What we need in this country is a judicious leader without a pre-ordained philosophy on everything, who can process information, speak intelligently, and make decisions on principled grounds without being led by the nose by special interests.

As far as the immigration issue goes, it is a red herring. Sure, the Mexican-American border is porous. That is an issue that will take some addressing, but beyond latino immigration issues, the US could stand to open its borders MORE, not LESS. Especially to EU and native-English speaking foreigners, who believe in democracy, monogamy, and the rule of law.
