Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

The Rev. Al Sharpton has emerged over the past decade as perhaps the nation's most prominent civil rights leader, a status that was demonstrated again this week when he led protests against police brutality that briefly shut down six of Manhattan's major bridges and tunnels. But he still carries baggage from his early days as a fire-breathing agitator: Government records obtained by The Associated Press indicate that Sharpton and his business entities owe nearly $1.5 million in overdue taxes and associated penalties.

Taxes evasion gets even the very slipperiest, and Al is just that.

Wesley Snipes would like to know, then, why the hell Al Sharpton's not in jail.

RiR

IMO the simple answer is Wesley actually worked for a living and his sources of revenue were more straight forward.

"I think that the good Reverend Sharpton is a victim of faulty bookkeeping, combined with an overzealous Internal Revenue Service as well as an ingrained racist societal attitude fostered by years of Caucasion arrogance.

And no nobody manips nates me!

Greenspan Admits Fed Is Not Beholden To Any Government Agency

This week, former chairman of the Fed Reserve Alan Greenspan in an interview aired on PBS' News Hour was asked by Jim Lehrer what should be the proper relationship between a chairman of the Fed and The President of the United States. In a shockingly honest tone Greenspan replies,

"Well, first of all, the Federal Reserve is an independent agency, and that means, basically, that there is no other agency of government which can overrule actions that we take. So long as that is in place and there is no evidence that the administration or the Congress or anybody else is requesting that we do things other than what we think is the appropriate thing, then what the relationships are don't, frankly, matter."

This issue with the Fed being above government is one of the key things We The People need to understand in order to wake up to the awful situation that we have found ourselves in. Our wealth, our labor, and anything we gain buy being productive has been stolen from us since the Federal Reserve took over our money system in the 1913.

& who is are they (Wesley, Al & Franken) going to support for PREZ?:>)

To quote someone..."Praise the Lord" Al's going down.

To quote someone..."Praise the Lord" Al's going down.

Yea probably, but don't count on it being this time..

You mean Al Sharptongue owes the government taxes?
Who'd a thunk it. How are the welfare programs going to get paid for without his tax money?

Maybe he should vote for McCain so his taxes don't get raised. I mean if he can't pay them now how is he gonna pay when Obama raises taxes on the richest one percent of american who don't need the money anyway.

Meet me in Denver for OPERATION CLUSTERFUCK

Not paying is a civil matter, not criminal.

It is racist to point out the Al Sharpton owes taxes.

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH good one......

Good send him to jail! 1.5 million in back taxes.... He could be a cell mate with Wesley Snipes!

THAT WILL SHUT HIM UP FOR A LONG WHILE....THANKS

Don't worry about agitators. They are wooed by the government.

This housing bailout bill contains provision for huge amounts of money going to the Urban League, a semi-respectable organization, But why do the feds fund them. And another recipient is none other than the organization that is pushing for Aztlan and the Reconquista of the Southwestern United States as a start, La Raza. Certainly La Raza is a deserving group for the U.S. taxpayers to support.

So if the Urban League and La Raza get money, why not Rev. Al. When I send in my quarterly checks in to the feds, I am so delighted to know that these worthy causes benefit from distribution of funds exacted from me.

How much are these groups getting, $1,000,000,000. Naw, not quite that much.

I wonder where I put my bullhorn and backwards collar. This working for a living is for the birds. I'll need to figure out who gets what, so that I can board the right gravy train. I may polish up my Spanish and get my Mexican flag. One may be available for sale cheap in Idaho.

Isn't this a wonderful country we live in that demonstrates such largesse to the needy. Rev. Al is needy. He's in debt. Is he living the life of a pauper? Or is he living "on the come?"

Maybe when Obama gets in and begins his distributions to worthy agitators of which he was one, he'll give them "real" money. AFter all, Obama got his start as an Alinsky street agitator. Maybe these groups should be tax exempt, so people like Rev. Al don't get messed up owing taxes.

Shakedown is the game, except that if your mob is in doing the collections and making the distributions, you're "legit." Sorry suckers. I'm one of you.

Oh, one thing. Comes the revolution, we may not need to all eat borscht anymore. It's a domestic thing. It'll be chitlins and tamales, or for the more sophisticated, greens and chicken adobo. Oh well. To the victor goes the spoils. Pass the beano. Pass the Alka Seltzer.

pass on the Johnsons?

Alinsky's crimes?

"Alinsky spends a lot of time critiquing the idea that "The end does not justify the means." What end? What means? He feels that there are circumstances where one can and should use means that in other circumstances would be unethical. I am not sure I agree, but Alinsky certainly speaks with the voice of experience."

Timing is suspect. When he gets "active", so does the justice dept.

Throw his sorry ass in jail for a few years so he has time to think about it.

If this guy were not the frequent guest of the likes of Bill O'Reilly & Lou Dobbs, he would have little or no influence on anyone. He gets more of his message out through those that profess to oppose his views than from those who advocate them.

Should we bother with a trial?

With your ilk it must be asked.

Hell ya, give the gentelman a fair trial and then throw his guilty ass in jail.

How can a man like that expect his following to stay out of the poor house if he doesn't pay his taxes? Doesn't he realize that is where all thoes free government handouts come from?

You lefties like to spend the tax money and think the rich should be taxed the most so what's with leting some rich dude not pay?

Snippy, you never fail to impress.

"...You lefties like to spend the tax money and think the rich should be taxed the most so what's with leting some rich dude not pay? - Posted by Sniper..."

This coming from the guy who supports a president and administration that has created the largest DEBT in world history. And the largest Expansion of Government.

To answer the question: Yes Snipling; We tax the rich at higher rates than the poor. The rich have more money and make more money and should be taxed accordinglyto. The poor don't have any money to be taxed.

Don't you get it? Unless you're a dumb fuck who thinks Infrastructure grows on trees or is created by god's Magic Wand.

Naw...We'll just vote in another fucking Republican who'll steal 98% of Americans Blind, enrich himmself and his friends, and send YOUR children into war zones without proper equipment.

That's what we need!

And no nobody manips nates me!--Tawana Brawley"

Sounds remarkably like GW Bush talking!

I'm glad you like it.

Why? 'cause fraud, cheating and thievery is the American Way?
