Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Barack Obama resoundingly won in the North Carolina primary Tuesday night and declared he was closing in on the Democratic presidential nomination. Hillary Rodham Clinton apparently eked out a win in Indiana as she struggled to halt her rival's march into history, NBC News projected. "Tonight we stand less than 200 delegates away from securing the Democratic nomination for president of the United States," Obama told a raucous rally in Raleigh, N.C.

GOBAMA!

It's the war-conomy, dumbass.

Fox news calls NC for Barack.

Obama projected to win NC.

A lot of Rush Limbaugh voters voting for Hillary in Indiana, Rush Limbaugh might win the Indiana primary. Stay tuned.

If this result holds it proves that Obama can take anything that the Clintons can throw at him and still remain strong. If Obama can consistently remain strong against the Clintons, he will do fine agains the Repug machine.

Obama will be the next president and the democratic party needs to clean house.

Finita della commedia for Hillary. Go gently, for the sake of the Party.

but he lost the other one by quite a margin.

A lot of Rush Limbaugh voters voting for Hillary in Indiana

You crack me up, Member.

NC is Jesse Helms country, the Dem primary goes to Obama, and your storyline is Clinton's pulling the ugly right?

If Indiana stays in the Clinton Camp (which it likely will), we're probably in this thing till June.

I just hope it can be decided before the convention. A contentious convention is all the democrats really need to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

North Carolina doesn't count. Jeeeeeze!!

**Corky Rhodam Clinton

There's a reason why calling someone a Hoosier is an insult in Saint Louis. I see Clinton is up to 56% there. Those pikers really sucked up to that 18 cents a gallon, huh?

Let me figure this out.

Here is some census information for North Carolina.

Since blacks are overwhelmingly registered Democrats, an d the percentage of blacks in the North Carolina population is,

Black persons, percent, 2006, 21.7%,

Then it seems that with some 42% +/- of registered Democrats black, and their proclivity toward voting based on race, that the outcome in North Carolina would not be in doubt.

That some posters see the outcome as "remarkable" and indicative of some trend is not surprising as Obama supporters keep whistling as they walk past the graveyard, which is his inability to get "good old boys," working class whites, to vote for him. After all, a fellow who speaks ill of gun racks certainly is not fit to even run for the presidency. Damned pencil-necked racist weenie ain't never done a day of real work in his life.

But his elitist momma supported him on food stamps provided by hard-working poor white people to a deliberately indigent woman, who had no pride and allowed herself to be supported by the labors of others while she attended college, rather than working and supporting herself and her children. Shameless parasitical leach.

What a family tradition.

Nah. Indiana was one of the big KKK states, and their voting patterns reflect deep-seated values.

OPERATION CHAOS. I VOTED FOR THE WITCH IN INDIANA.
SHE NEEDS TO THANK ME....

HUSSEIN TAKES N.C JUST LIKE BABA PREDICTED HUSSEIN ONLY WINS IN STATES WITH BLACK MAJORITY OR IDIOTS.

END OF THE "DEMOCRAP PARTYING'

AT LEAST OLDERMAN AND MATHEWS ARE HAVING ORGASMS AS THE RESULT OF THIS N.C ...

Obama up 30 points in NC with about 9% reporting.

Clinton up 10 points in Indiana with about 46% reporting.

Fox News will not call Indiana cause the big african american precincts are yet to give results. Clinton's numbers have dropped as more numbers have been counted, from 58/42 early on to 55/45 right now.

CMSAIR - NC has a 30% black population moron, hardly a majority. As far as the idiots demographic, Hillary has that tied up. The upper class, educated, informed folks vote Obama.

""Indiana was one of the big KKK states, and their voting patterns reflect deep-seated values."

That is exactly right - whites that vote for Hillary are disgusting racists bastards. Meanwhile, the 92%+ black support for Obama is simply people wanting change....

Obama could actually win the general if 50% of the US population was black...too bad (for him) that it is not....

Come on lefties, put on your "Depends" now as a precautionary matter, because you'll probably need them before the night is over.

Celebrate in haste, mourn in leisure.

If St. Louis is so close, 52% for Ms Hillary, imagine what those suburban and rural areas will do. I heard that the first two reporting precincts were 60%-40%, and 62%-38%, for Ms Hillary.

It'll be interesting. If I were a headline writer and Obama doesn't carry Indiana, my headline would be "Obama bombs." But even though he is dark, he is the fair-haired boy of the media elites, and the depiction will not be adverse or demeaning to him regardless of the outcome.

I'm beginning to respect Hillary more and more. She's a tough old bird, and a fighter. Even though battered, she's out there for the next round and making a comeback. If the superdelegates think Obama will not have coattails, but instead be an anchor, his destiny is in the balance. One thing a pol will never do is anything that would lose him his office. A politician without an office, is a mendicant no longer patronized by toadies.

The White House is McCain's in November, and it doesn't matter who else wins what state.

If Barack can keep his lead in NC to double digits and reduce her lead in Indiana to below double digits then the Superdels will topple like dominos towards Barack in the next couple of days. JMHO.

As far as the idiots demographic, Hillary has that tied up. The upper class, educated, informed folks vote Obama. -- LBD

The rich vote Obama, and working class Dems are idiots?

Ever notice that latte liberals sound a lot like Republicans?

Littlebrit, since the blacks are overwhelming Democrat voters, double the percentage of blacks as a percentage of voters in the Democrat Party primary.

Just curious Littlebrit. what is the "promise" of Obama to "[t]he upper class, educated, informed folks ...?"

Sounds sort of elitist, but these folk are voting against their interests (not too bright), and in favor of a man entrenched in a black racist, black separatist, hate-America, hate-whitey movement for 20, or so, years, a paranoid movement that believed that America created the AIDS virus to kill blacks. Great recommendations on his "curriculum vitae."

Some "non-elitist dummies" are smart enough to recognize who is playing them. These elitists are "breathing their own ether," and confusing their abstract view of the world with reality.

Hey Littlebrit, here in the U.S., every "despised dummy" has the same vote as an elitist. It's not like GB was, where a university guy and some other classes, had two votes.

Ever notice that latte liberals sound a lot like Republicans?

Actually the correct terminolgy there is "Wine Dems" as opposed to the "Beer Dems" that Hillariousness ClintCo so shamelessly and cynically panders to.

She offers to bribe them with their own money, talks shit about Obama like a right wing radio host, and pretends to be "one with the people" when in reality she's more of an elitist than McCain.

Her backers are some of the worst corporate monopolies in the country. She's part of the whole Nafta, Cafta, GATT outsourcing crowd and she pretends to be the opposite.

She's changes her accent to match up with where ever her schedule puts her and always claims to have a solid connection with wotever state she's trying to suck into her bald faced lies.

She's as inauthentic, disingenuous and down-right cynical as they come.

She's Rethuglican Lite in Dem's clothing.

Do. Not. Want.

Be Well.

/Of course she doesn't talk shit about gays and immigrants the way R-tards do, so yer comparison are somewot lacking.

Right. The professional pols will salivate all over themselves to support a candidate, who couldn't carry any of the big states the Democrats need for victory in the November general election.

The irony. The Republicans choose a weak throwaway candidate for an election they had basically conceded, and the Democrats select candidates with so many negatives that the Republican, despite his weaknesses and personal ineptitude, seems to have a chance.

Bullshit - I never said the working class dems are idiots, I said the idiots vote Hillary. If you recall (which you probably won't) I said "the upper class, educated AND INFORMED FOLKS" vote Obama. I consider myself to be working class, always have been. However I am INFORMED, I do not consider myself to be the same as the reality show watching, dumb ass who STILL thinks that Barack is a Muslim despite all evidence to the contrary and who couldn't put a push pin in Iraq on a map if their lives depended on it. In fact the type of people who couldn't put a push pin in Washington DC on a map if their lives depended on it. It is a simple fact that the "lower class" who couldn't tell you who their congressman was, who their senator was, or even who their local town councilman was, vote for Hillary in huge numbers.

Fox News will not call Indiana cause the big african american precincts are yet to give results. Clinton's numbers have dropped as more numbers have been counted, from 58/42 early on to 55/45 right now.

That and the Chicago media market districts haven't reported, either.

BTW, CNN's going to do a story on a 98 year old Nun. She's been denied the right to vote for the first time in her life. Something to do with a Supreme Court ruling. . .

Now it is down to 9% in Indiana, and as time goes on Obama continues to pick up more and more votes.

Turn out the lights hillary, the party is over.

Looks like Obama is going to be the Democratic Party's candidate.

I'll vote for him because he's democrat.

Hopefully he'll be able to hold his own against the republicans.

BTW, CNN's going to do a story on a 98 year old Nun. She's been denied the right to vote for the first time in her life. Something to do with a Supreme Court ruling. . .

Yep, the righties truely believe in freedom in America.

Oh, not just one Nun. A whole bunch of them. Apparently not enough time to get an ID card in time to vote. They showed up with their old passports, expired IDs, non-government IDs, etc.

Corky admit your defeat. Sometimes the good guys do win after all!!!

The difference in Indiana is shrinking. Down to 6% now.

I'll take the story on the Nuns (turns out there were quite a few!) to a user blog entry.

here's a reason why calling someone a Hoosier is an insult in Saint Louis. I see Clinton is up to 56% there. Those pikers really sucked up to that 18 cents a gallon, huh?

It is 53/47 now and keeps inching closer. They will not call because heavily black areas are just starting to report. Obama may still lose but its going to be closer than anticipated.

Actually the correct terminolgy there is "Wine Dems" as opposed to the "Beer Dems" that Hillariousness ClintCo so shamelessly and cynically panders to.

How's it going, "neologism deth?" You create more malapropisms than Yogi Berra did in his prime.
She offers to bribe them with their own money, talks shit about Obama like a right wing radio host ...

Oh, she is not a limousine liberal racist, who speaks no evil of a black person even if he is in league with the devil? She must have misplaced the PC playbook requiring deference and obeisance to blacks because ... Well, just because.
She's changes her accent to match up with where ever her schedule puts her and always claims to have a solid connection with wotever state she's trying to suck into her bald faced lies.

Oh? A politician lies, and spins? Hmm. We've never seen her opponent do that. so, she is blackened and he is not. Got it.
She's Rethuglican Lite in Dem's clothing.

Come on deth, you mangle English as a matter of course, but "Rethuglican" is a stretch even for you.

By the way, have you named your personalities yet, so that when you emerge from the cave and input to a website, we can know which deth is posting. Or have you taken different names as a poster to distinguish "yourselves?"

I can understand why you, a Canuck would be interested in U.S. politics, which are meaningful, instead of dwelling on the boring events in your homeland. Don't hesistate to provide your opinion to the good people of the United States as to whom they should select as President. We need your sage advice.

Now, you've emerged from your hole for long enough. Down deth. Down. Back with the other troglodytes.

deth, have you organized "Winos for Obama" in Canada yet?

Sometimes the good guys do win after all!!!

yes, and his name is JOHN MCCAIN!!!

CIK hahahahahaha, Your corrupt wench has failed once again. Just admit you backed a loser and get on the Obama wagon.

Obama isn't just my savior he is yours too.

Fuck Obama. I would vote for anyone else on the ballot but him.

On Fox right now, the Obama folks are celebrating. It's good to see Obama and his supporters energized again. It seemed in the las few days like they were tired and worn out but now Barack is back!

CBS has claimed hillary the winner in indiana but the results are not even close to be counted.

Talk about malicious media negligence, they should be fined and removed from the airways for weeks to show an example of such willfull negligence.

I will vote for the Democratic Party nominee no matter who it is for one reason, the Supreme Court.

Obama, the Come-Barack kid! Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat!

MSNBC says IN is now too close to call.

Sorry YAV,

Hillary is chosen and the democratic party loses me.

Too close to call, BUT BUT BUT according to CBS hillary has won.

How can anyone ever provide and listen to CBS again for such negligence in their media duty.

NOW THIS SHOWS WHAT KIND OF PROBLEMS WE HAVE IN THIS COUNTRY.

Yeah what Moneywar said.
Larry Mohr

To all the Hillary supporters..... suck it you fools. That miserable hag tried to ruin the greatest party on earth but she couldn't do it. Obama will fulfill the prophecy and become the great leader he was destined to become.

Hillary is chosen and the democratic party loses me.

I understand the sentiment, but would you actually vote for McCain, Moneywar? Larry?

Don't look for Hillary to concede--she is not bowing out and will not quit.

Obama has the lead in delegates but the magic number has not been reached.

What is it now --2025 or 2209?? Hmmmmm....

Obama is sounding like Reagan..

Murphy

Yawnnnnnnnnn why are You here Jackass?? Haven't You shat upon enough people??

Larry Mohr

Obama will fulfill the prophecy and become the great leader he was destined to become.

Maybe his Marxist terrorist fundraiser can be SecDef.

"Maybe his Marxist terrorist fundraiser can be SecDef."

Hahahahaha. Quite the humorist, is Pinochet Mao.

Obama is winning Indianapolis by 46,000 votes with 76% of the vote counted. Indy's county has 14% of the vote. There have been no votes reported in Lake and Laporte that are expected to be big for Obama. And that is roughly the same % of the state's vote. Hillary...IF she wins will win by less than 2% of the vote.

How in God's name does that advance her claim to the nomination?

larry it's mind over matter. I don't mind cuz you don't matter

Clinton's lead continues to slip. Down to 52% to 48%.

Yav I ain't voting for McCain no way no how. After He bent over for Dubya I wrote Him off. Kinda hard to respect a dude when He kisses the ass that shat all over Him. know what I mean Yav??

Larry Mohr

YAV,

If hillary is chosen the difference between her and baghdad bob mccain is so slight that it will be worth sending the message to the democratic party.

The democratic party better learn to shit or get of the pot real quick because I am getting tired of their do nothing attitude with all loud words but no action.

The republican party hurts ME none, but the democratic party of do nothings, can't make a decision, house vote crying whiners have to stop.

The either lead or get left behind.

This guy has been talking for 20 minutes and has yet to say a goddamn thing.

Amazing.

A Little Jesse Jackson....

"Steep" with "Seek"

Isn''t that It's mind over matter saying like so 3rd grade??

Larry Mohr

The woman in pink....

Self-parody, poetry, and horsehit.

All rolled up.

Pinche Mao-
A "sambo", as you refer to the "coloreds"(or however you refer to them when you're trying to be polite) , spoke for twenty minutes in a row and you're not the least bit impressed?

"This guy has been talking for 20 minutes and has yet to say a goddamn thing."

Better 20 minutes than 7 years, Pinche.

Get my point??

lol

know what I mean Yav??

Sure do, Larry. Same feeling here regarding McCain.

Pinche better get down and worship Obama since he is our next leader. No more greedy repubs to do your bidding. Larry try to get a sense of humor.

Obama's acceptance speech is a complete crock of shit. He promises the world, and doesn't explain how he can deliver. He will "hold insurance companies accountable" and THAT will cure health care? Get real, he's pie in the sky, and can produce next to NONE of what he promises.....

"I'll change decades of how things have been done in Washington"(ie even what occured under clinton's watch???)

HOW can he change the democratic party...if he can't articulate a SINGLE idea on his BS???

hola Lisa

spoke for twenty minutes in a row and you're not the least bit impressed?

Amos n Andy could do it for an hour.

And they were entertaining.

So fuck no I'm not impressed.

"he can't articulate a SINGLE idea on his BS"

Hey....after listening to Bush, we're used to that.

"I'll be happy when ole high-yeller Sambo explains his "association" with unrepentant, left-wing terrorists."

www.drudge.com

Isn't that what you said, Pinche Mao?

Hola, Messiah.

Obama has to win Indiana. A large number of voters there watch Chicago TV stations, so are very familiar with Obama's track record as the junior Senator from Ilinois prior to his rise to national prominence. If he wins Indiana, it is a tell that even those who know his local record over the past 4 years find him acceptable. If he loses, Hillary will bang that drum all the way into August.

So, Pinche...um...by "Sambo", what did you mean?

more proof repubs are racist. especially the tool known as johnson.

Obama closes the lead in Indiana to 4 points, his lead in NC is now 16 points. The fat lady is warming up.

"he can't articulate a SINGLE idea on his BS"

Hey....after listening to Bush, we're used to that.

Lisa, I'm not sure the strategy of saying we can stomach Obama because we've stomached Bush = a smart approach.

( "You think my farts bad? As least it's not as bad as the one George did yesterday !" )

'night folks

His NC speech was brilliant. JMHO.

So, Pinche...um...by "Sambo", what did you mean?

Sambo's had excellent breakfast buffet, that I know.

Obama's acceptance speech is a complete crock of shit. He promises the world, and doesn't explain how he can deliver.

"Promise them everything; give them nothing" -- Napoleon.

August 28, date of the Dem convention will be the 45th anniversary of the I Have a Dream Speech. Wouldn't it be great if Obama fulfilled at least partly that dream that MLK saw?

HRC's lead down to less than 36,000 votes and still no word from Lake and Laporte counties. HRC will not win by anymore than 2%. That sucks for her.

"HRC's lead down to less than 36,000 votes and still no word from Lake and Laporte counties. HRC will not win by anymore than 2%. That sucks for her."

In other words, Rush Limbaugh's Operation Chaos has had moderate sucess then.

Member - we are talking historic here, I cannot wait for him to walk on that stage, wave and smile, and assume the mantle of Dr. King. As my boss said "the best thing that could ever happen to this country"

"Lisa, I'm not sure the strategy of saying we can stomach Obama because we've stomached Bush = a smart approach."

I was half joking.

( "You think my farts bad? As least it's not as bad as the one George did yesterday !" )?

Hey...some ARE better than others!! And if I had to smell one, better it NOT be Georges!!

I heard he clears out the White House!

"Obama's acceptance speech is a complete crock of shit. He promises the world, and doesn't explain how he can deliver."

He's been talking about the issues all week. Now is time for him to celebrate a big victory in a big state. If you want to see his policy speeches then go to Youtube or go to his website.

If hillary is chosen the difference between her and baghdad bob mccain is so slight that it will be worth sending the message to the democratic party.

That's because the two party system is a charade. Washington is a one party town. This is a personality contest.

Obama is so wrong for the country--per his own record and he is the most liberal person ever to be nominated--if he gets there.

Don't look for Hillary to drop out--she is in this for the long haul.

What is wrong with these counties not reporting??

Murphy

No it would not be great having the convention on MLK speech day.

This will be a distraction not a benefit. We need to be moving on to more important things and I have a dream is not it.

How about trying to get the party focussed on the here and now and not on the past. The future is what we need to be setting policies now for and reliving the past in this way is counter productive.

I suppose you make the righties correct, it is about race with you.

"Obama is so wrong for the country--per his own record and he is the most liberal person ever to be nominated--if he gets there."

And Bush was the most WHAT, Murph???

lol

Come on sista. You should be a Bush supporter taking THAT road!

How are ya, anyway?

He's been talking about the issues all week. Now is time for him to celebrate a big victory in a big state. If you want to see his policy speeches then go to Youtube or go to his website.

Russert said that all he's heard all week from Obama in his speeches has been detail and issues. The speech tonight was celebratory, and a throw-down to the GOP on Patriotism, American values, and the American Dream. He tied it in with his personal Bio perfectly.

The speech was solid, inspirational and said what he needed to say.

So, Pinche...um...by "Sambo", what did you mean?

The little colored boy in the Helen Bannerman book.

You're kind of a dense fucker, aren't you?

Either that or you're working overtime to promulgate a little self-righteous (and transparently fake) outrage.

Can't figure out which.

Where have you been??

I have been super busy--which is great!

I gotta vote for McCain--I wanted Duncan Hunter--but no go there.

Murphy

Money - can you not see a day when a person is judged on his character rather than on the color of his skin?

That's because the two party system is a charade. Washington is a one party town. This is a personality contest.

Yes ray, we know how you feel and the fact you don't share in the patriotic duty of casting a vote I see no point in you begrudging a system you have no wish to cast you part in trying to correct.

Just put on your manacles and accept the system we give you because you're not savy enough to play a part in casting your voice.

Clinton is toast. As Chick Hearn would say: This game's in the refrigerator: the door is closed, the lights are out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard, and the Jell-O's jigglin'!

brit,

That has nothing to do with this and don't like the idea that it is being drawn into this.

We have serious problems and that is not one of them, and don't like the idea that people would like to draw such focus when we have so many other high pressing problems.

PS) North Carolina is a bum fuck red state that doesn't count so there

Signed

Corky

FF for Null--

But she is not going to quit.

Murphy

Thank God clinton is toast, this nation would go down another few steps toward the bottom with her and her lying, stealin ways.

I am all for voting for a women, but at least put one in that has some honorable character and can actually lead.

Thatcher makes her look silly. Merkel makes her look silly. Imagine what a laugh the rest of the world is getting at us knowing how much she has stole, lied, and mislead this nation and people are still going to vote for her.

North Carolina is a bum fuck red state that doesn't count so there

Signed

Corky

Scares me to think that Corky and I actually agree on something.

ObamaRama

The Beat Goes On

So in North Carolina 30% or so of the dem vote is black and they went 91% for Obama.

So he wins by 14%??

Hmmmmm

Lake County still not reporting. John King estimates that Barack Obama has to get 57% of the vote in that county in order to overtake HRC and win Indiana. He is winning Marion County (Indianapolis) 67-33 so, it's not over but still a bit of a longshot.

Obviously close enough to keep HRC off the podium until Marion County is counted. If she knew she had Indiana she would have been up to speak by now.

My guess Indiana is going to have an election problem in courts because CBS announced so early when it now show true controversial negligence.

CBS should be fine by congress, even the democratic party to show this media hillary panderer that they are truely not doing their job.

fined

Money - I agree with you. We have serious problems here in the US, and we need serious people to solve them (apologies to the script of a movie) however, I do believe that a part of solving those problems will come by electing an african american (or hybrid) president, as a simple premise the country could say to those who would cry "discrimination" for their lot in life would then have to look to the president and say "hey the child of a single parent, who's absent father ran off at age 2, who then went on to college and teaching and then became the president of the US" can no longer blame race, nor being the child of a single parent on their lot in life, it is time people grasped life by the horns and went for it, it is time that people stopped blaming the world for their lot in life. It is time for change.

I predict an Obama-nation

brit,

That is stupid, so your agenda has nothing to do with making this nation better, it is about telling those who have not the opportunity or luck to climb the ladder of success to buck and tough it out because you're just being lazy.

You contribute to the problem not help it. Get out of your egoistic self thought and start thinking about the future of our children.

2 minute warning...

Hahahaha

I did the math last night. Knowing that 90% of blacks would vote for Obama and that they make up 1/3 of all democratic voters I knew that Hillary would have to get over 70% of the white vote to win the state. Something that would not happen.

What will happen to Obama in the general election especially in states with no significant black population? He already polls weak with Hispanics.

I don't see him winning NC in the general election with African Americans only comprising about 15% of the totals voters in the general election. I think what worked for him in the primaries will be greatly diluted in the general election.

Bee Swell

"The little colored boy in the Helen Bannerman book."

Little Black Sambo was an Indian, you bonehead.

I predict an Obama-nation

I predict a pummeling of the Numinous One in the general election---what with the criminal friend, the racist friend, and the Marxist terrorists friend.

Not to mention the fact that he's a hard-left piece of shit and an adherent to an essentially anti-American and self-loathing worldview.

It works for the left wing blogosphere.

It works for the proletariat---so long as it's heavily camoflauged in 30 minute speeches that say absolutely nothing.

It's not going to work in the general election.

This fucker's going to be torn apart---if he gets the ticket.

Little Black Sambo was an Indian

Dots or feathers?

That would be dots.

The contrast is striking. Obama talks about changing the world and Hillary is begging for donations.

As Dandy Don would say, "Turn out the lights, the party's over!"

Money - I said no such thing. I grow my own produce, I recycle, I wear thrift store clothes. I am simply saying that by putting an African American in the whitehouse we can say to all of those "I am discriminated against" gang who sit on welfare and bemoan the fact that they have no opportunity that a child of a single parent, who's father left when he was two, gets to go to the best schools in the land and who gets to not only run but be a viable candidate for POTUS this was MLK's dream, this was his dream, and it is coming true. Today. Obama is the next president of the United States, and thank god for that.

"Not to mention the fact that he's a hard-left piece of shit and an adherent to an essentially anti-American and self-loathing worldview."

What a crazy motherfucker. Obama is a moderate liberal at best; a pro-corporate, pro-imperialist at worst.

"This fucker's going to be torn apart---if he gets the ticket.'

Just like Little Black Sambo got torn apart by those tigers.

"The contrast is striking. Obama talks about changing the world and Hillary is begging for donations. "

They're running on fumes. The eggs are cooling and the butter is getting hard. Stick a fork in her....and any other cliches that come to mind.

I thought he just turned the tigers into butter by running around in a circle---and doing little else.

One need not look much further than some of the sycophants here to recognize a parallel.

Oh.

She said "Burma".

Twice.

That's about the most moral clarity I've seen expressed by a goddamn liberal in my entire lifetime.

I kinda like this bitch.

Hillary must be mentally ill. She still insists that she will win in November, that is delusional.

As far as the "count the vote' chant, she is pandering of course. The MIFL controvery will be solved, but after June 3 when things settle down, not in the middle of a heated primary battle.

One need not look much further than some of the sycophants here to recognize a parallel.

What a bunch of white guilt crap.

You feel so bad about something you had no control over I bet you process on Good Friday and whip yourself until you bleed.

This is not MLK's dream. MLK would have chastised Obama and the rest of Wright's followers for their inability to lift themselves up as apposed to the blame game they play.

MIFL???

wOOt!

Nah. Indiana was one of the big KKK states, and their voting patterns reflect deep-seated values.

Leave it to the rednecks to think that being a racist shit-stain is somehow a 'value'.

Hillary must be mentally ill. She still insists that she will win in November, that is delusional.

I don't think that's delusional at all.

She's a hell of a lot more grounded in reality that the John Denver of Contemorary Politics.

You guys really need to get a grasp on what you've been given to work with---and go from there.

A left-wing black guy who keeps company with criminals and unrepentant Marxist terrorists who raise money for him is not a good thing.

Ha! How out of touch and off message is the Obama campaign that working class people think Hillary is their champion? She wins NC tonight, thanks to the Mayberry RFD crowd.

I love watching them hem and haw while the vote count gets pushed back hour by hour.

Not looking good for Hillary in any case.
Good.

MIFL = Michigan and Florida.

No need to worry about that now. It will be settled next month.

The reason Clinton wants to settle that question now is because she knows that next month she will be in a weaker position.

Wow, Cookfish, man......

I guess the question in the banner up top has been answered.

John Denver of Contemorary Politics

This is the wrong thread to be bringing up McCain's piloting skills.

Exactly, what does that say about the current state of the Democratic Party?

Exactly, what does that say about the current state of the Democratic Party?

They're not Republican, and that about says it all as far as America is concerned.

With tonight's votes Barack Obama has negated HRC's popular vote gains from PA. She won PA by 214,000 votes. Tonight, she will lose NC by about 221,000 votes. In IN, once all the votes are counted she will not win that state (if she does in fact win it) by more than 7,000 votes.
There goes another HRC argument for being the party's nominee.

So the indiana count must be very close because it appears the 88% count has been stuck for quite some time now.

Maybe they are trying to figure out a way to make CBS too early announcement correct.

They're not Republican

On Point Brian. Less than 20K for a win.

Less than 20,000 votes separate the two in Indiana. Barack is winning 75% of the vote in Lake County. If that holds, Barack will win IN and CBS will cease to exist as a viable news organization!

CBS was non existent a long time ago!

Murphy

CBS was non existent a long time ago!

But notice who's paying attention to what it says.

...CBS will cease to exist as a viable news organization!

This is more important than the entire vote. It would be nice to have the likes of such a media outlet be taken down by such political pandering instead of actually doing what the constitution suggest they do.

Clearly CBS is not out to be our voice for freedom and government watch dog, it clearly shows the FCC and other communication agencies need a major overhaul.

I seem to recall they did the same thing in 2000...

OH oh--then they pulled the oops sharade!

$--just sent them a dozen emails or more--it'll help. ;o)

Murphy

Chuck Todd just said there could be as many as 150,000 uncounted absentee ballots in IN that won't be counted until tomorrow. Hey, maybe CBS won't be wrong afterall.

Huge loss for Clinton in NC, and perhaps a 3 point "win" in Indiana.

She needs to get out while she still has the tiniest bit of credibility left.

Hillary is not going anywhere!

Someone will have to tie her up with duct tape--to a chair and left in a vault--locked!

Hey Gal--long time no post--;o)

Murphy

Hey Murphy! So you think someone is going to have to get out a hook and drag Hillary from the stage?

There was a woman in Obama's audience this evening that was literally in a trance. I thought I was going to see a halo of light come down around her head. I guess I must be missing something because I haven't trusted this guy or his message since he appeared on the scene a year ago. And the scariest thought is that the most intelligent people in this country are supposedly voting for this guy while their drinking their lattes. Damn, I guess my college education made me stupid - I just may have to sell my car, buy a pickup and start drinking boiler-makers. I'd rather be with the blue collars than the latte drinkers any day. It proves to me that an education doesn't necessarily make you smart it just makes you more affluent and more of a bore.

All you Obama supporters enjoy this empty suit and good luck - your going to need it. He's as bad as the neocons on the other side with less of a backbone. Now I'm going to go and throw up.

There was a woman in Obama's audience this evening that was literally in a trance

That chick in pink.

That was hilarious.

Hilarious and scary - she's probably married to a guy with 20 wives. LOL

And the scariest thought is that the most intelligent people in this country are supposedly voting for this guy while their drinking their lattes.

You are the one who used the word "supposedly." I hope you aren't buying all that hype about college educated people all drinking lattes.

Hey Pinche - do you think McCain will live until November? At this point, he's our only hope.

Chuck Todd just said there could be as many as 150,000 uncounted absentee ballots in IN that won't be counted until tomorrow. Hey, maybe CBS won't be wrong afterall.

That would be 10% of the entire vote of the state of Indiana. I don't know who Chuck Todd is but, I don't think his information is reliable.

Clinton may end up winning IN by the skin of her teeth because it looks like the votes that are in for LAke County are from Gary. If that is true I don't think Obama cna net 20,000 votes from the rest of that county.

Nah Gal - just that its a "typical" elitist choice of beverage.

Chuck Todd is MS/NBC's chief political analyst. Who knows--maybe I heard him wrong. If there are that many uncounted absentee ballots, I don't know who that would be good for. Clinton, I suspect.

RealPatriot:

It looks like they're having problems counting the votes in Gary, IN and the Mayor of Gary just happens to be an Obama supporter. Hmmm that doesn't look good. You know the old saying "its not the votes that count, but who counts the votes". Democracy is full bloom.

According to the mayor, who is a Hillary supporter, 11,000 absentee ballots are still being counted in Hammond, IN. I think she will hold on to a slim margin of victory in the state.

Hammond is in Lake County. Same as Gary.

Gal:

Looks that way but it will be a very slim margin, but a win is a win. She actually cannot quit at this point or she'll be labeled as a quitter when the going gets tough. She's in between a rock and a hard place. In any case, you have to give her credit for her perseverance, she is a real leader and a fighter and that can't be taken away from her.

SASS,

I would venture to guess that a lot of energy is being spent trying to keep overzealous HRC operatives from trying to rig the vote.

GAL,

If there are 150,000 absentee ballots still uncounted they would have to be from around the major population centers such as Indianapolis, Gary and Bloomington. Those are the only places where significant numbers have yet to come in. That would tend to favor Obama.

Real:

If any rigging is going on, I would venture to say it would be the Mayor of Gary who is an Obama supporter. If overzealous Hillary supporters were trying the rig the election, it would have already been called.

Listening to CNN, I gather there are about 11,000 absentee ballots in both Gary and Hammond being counted. One mayor is an Obama supporter, but the other is a Clinton supporter. They both say it is the number of absentee ballots (3 to 4 times what they are used to) that is a big part of the problem.

Sass,

16513--is that a PA zip code?

The same thing could be said of the mayor of Hammond, who is a Hillary supporter. Neither is the elections administrator in Lake County.

You always trying to rig an election in the democratic party because they always count their votes last.

Bee Swell

Okay, Chuck Todd just said their could be as many as 16,000 uncounted absentee ballots after tonight, but that wouldn't be enough to give Obama the win.

Oh, yeah, they just called IN for Clinton.

The People love Hillary!

A win of 20,000 votes. Even if all the absentee ballots went to Obama (impossible), he wouldn't catch her. Anyway, it was a good night for Obama.

Absolutely, it was a good night for Obama. I anticipated a 6-8% win for her in Indiana and the most recent polls in NC had her closing the lead down to about 5 points.

I would expect him to overtake her in the superdelegate count within two weeks. She will have a lot of trouble raising money after tonight.

The Democratic nomination process is essentially over. There's no argument Clinton can make to superdelegates as to why they should overturn the will of the voters.

I hope she'll do the right thing and concede in the morning. Otherwise, she'll become a pariah and useless in the Senate by continuing to drag a contest she has no chance of winning on for another month.

Obama had a 30 point lead in NC a one point. He outspent Hillary by 4 to 1 and only wins by 14%. He's weaker than I originally though or Hillary is stronger.

Her campaign has been running on fumes financially since February and she's still hanging in their neck and neck with Obama.

CNN) How big of an impact did Rush Limbaugh's Operation Chaos' have in Indiana? Did GOP voters really cross over to create havoc in the Democratic primary by voting for Hillary Clinton, as he'd asked his listeners to do?

Roughly one in ten of the state's Democratic primary voters were Republican -- and that group did vote for Hillary Clinton, 53 to 47 percent over Barack Obama. But hold on: registered Democrats, who made up two-thirds of Tuesday's primary voters, gave roughly the same edge to Clinton, 53 to 45 percent. Only Independents -- who made up about a quarter of the electorate -- voted for Obama, 53 to 47 percent.

For whatever reason, self-identified conservative voters did overwhelmingly support Clinton two out of three cast their votes for the New York senator.

politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com

----

Considering her slim margin of victory, makes you wonder.

AU,

I agree with your feelings about the process being over but, she is not going to concede anything anytime soon. That is because her primary motive is a personal grab for power that she once thought was securely hers. Her interests do not involve sending the best candidate against John McBush in the fall. She is not beyond dragging the entire Democratic Party down with her failed bid for the presidency.

Obama had a 30 point lead in NC a one point.

It is, after all, the state that elected Dan Quayle to the Senate.

"This is not MLK's dream. MLK would have chastised Obama and the rest of Wright's followers for their inability to lift themselves up as apposed to the blame game they play."

Riiiight MATO knows what MLK would say about Wright, Obama or Wright's church...uh huh.
Also, from what I have seen the membership of Wright's church have done a fairly good job of "lifting themselves up."
The racists will be revealing themselves now that Obama is more likely to be the nominee, they will come up with all sorts of ways to disguise their racism but it will still be pretty obvious. It will definitely be an interesting election season and fortunately for the Dems, so far it looks like the Rethugs won't be putting up much of a fight. Much will depend on McBush's running mate. Seems likely to me that he will have to choose someone with as little connection with Dumbya as possible yet who is young enough and smart enough to be considered a viable president which eliminates many REthugs.
BTW, after operation Chaos I really don't thing that the other party has any basis for objection to be called Rethugs, it's what they are.

The guy has no chance in November, its going to be a slaughter.

That's why he is polling higher than McCain nationally, because he has no chance, lol.

The election last night was disappointing to some. This was more about the popularity of each candidate. Now let us get back to the importance of the fall election. Remember WHY it is so important to beat the Republicans. Let us all stand together and WIN. Because Hillary did not win, would you rather have more years of this frightening war? Do you want to worry constantly about losing your home or your job? Do you want more years of high gas prices, and $4.00 a gallon milk? Aren't the worries about our huge deficit more important than the candidate? The loss of allies, the secrecy of this administration, the cover-ups and torture and constantly being lied to? Obama is a well educated man and I ask every Democrat to put aside their disappointment and fight for the election of a Democrat. The recovery of our nation will take a long time anyway
.

Aren't the worries about our huge deficit more important than the candidate?

I think that it will take a candidate who truly understands the nature of 'deficit' and other woes of the economy to make a difference... unfortunately, being 'well educated' does not always lead to resolutions... Dubya has an MBA.... I think Obama nor McCain are ready for the Oval responsibilities... it is one thing to talk about change, but it helps to have a resume that even hints of the ability to make it happens... actions are stronger than words and these two are very scary..!!! No, I do not want another Bush, but neither another combo of Bush/Carter, which Obama fits perfectly...

Only Independents -- who made up about a quarter of the electorate -- voted for Obama, 53 to 47 percent.

Independents are the folks Obama will have to hold on to in the fall.

Yes, of course study up on how qualified Obama is. Before I go further, Bush coasted his way through college and daddy bought him a graduation. One needs only to read "The Bushisms" to know just how ignorant Bush is
Now to get on with Obama resume'. Please do take the time to read it so you will really be informed

obamasresume.org

Am very familiar with the very 'thin' resume of Obama... the referral to the MBA of Bush was to illustrate that he and Obama are not very different in being prepared for the job...!!!
Does not take a 3rd grader to realize that the few items on Obama's resume give little foundation for the job he seeks... and, to listen to him is like listening to the campaign rhetoric of 'W'...

Ah, what short memories some people have.

Merely 3 weeks ago Obama looked at the polls and said that she would win PA and he, being 30 points ahead, would win NC, and that Indiana was "the tie-breaker".

Two weeks ago, after PA, Indiana where he had been leading was a dead heat and he was ahead by 24 in NC.

What's happened since? She shaved 10 points off his lead in NC, and won the dead heat "tie-breaker" in Indiana.

Next up? Double digit wins for her in WV and KY.

More evidence of who can carry the blue-collar vote, and who would lose in the general.

So it goes.

Hillary is well deserving of being POTUS, but not at the expense of party unity. I'd rather see a 50% chance at winning Obama in office than I would a candidate who would risk everything that does not matter to her to win.

If Obama gets the nod and loses, so be it. A strong democratic party behind him against McCain and all of his flaws would make Obama the inevitable winner. But with certain dems doing the work of the Insulars and kiiling Obama as they are, hiw can we expect him to win. Whether you call it passion or not, Hillary supporters, especially Lanny Davis, are suddenly bad for politics and bad for the party.

Whether you know it or not, it is you, not Resko, not Aires, not Rev. Wright, that will give McCain the win.

I said the idiots vote Hillary. If you recall (which you probably won't) I said "the upper class, educated AND INFORMED FOLKS" vote Obama. ... It is a simple fact that the "lower class" who couldn't tell you who their congressman was, who their senator was, or even who their local town councilman was, vote for Hillary in huge numbers. -- LilBrit

Much of Obama's support is coming from young voters who have very little experience with politics and very little understanding of the issues. Clinton's supporters, otoh, tend to be older voters, who characteristically have a great deal more political knowledge and experience.

Hillary is well deserving of being POTUS...I'd rather see a 50% chance at winning Obama in office than I would a candidate who would risk everything that does not matter to her to win.

You have the roles reversed, though. Hillary put her eggs in swing states and swing voters that are crucial to a November Dem win. Obama focused on winning states that will never vote Dem in November, and blocking Michigan and Florida re-votes. Talk about risking everything just to be the Dem candidate!

and won the dead heat "tie-breaker" in Indiana.

That would make sense... if there was a tie.

She just classified IN in her press conference just a few minutes ago as a "come from behind win". Bwahahahahaha

Nobody ever thought Obama would really take IN. He was always expected to be behind by 6-8 points. Instead he closes the gap to less than 2%... sounds like more of a victory for Obama than Hillary. Especially since she has NO way of getting the delegates now and will lose some of the SD's she already supposedly had.

That's right, blow off the youth vote. After all, who is going to be running the country in 30 years?

Oh. Wait...

-He was always expected to be behind by 6-8 points. Instead he closes the gap to less than 2%...

Bullshit. Indiana was dead even after PA, though he had been ahead by ten. You refer to the polls that were all over the place the last week.

Clinton's like a bad rash that won't go away

Bullshit. Indiana was dead even after PA, though he had been ahead by ten.

You wouldn't be saying that if she won, and we all know it.

You, madam, are the bullshitter.

That's right, blow off the youth vote -- Ness

Ness, I'm not blowing them off. I was countering LilBrit's claim that Obama's supporters know more about politics.

I am very disappointed with the way the primary went last night. I am a Democrat, and I am very unhappy. Republicans are probably cheering and celebrating right about now. Are you guys watching them? Rove is happy, Limbaugh is laughing; look how easy it is for them to bamboozle America. The right is ecstatic.

The Democrats are in la-la land as much as they ever been in many of the past elections. They don't seem to learn from history.

The way the media covered the campaign was as reprehensible as ever. That crap in Lake County and the refusal to recognize her win until the very end was awful. The way they magnify his win and deride her win is shameful. All of this is to be expected though, since they are trying to help Sen. McBush. The fact is that Sen. Obama lost Indiana. It doesn't really matter by how much. A loss is a loss. Remember Gore's loss in 2000? Sen. Obama couldn't even seal the right there in his own neighborhood! After the huge amounts he spent there! He has a high chance of being the nominee and to lose the general election in November. I am sad about that, but it is the way things are.

Yeah, the black vote, some of the youth vote, and some of the so called Obama affluent vote (who knows how many of them are truly Democratic anyway?) may yet enjoy a victory now, but they are deluding themselves if they think they can win by themselves in the fall. They don't understand anything about Republicans if they think they can pull it off with a divided Democratic base and a newly energized Republican base. Yeah, Sen. Obama's win is going to bring the Republicans together, because now Republicans have a chance to win this thing. Democrats are going to have to take a big one on the chin in November, and their candidate will not have much support in the next election. I hope they think it is worth it, because it is going to mean four more years that are going to be much worse for them and losing political capital.

Sen. Obama supporters don't count your chickens just yet. Nobody is going to thank you if he loses in November; I would venture to say that there is going to be a big blow to the Democratic Party, it may even implode, and you guys will be right in the middle of it.

Only time will tell ... I still hope because the primary is not over yet. Or, maybe a miracle will happen and Rove and the like are going on vacation abroad for an indefinite time, and Republicans are deciding to stay home ... and Sen. Obama is going to walk in the house. He will then have the opportunity to learn how to lead the country and Americans will watch in wonder. Yeah, he is going to bring about a lot of change ... who knows, maybe they will redecorate...

CHANGEGIRL

Let's keep in mind McCain lost 20% of the GOP vote to Huckabee and Romney last night.

The GOP is toast. Only when pragmatic people return to the RNC leadership with all the NeoCons banished to eternal mockery will they ever stand a chance of winning the WH or Congress.

"Only when pragmatic people return"

Goldwater ain't coming back.

Talk about stupidity and casting all crucial votes down to Super Delegates. Obama was clearly the smarter of the two and now has proven the case.

Sore and sour losers of the hillary camp shows clearly the reason why the democratic party has a problem and has had a problem for 30 years. We now know why they are unable to do anything.

The do nothing democratic party because they fight against themselves and in the end it goes the republican way.

These two posters and people like them are the ones who are taking the party down and have done so ever so slowly over the many years.

Sen. McBush is going to be smart enough to get a VP who is perceived to be strong on the economy which will bring in the votes. It may be Romney, or somebody similar, maybe even better. They will say that they will fix healthcare, which of course they won't, and people will lose out. All those pretty preachy words of change are not going to stand up to the impressive Republican machine. God help us if they try again to dismantle Social Security, etc.

The Republicans will bring the country down, which is stupid of course, but they will do it because they can and they don't care. Elite Republicans don't even care about all the stupid people who vote for them; the poor sods who dream they are going to be rich one day and they will not have to pay extra taxes. In the mean time, they may lose their health, their jobs, their homes, and even their lives if they are unlucky enough to be on a bridge or a highway that is going to collapse because of neglect.

Unless Democrats unite, they won't even know what hit them. Republicans are having so much fun creating mischief and fanning the conflict among democrats because they don't want to see these two together. Now, if the two Democratic candidates would come together, they would have a real chance to crush the Republican machine. Fat chance of that at this point though ...

Sen. Obama supporters annoyed Sen. Clinton supporters to the degree that they would be hard to persuade to help him, even if she does. Media played a big role in it, and other things played a role as well; the situation looks bad.

You should do well to remember that it wasn't Sen. Clinton who brought up all the stuff about Sen. Obama. It came out in the media. It would have come out one way or another. She also didn't force "Bittergate" and "Proudgate" either. They were bound to happen sooner or later, because this is who they are. And I am afraid that there is more to come. So, Obama supporters bask in the glow of North Carolina while you still can.

Sen. McBush is going to be smart enough to get a VP who is perceived to be strong on the economy .... You should do well to remember that it wasn't Sen. Clinton who brought up all the stuff about Sen. Obama. It came out in the media.

Words of the street walking girl!

Strong on the economy???????? WHAT!!!! Yep, how about the vacation on gas tax and I don't lay with the economists. Real strong, what whale swallowed you?

It came out in the media???? Hence the reference to the street walking girl because only they could take such a position thinking the media did this, not those individual who feed them. Not too familiar with the ways of the world except the caddi slowly comin down the street, now there is the real money!

Moneywar, as I said before, you will not even know what hit you.

You are so puffed up and full of yourself, you can't see what is happening. This is why Democrats will lose and it is going to be very bad for all.

You know I would rather the Democrats lose with the candidate that was chosen by the will of the people than to win with a candidate that was chosen in some backroom somewheres. Providing the loss was a genuine one and not some Diebold Manufactured one or some Supreme Court Choosing. If the Super Delegates don't go for the one that the majority of Democrats want then They are not doing the peoples business as far as I am concerned.

Larry Mohr

You know what amazes me? The fact that Changegirl, and our own loveable Corkypoos seem to totally dismiss the majority of democrat voters, out of hand, ah they don't count cause they don't support our girl. Memo to Corky and Changegirl (they could even be the same person) THE VOTERS HAVE SPOKEN, OBAMA IS THE NOMINEE! Get the ever loving f**k OVER IT ALREADY!

You guys never cease to amaze me. No matter how many times I say the same thing, you never actually think about it, but recite the same old crap.

Now, Larry, read that again "You know I would rather the Democrats lose with the candidate that was chosen by the will of the people than to win with a candidate that was chosen in some backroom somewheres."

First of all, if you think that Sen. Obama is where he is without doing some deals in some back rooms, you are extremely nave.

Second, a lot of people actually don't want Sen. Obama to be the nominee now, because he is not ready. He is not ahead by a large margin, and he doesn't seem to be a deal closer and to be able to appeal to a key constituency for the fall election. They might go for him in four years, or later, but not now. Sen. Obama is not yet the nominee, and that is worrisome. He just isn't strong enough at this time. And if he ends up being the nominee, read again what I said earlier.

Third, being able to say the hell with everything, I don't care about the general, I just want him nominated now, shows that you don't understand what is at stake; that is the most infuriating thing. If you are ready to give four more years to Sen. McBush just to see Sen. Obama nominated now, shame on you!

Firstly show Me Proof that He has made some backroom deals to get where He is today. Show Me the Money Honey.

Secondly They must want Him cause they keep voting for Him more than they are Hellary. Also He is way ahead of Hellary in both Pledged Delegates and also the Popular vote so I don't see where You come off saying He isn't. Funnily You want to push Obama down the road which I would agree to if Obama was trailing Hellary but He isn't. Seems to Me it's very funny the one that is leading gets pushed to the side by You "ChangeGirl" just because Her darling Hellary ain't winning. Seems spoiled sports to Me. As far as Him not being strong enough. Honey He is doing pretty damned well for Himself I would say. He is winning after all.

Thirdly I know what is at stake but if You do not do the will of the people no matter the oputcome shows Me You really don't give a flying fuck about Representing the Democratic People. You just don't like the fact Your Girl is tanking and are having a hard time coming to terms with that fact. Let's face it the Democratic Party doesn't want Hellary. If they did She would be whipping asses and taking names instead of being behind and being childish about losing. Thems the facts.

Oh and btw if You think Hellary can beat McBushSuckUp I have some very nice ocean front property to sell You cheap in Western Kansas. I don't think not as many Republicans will vote this time around but I bet You dollars to dounuts if they pick Hellary to run against McCain You will see Everybody and His brother and sister voting McCain instead of Hellary. Bank on THAT "ChangeGirl"!!!!!!!
