Everyone should ask themselves why this guy shot himself... He was a prosecuter. He knew he was guilty, that he would be found guilty, and he knows what happens to sexual deviants in prison... so he shot himself. His actions are an admission of his guilt... I believe NBC was wrong to make a program like this. I believe it puts the lives of the Predators Family members in jepoardy. While true the Ultimate responsibility rests with the predator their family members are innocent. Some vigilanty could hunt down these Predators and kill their family members in retaliation for the Predators actions.

The problem I have with NBC is they use entrapment.
I bet some of these guys would never do this but NBC is hanging a carrot in front of these guys.

I think NBC Universal should have to pay out 105 million for running a cheesy entrapment show instead of doing the investigative reporting needed to convince America to investigate and impeach Bush.

What has this country come to that it sits and watches pseudo-reporters like Stone Phillips while Dubya and Co. run America off the rails with very little hard news reporting being done about it?

P.S. - Lest anyone misunderstand, I'm no fan of child molesters, and they should be stopped, apprehended, all of that.

Those stings netted some truly pathetic perverts but the reality is that some people start screwing little girls and boys only to escalate to more violent and sick crimes later. Like it or not, they did net a bunch of perverts that probably needed to be caught. I applaud their efforts.

I thought the program was fascinating. Chat rooms are dangerous places for teens and, if nothing else, some parents may have learned a thing or two about the dangers of cyberspace.

MSNBC probably crossed the line when they showed up with TV cameras to film the arrest of the guy in this lawsuit. He should have had his day in court. The presumption of innocence was completely thrown out the window in this case, all for the sake of ratings.

Nonetheless, I hope they continue these stings ~ public lynchings though they may be.

Right or wrong to show this guys face, who thinks that by giving this guy's family money any wrongs are made right. Why not charge NBC with a crime if it's wrong? My question is, what was in the exchange? Did the posing officer invite him over and he then cut off conversation? Was the exchange that far over the line? We don't know. We didn't sit on the jury. Did the TV station go too far, by labeling him as a child molester? I know of a young man who had a relationship with a girl 2 years younger than himself when he was 18. He is now labeled as a predator. We sometimes hunt witches people.
