Maybe enough of the remaining connected synapses in his brain fired long enough for him to realize that Bush was going to cost him the Presidency for the 2nd time?

Anybody remember Walter Brennan as Grandpappy Amos on "The Real McCoys" many years ago?

I watched McCain make his way on stage before a speech a couple of days ago and that image came to my mind.

By the time the fall campaign kicks in full gear he'll be more like Tim Conway's Old Man character.

Mc95%Bush won't be able to run from his voting record.

YAV

You have that exactly right.

Once the country sees that McSame has turned into Bush he'll be able to retire from the Senate in a few years perhaps with some dignity.

He's really looking like an idiot for embracing all he was against a few short years ago pandering to the NeoCon idiots.

we can be sure the NeoCon idiots are praying for his election.

If he's been a "maverick" when it counted, he wouldn't have this problem.

He wouldn't have the nomination, either.

Republicans, the Party of Bush.

Neither will Obama--the most liberal Senator or any candidate for the Dems.

The most inexperienced, most candidate with no judgment and an empty suit.

Obama won't be able to run from Wright Ayres ACORN Pflegar or Michelle..

The question, Murphy, is - will enough care to believe your bullshit? Oh, the dyed-in-the-wool Republicans will care, some others may - but enough to elect McCain?

Doesn't look like it.

Substance in your post?

None.

Substance in Mc95% charge? His waffling on torture? His change of heart on spying on Americans? On Habeas Corpus? On abortion? On campaign finance reform? Ya want a list?

I can see why you repeat what you do. There really isn't an alternative tactic.

So sad.

Murph-Obama has all that peripheral crap, but so does McCain. Johnnyboy is going to have to run on his flip flops (or all his experience that was wrong and he corrected in the last year)and, the money he's still getting GWB to collect from him.
John spent the last 4 years being more Bushie than maverick, now he has to tote the albatross around to every meeting. Can't wait for his Iraq will be a short, cheap war where the sunnis and shia will sing kumbaya and we'll be greeted as liberators explanation, along with his amnesty bill. One will bomb in the north, though anti-war Democrats swept the last three special elections, includingin the south, and his My friend ted and my immigration bill will be a big hit in the south.

Yes, and that's because people like you, who can't put country before party won't let him. None of that crap matters a damn. I'll be happy to have a president who at least gives of the aura of intelligence, and Obama has that. I trust him to hire a competent cabinet and to listen to experts. That's so little but right now seems like sooooo much.

The reason McSame will win is because he's white.

........do Americans want 4 more years of Bush ??......

If McCain was such a good candidate he'd be pulling in truckloads of cash all by his lonesome.

That doesn't seem to be working.

Not only does he have to overcome his 95% neo-con voting record, he also has to overcome a national phenomenon named Barack Obama.

Young, vibrant, smart, enthusiastic, confident, well funded Barack Obama . . .

vs

A tired old neo-con with nothing to offer. Absolutely nothing!

SKIZZIKS:

"........do Americans want 4 more years of Bush ??......

Do Americans want 4 more minutes of Bush?

Hell, no. But unfortunately we're stuck with him for a little while longer.

A tired old neo-con with nothing to offer. Absolutely nothing!

Not so. If you like Bush, you'll love McCain. Well that is something? Right?

RAY

That's a very weak reed.

I sincerely hope that McCain continues to hang his hat on it.

Dubya is toxic even to those who act just like Him. Funny Dat Be.

Larry Mohr

Twinpac

It's worse than weak; it's suicidal. The Democrats could win this election with Lassie.

McCain is stepping on dick regularly these days because of senility. Just this week he was quoted as saying....

"When voters go to the poll this JANUARY to vote for President ... we will win by a substantial margin"..(Or something similar)

Obama will make mince meat out of McCain by November because the guy is losing his mind and can't remember clearly what he said yesterday.

McCain should be in a retirement home playing Bingo right now letting widowed women try to hit on him.

"........do Americans want 4 more years of Bush ??......"

Not really. A lot of us didn't want him in the first place, but what alternative did you give us? Lately, we have just been voting for the least disliked candidate. It happens a lot. Just look back. Only ONE democrat has been elected president since 1976 (with Perot's help.) That ONE democrat never got 50% of the vote. What does that say about your idols? You're doing it again THIS election. You know what they say...insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

Jest

There is an alternative. The Libertarian Party has been hijacked by conservatives. I know they can't win. But it demonstrates a dividing line between those who vote on principal verses those who vote on expediency. Both are the scariest candidates I've seen in my lifetime. And that goes as far back as Truman.

"Both are the scariest candidates I've seen in my lifetime."

Agreed, it just gets worse and worse every election.

"There is an alternative."

Ray...I have looked at the Libertarian Party a lot over recent years and like MOST of their principles and platform. I kinda liked Barr as a congressman too. I would vote for him in THIS election except for one plank in his platform. To me, it's a biggie and it's his call for an immediate and complete withdrawal from Iraq. I think it would be the biggest mistake of all the mistakes made regarding Iraq. This article describes my take on it pretty well.

online.wsj.com

Anyone notice there's already a McCain banner ad at the top of the DR putting Obama next to Ahmadinejad? Obviously McCain's only card, the sleaze card, is already being played.

LOL

Jest
The biggest mistake is you believing that bullshit. I dropped my subscription to the WSJ when they went on the warmongering warpath.

Take the Middle East Pop Quiz. You might learn how foolish your are.

ME POP QUIZm

Yes, of course. Vote Libertarian. That way, you know you don't have a chance for your candidate to win, you can sit back and criticize the next administration by saying "well, I didn't vote for him", you and the other 15 people who voted Libertarian can have a little white wine spritzer party and complain about the taxes you pay for unneccessary things like schools and roads and hospitals and armies, and dream of a day when your superior intellect will finally be recognized by us stupid "sheeple".

Obama won't be able to run from Wright Ayres ACORN Pflegar or Michelle..

WOW! What insight. I guess that's also why he will NEVER be the democratic presidential nominee. Thanks genius!

Just watched Hillary Clinton's concession speech to Obama and its seems to me that this questions just begs itself to be asked?

Is it scientifically possible that Hillary Clinton possesses more intelligence in her cunt than GW Bush possesses in this entire brain?

"Jest

I believe it . The biggest mistake is you NOT believing it. I don't care WHICH publication printed it, it's true. I'm sure you can find the same thing in other sources.

"Take the Middle East Pop Quiz. You might learn how foolish your are."

Your next biggest mistake is swallowing what this "quiz" is telling you. You have to be very, very, very naive to believe that ISRAEL is a greater threat to peace than iran.

"...and dream of a day when your superior intellect will finally be recognized by us stupid "sheeple"."

Nawww...you stupid "sheeple" will never recognize our superior intellect. I bet you spend your days working in a Kotex factory believing you're making mattresses for mice.

On the same day a CBS News poll found 64% of Americans think John McCain is the same or even more conservative than President Bush, news leaked he will be further distancing himself from Bush by not attending an upcoming fundraiser.

LOL.

"That's not change you can believe in..hehehe"....cringe.

BTW, who taught McCain to laugh like the character from "It's Pat"?

Obama is 100% correct when he says McCain will merely be
serving Bush's third term in office.

BTW, who taught McCain to laugh like the character from "It's Pat"?

Hahaha, I'd forgotten all about the SNL character "Pat" until you just mentioned him/her.

Your next biggest mistake is swallowing what this "quiz" is telling you. You have to be very, very, very naive to believe that ISRAEL is a greater threat to peace than iran.

Neither Israel nor Iran are a threat to peace. The enemy is us.

PS

A fish who sees the hook, doesn't take the bait. You'll have to learn the hard way Jest. Gotta go.

"Neither Israel nor Iran are a threat to peace. The enemy is us."

Jayzusss...I hope you're not contemplating a jihad, Ray. I hear Al Quaeda is seeking a "few good men."
