Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Her voice raspy, her tone determined, Hillary Rodham Clinton urged her supporters Thursday to ignore the political pundits who have declared her toast. "A lot of you have stuck with me. You've been through all the ups and downs in this campaign, the biggest victories and toughest moments," Clinton said. "I think it is because you understand that you've got to have a president who gets up every day and fights for you, who never gives up on you."

This dammed bitch reminds me of my ex-mother in law!

Apparently Corky is hearing that call loud and clear.

Clinton advisers said they were looking for opportunities to save money on campaign events in the coming primary states of West Virginia, Kentucky and Oregon. The advisers said events would be more frill-free, but they also said that the campaign was likely to go deeper into debt to vendors who design and produce her events.

I hope she never plans on running again if the way she runs her campaign is any indication of how she would run the country.

Dontcha know the Clinton's are entitled. Which further translates to Dems have always thought THEY are entitled too. With the fuck up Bush is....if the Dem party doesn't landslide they are fucked too (the reality is both parties are fuck ups).

Vote Ron Paul and buy his new book........WAKE UP AMERICA!

She should keep running and bringing Obama down to size. Obama gives a good speach, but that's it. He's not a uniter, he has shown no evidence that he ever reached out to republicans or white folks. He wants to surrender in Iraq, beg Iran for talks, raise taxes, and create more stupid lib programs. He would make Jimmy Carter look like a good president.

I don't have a problem with Hillary continuing and don't have a problem with SDs from states that haven't voted yet not publicly declaring.

What I do have a problem is how KKKlinton is carrying out her campaign, suggesting that her white supporters are racists wo won't vote for Obama and making the case that the black vote can be taken for granted.

Clinton claims she is the stronger candidate who can beat McCain. Yeah, maybe that is why she can't beat a supposed weakling like Obama. She says she has a broader coalition, yeah, maybe that is why she keeps losign in state after state and why she is behind in pledged delegates, and son probably SDs. How this woman can be considered a credible presidential candidate when she says such nonsense is beyond me. Maybe the supposedly pro-Obama media is not so pro-Obama, otherwise seh would have been laughed out of town already.

he has shown no evidence that he ever reached out to republicans or white folks.

If Obama is such a week candidate, how do you explain that after Wright-gate, bitter-gate, and the Gas tax controversy (which helped) he is still winning and still ahead and still attracting SDs and money? The Clintons are trying to make people believe that he is a weakling and apparently some people are buying it, but not many.

There is a reason for everything, including Hillary staying in the race. Those calling for her to step down are those who are afraid he will make another rookie gaffe before he can actually win.

Yeah, but she still rejected the Michigan delegate plan. Typical Hilalry, talking out of both sides of her ass.

As opposed to her rookie gaffe, of saying white voters prefer her over Obama.

Serious question for you Corky... Are you a part of the Clinton campaign team?

I ask because you seem too pro Clinton to not be a campaign operative.

I think you ask because it is a way to try to denigrate my opinions. Sorry, didn't work.

Why should GWB reach out to black people. They didn't vote fort him so fuck em

No, that's not the case. I ask because I really do wonder.

I suspect there are operatives from both campaigns, as well as both parties that post on this, and other blogs.

I respect that you like Clinton, I did to a certain extent early on.

Let's call this what it is. An effort to bully her way into the vice-presidency.

It's the same game Chucklehead played. Now conveniently you see him posing for photos with John McCain.

I suspect that any campaign would laugh at the idea of spending money on this small a blog.

Tim Russert: I talked to a lot of active Clinton supporters and I asked them what they thought. Based on my reporting, what I learned was I could not find an objective Democrat who did not think the race was over that Barack Obama would be the Democratic nominee.

I think any campaign that ignores what's going on in the blogs, would be incredibly stupid.

Having one or two people surfing and commenting in the different blogs, wouldn't cost that much.

I'd bet money that there are posters here and on other blogs, that are paid by the campaigns.

The Clinton's have spent 16 years putting this apparatus together. It's their party. They're not about to give up now.

From Pirate's article:

"Painful period for Clinton campaign
Obama-Clinton ticket would have swing state difficulties"

Obama can demonstrate judgement again by not putting Hillary on the ticket. If he wants to put a Hillary supporter, someone who would bring in her voters, fine, but putting Hillary in there would be a disaster.

OK, this is a large blog. A huge one! Almost as big as Obama's ego. Happy now, twit? I mean, I understand it doesn't take much.

Bully her way into the vice-presidency ?

Not an easy issue to finesse. But given the Clinton reputation would you like to have them lined up behind you in the WH ?

Great cartoons.

Hillary = queen of the entitlement class.

This is just another test-ballon (remember those from bill presidency?). All the 'victims' or our modern times will flock to her as she pursues her own agenda - the self aggrandisement of Hillary. She will say all the things they want to hear and push policies that put off the inevitable - the fact that someone somewhere has to pay for those entitlements.

Bill was lucky, he was president during the internet build-up and had a nice budget surplus to work with. Bush also had the same budget surplus to work with, so we can see the difference an individual can make in the office. We can also see the difference an agenda driven VP can make, aka Cheney-satan or Billary, no difference.

I think Bush has done way too much for black people to pander to them.

He appointed a black person to the USSC. He could have appointed a more experienced judge but he got the nod because he was black.

Hmmm... Colin Powell and Rice both had important positions in Bush administration. Then we can talk about the AIDS relief to Africa and the most entitlements for the poor EVER. All this is pandering and should never had been done.

Why quit? There is not yet a winner...Dems always duck fights...I gotta give her credit for not doing that!

Shucks Reagan58, I didn't mean to omit the attribution. Sorry.

Tiny,

That's disturbing on so many levels that I'd not even know where to begin to elucidate on it.

Corky, you've fought the good fight.

You represent the powers of good against evil incarnate, Obama.

What's the refrain? If it hadn't been for bad luck, wouldn't have had no luck at all. It was only a matter of time before the blacks and limousine liberals took over the Democrsat Party. Nows the time for all blue collar guys, Hispanics, and productive people rather than "thinkers" to march under the Republican banner. We need a populist rather than a McCain. After four years of the pencil-necked extreme lefty, who cannot effect change, the realization that pontification doesn't produce utilizable energy will finally filter through.

Economic problems don't affect the limousine liberals as much as they do working people as the limousiners have more income. So they are inured against economic realities that earlier affect hard-working folks striving to keep their heads above water.

And for the Democrat welfare constituency, well if inflation doesn't reduce the value of their "grants," then those folks don't suffer a change in status, and there never was any "pride" among them in self-sufficiency.

Read Obama's website and see what these people are hoping to secure as governmental policy.

2209. The new 2025.

Nope, the new 2025 is still 2025. Sorry.

Leeatwater,

I'm no fan of Billary's, that's for damn sure. However, this hysteria by Obombites to short-cut the process shows a lack of confidence which is quite troubling....if you want him to win.

Everybody agreed to the rules. STick to them like a grown-up would, and beat her fair and square...It shouldn't have been difficult, if he'd bothered to have any issue ideas different from hers. He took the safe route, copied her positions, and relied on his blackness, youth, and smarminess to win over the "inexperienced" voters. THat's fine, but it hasn't been enough to win the nomination yet. Own up, and keep working, instead of looking weak by whining to move the finish line forward because you're afraid you might not be able to finish.

It is the pendulum now attempting to swing too far to the left in correction of it's recent too far right swing.

I mean, it would have been OK with me for Ted Kennedy or John Kerry or Tom Daschle to be President, but living out their lost Presidential fantasies thru someone who has as much chance of losing big as does Obama?

More selfish than good for the Party.

Bubba was correct early on. Obama is a fine Dem and a good politician, and may even win and be a good President.

But on paper he is a GOP wet dream candidate, better for them than Hillary even. He's a candidate who will not win a close 50-50 race with McCain as HRC would, but who will either blow McCain out, or become the next McGovern-Dukakis blow out himself.

As Bubba noted, it's a roll of the dice.

And an unnecessary one at that. But one the far left is willing to take to satisfy their egos.

Source for Johnson's list: Michael Savage Legal Defense Fund.

Yup, I'd posted a simplified version first, prior to providing a link to the scarier list on Obama's site.
www.barackobama.com It's simlar to inoculating someone against a disease. First the abstract and then nitty gritty of what Obama proposes.

Obama throws money at everything. He wants to use failed educational programs without acknowledging that you cannot educate a person subject to inherited limitations to the same level as one who has greater intelligence. This leveling doesn't work.

Blacks function at an 85 reading worldwide compared to East Asians at 106, was it? Trying to equalize results, and affixing blame on the school system or teachers is an idiot's exercise, except as a PR effort.

That's not to deny individual differences within groups so that there is an overlap between members of one group and members of another. Obama may be more intelligent than McCain, or Gore, or Kerry (not necessarily saying much), but group capabilities are not equivalent, and misuse of money pursuant to the fiction that equal accomplishment can be achieved, is not prudent use of funds.

Also, the continuation of black preference that Obama promises does not affect limousine liberals, but does affect those less competent competing on the margins for available slots that will enable them to advance themselves. This promise of special programs for black preference in college admissions, setasides for business, setaside employment slots, and the like, er, and "welfare," government grant preferences, may not sit too well with suffering blue collar workers, who may be alienated by the bigotry that fosters the discrimination that Obama advocates.

Self-flagellation is a liberal pastime. But liberals have surrogates for this self-inflicrted ordeal, lower class whites who the liberals seem to find particularly distasteful and from whom they are alienated and distance themselves, and try to harm through unequal treatment.

New liberal motto: Make life more difficult for a poor white. Poor white's deserve pain. Have I hurt a poor white today?

See what I mean? Disagree with PC Police around here and one is "rabid".

At what point in my post did I make any argument having anything to do with "PC"?

The deflection is strong within you.

Wow, Sheepfucker Johnson is really riding the crazy train today, aw hell, pretty much every day.

Maybe Johnson isn't a "poor white". Ya think?

Johnson is proof that racism is alive and well here in the US of A. Yee Ha!!!

"That would explain Rush Limbaugh's attempts to help Hillary."

Danni,

exactly...Rush isn't trying to help Hillary win, just stay in it as long as possible...the longer this cluster F of a nomination process takes, the weaker she is making him for the General Election. At least that's the thinking behind it.

Posted by Reagan58 at 2008-05-09 12:07 PM

Wow, Sheepfucker Johnson is really riding the crazy train today, aw hell, pretty much every day.

Shucks, Reagan58, I ain't never fucked no sheep. I just wanted to help out a fellow who was interested in pigfucking by providing some observations to enlighten a city fellow not acquainted with country ways.

We didn't even raise sheep. Them folks is in Montana, and Nevada mainly, and what have you. Even parts of Idaho.

There are those folks who do have explicated opinions, and those folks who don't. Heck Reagan58, you sound like a critic, who has no statement of his own to make, just comment on the opinions of others without letting anyone know why you approve or disapprove.

If you care to do so, why don't we have a statement from you on about what aspect of Obama's platform attracts you, and why. What's the outcome of implementation. So many schemes are fraught with unanticipated and often unwelcome consequences, such as the "corn for oil" program. Ethanol fuels starvation?

So, do you have an actual opinion on anything Reagan58, or do you want to be a parasite hitchhiking on the statements of others?

Posted by danni at 2008-05-09 12:25 PM

Johnson is proof that racism is alive and well here in the US of A. Yee Ha!!!

Well danni, it depends on the definition of "racism." If racism takes account of evolutionary theory, then it is inevitable that clusters of people living in and adapting to different areas will develop dissimilarly.

Or do you reject evolutionary theory? Possibly, since its consequence doesn't conform to your view of the world, you may adapt irrational opinions.

I certainly am not a bigot because I would and do treat each individual person in my society the same without discriminating on the basis of race. I would provide him with the same rights, privileges, and opportunies. Would you? I don't discriminate against individuals because of their race or ethnicity, nor do I advocate such discrimination.

Or would you have recourse to racial and ethnic preferences as a basis for discrimination? If you do that you are a racist bigot since you award or create a detriment for an individual person because of race or ethnicity.

Do you consider yourself to be a racist bigot, danni? Why or why not? Reform your bigoted ways.

Kennedy: No veep slot for Clinton

It's fun to think about, but there are so many obstacles, and Ted Kennedy isn't buying, he said on Bloomberg Television's "Political Capital With Al Hunt," which airs this weekend.

"I don't think it's possible," he told Hunt of the joint ticket, continuing that:

Obama should choose a running mate who "is in tune with his appeal for the nobler aspirations of the American people," Kennedy said. "If we had real leadership -- as we do with Barack Obama -- in the No. 2 spot as well, it'd be enormously helpful."

Obama picks up 9 superdelegates, union endorsement

WASHINGTON - Barack Obama all but erased Hillary Rodham Clinton's once-imposing lead among national convention superdelegates on Friday and won fresh labor backing as elements of the Democratic Party began coalescing around the Illinois senator for the fall campaign.

Obama picked up the backing of nine superdelegates, including Rep. Donald Payne of New Jersey, a member of the Congressional Black Caucus who had been a Clinton supporter.

In addition, the American Federation of Government Employees announced its support for Obama. The union claims about 600,000 members who work in the federal and Washington, D.C., governments.

Clinton also gained a superdelegate.

The developments left the former first lady with 271.5 superdelegates, to 271 for Obama. Little more than four months ago, on the eve of the primary season, she held a lead of 169-63.
