So, this answers my question on the nooner the other day. People are finding out about ol' Hagee!

He has another pastor problem. This one says the USA was founded to destroy Islam.

He called this one a great moral leader when he obtained his endorsement.

And Hagee said Hurricane Katrina was God's retribution for homosexual sin.

okay, whatever

I thought if a title went over 40 characters it was rejected. How'd ya do that ?

This in NO WAY COMPARES TO WRIGHT FOR OBAMA--!!!

He did not sit in the pews for 20 FRIGGIN YEARS!

This is a losing argument for the Dems and Keith Overbite should stop!

Because everytime he and others bring it up--they will play the tapes of Wright and Obama all over again!

It is not the same--by any stretch of the hallucination!

Murphy

These RACIST Pricks that call themselves speakers of God need to be taken out to the shed an have the shit beaten out of them. The Republician WHORES are coming home to roost. These people have no more to do with religion than the man in the moon.

The Republician party is a afront to GOD an what Jesus stood for. They have used Religion to seperate the vote totals in this Country to benefit there goals. Religion is more important than that, God didn't sacrafice his only son to benefit the Republician Party, even if the Party thinks so!!!!

Well-Celery--What was the sacrifice of Jesus supposed to be?

Murphy

What's with all the racist comments tonight, celery?

This in NO WAY COMPARES TO WRIGHT FOR OBAMA--!!!

It's a bit worse. Not just the Hagee sermon, which is horrific. Nope, McCain went out and sought this freak's endorsement. Serious judgement issue.

As was pointed out, McCain still has Parsley. More to come. . .

he hacked the gibson, sir.

Murphy-
Why do you refer to Keith Olbermann as "Keith Overbite"?

MURPHY.....You must stop sucking cock you are making no sense. I know its hard for you but try an put your Country before your Party....

Speaking of McTrollop's other Pastor, Parsley:

bravenewfilms.org

" "I'm glad to have his endorsement," he said on ABC's "This Week" in April. "I condemn remarks that are, in any way, viewed as anti- anything.""

Hem..thanks for clearing that up McBane.

What was the sacrifice of Jesus supposed to be?

Murphy

He was tried for sorcery and the jury voted for the death penalty. God's will by your logic. Seemed like a political assassination to me.

...but try an put your Country before your Party....

LOL, FF, ROTFLMAO, and any other cyberspace acronmyms denoting extreme humor! Celery -- I know you do exactly that, right? *wiping tears from my eyes*

I think the charge against Christ by the Sanhedrin was blasphemy. "Political assassination" describes it better, though.

Jesus was killed for saying the wrong things about powerful people and, worse yet, being more competent than they were.

Nulli,

yu da man!!

This is not the Wright camparison and if you fellows had an ounce of integrity--you would say so..

And Celery--get some meds man--you are beneath contempt. How can you compare Hagee to Wright??

You "must put country before party" --so you must hate Obama!

Overbite is a term of endearment Boyd--

He is a sports guy--and has no place in Politics.

And he is orange on the HDTV we bought--quite the little makeup man he pretends not to be..

McCain is going after the conservative base--as much as you might hate it.

But Obama has the problem with Wright--who will bring out his book in October--should be interesting.

And then there is the Michelle Whitey tape--

Kiss the POTUS goodbye for the Dems in November.

Go ahead and deflect all you want...rotflmo!

Murphy

Go ahead and deflect all you want...rotflmo!

Denial is so unattractive.

" How can you compare Hagee to Wright??"

Good point. Hagee is fucking insane.

Good point. Hagee is fucking insane.

So is Parsely after watching the link you posted. I'd forgotten some of his rhetoric! Wow.

I'm for his endorsement right up until I'm not.

-John 'FLIP FLOPPER' McSame

Do you always mimic the adolescent comments of Mark Levin, or is this an isolated incident?

Just when the Great One is right!

Murphy

Still waiting for Numbskull to answer the Wright question....

Murphy

"And Wright is right on--right Null?

Yes--answer that! "

Other than his idiotic comment about the govt. creating AIDS, most of his "controversial" statements were pretty much correct.

He is a sports guy--and has no place in Politics.

He has seven years' experience doing news.

Oh my lord, you're one of those...

Say, um, now that I've noticed that your comments are really nothing more than rearranged phrases from Mark Levin, Sean Hannity, and whomever else...exactly what place does Hannity have in politics as - unlike Olbermann - he has no journalistic background at all?

"He is a sports guy--and has no place in Politics."

That's pretty stupid. Ronald Reagan was a sports announcer.

Parsley's out. AP reporting.

"you're one of those..."

Two-digit IQ.

For one digit IQ or less see "nanc" or "Kareen" while such useless microbeings exist; They won't be around long.

That's pretty stupid. Ronald Reagan was a sports announcer.

You may have just proved the point.

Hey Numbskull--Reagan was Governor of CA--get real!

Murphy

Try again cupcake.

Murphy

Hey Numbskull--Reagan was Governor of CA--get real!

A job he was, in Murphy's logic, completely incapable of doing because he was a sports announcer.

"Hey Numbskull--Reagan was Governor of CA--get real!"

Hey Goofy, Reagan was a sports announcer before Governor, you ignoramous. You're are trying to make the ludicrous claim that Olbermann isn't qualified as a political commentator but another "sports guy" is qualified to be Governor. You FAIL.

"...Even though the comments about the gov. creating Aids..."

Well, actually there's a pretty good criminal trail out there to circumstantially prove that is could have happened. but big deal! it backfired

Hey Murphy:

For a Black Man (or any man)to say "GOD DAMMMMMMMN AMERICA" is no crime. Walk a day and a mile in his historic shoes and see if you ain't saying the same thing, my nigguh.

Besides, from his POV, it's true.Let's see what you're saying about America in about twenty years after the Feds have to legalize Gay Marriage because so many State Supremem Courts have blocked anti-gay marriage Ammendments. You'll be screaming the same thing from your pulpit.

So deal with it, and put your tiny little faux-patriotic anti-black pecker back in your pocket. You wave it around like that and someone's sure to snip it off with nail clippers.

exactly what place does Hannity have in politics

He was a Tin Man. (ref. Movie: Danny DeVito, etc.)

Haven't seen that on any of the news sites. Has McBush really thrown one of "America's great spirtual leaders" under the bus? That's two in one day. Add in 5 lobbyists--with 50 or so to go--it's been a good week for political purges.

Murphy got his ass kicked again. Way to go Libs!!!

Nullifidian - here's a link on Parsely:

blogs.abcnews.com

OK kids, it's time to play that special version of "What Would Reagan Do" known as "What DID Reagan Do":

Q. Too many "illegals"
A. Grant them amnesty

Q. Iran controlled by scary revolutionary Islamic fundamentalists
A. Illegally sell them arms, and then lie about any involvement; claiming, in essence, good-natured senility

Q. Iraq controlled by secular, yet brutal despot
A. Sell him arms, including those ingredients needed for battlefield bio and chem weapons

Q. What to do when said Iraq despot uses those weapons against "his own people"
A. Blame it on Iran and send Rummy over to soothe Saddam, and then sell him more weapons

.......

Thanks, Yav. McHagee may think this is the end of it, but it's not.
Why did he call Parsley one of America's great leaders in the first place? Obviously he has no judgement, as Goofy, er, Murphy would say.

"He has seven years' experience doing news."

Now that's funny.
And I flagged it.
KTRH

First Hagee, now Parsley. Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy. McCain was already on shaky ground with the Evangelicals. They won't come out in droves to vote, unless it's for Obama, who is afterall the anti-Christ. A vote for Obama will be a vote for the Rapture. Bring it on.

Not like the purge of Obama in November--!!

And you Numbskull want to compare Keith Overthehill to Ronald Reagan? BWWWWAAAAHHHHHH HA HA! (Your words) That is really too much!!

Keith doesn't have an original thought in his pinky cuticle compared to RR.. Overidiot is an idiot! Always has been..That's why 4 people watch his show--they must be you guys!

You want to discuss that moron Reagan's intellect?!?

Why did he call Parsley one of America's great leaders in the first place?

It's called sucking up for political gain.

it's been a good week for political purges.

That's what I was thinking too. Maybe the Dems will cut a deal with Rove if he hands over all his opposition research on McCain from 2000. ;_)

Okay, so it will be a brief discussion.

Numbskull --have you read anything about Reagan and history?

Hey Murphy, I'm just joking with you. I'm half Irish myself. Well, Scots-Irish.

How many lobbyist scandals and firings, Pastors thrown under the bus, dumb remarks about Iraq, flipflops, etc., before we say the McCain campaign is in full meltdown?

There may or may not be such a tape, but the fact that you believe in it so much reminds me of the type of logic used by a child who can't see past the unlikelihood of things due to blind faith ... which is actually a powerful HOPE that it is true. Tooth fairy, for example.

Murph - admit it, you WANT it to be true. It may very well be, but I have a hard time belieing it, since if it were on tape, the media would have found it, or other members of the church would have it for sale to Fox news, etc., and we would already know about it.

But, hey, you could be right, and you've got me thinking - if I should lose a tooth, I think I'll put it under my pillow. I mean, it COULD be true, right?

Keith doesn't have an original thought in his pinky cuticle compared to RR.. Overidiot is an idiot! Always has been..That's why 4 people watch his show--they must be you guys!

Another example of Murphy just making shit up and believing it. Check the ratings again.

You're making quite a fool of yourself. Nice work.

IF and I do mean IF such tape exists it would have been played all over the news by now.

Murphy, you got creamed here. Sorry. But you brought it on yourself.

I've been a Christian for 34 years, dear, and I don't detect even a shred of the Good Lord's teachings in your hateful rants. I do see a lot of party and ideology idolatry, though.

By the way, I can send you a nice essay I saved if you want that's titled "Ronnie the Rat," in which the ol' sainted one is revealed to have been a real Judas to his friends when he named scores of them (destroying their careers) in the McCarthy witch hunts of the 1950s. Was that before he was a sports announcer? Oh, yes, he also spread outright, vicious lies about political opponents when running for office in California... that's just for starters.

and you too will someday see a little less, and move your arms a little less, and worry much more about your next bowl movement than your next piece of ass and those women you oggle will be grandmas instead of prom queens......this too will happen to you, and then you wont be so prone to age discrimination..........yuk yuk

AND as the heavyset lady on cnn said last night. when they endorse people, we say it doesnt really matter, then why are we all worked up when they 'dis-endorse'people?
and of course we all know this is nothing but an attempt from the left to "JWRIGHT" mccain because tapes used by leftists at cnn in this matter were from the 90's. they had to dig to find something like this to use in retaliation.

McCain's already been JWRIGHTED, twice now. Not counting lobbyists.

The '90s were not that long ago. Most of us had come out of the Stone Age, ideologically speaking, by then.

"And then there is the Michelle Whitey tape"

Where is this tape? Put it up on Youtube or shut up about this myth.

Obama let his crazy pastor baptize his kids and lead him around the nose like a sheep for 20 years.

Actions speak louder than words.

Republican John McCain on Thursday rejected endorsements from two influential but controversial televangelists, saying there is no place for their incendiary criticisms of other faiths.

"and worry much more about your next bowl movement"

You eat that stuff?

Age discrimination?

I'll bet you and I would pay the same amount for a cup of coffee at McDonald's. I know I get a discount down at the gym.

I'd much rather have a younger, innovative, imaginative person in the presidency than a cranky old bird like McCain.

As I recall, Obama denounced Wright on national TV.

I'm thinking that as a busy politician, Obama was likely not in those particular pews on most Sundays. Sundays are for getting out and meeting people, campaigning, etc., all over the state or the nation.

So let's say McCain and Obama are about even in this category. Both had exploding preachers. Hey, a decade ago we had exploding bimbos.

Republican John McCain on Thursday rejected endorsements from two influential but controversial televangelists, saying there is no place for their incendiary criticisms of other faiths.

"rejected endorsements"

Which means he's going to lose some votes BTW.

**** McCain Rejects Hagee, Parsley Endorsements ****

......they were not Wright for him......

McBush obviously used Hagee's endorsement to pander to the Evangelicals. He was trying to use a page from Bush's playbook on how to use the Religious Sheep to win an election. Unfortunately, the electorate has wizened up at least enough to notice.

This time we are watching and since the right has tried to smear Obama with Reverend Wright's 30 second rant it was easy to pull out the insane rantings of Hagee to show that McBush has not even read what this lunatic fringe preacher of the Death Cult has been saying about he desire to bring on the End of Times.

so McBush has been forced to Flip Flop once again...when will the Dems use the same Rovian tactics against the Rethugs that they used against John Kerry and go for the throat and win this Election?

Does McCain believe Armageddon is inevitable or not? I think it is a valid question to ask someone who will control the most powerful military force on the planet.

Donnerboy keeps pretending that McCain holds the same views as Hagee, no matter how many times McCain calls his comments insane, and even after having rejected his endorsement.

By that standard, I guess it IS safe to assume that Obama is right in line with everything Wright says, considering that he let him baptize his kids and lead him around by the nose like a sheep for 20 years, only to mildy "distance" himself when the shit hit the fan.

Donnerboy keeps pretending that McCain holds the same views as Hagee, no matter how many times McCain calls his comments insane, and even after having rejected his endorsement.

I am not pretending anything. McCain is running for the most powerful office in the land. I am not and I know EXACTLY what Hagee and is ilk stand for.

Why did McCain seek his endorsement and then when everyone NOTICE then he was FORCED to FLIP FLOP?

Why... doe he BELIEVE or NOT?

It is a valid question. As striving for Armageddon does not make a very good foreign policy as we have all witnessed the last 8 years.

doe=does

I think it should be pre-requisite for a presidential candidate to answer in the negative...

Otherwise you get jerks chalking stuff up to end times prophecy....

Just like its foolish to vote for people who say that government is the problem. It's a self fulfilling prophecy.

exactly hag! you got it! A+, happy face!

Which is why it is a valid question and why religion is such an issue these days. It is that thing that cannot be spoken. But needs to be.

Science has a term for it... it is called the Expectancy Factor.

It is that thing that cannot be spoken. But needs to be.

DB, I think the reason for that is just like other issues... when a position is held by the fringe of a group, even when the majority of that group don't believe it, they are hesitant to criticize the ones that do.... I think out of fear that they might be wrong about their own wingnuts.

It's why we still have polygamists out west in the FLDS... Mainstream mormons know that the prohibition on celestial marriage was a compromise in order for Utah to get statehood, and in the back of their minds they know that it is still a commandment from their prophet.

"Why did McCain seek his endorsement"
--DONNERBOY

Republicans needing evangelical votes is a political reality. (duh) Nevermind that he just rejected two influential evangelical leaders, which will make it that much tougher for him in Nov.

"Why... doe he BELIEVE or NOT?"

Maybe if McCain rejects the comments and endorsements a few hundred more times you'll hear the answer.

"It is a valid question."

That has already been answered.

"That has already been answered."

No, it hasn't. Certainly not directly.

Also, he can't have it both ways: if McCain claims actively seeking the endorsements don't speak for his views, the rejections by themselves don't answer DB's question.

That has already been answered.

Posted by LIVE_OR_DIE at 2008-05-23 02:05 PM

actually not.

Both candidates now profess that they are "Christian" and as such believe in the coming of the Messiah. Now Hagee and his type like to really ham it up with fire and brimstone and the End of Days but they ALL believe in the Rapture in some form or another and Armageddon plays a role in there somehow.

Both should address the issue and clear it up since they have made an issue out of it and it is such a big issue today and could play a role in foreign policy decisions.

I don't think either candidate has done anything to indicate that they are actively seeking Armageddon (in a religious sense, anyway). McCain's rejection of both Hagee's endorsement and comments speak to that, and (maybe I'm wrong) it doesn't seem to be a centerpiece of Trinity's message.

"McCain's rejection of both Hagee's endorsement and comments speak to that"

Where, specifically, when the subject is Armageddon? All I saw was his rejection of denigration of other faiths.

Do you not know anything about Christianity? It is an underlying tenet of all Christian Faith that the Rapture will come! Some Sects are more fervent about it than others especially the Evangelicals. McBush in particular needs to answer up as he will be continuing Bush's policy of trying to End the World in the Middle East as prophesy requires.

"Some Sects are more fervent about it than others"
--DONNERBOY

Exactly.

And it should be encouraging that the candidate for the party that would normally have to pander to this kind of crap is now rejecting the leaders of said more fervernt sects, and that the other candidate never sought their approval to begin with.

BTW, I still think McCain's a shit ball and I'm not voting for him.

because he is a Flip Flopper? or because he is just a McBush and it will just be a continuation of Bush's policies should the Democrats manage to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?

Because the GOP needs to be wiped out and rebuilt, and because I think he just "might" be crazy enough to start a war in Iran.

I might've given him the benefit of the doubt, but then he started singing and dancing like a crazy little leprechaun.

McCain's got a nose for power, it's his predilection. John Hagee is flush with the sort of power McCain lustfully sniffs out and Hagee has come by that power the good old fashioned way - he's earned it by building up a huge flock of pseudo-Israelites at Cornerstone (which is organized into 12 subdivisions each named for one of the Tribes of Israel, as if Hagee fancies himself Moses - Joe Lieberman has in fact compared Hagee to Moses), erecting his own broadcast network (no self-respecting word-faith preacher is without one), then building his own personal political machine, CUFI, which in its own fashion could be likened to this decades' answer to the Moral Majority of the 1980's or the Christian Coalition of the 1990's except that CUFI is, as an innovation, quite unique ; it's the first non-lobbying lobby group (CUFI, a nonprofit, merely teaches its members to lobby) organized to foment war and reduce large swaths of the Mideast to vitrified glass in order for the Christian Zionist fundamentalist Christian faithful to be vacuumed up to heaven with God's mighty hoover which has an "on" switch called The Apocalypse (sometimes the Tribulation too) and an "off" switch called "Mideast peace".

we see that mccain has lost the endorsement of hagee and most likely that of parsely because he came out with statements against these pastors and thier comments...showing more balls than obama ever will because he knows he is at risk of throwing thier supporters to barr or barr/paul and losing the election. too bad barrywayne hussein has to get approval from some leftwing group before he makes these kinds of denouncements from people.

and this same report said that jews are democrats by a 60 to 40 margin and I think they are nuts as well for supporting a party that has people in it who would love to see israel disappear.

Let's dissect your post:

"we see that mccain has lost the endorsement of hagee and most likely that of parsely because he came out with statements against these pastors and thier comments.."

McCain made these comments YEARS ago and THEN accepted their endorsements. Sounds like a man with few principles. BASH, Accpet endorsement, then BASH again. FLIP FLOPPER?

"and this same report said that jews are democrats by a 60 to 40 margin and I think they are nuts as well for supporting a party that has people in it who would love to see israel disappear."

Hagee only supports Israel because he has said he wants BIG (or was it large) Armies to march on Israel to invoke the Apocalypse. He mentions Iran & Russia fighting the US in Israel to invoke the end of the world. Hagee is looking to see the end of the world? Doesn't really seem like a well balanced individual in that he wants all mankind to end. If Hagee wants to die, he should accelerate the process on his own. Leave me out of it.

* Correction: Substitute 'Armageddon' for Apocalypse in my last post.

Wow, great comments, Northguy and Commonsense.

I've been a Christian a long time, and I strongly think Hagee (and his type) is both nuts and evil. Just my opinion.

Lots of false prophets were foretold to lead the faithful astray. I believe it's God's move to end the world whenever, and I deeply resent those who hijack scripture and turn it to their own ends, especially when it involves the gruesome loss of so many lives, and the fomenting of war and hatred. That smacks of being anti-Christian.

"...an 'off' switch called Mideast peace." Classic!!!

"Leave me out of it." Right on!!!!! Bingo!!!! We have a winner!!!!

"By their fruits ye shall know them." What fruits do we have here? Mass death and misery? Escalation of hatreds? Causing "weaker brothers" to stumble and sin?

Where's the love? That was the great commandment Christ gave us. Even to love our enemies, and pray for them. Where are those fruits? Where is peace? Where is reconciliation? Where are those sweet fruits? There are only bitter ones. Taste for yourself.

"...and this same report said that jews are democrats by a 60 to 40 margin and I think they are nuts as well for supporting a party that has people in it who would love to see israel disappear."

At first I thought this was the usual BLT on wry, talking out of his ass. Jews want to see Israel disappear? Then on closer reading I see "has people in it who." I presume there are people who want to see Israel disappear in the Republicans, Libertarians, Episcopalians, PETA and Kankakee Coin and Stamp Club. Do BLT, 101, RisR, Vernon, Oorah and all check the same talking points each morning? herm
