"'The media won't let go of these ridiculous cocaine rumors,' I heard Bush say. 'You know, the truth is I honestly don't remember whether I tried it or not. We had some pretty wild parties back in the day, and I just don't remember.'" -- former White House press secretary Scott McLellan, What Happened: Inside the Bush White House and Washington's Culture of Deception

Time to throw Scotty under the bus.

doc, I think you're violating the DR copyright protection rule by posting too much of an article.

The right can ignore this. they have nothing to lose. the people who will believe it were already not going to vote for a republican in november and we all know that there will be no fallout for the bush admin.

Scotty's next book will be about life as a detainee in gitmo. It'll be a first person account.

Rove says Scotty sounds like a liberal blogger, which, I guess, is his way of admitting we were right about Dumbya all along.

Can't wait til ol deadeye Dick Cheney writes his tell all book so I can see the right call him disgruntled too....
Bushco rule #1...always shoot the messenger.

By the way, if ya did coke, you remember. Not that I have first hand knowledge or anything...

If this Fuck doesn't remember if he ever took Cocaine, I can say without doubt the President of the United States is a fucking Idiot. If you used Cocaine you would remember. This Fuck BUSH is a fucking liar!!!

Watch the Right circle the wagons around there President an decide that Mr. McClellan is a "SNITCH". This is HISTORIC an the right will spin like hell to tell the Country don't believe what you are seeing and hearing....

I have no doubt that History will take care of this Criminal Administration, I had hoped that the Democratic Congress would start Impeachment Hearings to find if if any laws had been broken by the President and his Men....But Nancy has proven that she has NO BALLS!!!!!!

When McClellan resigned, Dubya made a big deal of how they'd spend their sunset years, sitting on the porch chewing the fat. Looks like their rocking chairs will be sitting a bit further apart than Bush suggested and Dubya will be shooting spitwads at Scotty.

LIAR IN CHIEF

And what makes you so certain, Celisary, that McClellen is telling the truth? He happens to be the one trying to make money off of a book and we all know publishers pay hefty bonuses for dirt books. For all you know Bush never said anything of the kind and Scotty never heard him say anything of the sort.

Hell, he claims in the book that he was witness to the outing of Plame when he wasn't even in the room with Rove. However, idiots like yourself will buy into this like it's all true when you have no way of knowing wether it is or not.

And you're the same people who say conservatives believe everything they hear from the right yet here you are exhibiting that exact behavior.

EVERLONG the Bush administration has been caught in so many lies that this is just confirmation of a few more. It isn't as if they have a reputation for honesty.

Ever:

So is Sweaty mcMelon lying now, when he says he was lying then?

Seems even the loyalist of Bushies need to confess now and again. McMelon is merely the latest. He won't be the last, either.

Deal with it, your man in the WH is a total fuck-up.

I really get a kick out of the "he did it for the money" spin. It's like we're supposed to believe that people who served this president have a tough time finding gainful employment in the private sector.

It's pretty lame to simply accuse McClellan (and other writers of exposes) of lying. Indeed, there are remedies - like libel - against lying in print. The righties who accuse the lefties of lying need to explain one thing: what's in it for us? herm

Same subject -- Scotty's book -- so I'm reposting this again from another thread:

On FOX news this morning they were talking about McClellan and a commentator named "Eve" made a remark about how "so many back in Texas" (meaning those who knew McClellan from the pre-Presidency days) were shocked that McClellan even got the job because "they felt he was not one of those ready for prime time players."

GOSSIP -

Then out of the clear blue Eve, the Fox commentato, drops this statement:

"There was a lot of bad blood between the President and McClellan's Mother,
a lot of bad blood and it was personal."

Whoa, that's a book right there in itself. I hung on to see what else would come out of her mouth but that was it.

commentato = commentator

It's like we're supposed to believe that people who served this president have a tough time finding gainful employment in the private sector.

McLellan could have been a loyal Bushie and made money on speaking gigs, sitting in cushy corporate board positions and running right-wing advocacy groups like Ari Fleischer is doing.

That money's got to be a lot easier than to publicly break ranks with Bush and tell his secrets.

Here's McLellan's mom:

en.wikipedia.org

Thanks, Rcade, for the link.

I could not believe that gal on FOX news this morning dropped that bombshell about Scotty's Mom and Bush having "bad blood between them and it's personal."

I'm sure some eager reporter is googling like crazy ever since she made that comment
to find out what it was all about.

Funny thing is that folks are totally oblivious and unconcerned that W was (is) such a big fucking drunk that he uses having been a big fucking drunk to defend himself from having to answer to those who suggest that he possibly might have been a substance abuser.

Booze, particularly in the amount which our deciderer-in-chief used (uses) has killed tens of thousands more Americans than Cocain.

But hey...it's legal. (Actually, not the way he admits to having used it)

If that's his best defence against charges that he is a substance abuser, well...I hope you see where this is going. Small consolation says it best

Snortn whiskey drinkin cocaine!!

From the WKIKI linked by RDACE:

"Strayhorn's first marriage was to attorney Barr McClellan, whom she divorced in 1978 during her first term as mayor. In 1983, she married Curtis H. (Hill) Rylander; that marriage ended in divorce in 1995. She married high school sweetheart Ed Strayhorn in 2003. Strayhorn told reporters that Ed Strayhorn proposed to her while both were attending the University of Texas, but her parents thought she was too young to get married."

I'm sure she's all for the 'Sanctity Of Marriage' too, with only 3 under her belt, she's only one marriage shy of one of the Senators responsible for the 'Sanctity Of Marriage' bill.

p.s. You raised one hell of a sweaty mess, lady.

i see a future for scott at cnn.

No, the funny thing is that this post is by someone who calls himself "oldwhiskeysour"!

OF COURSE OBAMA....wont bring his crack pipe to the oval office

if people were so concerned about cocaine use by the POTUS....then why is obama the lead runner for the Dem party

sounds like alot of venom on this thread

speaking of cocaine use...see 5:55 post above

"I could have passed the [FBI] background check on the standards applied on the most stringent conditions when my dad was president of the United States - a 15-year period,"

Does this sound like somebody who has nothing to hide?

"Does this sound like somebody who has nothing to hide?"

It sounds like something a Bush AG might write.

McMuffin worked in the Bush regime, says all that needs to be said about his credibility. The snippets from his book that I've read thus far all sound like they were lifted from this place...

Boom Boom! Out go the lights!

What do you think is there any chance Fox News will find someone sometime today that will find what Scott McClellan has to say in his new book News worthy??

Just curious, dropped in some of the shows today an found little about the book, what was on had 100% Administration lean!!! Every guest , everyone found problems with his loyality not about what he said but his loyality.

Bret Hume laughed when introducing the story on his show, what an Asshole!!!!, Birds coming home to roost.....

SORRY SAM.....THATS RIGHT

When a Democrat does Cocaine....Its Progressive

When a Republican does Cocaine....Its Evil

It's only evil when a Republican does something because they always criticise others for doing the EXACT SAME thing.

Larry Mohr

As I understand it, Scott descrbes Bush as being a shallow man with a starling talent for ignoring discomfirming information and cheating to get the things he wants.

In short, it's matches everything we already know about the man.

Whoa, that's a book right there in itself. I hung on to see what else would come out of her mouth but that was it.

you see chris...scotts mother went independent in the govs race because she couldnt get the support for the republican nomination. we already had that guy with the slick hair in there..........she was treated as an outcast which is a part she has sort of played all along. I am not attacking her, just telling you what she has done,.

and this cocain stuff. I would think that you lefties would celebrate his use of it....IF TRUE...isnt that the kind of thing that you guys just love for people to do.....

and why isnt there someone out there saying just what an accomplishment it is to STOP doing it...IF he ever did............but no..........that would require something GOOD said about him....

one more thing...chris...in her office of state 'money lady' she was always coming up with things that were considered outside the box and AGAIN. I make no judgement on that now....

OK BLT, I'll bite and explain it for the 1000th time. Even though I know you are just being willfully ignorant.
It's not about doing cocaine, it's about being a lier and a hypocrite. If he was man enough to admit his mistakes, as Obama has, this would not be an issue.

Rumors of Shrubbie and cocaine wow. Is this why the demonstration of a cocaine sniffing dog was canceled at the WH?

My question is this did Obama sell cocaine as well as use it?

He lived in Chicago with his poor white mother and was about to get cocaine. How did he afford it? Did he sell it to friends and others?

I think this needs to be answered before Novemeber.

Bee Swell

"He lived in Chicago with his poor white mother..."

No, he didn't nimrod.

McCLELLAN: "It appears to be more about trying to justify personal views and opinions than it does about looking at the results that we are achieving on behalf of the American people."

McClellan also took issue with the book by former Bush White House counter-terrorism czar Richard Clarke, "Against All Enemies: Inside America's War on Terror," on March 22, 2004:

McCLELLAN: Well, why, all of a sudden, if he had all these grave concerns, did he not raise these sooner? This is one-and-a-half years after he left the administration. And now, all of a sudden, he's raising these grave concerns that he claims he had. And I think you have to look at some of the facts. One, he is bringing this up in the heat of a presidential campaign. He has written a book and he certainly wants to go out there and promote that book. Certainly let's look at the politics of it. His best buddy is Rand Beers, who is the principal foreign policy advisor to Senator Kerry's campaign. The Kerry campaign went out and immediately put these comments up on their website that Mr. Clarke made. ...

Scotty, please grab a seat next to Mr. Powell and those three ex-Generals in the corner

...No, you don't have to say a word

....I SAID ZIP IT!

....Just sit there quietly and please die soon. Thanks for all yer help there, pal.

McClellan is just confirming what the last eight years has shown everybody but the remaining 28% of true believers. The Bush administration is a sleazy bunch of crooks and liars.

There's a big difference between trying drugs in high school/college and admitting it and lying about being a drunk and a cokehead when you're supposed to be a pilot in the TNG during wartime.

I guess these last eight years we should have been referring to Bush
as "snort" instead of "shrub"

"It's only evil when a Republican does something because they always criticise others for doing the EXACT SAME thing." Larry Mohr

And you don't criticize others for doing the same thing as yourself? Just look at your own criticisms at every one's opinion that you opinion doesn't agree with.

Let's hope these revelations, that everybody already knew, open the floodgates with these bastards. It's about time for these traitors to started paying.

"Bush used Coke". What's the problem? 95% of liberals used it plus Flop Ears and Gorilla Girl.

Kinda explains why his trade pact with columbia was so important, hmmmm?

Listen to them talk. Which one has all the fried brain cells?

Wonder if Obama will recall his cocaine use in the limo with the gay guy in 1999--

What's that guys name again? Sinclair?

Poor Scotty--leaves the WH with no job offers and no work for the last 18 months--had to write a book.

Hallucinated his time in the WH--AND so many gobble it up as truth.

Never question--right?

He was soaking up the power and never disagreed--only to leave and turn into a weasal for lack of better word..

"What's that guys name again? Sinclair?

Posted by MURPHY"

Yep. The guy that failed 2 polygraph tests back in March. That's him.

"Bush, similarly, has a way of falling back on the hazy memory to protect himself from potential political embarrassment," McClellan wrote, adding, "In other words, being evasive is not the same as lying in Bush's mind."

a white lie vs a black lie?

Ah...Murph...let me see if I get this right...Scotty "hallucinated" his time in the WH, but was busy "soaking up" the power and never disagreed?

Keep searching for those "better" words. Try "spin." Or better yet..."obfuscate."
