-approved) candidate "choices" (or actually the illusion of a choice) for POTUS.

The "elite" (with the medias help) have pre-picked for us, choice A or B, who are:
1. funded by the elite,
2. completely beholden to the elite, and their lobbyists.

We shouldn't "whine" and be quiet like good little serfs right?

To a certain element here whose testosterone has jellied, standing up for your rights constitutes "whining." They're the same species that refuses to recognize that our Murrican standard of living was created by labor unions. Unless you bash blacks or Mexicans, complaints constitute whining ..., herm

"mental recession," = republicans
