Researchers who study marijuana's potency at the University of Mississippi have reported that the amount of THC, the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana, rose to 9.6 percent in 2007, compared with 8.75 percent the previous year, which is twice as high as marijuana potency 25 years ago.

It's good to know some things in America have been improving the last few years.

Who cares??

I blame Bush.

/wait what?

That explains Barry's Primary win.

This is the upside of the underground free market.

The only downside is that price has more than doubled... according to what people tell me.

Pass the Kallisti Gold, man.

actually blame nixon
he coined the war on drugs
and its failed

what's the exit strategy?

I haven't smoked a joint in about 15 years.
Bet I'd be in for a real surprise taking a hit off one today.

Beats the alternative by a country mile!

Surprised? You'd be unconscious. I know.

Its one thing to be HIGH, quit another to be STONED. Columbian Gold beats California Green every time, no matter the potency.

No you would just smoke less. It's about impossible to "oversmoke" there gets a point where you are just too stoned to smoke anymore.

Been there once, couldn't even hold the lighter over the bowl. Good time, that was a good time.

Only get to turn 20 once! (of course I have been turning 30 for several years now.)

When a White House study says one thing, sorry I believe the exact opposite. All they really want is an excuse to keep it illegal so they can keep harrassing who they want. It used to be a free country, its time for it to be one again.

Quality goes up.

Price remains the same.

Don't you wish we could say that about everything?

"It's about impossible to "oversmoke"

rookie.

"Quality goes up.

Ironically enough, it seems the closer things are to the stoner lifestyle, the cheaper and better they are - TV's - quality exponentially superior, price not so. PC's, and the porn they provide...ditto. Music? If you've got the PC, it's frickin' free (although I would never encourage people to shirk their copyright responsibilites) - oth, you can listen to a much wider variety for free via Internet radio......(excuse me.....cough! cough!
.....duuuuuuuuuuuuuddddde)..

anyways, whut?

better than being dead....I suppose:>)

"Dead & Gone" by Gypsy

DEAD AND GONE
CHORDS: A7....D....(mistakes)
G...(made)D...(follow)
F....(home)C...(They)
D...(paid)Am....(I'm)C (gone)D

Six days of runnin' I've been trying to make it home
And they pursue me till they get back what I stole
Mistakes I've made will follow me home They won't be paid till I'm dead and gone

(2) I know they're closin' in I feel them close behind
I just can't shake 'em, ; It's as if they knew my mind
Mistakes I've made will follow me home They won't be paid till I'm dead and gone
(Instrumental break)

I won't make it home I've already been shown
I won't see another day or it's gone

(3) I'm pushin' hard 'cause I'm so afraid of dyin'
I've got to make it home to see her one more time
Mistakes I've made will follow me home They won't be paid till I'm dead and gone
Till I'm dead and gone Till I'm ...............dead and gone
(Keyboard Instrumental break)

I fell in this hole Nothing but darkness there
I lost all control believing I'd die there
Then you came into my life Picked me up when I thought I was lost
And now I'll keep you, no matter what the cost

I just couldn't breath The air was too thin up there
I wanted to leave but nobody seemed to care
Then you came into my life
Brought me hope so I could see my way
And now my life's changed in so many ways
I've been fooling myself, thinking that I.....could make it all by myself
That's living a lie
Then you came into my life Picked me up when I thought I was lost
And now I'll keep you, no matter what the cost
(Instrumental break)

I won't make it home I've already been shown
I won't see another day or it's gone

(3 repeat) I'm pushin' hard 'cause I'm so afraid of dyin'
I've got to make it home to see her one more time
Mistakes I've made will follow me home They won't be paid till I'm dead and gone
Till I'm dead and gone Till I'm ...............dead and gone

This is the reason I quit smoking weed almost 20 years ago. For me the whole experience was to roll a joint, smoke it with some friends and get a buzz not to get fucked up. I tried smoking less just to get a buzz but the experience just wasn't the same. This is only more proof to me that more is not necessarily better.

....more is not necessarily better.

Ahem. More is all the better.

This is drug war propaganda that The Guardian debunked last year. www.guardian.co.uk

And even if it wasn't propaganda, why is more potency to be worried about? If a drug company takes a thousand leaves and finds a more potent way to extract something it's called a breakthrough. Stoners breed slightly better plants, and it's a problem?

And by the way, how can you OD on pot? It's like overdosing on tomatoes. It just doesn't work.

We used to call it skunk weed here and it kicked your ass!

It's not good for folks though--maybe cancer patients--but they should take the extract and not smoke it. We are smart enough to help the patient without the side effects.

It is addictive and bad for the lungs--has the same if not worse carcinergens (sp?).

And you see Gnomes skirting by after a while..

yummm....

pudding.

all the best

"It is addictive..."

Bullshit.

It's not good for folks though--maybe cancer patients--but they should take the extract and not smoke it. We are smart enough to help the patient without the side effects.

What about people with digestive issues?

The side effects are what help people, dummy.

Actually ingesting cannabis has a different effect than inhaling it. If the drug laws didn't include paraphernalia people would be more likely to use a vaporizer which doesn't produce smoke. Right now it just doubles the charges.

I don't even want to get started on the prohibition of hemp.

LEGALIZE IT, THEN SELL IT IN STORES AND TAX IT.

And by the way, how can you OD on pot? It's like overdosing on tomatoes.

Well, duh. Every try to put a tomato in a bong or keep a pipeful of them lit? Even SDTs don't work.

The pot grown at Ole Miss (my alma mater, Hotty Totty!) has been rumored for years to be, err, not so great. The farm is right off campus on this tiny little road behind some student apartments. There is a double 10ft chain link fence with lots of fishing line snagged from the efforts of out-o-pot smokers.

The entire farm serves only a dozen people in the US. They were grandfathered in from a Carter program that Raygun disposed of the first week in office. I've never smoked any buds from there or talked to anyone that has. I just know that they send out these cans of large joints, like 300 joints in a can, to the 12 or so program members. As a regular smoker from the #1 pot producing region of the world--that alley from San Fran to Vansterdam--I know west coast bud will not require you to smoke 300 joints a month.

Dutch seed producers like Soma and Greenhouse have strands they claim have a THC level 20+%. "White" strands in particular, W.Widow, W.Rhino, GW.Shark, SnowW., Ice--all sativa x indicia crosses-- will become completely covered in tricombs under good conditions.

G-13 origins remain a mystery. Ole Miss and Canadian labs have in the past been credited with its creation. It has a reported THC factor of 28%! Male G-13s are capable of turning really dank genetics into super strands.

Columbian Gold beats...

Those pure breed, landrace genetics were fine for the 60's. Now, not so much, if you can find them that is. 50/50 crosses are the way of the future. Sturdy indicia structure with racey stavia highs, throw in a ruderalis to speed up flowering time when stabilized.
