Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Saturday, July 05, 2008

Republican Congressman Dana Rohrabacher of California told the New York Times that President Bush is unwelcome at the GOP convention. "I don't think there are a lot of people who want to see him at the convention," said Rohrabacher, who is especially irked with Mr. Bush for his stance on immigration. He said the president "should stay home from the Republican convention, and everybody would be better off."

shame on them. their party developed the war criminal and supported him for 8 years. now they want to pretend hat he doesn't exist? shame

Bush should actually skip the country, and take the Axis of Evil with him--Cheney, Rice and the jobless Rumsfeld.

and the jobless Rumsfeld.

He's got a gig with the Hoover Institute.

Perhaps Brownie can give a speech. I'm sure he'd do a heck of a job.

as in vacuum cleaner salesman; good at sucking up!..:)

If there's a republican who wants to get elected, keep their seat, or maybe just do the right thing they should probably hit some Sunday talk showin the near future and say that he's a blithering idiot, they have hated him all along, and that they're glad that it's almost over.

Finally Shrub makes history. First President to be shunned at his parties convention.

HILARIOUS. Go back to Crawford, or Paraguay, you asshole.

I hear Alberto needs a job. He'd probably suck up for $$ at this point.

Gee, I was hoping to hear Boy Blunder at the convention speaking immediately after Cheney talked about the War Vice-President's combat heroism in Vietnam.

I'm sure BLT will be here soon to defend his idol.

itsme

I'm sure Emperor Palpatine had his 30% too.

Why do Republicans hate America and love the terrorist?
Bush should go to the Convention (or the terrorists win)and the loyal GOPpers who supported all his failed policies to date should stand up and chant four more years!

The GOP would LOVE to pretend that W did all his damage despite the party trying to rein him in but the world knows better.

The Republician Convention will be the best show in town, It should be call "BELIEVE IT OR NOT". After 8 years, of Oil prices going from $30.00 a barrel to $145.00 a barrel, when the value of the American Dollar has been down 41% these fucking clowns are going to tell the American people that they are the party of Change.........

After the damage this ADMINISTRATION has done to this Country in the last 8 years, both Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney should be booed of the stage, maybe than these Republicians will get some respect.....This Repubician party is responsibility for BUSH/CHENEY an they should be made to beg athe American people for forgiveness........

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!

I agree with Celisary.

Next up - Hell freezes over.

Standing ovations all round. Can't wait.

Four more years!!!

McBush campaign motto.

If Bush is unwelcome then, by rights, McBush should also be unwelcome.

If Bush does flee the U.S., it better be to an extradition-free country. herm

WHERE ARE ALL BUSH-LOVERS? I FEEL BAD FOR HIM...

They are attending the wake for jessie the body helms

**** GOP Rep: Bush Should Skip Convention ****

......you know how the smell of skunk sticks to everything it touches.......

I wonder if Bushs world wide approval rating is lower than bin ladens yet...

Sounds like big change to me...for the worse!!

johnson???where's johnson???rethug silence is deafening

"If Bush does flee the U.S., it better be to an extradition-free country. herm"

The ranch Bush bought in '06 for his getaway is in Paraguay, ready and waiting. Paraguay presently has no extradition treaties with anyone, though that could change with the election of Fernando Lugo as President of that country.

Until a couple of years ago George W Bush was the second coming to most righties.

Bush should be REQUIRED to show for his party's convention in prime time. He is, after all, the party's standard bearer.

Rightwingers always disappear when a metaphorical mirror is held up to them.

Baracks campaign is missing the ball on this one. Barack often speaks of how close McCain is to Bush when what he should be doing is speaking about how little respect McCain has for the leader of his party. It would go like this-John McCain tells us everyday that he has nothin to do with President Bush when we know he does becuase he voted with him 95 percent of the time. McCain is like that date that you only wanna be with at home in front of the TV, but never want to take her out on the town and be seen with her. You dont respect her and what that tells us about McCain is he dont respect the office of the United States of America. How can he wanna be the man if he dont respect the mans office. George Bush is still our president and he is still on top of the GOP, McCains party. No matter how you feel about Bush or his policies, if you voted 95 percent of the time with the man, somewhere in that it tells us you respect the man. And now we know that McCain has no respect for the leader of his own party, which is also the president of the Unmited Staes of America. Sounds kind of unpatriptic to me. Shame on John McCain.

I don't know if it's possible for McCain to be any more tainted than he already is but it's probably a good idea to keep George Bush as low profile as possible.

It's visual trickery of course. Out of sight, out of mind so to speak.

Personally I think the GOP should give George Bush a brief few minutes at the podium. Put a beer in one hand and a Bar-B-Qed rib in the other and they might just pull it off.

It worked before didn't it?

Once Bush is out, all the Reps. will claim they were against him all the time, fought him tooth and nail on every issue, etc, etc. Another pack of lies coming our way in 2009.

Bush Should Skip Convention

Hell No!

Need to remind the public who has been at the helm the last two terms.

SEE YOU IN ST. PAUL....

IT WILL BE SWELL

"Once Bush is out, all the Reps. will claim they were against him all the time, fought him tooth and nail on every issue, etc, etc. Another pack of lies coming our way in 2009."

Excuse 1: Ignorance
Excuse 2: Incompetance
Excuse 3: Don't Remember

And the morons will buy one of those every time.
