Emily Nordling has never met a Muslim, at least not to her knowledge. But this spring, Ms. Nordling, a 19-year-old student from Fort Thomas, Ky., gave herself a new middle name on Facebook.com, mimicking her boyfriend and shocking her father: Emily Hussein Nordling.

It is now official. We will all stop pissing our collective pants, and instead will embrace the messiah's name as our own.

etc.

Which of you other freaks on this site wish to officially declare their Husseinhood? Speak now, or forever will your kool aide glass be empty. Ha!

Now there's a neutral headline. Where is Rob The Headline Nazi?

"and instead will embrace the messiah's name"

And the string continues, unbroken: every time deification language is used about Obama, it's by a right-winger.

On topic? This stuff is always used to divide people. On the bright side, though, the bigots are always easier to identify when they volunteer themselves.

Well, Cockflush, you manage to beat yet another deceased equine carcass into submission. Brava.

On the other side of the aisle there was a brief flurry of rabid GOPhers adopting McCain's middle name in order to show solidarity with his tepid campaign.

"Sidney"

Then, when they realised that even other righties were laughing at them, they all kinda stopped.

Well, all except fer Cookie "Sidney" McFish who continues to shill fer Grampa McTantrum.

People been laughing at Cookie's absurd attempts at logical argument fer so long that he didn't even notice when the latest peals rang out.

Shhh, don't tell him.

Is funnier that way.

Be Well.

I haven't heard George Bush described as a "godly" President in a long time.

Used to be an almost everyday talking point from the right.

Must be these unholy gas prices.

But this spring, Ms. Nordling, a 19-year-old student from Fort Thomas, Ky., gave herself a new middle name on Facebook.com

OMG, Osama must be like, so totally proud to have this girl like, give herself his middle name and stuff like that, like seriously!

Just remember, you support the same candidate as this airheaded young myspace-generation bitch, Drudge slime. That tell you anything?

"Must be these unholy gas prices."

Posted by silver_ironist at 2008-06-30 12:22 AM

As if the Democrats are going to do anything about high gas prices. Heck, if you listen to Obama, he is only disappointed that the gas prices went up so suddenly. Truth be told, Democrats want high gas prices because they believe it will force more people to use public transportation.

On topic, this is great news. I thought the left was warning us not to use his middle name.

"Must be these unholy gas prices."

When the dems come out for mor drilling and more refining here in the US I'll believe you. Untill then you are farting in a tornado.

"I thought the left was warning us not to use his middle name."

On the contrary, they want you to use it all the time. And then be puzzled when you don't get any minority votes.

I think I'm gonna be ...... *hurls violently

Libs could dig up Saddam Hussein's corpse and show how much they admire him by standing him up in the audience behind the flop eared appeaser Barack Hussein Obama.

What in hell goes on in the minds of our little leftist-socialist friends? Don't they EVER nominate a presidential candidate that they don't just fall to their knees and WORSHIP? All this bullshit about fainting at his appearances, reporters "getting chills" up their legs at the Obamessiahs words, and now changing their middle names to his....what's up with all that? He's just a damn politician from Chicago.
Oh, well, they'll probably throw him in the dumpster before it's over like they have done the LAST savior they had. It wasn't that long ago that the former Clintonistas (current Obamaniacs) were asking about Bill's underwear, falling to their knees for him (sorry, Monica) and swooning at his appearances. Not any more though...LOL. You all are comical as hell...LOL.

FF. True flag, too.

Justpettinghisdog-

Don't they EVER nominate a presidential candidate that they don't just fall to their knees and WORSHIP?

Takes a lot of balls to say that, considering how much George W HAD been worshiped until only recently.

"...WORSHIP?...Obamessiahs..."

The string continues, unbroken: only right wingers use deification language regarding Obama. This post, however, comes with the added laugh of a rightie complaining the "worship" language is used too much by lefties.

"And then be puzzled when you don't get any minority votes."

Any minority still believing in the Republican party is in for a rude awakening this election season.

As a leftie allow me to add this:

I do not worship Obama. In fact, he's been pissing me off lately.

The only posters deifying Obama belong in the heads of people like justgettingalong.

A NINETEEN year old took the middle name. Hell, this 19 year old may be stupid, but at least there's some good taste involved. 90% of the right wing dummies here practically took "W" as their middle initial, and I doubt most of you are 19! Plus W is a blithering idiot.

But PLEASE continue to talk about what an "empty suit" Obama is. The irony is delicious.

I think this is cool. The use of "Barack Hussein Obama" to malign him is rooted in anti-Muslim prejudice, which shames our country. The adoption of his middle name by his supporters is a nice way to counter that.

There are plenty of Americans whose Middle Eastern heritage is reflected in their names, like Obama and Gen. John Shalikashvili, and attempts to make a slur out of them are wrong.

Oh, well, they'll probably throw him in the dumpster before it's over like they have done the LAST savior they had.

Are we talking about Bush 41 now?

"Takes a lot of balls to say that, considering how much George W HAD been worshiped until only recently."

Which reporter got chills up his leg at Bush's speeches? How many fainted at his appearances? How many people have changed their middle names to "W?" Get serious, Alex...no comparison.

"The adoption of his...name by his supporters is a nice way to counter that."

Pretty funny considering that after seven and a half years of disasters and a consensus as the worst presidency in the history of the US, you all are still willing to lick Georgie's balls

"only right wingers use deification language regarding Obama."

Right...describing the left wingers' actions like fainting, chills up legs, changin middle names etc. Are you gonna become DanHusseinForth now?

"Which reporter got chills up his leg at Bush's speeches? How many fainted at his appearances? How many people have changed their middle names to "W?" Get serious, Alex...no comparison."

WisGod and BushLoverTwo leap immediately to mind.

FF of the month! Thank you, Dan.

"describing the left wingers' actions like fainting"

Fainting is not deification.

"chills up legs"

That was a reporter, reporting. Too bad you didn't like what he said. Still, no deification.

"changin middle names"

In response to the righties' attempts to use it as a smear. But yet again, no deification.

0-for-3.

"Are you gonna become DanHusseinForth now"

I kinda prefer DanSpartacusForth.

I am DanSpartacusForth!

"Pretty funny considering that after seven and a half years of disasters and a consensus as the worst presidency in the history of the US, you all are still willing to lick Georgie's balls"

I can't stand him. It's just that I couldn't stand Gore or Kerry more than I can't stand Bush. I'm not too fond of McCain either, but I can't stand Obama more. It's been that way for many election cycles.
And...it has to do with their POLICIES, not their personalities. I don't hate dislike or particularly "loooove" any of them. If I was looking for a buddy to have a beer with, I'd probably choose Bill Clinton.

Was it Brian Williams that said it was hard to be objective while covering Hussein?

So Chris Matthews is a left winger now?

Funny, he once said W would be on mount rushmoore. But since he praised an Obama speech, he's a dirty liberal socialist now.

You fail.

"I am DanSpartacusForth!"

I like it!

Talk about deification...these people practically worship Reagan....

No worship for W from the righty tighties? Puhleeze! After the Mission Accomplished farce the Bush worshippers were in full froth mode.

mediamatters.org

Matthews is a leftwinger. He was prophetic in leftwing terms because he got his Clinton hate on waaaaaaay before the rest of them.

The fact that he said W would be on Mt Rushmore solidifies the fact he was a leftwinger because it just goes to show how fucking stupid he is.

I remember his Giuliani man-crush. I almost wished Rudy would give it to him, Matthews wanted it so bad.

I don't suppose Obama as Jesus Sculpture is deification either..

www.msnbc.msn.com

A twofer...
"the moment when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal." - Obama, acceptance speech in StPaul.

But go ahead deny the reality, this is just another facet of TrueBeliever syndrome...

"To be successful, these mass movements need the adherents to be willing to sacrifice themselves and others for the future goals. To do so, mass movements need to devalue both the past and the present. Mass movements appeal to frustrated people who are dissatisfied with their current state, but are capable of a strong belief in the future. As well, mass movements appeal to people who want to escape a flawed self by creating an imaginary self and joining a collective whole."

Have a nice day...

THAT'S OBAMA?!!!

Jeez... talk about minstrelizing.

Can you say Bamboozled?

"And...it has to do with their POLICIES, not their personalities."

Riiight! What "policy" of Bush or McBush is it that you like
their handling of the economy?
foreign policy?
the environment?
the constitution they are sworn to protect and obey?

You guys are so transparent. YOu hated Gore, Kerry, Obama, Clinton...and and all Dems...because you were convinced to do so by right wing talkers and you just weren't sophisticated enough to see through their bull shit and they convinced you that "liberals" were evil even though virtually every conservative administration in history has brought you war and recession followed by inflation.
I swear, with the obviousness of the results of 7-1/2" years of Bush it just makes me laugh when some of y'all still try to pretend (because you don't even fool yourselves any more) that Gore or Kerry would have been worse. Ridiculous, you don't even believe than any more.

"I don't suppose Obama as Jesus Sculpture is deification either.."

Good Gawd, it's one incident, over a year ago (April '07). The righties are doing it currently, and on a daily basis. I heard Laura Ingraham this morning refer to "gumdrops falling from the sky", as in it won't be gumdrops falling from the sky like the Obamaniacs believe.

Show of hands: any lefty believe that? Anyone? Anyone???

"But go ahead deny the reality, this is just another facet of TrueBeliever syndrome..."

Anybody who still calls themselves a "Bushie" after 7 years of this moron is as much a True Believer as a Scientologist.

"...as in it won't be gumdrops falling from the sky like the Obamaniacs believe.

Show of hands: any lefty believe that? Anyone? Anyone???"

Personally, I'm holding out for Little Debbie Snack Cakes.

"Personally, I'm holding out for Little Debbie Snack Cakes."

Hey, either candidate who does that gets my vote.

I mean, say what you want about SC justices, fiscal policy, or international relations...priorities are priorities.

Getting back to the article… My first thought was not Democrat/Republican or Liberal/Conservative, it was teenagers do really stupid things until they get common sense.

"You guys are so transparent. YOu hated Gore, Kerry, Obama, Clinton...and and all Dems..."

Posted by danni at 2008-06-30 12:09 PM

Danni, it wasn't hate that kept me from voting for Democrat Presidential candidates, it was their liberal agenda. And, I'll be damned if I'm just going to sit back and watch as the liberals try to destroy our great American culture. I love my country too much to allow this to happen.

If anyone is transparent, it's the Democrats and their agenda for America. They're nothing more than a bunch of socialists. They don't dare tell us what they really believe, because if they did, then they would never get elected.

By the way, whoever came up with the name "Danni Drivel" was spot on!

ff for spartacus!

loved hank azaria's role in "the birdcage" - agador spartacus.

Is it irony that America and the rest of the world had been at war with Saddam Hussein for over a decade. We recently hang the guy.

And now the Dem party puts up a guy with the name of Hussein?

Is this ironic or what?

NJHusseinDevil sounds a bit too evil for me. I think that I'll pass.

It's just incredible to me that every four frikken years we have to hear about how the youth vote is going to make a difference. How the young people really know what's going on and they're going to change the way elections go. And every 4 years the young people are two busy with their bongs and their kegs to actually get to the polls.

19 year old kids know nothing. How do we know that? Because we were all 19 year old kids and the last thing we gave a shit about was politics. Oh, yeah, we pretended that we cared and we wanted to make a difference, but when it came right down to it the party that night was more important.

Someone above mentioned deification (heh heh. sounds like defication) and how the right worshiped regan. Well, there is a huge difference between respecting a man who was genuine, stood for something and could actually speak without a teleprompter and not sound like a stuttering monkey. On the other hand, Obama will prove when he's president to be another 4-year loser like carter. But hey, at least we can get this whole "my god we made history by electing the first black president" thing out of the way and we no longer have to hear the whining sound of "selected not elected" after it's done. And if there's anything left of our country in 2012, we'll pick up the pieces, elect an adult and try to rebuild whatever mess the "First Black President" in the White House makes.

You cannot compare Reagan and Obama. They are as different as black and white (no pun intended). While the media is having orgasms whenever Barak speaks, they called Reagan a warmonger and stupid and every other word. No comparison.

and as for those stupid fucking kids, I'll be impressed if the legally change their name or if they can even name their state senators, their representative and identify 20 of any of them in a lineup (which is where they sould all be anyway, but I digress).

{/rant}

Obamas sheeple change middle name. Such bullshit. Glad the America hating terrorist cheerleaders on Drudge do not account for most of America. Fact is we have no leadership in either candidate. Most people cant even bother to vote anymore. Just one bunch of thieves stealing power from another.

"Someone above mentioned deification...."

Tis is from DanSparticusForth:

"That was a reporter, reporting. Too bad you didn't like what he said. Still, no deification."

Garen Thomas wrote a book called "The Rainbow Fish" which is sub titled "The Story of Barack Obama." A reviewer called it a hagiography which is defined as "the writing and critical study of the saints." Getting pretty close to deification if you ask me.
