Barack Obama collected the support of four of John Edwards' Democratic National Convention delegates on Thursday, then gained the backing of a West Coast congressman and a large labor union as he marched steadily toward the party's presidential nomination. Obama's overall delegate total is 1,896, compared to 1,718 for Hillary Clinton. It takes 2,026 to clinch the nomination.

That's funny, Waffles.

Incidentally, where is "You Know Who" today? I'm surprised that he/she/it isn't here to explain how Hil's late surge in the "bumfuck red states" is going to sweep her into the nomination. Could it be, possibly, that Cor -- er, I mean -- "You Know Who" has finally resigned (his)(her)(its)self to the likelihood of Obama's success?

You talking about Lord Voldemort?

What do people think of an Obama/Edwards ticket?

What do people think of an Obama/Edwards ticket?

Are there any people here?

Seriously, I think I'd prefer something like Obama/Richardson or Obama/Biden. I like Edwards, but I think he still carries the baggage of the loss 4 years ago.

how much was Edwards campaign in the hole? was it? be interesting to know.

HOW ABOUT OBAMA/DON KING TICKET????

HOW ABOUT OBAMA/DON KING TICKET????

"What do people think of an Obama/Edwards ticket?"

Won't work.

Obama needs an older guy, while McCain needs a younger one.

"HOW ABOUT OBAMA/DON KING TICKET????"

That wouldn't work either.

King would never accept 2nd billing.

4 delegates?

Wow, Edwards sucked harder than I thought.

Obama should be like..."boy, get your weak white ass out of here, if you can't come strong,, don't come at all! Weak ass white clingly mother fucker"

Hey I ain't into Boxing I find it barbaric. That being said don't they announce the fighters name first then their sponsor/trainer second?? Besides isn't Don King a Bushite??

Obama and dipshit Wright, with his scumbag wife as secdef.

cnn is reporting 8 now

:-P

This does not surprise me - the Dems seems to flock to losers like Pelosi and Reid. This is just the latest installment of "The Surefire way to Lose an Election"....why can't they nominate a candidate that can actually win the election? It is gonna suck to say President McCain for the next 4 years....

why can't they nominate a candidate that can actually win the election?

They are going to - so long as Hillary gets out of the way in time.

"They are going to - so long as Hillary gets out of the way in time."

Blaming Hillary for Obama losing the election is just plain out funny. If anything, she has helped Obama so that some of these stories get aired in the press earlier. Imagine if the Republicans had pulled out the Wright tapes a week before the general....

Obama WILL lose - not because of Hillary, but because he is an empty suit that has shown poor decision making in his public statements and choice of friends.

How about a McCain/Professor Irwin Corey ticket?

No, I didn't say I was blaming Hillary for Obama Losing the election, JStrap (it's in November, by the way). I just blame her for dragging it out and bringing a creepy racism into the campaign to try to demean him.

He will win.

"Empty suit", "Wet behind the ears" Nonsense.

Maybe. But, with friends like Charles Keating, I don't think McCain should be pointing too many fingers.

Clinton was pretty young, and Gore wasn't much different in age, and they both came from the South. So, what part of that equation do the democrats need? South? Military experience or a lot of foreign policy stuff. Biden would be a good choice for Secretary of State. If Barack was smart he'd have his "dream cabinet" out pretty soon. Or does he wait until after the whole vice-president thing is settled? Rambling on, sorry.
