Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Monday, June 02, 2008

An airline passenger claimed that a security guard threatened to arrest him because he was wearing a T-shirt showing a cartoon robot with a gun. Brad Jayakody, 30, from London, said he was stopped from passing through security at Heathrow's Terminal 5 after his Transformers T-shirt was deemed 'offensive.' The IT consultant was set to fly off on a business trip to Dusseldorf in Germany when he was pulled to one side.

Zeig Heil, Bushies.

Zeig Heil, Bushies.

Umm -- this happened in London. Isn't there enough American stuff you knee jerk jerks can blame Bush for without going overseas?

Go outside and play with a rattlesnake.

Because we all know for a fact-how dangerous armed robots printed onto T-shirts are....

Go outside and play with a rattlesnake.

hmm -- not many rattlesnakes in the Gulf of Mexico or on this oil rig either.

Go jerk your left knee some more. I think there is a link about Bo Diddley dying. I'm sure you can somehow blame Bush for that too. At least he's in the same country and not England.

Oh no? Bush killed Bo?

"Oh no? Bush killed Bo?"

Child's play for the hombre who snuffed out Nelson Mandela like a two-penny candle on a birthday cake.

While the Godwin-Bush two hit combo is pretty weak, do you find it unreasonable to suggest that the security response was due to over hyped terror hyperventilating? Not "Bush's fault" but a color coded bullshit "terror meter"?

It was bullshit.

As a friend of mine, a female policeman said once, all men are always in possession of a loaded rape weapon. These upstanding guardians of the public had only the protection of all of our female citizens at heart.

I wonder what those nimrods would have done had it been a five year old kid wearing the same shirt.

"As a friend of mine, a female policeman said once, all men are always in possession of a loaded rape weapon."

It is lunatics like that who make Freud seem relevant.

Just landed in Houston with a "It's all fun and games until the cops arrive t-shirt" - Little stick figures running from the law. I'm guessing the kid was giving them attitude, he looks like a huffer when he stands in line. LOL.

He just misunderstood. What was offensive is that there are 30 year-old men wearing t-shirts with little action figures on them.

Did the cop have anything smart to say about his Spiderman underoos?

How about a cowardly "Blackwater" T-Shirt?

He should have had a "Blackwater" t-shirt on,depicting these "cowardly" U.S.mercenaries brandishing machine guns and standing next to piles of the unarmed, innocent people they murdered in Iraq!

Wow, that's a great idea. How about a "Blackwater USA wastes evil Brown People". Then you could throw a fit saying that your rights are being trampled on and demand the support of every Republican senator (and the Dems who make money off the war machine.)

Bush's fault

I like the Blackwater T-shirt idea. Make some money and irritate Liberals at the same time

Is this a great country or what?

Why does it often seem that a cons only motivation for what they believe is to "irritate Liberals"?

I once went through Heathrow wearing this shirt from my band. I was sure I'd get in trouble, but had none.

first of all

heathrow airport hires some of the biggest power tripping assholes

and second in atlanta airport

it could be that i wanted to hijack an airplane with a lightsabor.

Actually, it's the other way around. You are putting the cart before the horse. In other words, conservative beliefs are irritating to liberals.

This reminds me of a bumper sticker I saw about six months ago. It read something like:

"Annoy a liberal - Work, Succeed, Be Happy"

I can't imagine why these American values would be annoying to liberals, but apparently, they are.

In other words, conservative beliefs are irritating to liberals.

True, but that is not their motivation for believing that. When have you ever heard someone say "I'm gonna get an abortion just to piss off Cons" or "I'm going to provide healthcare so I can make Pubs mad"? Never.
However, you often see things like....

"Annoy a liberal - Work, Succeed, Be Happy"

To prove my point.

I can't imagine why these American values would be annoying to liberals, but apparently, they are.

Me neither, ask the Con who printed up the bumper sticker, or do you think it was made by a Liberal?

It's like that giant Confederate flag story. Do you believe it's about heritage and all that, or more about sticking it in people's faces to irritate them?

Why does it often seem that a cons only motivation for what they believe is to "irritate Liberals"?

Because of the recent successes of their party, they have nothing else.

"Annoy a liberal - Work, Succeed, Be Happy"

I've always found this bumper sticker amusing. I guess the righties think we don't want them in our hardworking, succeeding and happy club. Its not true though, you're welcome to start working hard, succeeding and being happy I wouldn't be annoyed at all. Surprised, but not annoyed.

Annoy a liberal - Work, Succeed, Be Happy"

Actually, your slavish support of a President who can accomplish only the third part annoys the hell out of us.

"How about a "Blackwater USA wastes evil Brown People". Then you could throw a fit saying that your rights are being trampled on and demand the support of every Republican senator (and the Dems who make money off the war machine.)

Moron misses the point Flag.

p.s. How stupid is Republican4ever? She's got the reasoning skills of a chop saw.

"She's got the reasoning skills of a chop saw."

So you routinely reason with a chop saw, do you? How does that go for you? Hospital got you on their preferred client yet?
Inquiring minds want to know.

Well, I occasionally have exchanges with you here, so that probably counts.

So your saying i'm sharp and have a lot of points?

It all depends on your point of reference. I'd be the first to admit that I'm not the smartest among us, but when compared to many of the lefties that post on this site, I'm a genius.

I am lost how this has anything to do with America at all? Don't get me wrong, I am all for criticizing Bush whenever possible, however, this has nothing to do with him.

The UK has been trampling on people's rights long before the US got into the game under Bush. Just ask any catholic living in the North of Ireland...
