Gosh, our politicians are a nest of thieves. I'm shocked. And it crosses party lines. Even more shocking. There is no purity in this world, and very little in the next.
What is amazing is that the leftist suck-ups "excuse' the malefactors in their group, either seeking to diminish the import of the wages of sin by suggesting that it is only pin money, or diverting attention to others working the system as if that exonerates thieves affiliated with their part of the political spectrum. I'm going to enlighten you. Your leftist crooks have done even better than the rightiests, while proclaiming their sanctity.
Our political system is awash in special provision bills that establish niches where particular hangers-on can get payoffs. Revko is a case in point. It is not camraderie that describes his operation, but corruption.
The incredible naivete and gullibility of the left in not recognizing that their guys are in it for rewards based on their personal agendas, and that attaining high office requires a candidate/offician to be corrupt, is unbelievable. But then, psychological mechanisms enable them to excuse their "lily-white," or "mulatto tan," or even "black," or "browns" working the system.
Why do you lefties excuse the machinations of your crooks and corrupt officials? Did you ever feel that as an unenlightened ideologue, you're the foot soldier out there on the hustings - for nothing. While some numbskull, who has pounded in posts for lawn signs with the candidates name, is hired for a paying position if the candidate is elected. And if not, there are sufficient spoils to go around. Someone else will keep the misfit on a payroll.
Boy. Are you guys easy to game. But you folks are engaged in a crusade. And as political jihadists, you are on a mission, mindless and unmerited, but nevertheless - you are committed. Contribute to your candidate. We've contributed, but always in expectation on a local level of a particular quid pro quo. We all believe, for example, that an area should be rezoned, or that there should not be rent control, or that my company should get a contract. Or I get a tax break. Or that regulators act with forbearance - see our financial scandals and removal of oversight as a condition precedent to that disaster. And as exemplified by Bill Gates, non-contributors to political extortionists, have suffered. But oh yes, the lefties are as pure as the driven snow. And you folks are grown, and purportedly mature and sage. Yeah.
