Work, work, work. The jobs going to take longer than he thought.

We need to evacuate from Iraq and focus on this mess. It demands our undivided attention.

two vehicles carrying insurgents in eastern Afghanistan. The province's governor said 22 civilians, including a woman and a child, were killed.

Yeah yeah yeah, and those al queda terrorists we blew up in 2001 were just afghan tribal leaders going to the loyal jurga to support karsick.

Oh, they really were?

Oops.

Dave, Dave, Dave. "Afghan Official: US Strikes Killed 22 Civilians"
Love your agenda driven headline.

"10 Taliban killed while planting bomb "
The real headline.

"Nuristan's Gov. Tamim Nuristani said by telephone that 22 civilians were killed in the strikes in the Waygal district on Friday"
Apparently this is where you drummed up your headline.

"But a spokesman for the U.S.-led coalition said Friday the airstrikes in Nuristan province hit militants who earlier attacked a U.S. military base with mortars. The helicopters identified the militants' firing positions, tracked them down and destroyed the vehicles they were traveling in, said 1st Lt. Nathan Perry. "These were combatants. These were people who were firing on us," Perry said. "We have no reports of noncombatant injuries."
Ahhhhhh, the truth.

"The bodies were brought to a provincial hospital, Nuristani said. Seven other people were wounded. It was impossible to independently verify any of the claims because of the remoteness of the area."
So the official was pulling shit out of his ass too.

"The province's governor said 22 civilians, including a woman and a child, were killed."
Where did this come from? It's not in the article you referenced. Did you just make it up?

Have you been taking your talking points from Murtha?

The helicopters identified the militants' firing positions, tracked them down and destroyed the vehicles they were traveling in, said 1st Lt. Nathan Perry.

"These were combatants. These were people who were firing on us," Perry said. "We have no reports of noncombatant injuries."

"Apparently this is where you drummed up your headline."

I didn't "drum up" any headline, asshole.

I copied and pasted the headline that AP originally used.

I guess someone at AP didn't like the tenor of the original report, so they altered the emphasis on the 22 deaths.

Damn librul media.

It was impossible to independently verify any of the claims because of the remoteness of the area.

___

Associated Press reporters Amir Shah in Kabul and Noor Khan in Kandahar contributed to this report.

Go figure.

Good enough to print by AP standards.

POTENTIAL TERRORISTS???

"POTENTIAL TERRORISTS???"

www.youtube.com

Do you believe the report from the military?

The military's claims about Jessica Lynch, Pat Tillman and abu graib come to mind. Then there are all the previous "terrorists" killed that eventually turned out to be civilians killed in some fuck up like a wedding or just driving down the road.
And remember, we killed captured or wounded ALL the viet cong twice in Viet Nam, according to the military.
