Barack Obama said it was a mistake to allow his daughters to be interviewed extensively by Access Hollywood -- and he will not allow it to happen again.

I'm with Michelle Malkin on this.

"A four-part interview that probably entailed hours of set-up, makeup, mic checks, and post-wrap schmoozingand he didnt catch it quickly enough.--

Snort."

Michelle Malkin, the same idiot who spreads lies about the Obamas on a daily basis?

I think it would be awesome if one day Malking was walking down the street, fell, somehow managed to bite the curb, and an elephant came along and stepped on the back of her head. I would give that elephant a peanut for sure.

(This is my attempt at Rob and 101 humor)

The interview, conducted by Maria Menounos, prompted criticism of the candidate, who had said that he wanted to keep his family life private, but now seemed to be using his family to advance his candidacy.

link doesn't correspond to the thread.

but the idea that access hollywood was going to be offer his candidacy anything... that's truly idiotic. it's access hollywood for god's sake!

does show how little he thinks of people, that AH was an appropriate choice.

I see where he was coming from, but I do think little of many americans... but I'm not trying to run for president.

if only there was a real f'ing disturbing flag.

"A four-part interview that probably entailed hours of set-up, makeup, mic checks, and post-wrap "

Well, at least according to an interview with the interviewer (Maria Menounos) last night, having the girls join the interview was a last-minute decision.

Yeah--riiiiight..Another flip flop--

And Michelle Malkin questions the substance of Obama.

Is that not fair enough--or is no one allowed to question his policies and substance of the same?

FF fer Murphy.

"the idea that access hollywood was going to be offer his candidacy anything... that's truly idiotic"

I don't know about that. I'm not sure if I've ever seen Access Hollywood but I did see a segment of the interview because it was being ran on other programs. Overall I thought the questioned were good considering they were talking to young children.

I'm not the type of person who's going to base his vote on a candidates family but I think there are some people out there who are going to see that interview, whether it's on Access Hollywood or some other program and feel more connected with the Obama's.

He was for the interview before he was against it.

His judgement is one of the things his followers brag about right?

("We were having a birthday party, and everybody was laughing. And suddenly this thing cropped up. I didnt catch it quickly enough. I was surprised by the attention it received.--"

Obama can't even stop a media crew from getting out of hand with his family - or so he would have us believe - but he wants us to elect him to the highest office in the land?!?!

Why didn't Maria Menounos interview them in Spanish?

/You don't have to answer that question

"My daddy says that it's ok for him and Mr. Axelrod to wrestle around late at night like him and mommy used to wrestle around sometimes. I think I may need therapy later."

Dirtbag - what's his excuse? He got carried away at the party (a 10 year old girl's party) they were just all giddy weren't they. Maybe Barry's Utopia only exists at the end of a bong... Glad to see Jesse has seen the light.

I just have to say, thanks Obama, I have seen some of the video and the kids are adorable, I can somewhat understand his point though.

Even as a Republican, I hope he has nothing to worry about, and nothing negative comes of this.

McCain 08 :)

Malkin? Isn't that really Fred Phelps in drag?

I gotta question for you McAINIACS: I heard that the official RNC euphimism for McBush's core faithful is The Cunts and Trollops. My question is: are the women supporters the Cunts or the Trollops? And will be be flagged for calling NANC or Murphy a Cunt now?

His daughters look remarkably like my nieces, same age hair and skin color.

Who cares? The only people who will see it are morons who watch Access Hollywood.

Or anyone that turns on a cable news show.

"Or anyone that turns on a cable news show."

Access Hollywood pretty much is a cable news show.

I was surprised by the attention it received

Is this Obama's campaign slogan? Seems to say it weekly...

Is the the Faux Issue of the Week? I mean, who fucking cares? I mean, other than some of the "residents" who populate this institution.

That's his way of calling those who disagree with him stupid.

The other ways are "you weren't listening" and "we talked about this already."

I don't get why he regrets it... so they were on TV, who cares... its not like they were asking them policy decisions or how to deal with Iran.

Every week Obama is regretting some decision or move...

I don't get why he regrets it...
Posted by Rob_The_A_Hole

I think that it's not that they were on TV, but that they were on Access Hollywood.

even I was wondering why tf AH?

Maybe he should just wear an "I Regret" button instead of a stupid flag pin.

If only there were a "depressingly funny" flag.

Rob, I don't think he wants it to look like he is pimping out his offspring like Hillary did during her campaign.

But it was a completely harmless thing... just a goofy interview with his kids... if they were fielding questions on Social Security and the state of race relations in the United States, then yeah, he'd be "pimping" them...

Not that this is a big deal and compared to the other "regrets" its the least of them all, but its just one more on the pile... Wright, Rezko, Troops wasting their lives, clinging to guns and religion, etc...

there's even an article about it on Drudge now... www.ajc.com

Its just wierd...

Malia is a very bright and articulate 10 year old.

Great family doing a good job raising their kids.

A really good example for families of all races. Committed to raising your kids, committed to education, and proof of what can happen when you are.

Menudo's is as hot as a Habanero pepper too.

The kids were cute. I completely understand their unwillingness to put them on display. It has the potential to create so many problems for the kids.

A dad has to always be on the alert. One of his primary jobs is to protect his children.

Now that being said, I wonder when we will hear Obabma say "This was a mistake and I regret that I let it happen. These are not the children I know"...

I didn't pay much attention to it.. I thought the clip was funny that showed the one child making fun of papa talking too much.

Much ado about nothing...

Don't be too hard on Obama. He was only taking the advice I gave him back on June 18th.

I saw a couple of short clips re-played of Michelle Obama's session on "The View" this morning. I thought she came off well from the little I saw of her. It's a good idea for her to do a more candid and casual shows like this one and let people get a chance to know her besides only in pre-written speeches on the campaign trail. Allows a softer image of her to come through to the public.

I'm sure the Obamas are very protective of their children, especially since they are so young, but she ought to consider maybe doing one casual tv interview appearance with her two young daughters. They seem like cute kids and it would give people get to know their family better.

Those little girls are cute as a button and very bright.

They're obviously doing a great job raising their kids.

Good sense of humor in the house too.

Obama was stupid allowing the interviews and that tells us something about his lack of common sense.

The children should always stay out of the light of the media for they are not political and have no idea how the words said can be twisted, turned, and convoluted.

MONEYWAR

We've seen and heard the children of EVERY presidential candidate during elections. Why pretend this is so egregious? No political points for you!!

:-)

As for showing how little people care, check pout John McCain's campaign. All Americans are whiners for talking about losing their jobs according to the McCain campaign.

Should play out nicely, but I'm sure the right-wing controlled media (i.e. all of it) will not make a big deal the way they did about Obama's 'bitter' comment.

I am not pretending it is egregious, it was a stupid thing to do with uncontrolled unrealized consequences.

Anyone who trusts the media now deserves everything they get.

Well, why not?

You elected a 'fighter pilot' that was probably too coked up to pass a flight physical so he just decided no to show up at all, all during a time of war.

But that's ok in your eyes, right?

Righties...pssst...pssst...SHH HHH! You voted for the dimwit in chief, remember? Your opinions don't count anymore.
Notice the housing market?
The neverending war in Iraq?
The insane national debt?
Corruption in every branch of the Bush corporate White House?
No matter what Obama does or says, he can NEVER even aspire to reach the lows your boy has hit.
Just sit quietly and please...PLEASE...don't vote this time. You've done enuff damage for 12 lifetimes.

Good point evilpolock!

All Americans are whiners

One only needs to look at some of the posters here. Phil was spot on. We are a bunch of fucking whiners. We are also fat and lazy nation as well. To bad MCCain doesn't have the balls to back his people up.

Just sit quietly and please...PLEASE...don't vote this time

Fnny how many active and non active military voted for Bush. Do you have the balls to tell them to sit back and not vote?

NObama just wanted to share his rock star status with his family. The last presidential candidate that was awed and wooed by Hollywood was Clinton who got completely caught up in the Hollywood glitz. The Clintons then fell in love with their Hollywood friends. They even went so far as to rent out bedrooms in the White House to them. They partied with them throughout the presidency. So why does NObama flip flop on the interview? He doesn't. He is just playing both sides of the coin to be safe. That is what is called "uniting" the people. Hope for change, yes we can.

Hope for change, yes we can.

Why anyone wants to see a black man in a white house begging for change is beyond me.

"Fnny how many active and non active military voted for Bush."

Funny?

No.

Pathetic?

Yes.

Think maybe you should have pasted the entire post? Or are you as impudent as Evil?

"Fnny how many active and non active military voted for Bush."

"The Military Times released its annual poll of active-duty service members, and the results showed something virtually unprecedented: a one-year decline of 10 percentage points in the number of military personnel identifying themselves as Republicans. In the 2004 poll, the percentage of military respondents who characterized themselves as Republicans stood at 60%. By the end of 2005, that had dropped to 56%. And by the end of 2006, the percentage of military Republicans plummeted to 46%."

and...

"So far this year, 40 percent of campaign contributions from military members have gone to Democratic candidates for president and Congress, according to the campaign finance watchdog group, the Center for Responsive Politics.

That compares with 23 percent of military donations to Democrats in 2002, a year before the start of the Iraq war. A chunk of the increase is coming from members of the U.S. Army, who gave 49 percent of their campaign money to Democrats in 2007, up from 28 percent in 2002."

New title for this article:

"Obama Calls Daughters' lives a Punishment"

FACT!

LA Times/Bloomberg Poll last December

Nearly six out of every 10 military families disapprove of Bush's job performance and the way he has run the war, rating him only slightly better than the general population does.

That compares with 23 percent of military donations to Democrats in 2002, a year before the start of the Iraq war. A chunk of the increase is coming from members of the U.S. Army, who gave 49 percent of their campaign money to Democrats in 2007, up from 28 percent in 2002."

Maybe the military is finally figuring out that those who send them to useless wars and cut their benefits aren't the best people to vote for.

Glad you decided to respond to sans post. To bad as usual it had nothing to do with my post. Not that anyone is surprised when clowns only paste half posts and bigger clowns repond to that. You all deserve the fucking Boy Wonder. I hope he is elected and the Country really goes to the shits. I can sit back and laugh at all the whiners who back this scum.

I'm with Malkin on this one also. She's usually absolutely barking moonbat crazy, but you people are giving Obama a pass on everything he does, even if it defies all logic and reality.

You can't "not catch it" quick enough. These things take _hours_ to do. He's either lying, or they're slightly less crappy parents then the ones who look the other way when molestation goes on.

I'd hope for lying.

"To bad as usual it had nothing to do with my post."

Of course it has something to do with your post. Your post indicated that the military voted heavily for Bush. I'm simply pointing out that the historic preponderance of military support going toward Republicans seems to be slipping quite a bit.

If that wasn't the intent of your post, sorry. Nevertheless, it is certainly a dramatic change in such a short time.

Evil posts about voting in the LAST election and that they should sit the next election out. I thought it was disrespectful to all the military vote Bush got. Now since you posted those figures and to avoid more backlash, I will re-define my position to mirror the percentage of those in the study as being disrespected.

Hey Axe---

Since you like Obama You better be wearing your Jesse Jackson Protector Underwear--or you will be short some huevos..

Are those like the Jeff Gannon (tm) undies your idol-in-chief wears?

Ankles Up!

"Rob, I don't think he wants it to look like he is pimping out his offspring like Hillary did during her campaign.
Posted by taxman"

Ahh Taxman,

But that IS the DIFFERENCE.
NObama WAS PIMPING his offspring, whereas Hillary was not.

For all of you NObama sycopants who are in dire need of brain transplants, if a person's offspring is an adult, which is the case with Hillary's daughter then it isn't pimping since she has a choice as to whether she wants to participate in her Mother's campaign or not.

Now CHILDREN, as NObama's daughters clearly are, do not have freedom of choice. They have to do what Pimp Daddy and Ghetto Mama tell them to do.

That is the difference, though I'm sure all of you NObama worshippers missed it since you have your heads shoved so far up NObama's ass you can't see or hear anything.

And Murphy,
Jackson can't remove what NObama doesn't have since Getto Mama already beat him to the punch.

Obama can't make a fucking decision and stick to it. He'll make a perfect President.

Obama does not speak a foreign language? WOW!

WHERE WAS HIS STAFF WHEN THIS DECISION WAS MADE----THEY BETTER GET IT TOGETHER -CAUSE THE REPS ARE GREAT EXPLOITERS OF GAFFS AND MISQUES

I guess he was for the interviews before he was against them?

yes you are so right......its a damned good thing that dems have never lied about mccain wanting to fight in iraq for oh.......say a hundred years or so........
those dems just NEVER would do anything like you accuse the right of........NNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Can we go more than 3 days without seeing Obama say that something he did was a "mistake," or that he "regrets" doing something, etc? His supporters claim that his "superior judgment" is a substitute for experience, but he sure seems to be making a lot of mistakes.

This election was in the bag for the democrats before it even started. By nominating Obama over John Edwards or Chris Dodd, they've managed to dump out the bag.

JOE

You should check out Zogby's 'Electoral Map'.

They just finished doing state by state polling with large samples and Barr included.

Obama's so far ahead of McCain in the Electoral count it's almost embarrassing.

Yawn.
