Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Barack Obama said on Friday he expects Republicans to highlight the fact that he is black as part of an effort to make voters afraid of him. "They're going to try to make you afraid of me," he said at a fundraiser in Jacksonville. "He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?"

Amazing how Obama's the one to initiate preemptive whines about race. Another pussy move, and more proof that his bullshit "uniting" efforts and attempts to transcend race and religion have gone horribly wrong.

But I have asserted a firm conviction - a conviction rooted in my faith in God and my faith in the American people - that working together we can move beyond some of our old racial wounds, and that in fact we have no choice is we are to continue on the path of a more perfect union.

--Baracebaiter Odamna

It was inevitable. But he is also white.

He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?".

4 for 4. Sounds more like HE'S ashamed of these attributes than anyone else.

When, oh when will America wake up to what this guy is all about - saying and doing anything to get elected, while hiding under a cloak of "hope and change."

Can't you see he's fooled you all.
Yes, he's here again, can't you see he's fooled you all.
Share his peace,
Sign the lease.
He's a supersonic scientist,
He's the guaranteed eternal sanctuary man.
Look, look into my mouth he cries,
And all the children lost down many paths,
I bet my life you'll walk inside
Hand in hand,
gland in gland
With a spoonful of miracle,
He's the guaranteed eternal sanctuary.

We will rock you, rock you little snake,
We will keep you sad and warm.

Obama Supports FISA Legislation, Angering Left

blog.washingtonpost.com

Only the Left is angry at this? Anyone who supports the Constitution and Bill of Rights whould be angry at this.

Talk about Obcama Come-down syndrome.

"When oh when will America wake up to what this guy is all about....?"

What you've got going against you is the last eight years of Republican politics and, worse yet, the Republican style of politics.

You guys got a lot of traction out of throwing whatever dirt you found or hoped you'd found or exaggerated or lied about the finding of.

You were able to convince millions that the opposition (including McCain at times) couldn't be nearly as good as he might seem to be, and so were able to elect the slack-jawed retard psychopath into the presidency twice.

Well, guess what? Most people now understand that was a psychopathic retard you held forth as an epitome of character and talent.

That's means they think you may be lying about things now. Can't imagine why.

The boys of the GOP running a campaign based on the fear of the people? and?

Just the mere thought of another Shrub like 8 years causes fears I didn't know that I have to rear their heads. Thanks for a ruined morning.

Peter Gabriel would puke if he saw fishbrain's use of his lyrics.

Why would the Republicans need to make his race an issue since his stands are pie-in-the-sky wishful thinking lacking any commonsense or specifics.

Now before you libs start jumping on my case McCain is just as bad with his own brand of nonsense which attempts to pander to various groups wanting this or that, which also means there's no reason for you to make an issue of his age either.

In sum they both suck!

They do not need race. Just stick to the issues. Raising taxes, bad energy policy. No plan to fix social security other than again, raising taxes. A novice when it comes to forgien policy. And if he surrounds himself with the same people in Washington that he did in Chicago, that will be a problem as well. Do you want people like Aires and Write (sp?) advising your president? Look at where taking advice from the wrong people got Bush...

"He's young, inexperienced, has really funny ideas, and some of his black friends and relatives are anti-Americans racists".

Nobody will exploit the race issue more than the Affirmative Action candidate Barack Obama.

The Rtard's puling indignation at having their smear efforts preempted is hilarious.

Little bitches the lot of ya.

He's is just following what has been preached to him for the last 20 years. And he actually said he never heard those sermons.

All one has to do is look the most of the rigties here on the DR to know that he's eaxctly right.

"They're going to try to make you afraid of me,"

Typical DR righty: "He's a muslim!" Check!

"He's young and inexperienced"

Typical DR righty: "What has he done" Check!

"..and he's got a funny name."

Typical DR righty: "Barack HUSSEIN Obama" Check!

"And did I mention he's black?"

Typical DR righty: "Barack OSUCKAs wife said 'Whitey'" Check!

Seems Mr Obama is either reading the rants of the DR right, or he's just wise enough to know how the righty racists operate.

Try and deny that he's right! All one has to do is look at the comments routinely thrown around here and anyone who can read will know that his words are completely accurate.

I can see why you're all so pissed off. He pretty much summarized the entire Republican strategy in two sentences.

McCain wouldn't even be the candidate if Republicans had anything at all to offer. As it is, they fell back on the lesser of 6 or 7 evils, and ended up with an over-the-hill has-been compromise candidate who satisfies no one, and is likely to self-destruct long before the election.

Sure sucks to be you.

Much like you, Obama is pissing himself and moaning about dirty tricks that haven't even occurred. Nothing like being the first to play the race card over something that DIDN'T even happen yet. Obama's new motto: Cry Foul Before We Even Play Ball. Fucking Demobabies. It REALLY sucks to be you. Bring extra talcum powder for those chafed areas, k?. There ya go.....

"this is our moment and our country is depending on us."
Barrack Obama

Yes we are.

Wow, Cookie, running out of argument already, huh? No actual points, just flaming the room?

Why don't you just take a little quiet time.

Calm down, Cookedfish. Take your Lithium.

Much like you, Obama is pissing himself and moaning about dirty tricks that haven't even occurred. Nothing like being the first to play the race card over something that DIDN'T even happen yet.

WTF. This was your hero-in-chief's whole foreign policy approach.

Now ya cry like a little bitch. You made your preemption bed.

You have no idea what a little whiner you sound like for chastising a candidate for not bending over for you. Pule on, dude.

Barack Obama said on Friday he expects Republicans to highlight the fact that he is black as part of an effort to make voters afraid of him. They'll also zero in on his inability to tell the truth. he's a liar and a socialist.

The GOP already used the race card to defeat McSame. I'd say Obamama is correct in his prediction!

o shit... a bad typo, LOL... I really meant to write OBAMA!

That's all the Husseins talk about..."race". They,ve spent most of their adult lives under the slanderous crap that comes outta their bigot church. They deny. That equals a lie.

It's all they got-McSame fucked up God and Craig fucked up Gay-bashing.
Huckleberry fucked up guns when he tried the shoot the nigger joke at the NRA.

Maybe McSame can run on his record of killing sailors? It sure fucked up his shot at being an Admiral.

he's a liar and a socialist.

You don't actually know what a socialist is, do you?

He's young, inexperienced, has really funny ideas, and some of his black friends and relatives are anti-Americans racists".

Haven't even occurred? Do you only read your own posts? See my 4:56pm post and deny those very words are being used......or continue to fool yourself.

"They're going to try to make you afraid of me," he said at a fundraiser in Jacksonville. "He's young and inexperienced and he's got a funny name. And did I mention he's black?"

Here, let's play this game again, but this time we'll only use posts from this thread:

The most bizarre part is that we still have turds like cookfish who will deny the validity of Obama's claims even as they play out right before his very eyes.

Clarence Thomas Strategy!

Obama should also remember to exploit the Clarence Thomas (US Supreme Court) Strategy and use every possible opportunity to declare that the opposition is "trying to Lynch Me!!!! That should give him a shoo in to gain the presidency!

In other words, Obama, no one can criticize you for any of your shortcomings or your position on the issues? Right? If this isn't fearmongering in itself, I don't what is.

Frankly, Mr. Obama, I didn't like Gore or Kerry for President either. Am I racist against whites too? And oh, by the way, aren't you half white yourself?

Barack Obama told a group of Florida donors Friday night that Republicans will try to make voters afraid of him, and suggested they would use his race to scare up votes for John McCain."

I was getting to like Obama and had listened to his positions on a number of policies and liked where he stood but if I can't make a single complaint or voice any criticism of him for four years if he's elected President because all the racebaiters will come out of the woodwork and start screaming "racism" than I'd rather not see him win. I'm so fed up with the racebaiting crap.

BIG mistake on Obama's part to bring up the race issue when there was no need to do it. I thought he was the one who was not going to play the race card. That didn't last long.

Chris, he's showing a paranoria about his skin color. Seems like the good Rev Wright's "preachings" from the pulpit have come home to roost.

The fact that you made a grammatical error in the headline kinda sucks all the pithiness out of it.

Just stating the obvious...

The fact that a grammatical error in the headline concerns you more than the content of the post really shows that you have no concern for his race baiting.

Just stating the obvious.........

Liking him more by the minute. Sorry NANC, you just couldn't make him into the scum bag you think he is.

I;ll save you a guess. No , he hasn't earned a vote but neither has anyone else. These next weeks will be filled with BS by so many sources that no one can name them all. Who can survive the almighty machine that for one side or another spreads the manure thickly.

I doubt the McCain is another form of plant life and there is equal doubt in the sudden outing of a Neo-Muslim in Obama.

Just what will we see? More BS put out by everyone. Our problem is damned hard. We have to sort it out, did he, didn't he and will either of them do anything.

This should be the best part and our decision will if God is willing, be right.(if Bruce Almighty)

Obama sez he's not too old?

Yeah, we knew that already.

Experience?

Obama has exactly as much experience being POTUS that John Sidney McCain III has.

Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nada day.

Here's a real difference though.

McSame pursues the same ruinous policies that have contributed heavily to the current economic nightmare.

Policies that even people on the right have gotten heartily sick of.

Beyond his sureFAIL policies McCain simply lacks the energy, temperment, mental faculties and physical constitution for the job.

Obama doesn't have any of those problems.

Mama sed Barack you out!

08ama '08.

Be Well.

What makes you think I am Nanc? I've been posting off and on here for quite some time.

Nice CS, but too bad they can't even see the truth as it smacks them in the face.

Chris, he's showing a paranoria about his skin color.

Paranoia? No. Do look up the word some time.

He didn't start this, he didn't play the race card. He's responding to the constant race positioning from "the right" and making fun of them. I laughed when I heard this clip!

Just read the DR. One day he's muslim, another day he's black, for Rush he's "Half-rican" and Michelle's always a mean and angry black woman when she's not an elitist. We had quite a few posts arguing his percentage of Arab versus African!

He nailed the right and they are squirming. You don't like what you feel when you hear his words, take a good look in the mirror. His words didn't bother me one bit - I enjoyed them.

Deth, I'm not a big fan of McCain either. This year I will vote for a candidate who is "very bad" over the one who would be "the worst thing this country has ever offered".

"What makes you think I am Nanc?"

Probably because, like nanc, yer an idiot.

And yer late to the party:

Yav, it figures you would say that. You guys can pick on every little thing McCain says and does (and rightfully so), but Obama is untouchable because he is black?

Give me a break and give me a black, yellow, green or whatever color man or woman you choose who is right for this country, and I'll vote for him in a heartbeat!

I guess I missed the earlier thread, Dave. Am I forgiven?

No one can play the race card like Obama himself. He is a master at that. He always seems to forget he is 50% white.

By bringing up the race card, he is basically telling everyone that his stance on issues doesn't matter. If you don't vote for him, it must be because you are a racist.

Idiots.

Deth, I'm not a big fan of McCain either. This year I will vote for a candidate who is "very bad" over the one who would be "the worst thing this country has ever offered".

~Anna Merkin

Of course you will.

Many GOPhers will hold their nose and vote fer the so-called Moderate/Maverick despite not really liking the guy.

The religious wingnuts know he's crazy but not their typa crazy. They'll still vote fer him but many will stay home.

The Libertarians and fiscal conservatives (those that remain anyway) are more fertile grounds fer Obamacans to emerge.

But you, AnAmerican, will rationalise that a vote fer McCain is still better than a vote fer the secret muslim, too black, not black enuff, elitist, radical, trotskyite Hussein Obama.

That about it?

GOPhers ...like lemmings ...but waaay dumber.

** deep sigh **

Still no cure fer stupid.

Be Well.

Side note: Obama has subtly instilled fear in white Americans that do not want to vote for him that they will be labeled racists. How is that for fearmongering?

No Deth. If McCain was running against Gore or Kerry, what would be your assessment of my decision?

Stupid right back at ya.

The "right" can suck my ass.

I'll start with you, Murphy, you little scamp.

Side note: Obama has subtly instilled fear in white Americans that do not want to vote for him that they will be labeled racists. How is that for fearmongering?

Blacky's keepin' the white man down! White guilt! White guilt!

You are hilarious!

Side note: Obama has subtly instilled fear in white Americans that do not want to vote for him that they will be labeled racists. How is that for fearmongering?

~AA

How is that fer ignorant? is more like it.

The right has used and will continue to use race baiting in their campaign against Obama. Obama never started with the race baiting in this campaign and trying to give him grief now fer pointing out the obvious (to the oblivious in yer case) is ridiculous beyond words.

Fear-mongering is the forte of the current administration.

And
John McSame

Be Well.

he forgot to mention he's only half-black.

so, in essence, he's a niglight.

say what you mean hussein obama.

Cranc with her usual brand of idiot anti-Muslim smear. You don't have to vote for the Nigger, Cranc.

so, in essence, he's a niglight. say what you mean hussein obama.

It's always easier identifying the bigots when they volunteer themselves.

White guilt is absolutely right, Yav. That's exactly what Obama is hoping for.

Any of you remember when Republican Michael Steele was running for a Senate seat? Obama should take note. Here's a bit of what Steele had to deal with from the Democrat party:

"Some white Democrats say Steele's African American power play is disingenuous and a ploy to help promote Republican policies and politicians. They are hoping African Americans, traditionally loyal to the Democratic Party, are not swayed by Steele's rhetoric. He's an Uncle Tom,' said Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr. (D-Dist. 27) of Chesapeake Beach. He is the personification of an Uncle Tom.'" (Walter Lee Dozier, "A Thorn In The Side," Maryland Gazette, October 5, 2001)

NIGLIGHT! I've never heard that one.

Want more?

"This Week, The News Blog - A Liberal Web Log Run By Steve Gilliard, A Black New Yorker - Removed A Doctored Photo Of Mr. Steele That Depicted Him As A Black-Faced Minstrel." (S.A. Miller, "Party Trumps Race' For Steele Foes," The Washington Times, 11/2/05)

"However, The Blog Has Kept Its Headline Simple Sambo Wants To Move To The Big House.' A Caption Beneath A Photo Of The Lieutenant Governor Reads: I's Simple Sambo And I's Running For The Big House.'" (S.A. Miller, "Party Trumps Race' For Steele Foes," The Washington Times, 11/2/05)

Isn't it funny how Obama fails to see how his own party plays this game?

NIGLIGHT! I've never heard that one.

"The new sheriff's a nig..."

I'd rather have someone like Obama who will admit he's inexperienced and doesn't know everything and would listen to advice from those who have more experienced . Beats the cocky know-it-all we have in the Oval Office now.

experienced = experience

I'd rather have someone like Obama who will admit he's inexperienced and doesn't know everything and would listen to advice from those who have more experienced .

I'd like to see if your answer was the same if you were on a pilotless plane and your choice to fly it was between me (who will freely admit I can't fly a 767) and an off duty pilot who happened to be aboard.

Or who would you rather have performing surgery on you -- the new resident (again, who freely admits inexperience) or the 30 year veteran?

I don't think it's that easy to dismiss experience.

I have no guilt. Seems to me a lot of people are talking about things they know nothing about, personally. It shows.

jomama - did i say anything about the non-prophet pedophilic religion of pieces?

no.

i.

did.

not.

i merely alluded to the fact that hussein obama is not a black man - he is half white as i am also a half breed - he is in fact "niglight". do i get mad when my husband calls me "squaw".

no.

i.

do.

not.

as long as i may refer to him as "hick" no feelings are hurt.

he'd do far better if he'd play the po' a.a. white man card...

face it - hussein obama's going to have to choose sides before it's all over in november.

Spud, I'm a disgruntled Libertarian who has no respect for Barr. What do I do? Seriously. I'm lost.

Libertarians are sorta stuck between a rock and a hard place.

The desire for personal freedom that is the bedrock upon which Libertarian thought is based is challenged at both ends of the corporate duopoly.

On the one hand the Dems represent the Nanny state mentality that wants to over-legislate new rules curtailing our behaviours.

On the other hand the GOP have proven themselves to be the ultimate disrespecters of personal liberty.

They have overly empowered the office of the executive branch and cloaked it in layer after layer of secrecy all the while spying on the American public, data mining at a furious rate, outsourcing the handling of this data to private non-governmental entities.

Too many in the GOP have started to become an overly zealous form of unthinking idealogue. The kind who would give up their essential liberties fer a false sense of security and recieve neither security not liberty.

/To paraphrase Ben Franklin.

Wot to do?

Pay attention. See past the spin. Try to keep everybody feet to the proverbial fire.

The pols, the media, yer neighbour, yerself.

Work to raise the bar.

Right now the obvious thing to do is to disempower the BushCo thieves. The only way to do that is to vote against the R-tards.

Is Obama a perfect candidate?

A panacea to all of the countries ills?

Hell no.

No one man or woman could be that, could do that.

Spud knows damn well he'll turn out to be not nearly left enuff fer Spud. Which makes all these conversations around here about whether he's really the "most liberal" senator EVAR or not seem more than a little ludicrous.

That sed, to empower the age enfeebled chameleon McAncient at this point is to open up another four years of the last eight years.

Do. Not. Want.

That all sed, you, of course, free to make up yer mind and do wotever the fuck you feel like.

Argue yer points in blogworld and try not to become too distracted by the shiny sound bytes the MSM declares is news.

Be Well.

this just keeps getting better and better.
maybe I'll stick around hahaha

chris - i'm thinkin' he'd do much better if he'd just call himself a whiteknightlight? think of the votes he'd get!

I'm a disgruntled Libertarian who has no respect for Barr. What do I do? Seriously. I'm lost.

At least you have an open mind and won't be a sheeple for your party. With that open mind you'll be able to assess each candidate in the next 4.5 months and in November vote for the one who you think will best fulfill the needs of America in this point in her history.

Posted by goatman at 2008-06-22 12:33 AM

Your hypothetical was not a fair comparison.

In your pilotless plane scenario I have a choice only between two men -- and naturally in that instance I would pick the experienced pilot or my plane would most likely plummet to the ground.

But with your analogy you're in essence saying if an inexperienced man were elected as President he would be the only person around to handle all aspects of every situation and with a President you know that's not the case.

A wise man would be one who is the first to admit he doesn't know all there is to know about being a President. And a smart man, aware of that, would make sure he picks (and takes the advice of) the smartest and most experienced men he can get as his advisors and cabinent members.

Does Goatman know each and every aspect of running a deepwater oil rig? No. Does he know all an electronics technician on an oil rig would need to know to keep the rig up and operating 24/7? Yes, likely more than any other guy on board. But I would hope that you'd recognize in order to make your oil rig operate at peak production in all aspects it takes the brainpower and knowledge of many experienced persons on the rig all working together. Yes?

The same with a President who runs our nation. One man cannot know everything there is to know about foreign policy, about the economy, all domestic matters, etc. and run the country entirely on his own. So a very smart man will admit he does not, and make sure he has others around him who do know and heed their advice. imho.

I'd rather have the "inexperienced" person who is willing to try something different than to rely upon the "experienced" person when they advocate doing the exact same thing that hasn't worked out so well. Many times a "Fresh" face is needed if one is to go forward instead of backwards.

Larry Mohr

cabinent members = cabinet members

I actually don't mind Barr to much. I accept his reason for voting for the Patriot Act (supposedly he fought against it, but voted for it so he could be on the committee that made revisions to it, and is responsible for getting the sunset provision added).

I also accept his flip/flop on drug policy. He's been talking the moderate Libertarian talk and he's actually spent the last 4 years working against his former drug Czar ways.

That being said, I'm happy about Barr and the message the libertarian party itself is sending by nominating him. Its a "look we're willing to be moderate to be more mainstream" message, and frankly, I like it.

I don't have fantasy's of the LP ever becoming a major 3rd party, but why scare away the #'s you can get by being extreme.

That being said Andrew Sullivan/Larry Hunter more or less summed up my feelings on this election, although they attack it from an Republican/Conservative POV as opposed to a Libertarian POV, I think the feelings are more or less the same.

Do higher taxes and a nod to redistributionism count more than habeas corpus, withdrawal from Iraq and some fiscal responsibility? McCain complicates things, but one paramount and genuinely conservative motive in this election is a simple one: to punish the Republican party for its betrayal of conservatism and contempt for the Constitution.

Amazing how Obama's the one to initiate preemptive whines about race. Another pussy move,

lol

I can see you know nothing about how to win in politics. Preemptive moves like this one - which by the way are eniterly justified based on the puke that your side belches - may be a "pussy" move among cretins, but it is a smart political move in the effort to define and frame himself and the "issues" your side will raise in the fall.

You really are a world-class tool. :-)

well commone.........we are having a hard time reading through all of his lies and his change of heart......(flipping, if thats a better term.

okay class...lets look at a couple of examples.

in the IL senate, he could have taken on all sorts of positions on so many things and he voted "PRESENT" over ONE HUNDRED AND THIRTY TIMES.
he told us at one point that he could no more disown the rev wright than his own grandmother..and when it got tough..UNDER THE BUS HE WENT

and what about...this new wave of politics he talks of..........when mccain CHALLENGED him to unscripted debates..........OH NO......cant do that....
in the senate, he could have been in on a ton of issues and HE DID NOTHING.....and what does his record show today..........NOTHING because this way there is no record to be held accountable for.

so now..what about some of these claims of the great messiah that WENT UNDER THE BUS at the sign of a little adversity??????????????

If you don't respond aggressively and pre-emptively to attacks, you give your opponents the opportunity to define you.

Obama's doing the right thing here. Everybody knows what the Republicans did to Dukakis and Kerry.

By the way, if your scoring at home - he lied in his speech - he's only half black.

That's a very weird distinction to make. But considering the old racist one-drop rule, I guess we've made some progress in this country when 50 percent black doesn't count as black any more.

How many threads do we need based on the same quote?

Fixed. I've merged them.

"...he is in fact "niglight"."

In much the same way that you are "brainlight".

"Fixed. I've merged them.'

Man...that's like magic.

Where was the media when 35 articles of impeachment were presented to Congress? How can there be a groundswell of public if the public is kept in the dark?

Coach Obama: Ump, I'd like to protest today's game we're about to play.

Ump: But we haven't played yet.

Coach Obama: I have reason to believe that the other team's players may say some nasty things to me and my players.

Ump: But they haven't said anything yet.

Coach Obama: That's why I'm protesting now.

Ump: Huh? Look, one more word from you and you're outta here. Go rent a sack, Mildred. Play Ball!

Cook,

Cool, a sports analogy. But it doesn't hold up for you. In basketball, players and coaches regularly alert the refs to the dirty play of opponents after it has happened once to prevent it from happening again.

In baseball, when a pitcher tries to throw a spitball the batter steps out of the box and informs the ump that the asswipe on the mound has spit on the ball.

You know that the right has big lugied-up spit ball ready to launch. We've seen it before.

It is totally justified to preempt. But pule on, its amusing.

My advice to Senator Obama is to run as a Man and Leader, and the American people will evaluate you as such, not as a victim. This is a Presidential race, based solely on a capacity to lead the United States of America. It is not about skin tone...however, perhaps we should come to expect these immature statements.

It also seems rather humorous that the Presidential candidate who was supposed to be such a "uniter" and transcend race is the one talking about it the most. If Senator Obama was confident in his abilities and character, he would not need to create a crutch for failure. Senator Obama has just tipped his hand, any criticism of him and his policies will be directly attributed to racism. I congratulate Senator Obama for taking race relations in America back some 30 years.

This just in: Obama has challenged McCain to a debate--in Arabic. Subject: Terrorism and the Koran. Tonight. On Faux.

I guess we've made some progress in this country when 50 percent black doesn't count as black any more.

---

"niglight"

What a pig. PLESAE tell me you live in some Mormon, JEE-zuss fearing enclave far from civilization.

I guess most are blind to progress. Oh, that would be the

...self-named progressives.

Intolerance, thy name is Democrat.

Jig, spook, jungle-bunny.

Why not call a spade a spade?

I don't object to you calling my G-f names. Why should you object if I return the favor?

Now listen up folks. I'm black. But if ANYBODY should bring that point up, they are just a bunch of WHITE RACISTS!

And btw - my wife is black, too. And if ANYBODY should say ANYTHING at all uncomplimentary about her, well then THEY are just an ugly bunch of WHITE RACISTS!

So, who's playing the race card?

THEY are going to try and make you AFRAID of me...

Who? THE WHITE RACISTS!

Boo!

Well, the more this turns into an issue over skin color, the more likely Obama will lose. The more Obama hides behind his skin, the more he'll inflame whites.

I wonder whose pew Barrack is sitting in today...

That Muslim Hussein is is setting race relations back thirty years by suggesting we might smear him by referring to him as that Muslim Hussein.

The puling right.

I wonder how long we'll have to wait to see Obama's Secret Service detail replaced by NOI Security... and before Louis Farakhan's eating supper in the White House.

Boo!

Why can't anyone be allowed to talk about race? What is Obama afraid of? That people might questions his wife's "black separatist" leaning college thesis? Why can't we talk about it?

Evidently, Obama has thought and talked about it.

So when was that much needed dialogue on race supposed to begin?

Oh, I see. The MONOLGUE is about to go live 24/7.

Race is and should be an issue. Obama is right to be apprehensive in that regard. And race is more of an issue in regard to Obama than it might be in regard tof other black candidates. Obama is trying to defuse his involvement with racially dominated activity throughout his career.

He is "black," and although liberals are all treacly in relation to people culturally identified as blacks and deny the existence of a black race, there are influences in the society that differentiate black people.

Obama in his books indicates that he is alienated from the white population and harbors resentment against it. Should this be a factor to be considered in determining his suitability as leader of all Americans?

Obama worked as a racial agitator exploiting racial animosity in his community organizing efforts. Should this be a factor to be considered in determining his suitability as leader of all Americans?

Obama was a member for more than two decades of a black racist church that preached black liberation theology, black separatism, and black preference, and hate-America, and hate whitey, and hate Jews. Should this be a factor to be considered in determining his suitability as leader of all Americans?

Obama's wife is an opinionated grievance collector and black activist, who has expressed her own feelings of alienation from whites, and whose primary accomplishment in her community relations job for a major hospital was distribution of contracts to blacks, and implementation of other black preference programs. Should this be a factor to be considered in determining the suitability of her husband as leader of all Americans?

Obama supports extensive aid for Africa, allocation of American wealth to raise the standard of living of Africans, something they seemingly have been unable to accomplish for themselves. In its current straits with energy expenses reducing the American standard of living is this a burden America should assume? Should this be a factor to be considered in determining his suitability as leader of all Americans?

Obama want all of the negative aspects related to his being black to be excluded from consideration of his fitness for the Presidency of the United States.

These considerations are vital in evaluating Obama's suitability to hold office. The fact that Obama is black and how he was molded, and internalized his experiences, are critical factors in evaluating his fitness for the office to which he aspires.

And if it's white society's "fault" that Obama's experiences made him what he is today, that does not merit exclusion of who and what he is in determining his fitness for office.

Only madmen would exclude Obama's race from consideration of his fitness for office.

That people might questions his wife's "black separatist" leaning college thesis? Why can't we talk about it?

To bad those who want to "talk about it" have no interest in reading it first.

Evidently you can consider race ONLY if it is used in an AFFIRMATIVE manner.

But please, no discussing the candidates race UNLESS it is being used so.

btw - If Obama doesn't win, his esteem, and the esteem of all future generation of blacks will forever and ever be irrevocably damaged by you SORRY WHITE SLAVEHOLDING RACIST *SSES!

Homeboy, hopefully, will learn that he doesn't make the rules, and that significant matters such as his being black and his Islamic antecedents and relations, are subject to consideration.

He undoubtedly will influence members of the simpleton media, who adulate him and are enlisted in his crusade, and so will mindlessly cater to his directives, but there are those who are not robot-like followers who worship this false messiah, and who will pose relevant questions.

What unashamed self-confidence; impudence he displays in making this ploy. What chutzpah.

To bad those who want to "talk about it" have no interest in reading it first.

I read it. Did you? Evidently Mrs. Obama didn't think too highly of Rep. John Conyers "integrationist" approach to politics. Do you deny this?

What unashamed self-confidence; impudence he displays in making this ploy. What chutzpah.

The first self-retort I've seen today!:>)

Now her husband has adopted the SAME "integrationist" approach.

My, could that explain the "pride in America" gaff? Could that explain the 20 year Rev. Wright connection? It might. But we can't talkk about it. Too "racist", you see.

I got my start as a race-baiter, but it no longer would serve me well, so let's put it aside and make-believe it never happened. Also, let's not discuss my druggie days, user and peddler. And let's see, what else is negative that should not be mentioned.

Hmm ... Whatever it is, you bring it up, and we'll dismiss it as irrelevant.

And if it becomes relevant, then we'll yell "racist." Americans have been so conditioned that that should conclude discussion on any point. Or at least, the Obama camp hopes so.

The black trump card, "Racist," may be relegated to a sure loser if played rather than taking the trick. Let's hope so. How long will white folks be patsies and be intimidated by the proposition that they need to indulge blacks no matter what the circumstance?

talkk-k about it is 'racist', you see.

"willie horton" type of strategies would evolve in Rove's consciousness ~ one would hope:>)

Evidently Mrs. Obama didn't think too highly of Rep. John Conyers "integrationist" approach to politics.
(emphasis mine)

Are you referring to the sociologist James Conyers referenced in her thesis?

Did you really read it?

Had Willie been white, Rove wouldn't have used him?

One would think that this kind of reverse-racial stereotyping would evolve in Hillary Clinton's consciousness... not the average Democrat's.

Did you really read it?

If I hadn't, could I have mistaken the two?

I guess I could have read "blurbs" (like the following) and made the mistake... but I didn't.

Perhaps one of the most germane subjects approached in the thesis is a section in which she conveyed views about political relations between black and white communities. She quotes the work of sociologists James Conyers and Walter Wallace, who discussed "integration of black official(s) into various aspects of politics" and notes "problems which face these black officials who must persuade the white community that they are above issues of race and that they are representing all people and not just black people," as opposed to creating "two separate social structures."

Needless to say, Michelle's "heart" was with the "two separate social structures" approach.

...or do you deny THAT?

In fact, she was rather peeved that so MANY of the black alum in her survey had "assimilated" into that nasty white racist system and weren't living in and giving back to "the community", wasn't she?

If I hadn't, could I have mistaken the two?

Yes.

Rep John Conyers is a possible VP with Obama. The mistake is more than a name switcheroo. If you hadn't included The Rep. part in the Conyers reference I could believe the mix-up.

But as it stands I think you heard someone (possibly on the radio) talking about Michelle's thesis and heard Conyers name and didn't know there were two.

Why don't you provide something else in her thesis that supports her"black separatist" philosophy you asserted.

Otherwise I'll just have to conclude that you are spouting thoughts that someone else handed you, preformed.

John,

I call bullshit on two fronts.

One, you didn't read it.

Two, Placing the words "needless to say" in front of your or someone else's opinion doesn't make something fact.

I do indeed deny that was her opinion or conclusion.

Read it. Get back to me.

I'll do better than that. Here's a link for ALL to enjoy the WHOLE THING.

Even if he loses, his candidacy will have brought forth some necessary national dialogue.

Posted by OohRah

true....big if on the "even" though at the moment:>)

ps- The bullsh*t is simply saying "Bullsh*t, you didn't read it."

I may have mistaken James Conyers for John Conyers, but I'll stand by the impressions I garnered from READING her thesis.

Now get back to me after YOU'VE read it... or DENY the truth of my assertions NOW and tell me what it was "really all about".

You're talking out of your *ss again, TB, and you know it!

...and btw - John Conyers as VP? Bwahahahahaha! I wish.

oohrah with the voice of reason.

John, in general, in argument if you make an assertion you need to support it. You don't just toss some crap out and say prove me wrong.

You got busted and are backpeddling. Posting the link isn't better, its copping out.

Hyperbole can be a tough thing to wiggle out of. Just ask Corky's sniper dodging hero.

But no worries. It's a meaningless blog.

LOL!

Nice smoke, TB. Just a shame anybody who's interested is gonna read the thesis and prove me right. ;-)

btw - I really thought it was John Conyers. You say I could have pulled a name from out of no-where and attached to an argument to it without having a specific face to go with it? When did that thesis come out? Are you that good with remembering random names YOU read, MONTHS after you've read them? If so, I salute you.

Boo!

so now..what about some of these claims of the great messiah that WENT UNDER THE BUS at the sign of a little adversity??????????????

Just like Pastor Hagee?

I thought McCain called them the 'Agents of intolerance' and then sought out his support only to then throw him UNDER THE BUS (sheesh...you need some new cliches) after his comment regarding Catholics came to light.

sounds like this guy Obama is starting to whine about anything, what a punk!

And I fully expect Obama will do the very same thing. He'll send out his hard lefty minions to peddle the fear of Global Warming, oil prices, drug companies, pro-lifers, Social Security privatization, environmental issues--you name it.

And tens of millions of Obamite will hustle to the polls out of fear, and will vote for him because of race.

What's good for the goose.

Now That We've 'Won,' Let's Come Home

The good news for Democrats -- and the big opportunity for Barack Obama -- is that John McCain and the war's last cheerleaders don't recognize that immutable reality. They're so barricaded in their own Vietnam bunker that they think the country is too.

and if anyone wants to know the REAL barrywayne hussein..........just look at david brooks column from the times and the editorial page from the post..they both put it to him pretty good.....but he will survive. he is a liberal democrat you know and the normal rules JUST DONT APPLY...........

You're right RIR. We shouldn't worry about the price of food or gas or whether or not the FDA is funded.

The real issue facing voters in Nov is whether or not Sen. Obama had muslim friends as a child.

We need to know.

hmmmmmmmm matt down said today on georgies show that this was his election to lose and one that mccain cant win............
I might agree with that IF things were all on the same level playing field..........AS IN OBAMA keeping his word on campaign financing.

and everyday we learn something more about 'fast eddie' obama........that idea seems to become more true with each NEW look into the REAL barrywayne hussein obama

The only one talking race his Obama, he's full of shit.

And I guess he will refuse to talk about experience too! Funny how just asking him to clarify what he said is something he considers "an attack"

will hustle to the polls out of fear, and will vote for him because of race. WrightisWright

There's always the "you-2" response, but what's telling is that the fear tactic is foremost and that's the way Wrighties think. Hence the "security mom" thing though I'm certain it's gender neutral. The prigs of the party are all anal retentive and can't relax on the pot. It all goes back to mommy.

Those of a liberal persuasion tend towards innovation. Change for its own sake isn't necessarily good, but new ways of thinking or solving a problem are very much so. This does not mean that they are fiscally irresponsible as individuals, and blaming a highly productive sector of society for ele3cting a few rascals - well, as we can see that cuts across party lines.

I've long favored an elimination on the cap for social security contributions. Simply doubling the withholding for small business owners has been a source of contention, but CEO's making a million or more a year should be paying more than a guy making $102,000.

That said business owners do have some perks. Owning a property remote to the domicile is a once a year write off, and they do have the ability to enhance their lifestyle by investing in the company. The ones I know drive a new vehicle every couple of years. Patch of grass at the shop then go ahead and buy that John Deere rider, and so what if it sits at home. Even an LLC provides some options.

I do think American corporations that use native materials and do not import goods from other countries should receive a tax break, if not a moratorium. That's where the innovation takes place and jobs are created. But Fuck Wall Street and the Federal Reserve. The US Treasury should start issuing money on hard assets. Trading schemes like phantom short selling should be stopped and indictments on those who have practiced it to the disfavo0r of numerous companies, most of them small and greatly affected by depressed stock prices as it makes investment less likely.

We need reforms all around, and in both parties. Obama seems the most likely to encourage these reforms, and lots of college educated people see McCain as a blustering old fool who will probably continue the military-first option. I don't think he has the qualities of a good commander in chief. It's like choosing between serving under MacArthur or Omar Bradley. The difference is that Bradley could call on Patton to help throw back the Bulge and because of the personal loyalty between them Patton drove straight through and attacked. It was his nature but the camaraderie drove it.

to be continued...

The half glass full crowd sees Obama as a mediating force. We simply do not care about his race or even his gender. We're attracted to his intelligence and willingness to weigh an issue. He is a politician and to criticize his nod to various special interest groups like the feminists doesn't really worry us because he has spoken to those groups, as he did with GM and Ford, that quotas and special treatment must end to right the ship of state chart a new course.

For 45 years, since reading Black Like Me, I and others have stood against bigotry and racism. Each sector of our has it's own version of the Good, Bad and Ugly. And the proportions are relatively the same. We recognize that the races as an entities have more in common with each other than each has in common within his own race.

We have stood against bigotry and racism for 45 years and won many battles but never the war. We always hope our president does a good job, that the country prospers and offers opportunity, but we refuse to bend to those who thrive on salacious rumors, fearmongering, and petty partisanship. We stand for Obama as a best hope. It's not the Great White Hope, nor the White Man's Burden. It's the belief that we can make tomorrow better than today, and Obama fits into that paradigm.

45 Years is a good portion of my life. I was lucky that my grandfather would always share his paper with me, and that's how I read Black Like Me in serial form. Later in college, at the University of Arizona, I read Notes of a Native Son by James Baldwin, and selected it for a thesis in rhetorical analysis. What I always remember is Baldwin forgiving his father, asking himself, Who knows what terrors visit a man in the wee hours of the morning?

Who can imagine the trembling of the Wrighties as they peer into the chaos of the world, or even the local mall. Tanning salons have turned suburbia into a discriminating society. Women are tough. Is that a White Woman, or a Black Woman? Maybe she's Italian. Lenny Bruce nailed it in '64 but they threw him in jail. Words less vile in nature than they use against their perceived enemies yet he was convicted for obscenity.

They don't deserve to be in charge of this country.

We always hope our president does a good job, that the country prospers and offers opportunity, but we refuse to bend to those who thrive on salacious rumors, fearmongering, and petty partisanship.

Bwah-hahahahahahahaha!

Bush lied! Katrina! Don't drill, EVER! Nationalize the oil refineries. Global Warming. Boo!

Nationalize the oil refineries.

The real issue facing voters in Nov is whether or not Sen. Obama had muslim friends as a child.

We need to know.

Of course, his predilections and direction are important. They provide a basis for anticipation of his actions. Remember that it's not only his affiliation with his Islamic relatives, but his embrace of the black racism of his friend and mentor, Rev. Wright's church for more than 20 years, that makes him suspect. He's also played the race card otherwise as a hate-monger himself, but why elaborate.

It's quite remarkable that you accept a black hater and racist with overt racist affiliations all of his adult life, but I suspect that you summarily reject white racist, David Duke. What's the rationale?

I'm hopeful that America will prove against being a "down right mean country" and reject this crap.
Since whites want blacks to soooo! forget about the past, this is their way to prove they have too.

We'll see

This was the playbook within the Democratic Party in the primary.

Obama is too risky--can we talk about that?

Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone but...Obama's First Public Speech Sponsored By Marxist Group Linked to Weatherman Terrorists gatewaypundit.blogspot.com

Shhhhh. Don't tell anyone but...Obama's First Public Speech Sponsored By Marxist Group Linked to Weatherman Terrorists gatewaypundit.blogspot.com

Looks like the Republican battle against Obama is sliding out of the control of Rove et al. Any astute observer will tell you that if you keep shoving something people don't want to hear in their face, they'll go against you. Many Americans are conflicted by the issue of Obama's race, be it black or half-black. And many, sad to say, would vote on this basis if left to their own choice. But I'd definitely bet that pushing his race into their face will cause them to vote for him. Definitely a losing strategy for Republicans.

'Pears to me like Obama and HIS campaign are the ones mentioning race. 'Course we know that HIS peers (Wright, Farakhan, Pfleger et al) don't play the race card in any way...ever...
It's the GOP...certainly. Democrats would NEVER...

I can see it now..."If you don't elect me it's because America is a racist country." Look out South-Central L.A.!

As usual, "johnson" is completely and totally full of shit.

And a pathetic dirtbag.

Sure, this makes sense. After all, didn't those Evil Republicans bring up race when Colin Powel was appointed?

And remember how everyone said, and oh, Condoleeza Rice? She's black.

Don't you remember all that racist talk when they were appointed? No?

Oh, that's right, it didn't happen. Oh, that's right, the only people bringing up Race with Regards to Barry is Barry's campaign, Barry and occasionally Hillary spewing about it.

huh...

Robert Byrd, Democrat, former Klansman, talking about the white N*****Rs that he knew, Joe Biden, talking about Barak being the first clean, articulate black candidate, Hillary talking about Ghandi being an employee at a gas station. Oh, no, those would only be considered racist if the OTHER party were to say them.

Obama is trying to be the victim with his latest words of non-wisdom. He has a "funny name and he's black."

So using fear to insight fear--what a novel approach..

McCain's chief advisor loves dictators:
