Barack Obama hopes to capitalize on his expected fund-raising advantage and force Republicans to compete in states they have not had to defend in decades. "If John Kerry had these resources and had stayed outside the system of public funding, I believe he'd be president today," said Tad Devine, a senior strategist for Kerry's 2004 campaign.

Obama's hard driving 50 state strategy has paid off so far and it will likely do so again come the general.

He will be competitive in all but a handful of states.

He will win by double digits.

38 to 12.

Remember, you heard it here first.

Be Well.

"If John Kerry had these resources and had stayed outside the system of public funding, I believe he'd be president today,"

John Kerry didn't win because he was about as interesting as a warm bowl of pudding.

he made Dukakis look like James Bond.

Earlier, the pundits thought Hillary was the obvious choice and that she was being carely in protecting her 'inevitability'.

Now Barack's people have tons of money and beginning to think they can buy the Presidency.

Irrational exuberance? I thought they learnt that when they lost Ohio to Dubya.

I mean 'careful'.... sorry for the typo.

He's decided to sacrifice his other seven states.

Thee are a scream... the GOPiggies have been bleating for centuries about their cash advantage... eee-haw !

I guess some McCainites might be really wishing for Obamans to MISUNDERESTIMATE McCain .... sometimes being the underdog do get the sympathy of fencesitters.

We will be playing Rev Wright's, Phleger's, Ayers', and Michelle Obama's crazy rants 24/7 in a 57 state strategy.

Erm... 57 state strategy.

"Declare your Independence, donate to ME" "Let's now put the past behind us and move in a new direction. It no long matters that our independence was declared over 200 years ago. donate.barackobama.com

"I have created the 'Great Seal of Obama' to replace the Great Seal Of the President of the United States." B.H. Obama

"We will change from the ground up, you will now work for me" B.H. Obama

"This will be the first presidential election truly funded by the people....Donate to ME!" B.H. Obama

Yes! Change You Can Believe In!

I "HOPE" he is joking!

So essentially character assasination by proxy and curb stomping the candidate's wife?

That's yer plan?

Guess talking about policy differences doesn't really work fer you so... that's pretty much all yer left with.

Kinda sad really.

Anyway good luck with THAT in November.

See ya on the hustings.

Be Well.

I'm still holding a nine-foot pole and sorting out the two candidates from a healthy distance: because I don't believe in worshipping a mere man. Respect, yes. worship? No way.

To me the Bible is greater than ten million Oprahs or Obamas or McCains.

I am disgusted with star-worshipping Americans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Bummer. Obama Caught In a Major Lie In Very First Election Ad"

"That's why I passed laws moving people from welfare to work... cut taxes for working families... extended healthcare for wounded troops that had been neglected (Public Law 110-181). I approve of this message because I'll never forget those values."

"The problem is: Obama didn't show up to vote. Only 9 senators voted the bill down or did not show up to vote.
Obama was one of the 9.
The bill passed the senate 91 to 3... without Obama's vote."

Obama barely outraised McCain this month and only has a few more million on hand. Although Obama will outraise McCain in the general election because he won't be taking matching funds he will have to spend a lot of that money and an enormous amount of time raising those funds. That will allow McCain to concentrate on campaigning.

Obama will not be able to outspend McCain 4 to 1 like he did Hillary. McCain also runs a leaner campaign so he will be spending less money on paid staff that Barackula.

last months money war was won by the gop....thanks for playing

and how will he finance this strategy.

lets see,on larry king in 2007 he said that he believed in the public finanice system for this campaign
in feb of 2007 he CHALLENGED REPUBLICANS to limit thier spending and VOWED TO DO SO ALONG WITH THEM if he were the nominee.
he answered a democracy network questionaire by reminding everyone that he has been a long time advocate of public financing.
and what was the difference between these times and now........simple..he has conned millions of people into giving him so much money that he simply doesnt need these values or ideas anymore.

and THIS is your great messiah to deliver us from the political wilderness????

NO ............THE SUMBITCH IS A LYING CON MAN............

all information from previous post is from the

NEW YORK TIMES.........so you KNOW it HAS to be true

this will be interesting since osama hussein is actually the first affirmative action candidate that's been foisted onto the public by a sycophantic media - he's not qualified, and can only make speeches with teleprompters and no real specifics - when he steps outside the realm of hope, audacity, and change he stuffs his foot into his mouth. Dare WE have the audacity to question all the racist and bigoted swine that he surrounds himself with? Only stupid people will vote for B.H.O. To rephrase this it means people who can't think for themselves, that must have idiot reporters in the "news" media tell them that they can feel good about voting for curious george for president, is this out of line or a much needed breath of fresh air and truth - just think, all the communist liberals (or progressives, or whatever they call themeselves tomorrow trying to hide what they are)have derided, debased, abused, insulted, and with their small wits attempted to marginalize a sitting U.S. President with a sanctimonious, self-righteous air of morale supremacy, exactly who has given these people the right to decide what the 'norm' is and what can and can't be thought - - ooppss almost forgot, but despite the First Amendment there are things that people can't say, and hence can't think (quite Orwellian having thought police) this arises in the form of political correctness and white guilt from the very people that claim to espouse diversity and free speech.

yes..........and hopefully someone with much greater computer skills than me ( and that is a pretty large group)...will put the article I used on the DR this morning.
it was an article by david brooks in the times and the headline read.....
"'fast eddie' obams's a slickster like we've never seen"

thats pretty heady stuff to come from the times or any other mainstream..........

Obama And The Fall Into Tyranny The Hard Choice
By Paul Craig Roberts
6-20-8

As articles by John Pilger, Alexander Cockburn, and Uri Avnery make clear, by groveling before the Israel Lobby Obama has dispelled any hope that his presidency would make a difference.

Obama told the Lobby that in order to protect Israel he would use all the powers of the presidency to prevent Iran from having a nuclear weapon. As in the case of Saddam Hussein's "weapons of mass destruction," the conclusion whether or not Iran is making a nuclear weapon will be determined by propaganda and not by fact. Therefore, there is no difference between Bush, McCain, Obama, and the Lobby with regard to the Middle East.

by last count Obama $33 million, McSame $31 million. What's the big deal? The outcome will continue to hinge on personalities and externalities, about which he has no control. How will the public react to an attack on Iran? or $10/gallon gasoline, or the Shrub pulling binLaden out of a hole, or China, Japan and Saudi Arabia pulling the plug on US Treasuries?

The Rethuglicans have completely fucked up everyone's life, except their private contractors. Consequently, this is Obama's election to lose. But there are a hundred ways he can lose.

Obama's biggest problem may simply be carefully selected voting machine tampering. No one at a Federal level is investigating much less prosecuting these documented crimes. This means they can continue.

"Let me say this about the Democratic Party. I think that we can take a lesson from the Republicans in the sense that we seem to be continually looking for the next Messiah. I think that's a bad habit."

Barack H. Obama
The Aspen Institute
July 2, 2005

"In February 2007, I proposed a novel way to preserve the strength of the public financing system in the 2008 election. My plan requires both major party candidates to agree on a fundraising truce, return excess money from donors, and stay within the public financing system for the general election....If I am the Democratic nominee, I will aggressively pursue an agreement with the Republican nominee to preserve a publicly financed general election."

- Barack Obama, November 2007
