Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Thursday, June 05, 2008

HARTFORD, Conn. -- A 78-year-old man was tossed like a rag doll by a hit-and-run driver, lying motionless on a busy city street as cars go by, pedestrians do nothing and a man on a scooter circles the victim before zipping away -- a scene captured on video by a streetlight surveillance camera. The police chief's response: "We no longer have a moral compass."

Sadly, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Remember Kitty Genovese? That was 1964.

Here's an interesting link...

www.uoregon.edu

Libs and the ACLU have tried to destroy Christianity and replace it with some cultural crap from the 60's: Sex, drugs, rock and roll, Don't judge anyone, cultural equivalency, do whatever you want as long as you don't hurt anyone, don't trust anyone over 30.

Now the old man is dead and YOU LIBS are responsible!

News flash. We lost it in the 60s.

What are we doing with a street light survelance camera?

Now the old man is dead and YOU LIBS are responsible!

Yep, that's the ticket....LOL!

Yep, all these leading elected officials and "presidents" have not given anyone in the nation a look at poor moral behavior.

From the article:

However, Roberts and other city officials backtracked on Thursday. After initially saying he was unsure whether anyone called 911, he and other city officials appeared at a news conference in which they said that four people dialed 911 within a minute of the accident, and that Torres received medical attention shortly after that.

Boneheads.

I see Christians have switched from blaming Jews to blaming Libs.

Yep, all these leading elected officials and "presidents" have not given anyone in the nation a look at poor moral behavior.

As one who fantasizes about chimpanzee sex and fat men, and posts links of nude men on a blog, do you really care, montequeer?

I didn't think so.

I'd of stopped....how about you? Remember the story about the good sumaritan?

FANATICS (religious, political, or otherwise - christian, muslim, jewish, communist, etc.) of every stripe have been responsible for untold numbers of atrocities and millions of brutal killings throughout the centuries.

People have been unbelievably cruel toward one another since long before "cultural crap from the 60s" and it's the height of ignorance to believe that generation is the single source of our problems.

I would suggest that anyone reading this to take a look at an article by Stephen Pinker, on
The History of Violence.

In short, that's a laughable straw man argument, based upon an especially weak premise - that of the "noble savage" ("the idea that humans are peaceable by nature and corrupted by modern institutions").

Try again, FWTHOM.

Try again, FWTHOM.

what ever became of the driver recorded on film of doing a hit and run?

It's also interesting and ironic (on more than one level) how this mutation of the "Noble savage" argument- an idea commonly employed by *gasp* LIBERAL INTELLECTUALS - is employed much to the same end, but with Christianity as our bygone saving grace.

What most organized Christianity has to do with the teachings of Christ is beyond me. Christ lived, and taught in poverty. If you found him today, he would be at one of our overflowing homeless shelters.

Shrub ain't a real Christian. Carter is.

Few people understand the role of our sick legal system in the unwillingness of people to get involved and the degradation of our schools.

Oh, and I know for a fact that the scooter driver was a self proclaimed Conservative Christian.

Zarathustra----How's Ahuramazda doing these days?

If we use that great "moral compass" of the 60's, "don't judge people" then we could say that we shouldn't judge the hit and run driver or the people who drove around him and walked around him. They were just "doing their own thing." Bsides, the old man was probably dead anyway, fuck him!

I love the 60's and that wonderful liberalism that came out of it.

Shock is usually the response to a situation like this, a lot of people"freeze" and cant move ,physically, or are shaking.(unable to push buttons on cell phones) The police chief said he was initally pissed off basically that no one did any thing. Then changed his tune, when the physican, time, set in and he realized several people called 9/11 and the old man got assistance rather quickly.Hope fully they catch the perps , probably get a slap on the wrist ,but thats a whole other thread isnt it.

"and that Torres received medical attention shortly after that."

It seems that humanity wasn't quite as depraved as some had hoped.

"As one who fantasizes about chimpanzee sex and fat men,"

You do know, I'm sure. You really are a sick man.

Fwthom is a cool dude.

Humanity isnt depraved , maybe like 10% of it. Most people are willing to help thier neighbor(remember right after 9/11)But thats the eternal optomist in me,speaking for myself.

You do know,

Of course I do. I read his posts. duh

I'm sure. You really are a sick man.

I didn't know he was so depraved until I read his posts, danni. How does that make me the sick one? He's the one who brought up sex with chimpazees. He's the one who posted a link to a naked man.

I guess if I was a democrat . . .

Sorry, Snipe and Fathom, but hitting a guy and leaving him for dead is purely a Republican value. Calling 911 would be caring about another person. That's bleeding heart liberalism if I ever saw it. Calling for an ambulance means soliciting government intervention. Pure socialism. Finally, it would have been unthinkable had this old guy been treated at public expense. Man, next thing you know we'd have a national health plan. herm

I played piano at my church in California. One Sunday morning I arrived and parked. I could see out my windshield that there was a man lying on the sidewalk 15 feet from the main walk into the church. I watched as well over 100 people looked at him and went into the church with none of them even bothering to go see if he was alive or OK. I did. He was passed out and in insulin shock. I called the paramedics, waited until they arrived, and promptly went into the church and told the entire congregation how shocked I was.

Then I quit the church in front of everyone. Most of them were staunch Republicans.

Then I quit the church in front of everyone. Most of them were staunch Republicans.
How do you know ?Did you ask everyone of them thier party affiliation.I know thier are both repubs and dems in 12 step groups, helping others is what they "preach"

I'd been a member for 8 years and knew most of the members. The parking lot was full of "Reagan-Bush" bumper stickers.

Think that was a good indication?

"Zarathustra----How's Ahuramazda doing these days?"

Wouldn't know.

I took the name from Nietzsche's
Thus Spoke Zarathustra, which features a fictionalized version of Zarathustra (who is used in the context of the book to overturn the prevailing morality of the time); to the best of my knowledge, none of Nietzsche's works had anything to do with this fellow Ahuramazda.

This is real simple.

This is Democrats fault, again, for this simple reason.

If a person tries to help that man, that man will sue them for making it worse, and the person helping could be liable and lose everything they own, and will own for their lifetimes.

Thank the Lawyers for that one. Thanks Democrats.

So I find it really funny that the democrats on here are in "shock" nobody helped him.

Its because of the democrats HE WASNT HELPED>

Fucking hell, democrats are assholes.

Kuma

"If a person tries to help that man, that man will sue them for making it worse, and the person helping could be liable and lose everything they own, and will own for their lifetimes."

10/10 for a (great?) forum troll.

All anyone (save those with medical training) really COULD do in a situation like that is call 911 and attempt to divert traffic to keep him from being hit again. Apparently, nobody did the latter in this case, although evidently there were multiple calls to the authorities.

In a situation like this, you do NOT want to move the victim for MEDICAL reasons - one could easily make the injuries worse trying to move him. That's a job for someone with training - like EMTs.

If a person tries to help that man, that man will sue them for making it worse, and the person helping could be liable and lose everything they own, and will own for their lifetimes.

There are good Samaritan laws that protect a person who assists another in distress.

Goatman, your not a Lawyer like me are you? you know nothing. I will take everything you own if you even TOUCH somebody in an accident.

You sure your a republican? your pretty naive.

thats very very naive.

First of all Kuma You are no Lawyer. You are a bloviating Cretin. Second of all Goatman is quite correct. There are Good Samaritan Laws on the books to protect people when they help an injured party out and accidentally screw something up. You have NO Clue Kuma. You are a phony. Oh and I am sure any Lawyer worth their salt would know the proper time to use your and you're. You obviously do not.

You sure your a republican?

I'm sure I'm not one.

People are jailed for attacking burglars in their own God Damn house.

People have been jailed for using excessive force against burglars, not for simply for attacking them. This is rare, however since excessive force is hard to prove and juries do not have much sympathy for lawbreakers.

If Kuma was my lawyer I'd plead guilty to save time.

LOL

Goatman, your not a Lawyer like me are you?

KUMA

I'm sorry, but it stretches all meters of credibility that a 'lawyer' like KUMA doesn't know the difference between 'your' and 'you're'.

KUMA, your making a fool of yourself

KUMA

In case you didn't get the joke, I intentionally misspelled 'you're' (in italics)

Not just the "your" thing, his whole grammar and sentence structure is atrocious. I cannot imagine that a college educated person would write like he does.

Well we do still have a moral compass. But obviously it has been the sole possession of a certain subset of Americans who are Democrats for quite some time now. (Which is not to say all Democrats are moral, but rather that the vast majority of intelligent moral people are Democrats.)

but rather that the vast majority of intelligent moral people are Democrats.

Paraphrasing what a democrat once said: "It ddepends on your definition of moral"

Okay, I will grant you that.

Here, in Vancouver, WA, a high percentage of hit and run crimes are perpetrated by drunk Hispanic illegal aliens. Usually, if the vehicle is damaged, they will abandon it and walk/run away. The vehicles are almost always registered in the previous owner's name. There have been several fatalities over the past couple of years that have been perpetrated by these scumbags.

I graduated from USC law school you fuckhead twits.

I think you got the wrong idea, that all lawyers have perfect spelling and grammar. Which is a Typical democrat defense. Democrats can't argue the case, so they resort to personal attacks, and zone in on that, as if that discredits everything I say.

That doesn't work in court, dumb fucks.

VANCOUVER BOB, yes, I have been telling people about this for a decade. The democrats want more illegals, and they want them in droves.

Kuma

KUMA

To be polite, I'd say you're full of feces

The democrats want more illegals, and they want them in droves.

You must be the most unsuccessful 'lawyer' in all mankind to make a statement like that.

7 years after 9/11 the borders are wide open, and the GOP has done everything in it's power to stand aside as we were inundated with illegals taking good paying jobs while the INS did nothing but look the other way. Bush and Co. have been lobbying for years to allow more foreign workers into the U.S. to take our jobs. Look at the meat packing industry for example.

You'll have to look beyond your 'law books' to fond that info though Mr. Lawyer.

I'm a brain surgeon and a former NASA astronaut in addition to having invented the wheel. Oh, and writing all the 'law' books you read.

You're funny entertainment in the early morning. Ever considered comedy at an all neocon drunkfest?

Your argumentative skills are very poor, dude. How in the world do you pay rent?

"Kuma War is a series of playable recreations of real events in the War on Terror"

I wonder if the company that makes this game eliminated the incredible blunders Bush and Co. made in this "War on Terror" that have made us less safe according to consensus conclusions reached by our own intelligence services.

Libs and the ACLU have tried to destroy Christianity and replace it with some cultural crap from the 60's: Sex, drugs, rock and roll, Don't judge anyone, cultural equivalency, do whatever you want as long as you don't hurt anyone, don't trust anyone over 30.

You are consistent in being wrong.

Jesus Christ did not live in poverty. Nazareth was a prosperous suburb of Ceasarea, and his family business was a building contractor. Jesus spoke several languages; education was a luxury for the wealthy. During his earthly ministry Jesus had an organization with more than 100 men, plus their families.

Yes, Jesus today would be with the poor. What are you doing to help those in an 'overflowing homeless shelter?' Or do you just sit in front of your computer with the a/c blasting, bitching about the lack of faith by others?

I would expect any lawyer to have perfect spelling and grammar considering that a judgment can hang on a misspelling or misuse of a word. If I was looking to engage an attorney and I received a letter that was fraught with bad grammar and bad spelling, that attorney would be history.

The use correct grammar and spelling is indicative of a disciplined and trained mind.

I recall a very similar situation being big news about 15 or 20 years ago. A homeless man, or at least a man who "looked" homeless, slowly died on the front steps of a church on a Sunday morning. Many people just stepped over him and continued inside.

I really don't think this is a democrat vs. republican problem. Personally, I'd like to think I'd render assistance to somebody in need but I honestly don't know. I think the world is a rough place and we all develop a sense of callousness or tunnel vision to what's around us. For years, I used to commute everyday on the Philly subway; if one were to try to fully contemplate the level of poverty and plight around, we'd all go insane. I now live in West Virginia and do a great deal of work in the coal fields, where it's exactly the same way.

I think these scenarios have less to do with fear of litigation, than simple group mentality. It typically takes one leader to stand up and then everyone will follow his lead.

Occasionally too, the good guys don't win and are taken advantage of. Last year in my town, a local trucker pulled over to help a stranded motorist put on a spare tire. Unfortunately, it was all a ruse and the motorist shot the trucker in the back as he was looking at the tire. He was left for dead on the side of the highway and his last memory before waking up in the hospital was the guy searching his pockets for a wallet. The man is now paralyzed and his family wound up losing their house. I believe we live in a very open and kind society, so it's very hard to handle when the bad guys use this against us.

Again, I'd like to think I'd do the right thing but I really don't know. I've walked past many, many homeless people who were either laying motionless or hacking up their lungs and not once did I ever check on them or offer to drive them to the ER.

"so this happened "UP NOATH".......well shit fellers, I thought this kind of stuff only happens here in tejas where us'n no teeth, backwards, stoopid texians live........."

Careful, BLT, your provincialism's showing.

Next, you'll be smirking, "How you lahk thayat, Yankee boy?" and playing "Dueling Banjos."

The use of correct grammar...

(Shit...)

BL2

actually I got the title from the police chiefs quote.

I'm a right leaning financial/social program conservative with a personal freedom left skew

basically leave me alone, leave my money to me, I'll do what I want(to a degree that I shouldn't endanger others), you do what you want(to the same degree I do what I want).

I posted it from the viewpoint that I found it pretty disgusting at first take the seeming indifference of people....even given the 911 calls...how many people just drove by, or stood there watching.

I certainly had no thoughts of it being Left or Right fodder in any sense.

FWThom,

You should really check your Christianity. It does ask us to be good Samaritans. But it asks more, much more.

Christ asks, no, warns and commands us to be kind to one another, indeed to love one another. Here' specifically, he addresses hate speech toward one another: "If any man say to his brother, You fool,' he shall be in judgment of the council; if any man say, raca,' he shall be in danger of hell fire." Something like that, I'm not going to look up the very exact words right now, but it is said precisely in that spirit and meaning. We presume "raca" was some equivalent of "fuckhead" or something like that.

You might, if you are indeed a Christian as you imply, take your anger and hatred before Christ and ask Him for help. Remember, "If you do not love your brother, whom you have seen, how can you love God, whom you have not seen?" And this: "He who hates his brother has already committed murder in his own heart." Both said by Christ, what think you?

Sorry to spoil the Drudge hatefest, but can't we discuss things here honestly, rather than attack and lie?? Come on. But yeah, like that's gonna change.

The world would be a better place if we practiced real Christianity. Or even real Buddhism. Instead of just using it as a bludgeon on others. Really, isn't it obvious?

Plenty more like these...

Modern day conservatives are self absorbed and self centered.
726

Let's be honest here shall we?
Modern day Americans are usually pretty self-centered.

This isn't a Repub, Lib thing, sadly it's an American media thing.

It's a societal issue, and it's epidemic.

Think about this:
The media continues to do it's best to divide Americans through race, class, political affiliation, religion, sex, using every (and any) subject as a devisive wedge into what was once the American community.
It's happening right in front of our eyes with Obama/Clinton.

The race card? The (M/F) sex card? The religion card?
We've let the media call the arguement, and we fell or it (and continue to fall for it), hook line and sinker.
Only we can stop this madness.
Only we can change this, but we must understand what is happening, who is causing this, in order to stop it from degenerating any further.

morality is relative.

the person who hit this poor man MUST have been late to an appointment or sumpin'...

Be safe. Cross at the light.

The driver wasn't driving a pick up truck, so it was obviously a fruity lib.

End of story.

Plus, the driver was terrified to stop because he feared the old bat would fuck him up. Again, such pussiness would lead one to believe it was a limpwristed lib driving that car.

CASE CLOSED!!!!
Lt.

Kuma is right, if you are not a first responder, and you give aid other than removing the immediate threat, you can be sued for any damage or harm that can be associated to your rendering assistance.
Along the same lines as you dont really have the right to defend yourself, if you can "escape".

Maybe just a bunch of shitty fearful people in this part of Ct.

Maybe there are extenuating circumstances.

How can you sit in judgement not knowing all rthe facts?

Kuma and Gitmoboy are our legal experts now? This place is getting curiouser and curiouser....

Kuma, what exit do you get off of what freeway to get to USC?

Ok, personal story time. It's no big deal, but when I was in my 20's I was coming back from a concert and stopped at a Denny's - well, ya' know, I was coming back from a concert....anyways, I get out of the car and this guy kinda staggers up to me...I thought he was drunk (seeing as it was north of 1:00 am) but then I noticed he'd been stabbed in the arm and was bleeding profusely. This was prior to cell phones, mind you, so I went inside and had the waitress or manager or whatever call the paramedics. They showed up about 10 minutes later. I never thought twice about it. If I was one of those bystanders I would have called 911 "within a minute". Saw a guy in a convertible fly off the freeway once too....stopped at the next offramp and called 911. And I suppose I'm as liberal as anyone.

Sadly, this isn't the first time something like this has happened. Remember Kitty Genovese? That was 1964.

Spud remembers
Kitty Genovese

So does Rorshach.

So should we all.

Be Well.

So does Rorshach.

Jackie Earle Haley is an interesting casting choice.

"Humanity isnt depraved , maybe like 10% of it. Most people are willing to help thier neighbor(remember right after 9/11)But thats the eternal optomist in me,speaking for myself.

Posted by 11brto"

9/11 made a lot of patriots, allowed for people to call for prayer (including politicians), and everyone wanted to help.

No one dared to file lawsuits to stop the flagwaving, prayer, and free help.

Give it 6 months, and we are back to normal. The flags are only on the normal patriots, prayer is a no-no for any politician with lawsuits at the ready, and free help? When are they going to leave our State and go home?

"9/11 made a lot of patriots,"

Nope. We came together as a nation. And then Chimp invaded Iraq and fucked it all up.

Come on, this isn't a liberal or conservative issue. The poor guy just happened to be surrounded by douche-bags when he was hit. Liberals aren't evil...they're just misguided ;)

My 19 year old daughter was killed 2 1/2 weeks ago in a double hit and run. Inside of 15 minutes, two different drivers struck her and left her like roadkill on the highway. I can only assume that's all she was to them. I am not very impressed with the world we live in right now.

Very sorry for your loss, Clair. The anger and pain must be unimaginable.

oh yeah forgot........
so this happened "UP NOATH".......well shit fellers, I thought this kind of stuff only happens here in tejas where us'n no teeth, backwards, stoopid texians live.........

Well, to be fair, it is the home state of the Bush clan.

p.s. I agree with your assessment of texans

The Police Chief was right the whole time.

He said he was too quick when he learned that people had called 911. I still think he was right.

People should have been over him and talking to him and trying to find and stop any bleeding. Getting a pulse and finding out where he is injured is all valuable info to the paramedics when they arrive. Even if they didn't know simple first aid, they could have gone and comforted the man.

Kuma is right, if you are not a first responder, and you give aid other than removing the immediate threat, you can be sued for any damage or harm that can be associated to your rendering assistance.
Along the same lines as you dont really have the right to defend yourself, if you can "escape".

The 'Good Samaritan' laws prevent this from happening now. They've been in effect for the last 20 years or so here in Mass and are fairly universal throughout the country.

Clair... my prayers are with you. I hope you can find peace.

Libs and the ACLU have tried to destroy Christianity and replace it with some cultural crap from the 60's: Sex, drugs, rock and roll, Don't judge anyone, cultural equivalency, do whatever you want as long as you don't hurt anyone, don't trust anyone over 30.

Now the old man is dead and YOU LIBS are responsible!

from another thread:

Ny personal economy is fine. I could care less about the national economy or anyone elses finances. I'm debt free, no mortgage. I'm going to buy up some nice price-reduced houses that stupid fucks lost to foreclosure. I may also buy a couple of huge repoed SUVs too!

I am incredibly saddened to read your post. It moved me to tears reading it.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you in this awful period of your life.

Could I recommend a book to you? It has helped me through many losses of loved ones, most recently (a month ago) my sister, who was like my twin.

It's called "Embraced By The Light" by Betty J. Eadie. It was given to me years ago after I survived just such an incident while my best friend did not. It gave me a perspective I did not possess before reading it and has provided immeasurable peace in just such times.

My moral compass seems to work fine. The interesting thing is I don't even need a God to tell me how to work it either.

It's come to my attention that the attorney for the respondent has not seen fit to offer a rebuttal. That's what happens when you (mis)represent yourself.

Maybe Mr. Coma's another "legacy" deal. It could happen.

Coma. Good stuff.

FANATICS (religious, political, or otherwise - christian, muslim, jewish, communist, etc.)

Should all be made to eat shit and die-as slowly and painfully as possible.
The fact that you asswipes love to blame us libs for everything you don't like says just one thing about you-you spend WAY too much of your life and emotional energy on one or another "fake religion". You need desperately to get over yourselves-since I know that won't be happening anytime within the next thousand years or so-all I can say is-go crawl into a running combine....go out onto the nearest expressway and chew the lugnuts off moving semis. While there-you might want to kiss a few headlights.

If you don't like my response to your overly trite religious claptrap-stop blaming libs for everything you don't like in the world.

Violence has been with us since the earliest days of man.

How do you think a claw less, fang less, slow moving biped got to be the top predator on this planet?

Next, you'll be smirking, "How you lahk thayat, Yankee boy?" and playing "Dueling Banjos."

how many wars did clinton start due to lies?

Posted by truthhurts at

and how many died because he did nothing....
but of course you missed the point. you cant deny what I said even if you dont understand it. the clintons have taken a real beating from the same media that dreamed of them at night
and covered thier ass from everything from bills playing around to hillary's famous 'investments' to 'disappearances' like vince foster.
and think of the blacks who heve turned thier back on the 'first black president'......its a staggering blow to the clinton machine......and the press is loving it, THAT of course was the point.........

I'd been a member for 8 years and knew most of the members. The parking lot was full of "Reagan-Bush" bumper stickers.

Think that was a good indication?

This story sounds like Obama and his 20 clueless years at his church!...

While everyone is pointing fingers of blame and screaming about the amoral pedestrians, let's not lose sight of some vital facts:

1. The elderly man was jay-walking. In large cities, jay-walkers are a menace to themselves and others.

2. You can clearly see a double-yellow line in the street. The last time I checked, that means this was a no passing zone.

3. Both drivers violated the no-passing zone because, of course, you don't slow down or stop for turning vehicles in front of you, you swerve around them!

4. Both drivers were so intent on just the vehicle in front of them that they failed to notice the pedestrian in the road.

5. Not only did the guilty drivers not stop, neither did any of the drivers who were witnesses - including the man they swerved to pass.

Finally, give the pedestrians a break - shock played a role in the failure to act as well as a sense of self-preservation. With drivers as stupid as the ones in this video, how could they be sure they would not end up ground into the pavement like the elderly man?

lucye,

that sure is a lot of personal responsibility you are talking about there and thats not something that is really 'big' these days in many places. but with that being said, there is also in the back of some people's minds about some lawyer sueing because there are too many horror stories about lawyers filing suit over the dumbest shit.

*Maybe just a bunch of shitty fearful people in this part of Ct*
Ummm, No!
I live in the *burbs* outside Hartford. Less than a ten minute drive from where this tragic incident occurred. For the most part, I've lived in Ct all my adult life.

The area of the city in which this happened is almost entirely Hispanic. For more than forty years this area has been plagued by drugs, gangs and general no good. Gangs of kids on un-registed motorcycles and atv's routinely speed down the sidewalks and streets, undaunted by the police and ignored by the community. I rest the blame squarely on the occupants of that specific area. If this had happened less than a mile away, someone would have come to the man's aid in an instant.

Not to turn this thread into a political rant, here are a few facts about my beloved Hartford.

The Democratic party has had a death grip on Hartford for an eternity. Our *mayor* is an ex gang member...nice huh? From the lowly alderman to the corrupt school board members, they're all Dems(and have been for almost 40 years).

They complain about how the surrounding *burb* schools have all the advantages, yet Hartford out spends virtually the entire country on per capita spending per student. The school board loves to point the stink finger at everyone for the blame, but themselves. The moron's in Hartford keep electing them, with the same useless promise of change, etc...

Figured they'd learn after SO many years of failed policy.
One local Hartford high school had actually lost its accreditation .
All the teachers unions decry lack of funding, and how un-fair it is to the *minority* children in the city...blah, blah, blah.Yet they're(the teachers union is) always first at the city *trough* to be fed...

In spite of it's short comings, they're are many of us that love and support our city anyway we can. I've seen it degrade over the years...at one point it seemed to be on the rebound(many parts of the city are). Now, this incident, quite frankly makes me ill. However, considering it happened on Park street, doesn't really surprise me.
Flame on!

Krash, are you related to CaliChris? You two could be sisters.

I see Christians have switched from blaming Jews to blaming Libs.

Newsworthy

lucye - not to mention they passed on a double yellow line which is a no-no.

Think we lost our moral compass when we discovered we could kill the Indians and steal their property. Then go to church on Sunday and thank the Lord for our blessings.

I saw a liberal "moral compass" the other day. It was all bent up, the glass was cracked and the needle was twisted and pointing South instead of North.

It's apodeictic that President Bush is responsible for all in the world that Libs don't like, such as the continued existence of the United States as a world power.

With the appearance of "Obama the Messiah." everyone's personal problems will be resolved. Two men competing for the affection of one woman will both win her. Polyandry will of course, be legalized to effect this.

Oh! the oil shortage. Bethsaida redux. A duplication in principle of the miracles of the loaves and wine.

What else?

Oh yes, Obama does need to go to Israel and ride into Jerusalem backwards while seated on an ass.

It's a miracle that all are reconciled. The atheists and anti-theocrats on this thread not only are not put off by Obama's embrace of liberation theology and race hatred, but on a more basic level, they are accepting of his purportedly devout religiosity. They are enlisted in some not yet defined sodality. Now, that's one miracle. If two miracles are traditionally required for sainthood, how many are required to demonstrate that one is the messiah?
