Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs
Tuesday, April 29, 2008

Sen. Barack Obama said he is "outraged" by comments his former minister, the Rev. Jeremiah Wright, made Monday at the National Press Club and "saddened by the spectacle." "I have been a member of Trinity Church since 1992. I have known Rev. Wright for almost 20 years," he said at a news conference in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. "The person I saw yesterday is not the person I met 20 years ago."

Perfect setup between Wright and Obama. This gave Obama the chance to dump Wright and look good in the process. Fine example of teamwork and Wright taking one for the team.

Too bad McStupid didn't take the same opportunity to dump W. after the fuckin' he took during the South Carolina Primary

European-Americans cannot possible understand the
African-American church, therefore the African-American
church is under full frontal assault.

European-Americans are Afrophobic - they are afraid
of what they don't understand. They see and hear
proud, intelligent, articulate, handsome African-Americans
such as Barack & the good Reverend and they are mind-boggled.

These Afrophobes should be pitied.
I, as a European-American, beseech all other
European-Americans to try - if only for a moment -
to understand the perspective of other African-Americans.
Try to imagine what it is like not to
possess 'white-skin-privelage'.

Let's not judge - let's try to understand.

Be Well.

My sense of it, Wright sees Obama as an Uncle Tom. Even Sharpton told him to butt out of the Sean Bell affair.

What does any of this have to do with creating more jobs, lowering the price of a gallon of gas, stabilizing the economy, or improving our public schools?

This is the most asinine distraction.

BS--(sneeze)

The good Reverand hates America and whites and the gov't and he admits it.

Obama may be too little too late here. He should have done this in PA speech--but then it was only the crazy uncle excuse.

Now we'll see if the good Reverand throws the ball back to Obama since he was thrown under the bus.

Will Obama now apologize to his grandmother?

You know it is very tough growing up at the age of 46. Obama is now in full political expediency to dump the pastor after being his mentor for 20 years.

POS full of crap...

Murphy

"Will Obama now apologize to his grandmother?"

Will John McTrollop apologize to his wife?

McSame for President!!!

Between Wright's rantings and the guy praying to God for cheap gas, can anybody deny religion is a mental disorder?

Obama 'Outraged' at Wright Remarks

Obama should have been "outraged" about his anti-American bigoted "spiritual mentor"
20 years sooner. Too little, too late now.

Whatever. Maybe this will finally convince people that Obama is not his pastor. All of us have a family member or friend who might be considered "out there," if not "crazy." If we ran for public office, we'd have to denounce them after the dirt-diggers unearthed them to the press.

Let's be done with this stupid shit and get on to things that matter, like how the fuck, if President, they'll get the economy right. Or that war thing.

Now wait a minute just 24 hours ago Danni, Axe, Alexandrite, Danforth and others were talking about how great a speach reverend Wright gave and how he was so right on everything. How could this be?

Now there candidate has just took then to the woodshed and blistered their asses for playing with matches!

Bee Swell

John McTaint's best buddy hates all catholics and thinks that gays are responsible for 9/11 and Katrina.

At least Rev Wright is somewhat grounded in reality.

What involvement has the Clinton campaign in Wright's appearances?

It has been going on for 20 years. Why change now?

It has been going on for 20 years. Why change now?

I think Wright sees Obama's career as an opportunity to gain the stage. The only sound clips come from a recent speech and I discount the "chickens roosting" comment because he was quoting an American diplomat when he said that...

We shouldn't forget Ron Paul also quoted the 911 Commission Report citing "blowback" from earlier foreign policy decisions, and the fact that the Republicans booed him while Giuliani posed as cheerleader.

AIDS? Makes you wonder if Wright's scientific advisor is Bani.

Jeremiah Wright's Bombshell

So that's what outrage looks like?

Obama looked like a puppy that just got slapped down for trying to sneak a morsel from the big dog.

Obama is slow on the uptake and weak on the defense of what he considers "a show of disrespect for me".

You know after trying to blow it off yesterday Michelle gave him an earful last night.

This fellow is not ready for primetime.

"This fellow is not ready for primetime."

it'll be nice when mccain tells primetime why he "hates gooks"

look....obama was a senator for two years and THATS ALL and didnt do anything during that time....which to be fair is not that unusal for a rookie....
and he comes onto the scene and talks real "purty" and tells us that he will unite us and his election will transcend race....
AND THEN we find out that his advisor and pastor and friend is all about race and a black supremicist and maybe even racist......
and thats all okay....but since obama is wanting to run the free world.....THESE QUESTIONS DESERVE ANSWERS....b
BUT the left doesnt even want us to ASK the questions, much less get some answers.

and now comes the obigatory remarks about mccain and hagee.......and of course its totally different...mccain didnt sit in church in fort worth for 20years and count on hagee as a friend, confidant, and advisor.
but again......my beef is this.....why cant we even ask questions about it? what are you on the left scared of...perhaps you dont want to know who obama REALLY IS????

Only because he has to be "outraged" now that he wants to be president. When he sat in the audience for 20 years listening to Wright say these same things he had no objection, and probably clapped and cheered like the rest of the congregation did/does.

sorry bout that....computer has a mind of its own and IT decided that all of you needed to read that post twice..........
sound good.....are you buying it? sorry for the screwup.

"So that's what outrage looks like?"

Rev. Wright is obviously far more important than John "I hate gooks" McTrollop's plan for a 100 years of war.

Add me to that list, but it wasn't 24 hours ago. It was Sunday night. If Wright had shut up Sunday he'd have been ahead and Obama still trapped. Monday ended that. Wright was out there, past the edge. I listened to him and thought he was daft. Benefit of the doubt removed.

It has nothing to do with "jobs, lowering the price of a gallon of gas, stabilizing the economy, or improving our public schools"

However, as Obama said himself. "The fact that he is my former pastor I think makes it a legitimate political issue. So I understand that."

Obama understands it's legitimate. Why don't you?

It's a question of judgement.

HILLARY AND JORGE
In recent days, there have been attempts by the mainstream media to metaphorically tar and feather Barack Obama by his association with Reverend Wright. I was hopeful we had outgrown such things as guilt by association, but political campaigns always seem to bring out the worst in people.

But, if guilt by association is your cup of tea, then read on, because I have a couple doozies to share with you!

PHOTOGRAPH OF COCAINE SMUGGLER JORGE CABRERA WITH HILLARY CLINTON.

Jorge Cabrera is a convicted drug dealer and friend of Fidel Castro.
Some News Coverage

MIAMI -- Jorge Cabrera, a drug smuggler who has emerged as
one of the most notorious supporters of President Clinton's
re-election campaign, was asked for a campaign contribution in
the unlikely locale of a hotel in Havana by a prominent Democratic
fund-raiser, congressional investigators have learned.

[...]

On his return to the United States several days after that
meeting, in November 1995, Cabrera wrote a check for $20,000 to
the Democratic National Committee from an account that included
the proceeds from smuggling cocaine from Colombia to the
United States, said the investigators, who spoke on condition of
anonymity.

[...]

In early January 1996, three weeks after having attended the
Christmas reception at the White House, Cabrera was arrested
and charged with importing 6,000 pounds of cocaine into the
United States on boats through the Florida Keys. Late last year, he
pleaded guilty to those charges and was sentenced to 19 years in
federal prison and fined $1.5 million.

vote 4 McBush!:>)

I thought Obama's first speech to clarify us all on where he stood with Wright and race was a lot better than this speech, where he looked down and seemed tired. I hope the next speech he gives to clarify us all on Wright and race is more upbeat like the first speech to clarify us all.

Did John "i hate gooks" McTrollop ever express outrage over the comments of Hagee?

Well, Wright is sure right about 911 being a coverup:>)

Molten STEEL Flowed Under Ground Zero for Months After 9/11

In response to the numerous reports of molten metal under ground zero, defenders of the official version of 9/11 have tried to argue that it was not steel, but some other kind of metal with a lower melting point.

Well, here are what top experts who eyewitnessed the molten metal say:

Bush's "sniper" remarks and the venue

Just before 2:30 pm, Reagan left the hotel's T Street side exit. While waving to crowds, Bush family friend John W. Hinckley, Jr., stepped forward and fired off six shots from his Rohm RG14 22-caliber pistol. Bullet one struck White House Press Secretary James Brady in the head rendering him an invalid, bullet two struck DC police officer Thomas Delahanty in the back, bullet four hit Secret Service agent Tim McCarthy in the stomach, the sixth bullet ricocheted from the president's limousine and struck Reagan under his left arm, lodging in his lung near his heart.
Vice President George H. W. Bush nearly got an eight year jump on the presidency thanks to a family friend. His son chose to mention "sniper fire" Saturday night at the very same hotel where the Bush oligarchy almost took over power after only 69 days of the Reagan presidency.

Absolutely, Wright now owns his ass because Obama was not man enough to stand up in the first place.

Obama was using Wright when it was good for Obama. Wright knows he made Obama and to see the ingrate turn on him totally pisses him off.

Obama was stupid not to realize Wright was a Clinton supporter all along.

What some Obama supporters and Obama campaign fail to understand is that some folks(me included) could give a shit less about the right Reverend and Obama's association with him. What is most contemptible is that Obama and his campaign lacked the stones or the savvy to figure out how to handle the "God Damn America" and "We invented AIDS" properly in a timely manner. Look how long this shit has been going on. He's showed everyone the amateur he is by doing this so long after the fact. I figure the conversation went something like this:

Obama: Man, I just don't think I can win now.

Wright: "Barack you've got to denounce me"

Obama: Yeah I know but how? If I come out now I'll look not only indecisive but weak of character.

Wright: I'll get in front of the media and just let it all hang out. Then when I've said enough and I look like a loon, you come out and hold a press conference denouncing me. Don't worry, I know it'll all be about the politics.

Obama: Thank you Reverend.

Wright: It's all good. no problem. glad to have helped.

The Clinton camp would have had this figured out soon after and would have wrapped something like this up in a week. This dumbass (Obama for all you currently stoned) let this drag out so damn long that he's damaged goods. Way to go you stupid fuck (again Obama for you stoners). Hillary's got a hell of a shot now and has increased her chances to get the nomination due to this strategic blunder What a dipshit. And for me and a lot of voters and superdelegates, this ineptness will not wash.

just more of the "change we can believe in"....

"and of course its totally different...mccain didnt sit in church in fort worth for 20years"

strike 1 bad against obama

strike many bad against mccain

obama is still greater then mccain the racist

I don't see the same conspiracy that JOHNNYLOCK does.

Obama finally saw the writing on the wall and did the right thing. However . . .

I'm more distrubed by the fact that Obama knew his pastor was a loose cannon a couple years ago and waited until it turned into critical mass before he took action.

If a primary is a test of a candidate's mettle then Obama failed the test. He lacked the insight, for whatever reason, to notice that his pastor was attempting to plant the seeds for a black revolution in America.

Obama and Wright both wanted a black revolution and probably even talked about it. The problem is Obama wanted to bring about a revolution by inspiration. Rev. Wright didn't want to wait that long. He wanted to fan the embers of hate and victimhood . . . and maybe even riots and civil disobedience.

I'm grateful that Obama finally caught on but someone less naive would have seen it coming a long time ago.

If Obama can be this easily duped, I still have concerns about his judgment.

Every Democratic poster feels the need to add McCain into their post as a lame way of defending their boy. I think you folks need to climb aboard the Hillary bandwagon while they still have room.

You know it's funny. TwinPac is having a hissy over Obama having a HUMAN MOMENT. Yet nary a word about Her Darling Hellary lying Her ass off about sniper fire and other things. Funny dat Be.

This is as bad as it can get (hopefully) for Obama.

How insulting is it to throw your own minister under the bus? The same minister who:
1. saved you from drugs
2. officiated your marriage
3. baptised your children
4. provided guidance for 20 years.

And to say he never heard those controversial sermons, please. Even if that is true, he doesn't speak to fellow parishoners? I could see the conversation going something like this:

"Hi, Barack, good to see you."

"How are you?"

"Fine. We missed you last sunday... but you missed one interesting sermon."

"Really, what did the rev. say?"

and the crap about him calling Wright his "Former Pastor" as if it was Obama who left Wright. Wright retired, thats the only reason Obama can get away with using the word "former"

That redacted might fly in a small congressional district in Chicago, but this isn't the minor leagues. As smart as Obama is, he DEFINITELY should have seen this coming.

For the record, I can appreciate Black Liberation Theology. But I'm not fool enough to run for president, and my appreciation for that philosophy would be part of the reason why. Apart from the fact that I'm a political nobody with a bad attitude in general.

We Need "Hillary Strangelove"LOL

April 27, 2008
AMERICANS have learned to take with a grain of salt much of the rhetoric in a campaign like the current Democratic donnybrook between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Still, there are some red lines that should never be crossed. Clinton did so Tuesday morning, the day of the Pennsylvania primary, when she told ABC's "Good Morning America" that, if she were president, she would "totally obliterate" Iran if Iran attacked Israel.

This foolish and dangerous threat was muted in domestic media coverage. But it reverberated in headlines around the world.

Responding with understatement to a question in the British House of Lords, the foreign minister responsible for Asia, Lord Mark Malloch-Brown, said of Clinton's implication of a mushroom cloud over Iran: "While it is reasonable to warn Iran of the consequences of it continuing to develop nuclear weapons and what those real consequences bring to its security, it is probably not prudent in today's world to threaten to obliterate any other country and in many cases civilians resident in such a country

stabilizing the economy, keep govt out of it, reduce the number of people receiving a govt check, which is 49% of this country.

Today it is anyone who has read my book knows... The same book crediting the title to Wright? Did he forget about who baptized his kids? Did he forget who corrupted him into politics? Did he forget he praised Wright as his mentor? Did he not lie and say he didn't know Wright spoke and felt about America and whitey the way he did, forgetting the DVDs Wright has sold for years?

It would be nice to see one post explaining why all of the sudden the light went on his head. He was losing the WHITE VOTE. But as BL2 posted, can we talk about this? Or is this off limits like everything else?

too late obama

One of the things that increased over the past few months, Crispee, if you want to talk about it, is that in Pennsylvania in particular, a lot of white guys said to themselves at the last minute something like "Dammit, I don't want to do it, but I'm going to vote for the Bitch before I'll vote for the Nigger".

I know on the surface that is funny. The sad part is everyone knows it will come down to racism or feminism. But what do you expect when the Dems nominate two of the most inexperienced, unqualified candidates in the last 50 years. They have to run on hot button issues.

As tempting as it is to take a potshot at Obama over this I'm gonna pass on the opportunity since who really listens to any sermon (or Mass for that matter) for crying out loud?

There's plenty enough to beat the closet socialist and wannabe statesman over without this.

Rev. Wright is forcing America to deal with is past like no one has before an those on the RIGHT in this Country refuse to believe that we have not gone beyond that.

Obama represented this man as close as family to the nation and defended his right to be who he is ... building almost an idol' existence in him ... he has been integrated into the most intimate ceremonies of his life as a spiritual leader and mentor ... there is no way, for 20 years, that a reasonable and intelligent man as Obama is supposed to represent, could not possibly know and have had discussions on the deep rooted views of Wright.. To expect the electorate to believe that he has visions and is an intelligent solver of issues and also to tout that he is one who can unite people and at the same time intimately support the relationships of people, and not one, that stand for totally different and divisive views is intolerable and a slap at the intelligence of the electorate. If he knows the definition of mentor' and spiritual leader' and truly embraces that for 20 years, do we really know what this man really intends to do once he has keys to the oval office ... THAT IS THE QUESTION that every voting American must ask themselves ... This will not stop at the election date; this spans too many questionable relationships and will be a piece of the news from this point on every day of his campaign and wherever it leads him ... .it will not go away, and many fear, will only begin to grow and more skeletons out of the closet ... .this is a much more serious issue of character than has been raised before at such a high level ... it really brings into question just what he does propose to do with the country, if elected???? You cannot wipe out these in-depth' character marriages of his that have perpetuated over the past 20 years ... think about it..!!!!
These relationships transcend associations' at many levels and in many intricate areas of his life.

I stand by that and by the comment I made after Wright shot himself on the following Monday.

Crackpipejunkie-
Now wait a minute just 24 hours ago Danni, Axe, Alexandrite, Danforth and others were talking about how great a speach reverend Wright gave and how he was so right on everything. How could this be?

Liar. Give me a link proving this, asshole.

So let's see.....

Obama first claims to never have never heard some of the controversial Wright statements firsthand in 20 years of his church attendance?

I don't buy it.

Then, Obama is played clips where he hears the AIDS comment and the God Damn America comment - comments which were no more controversial than what Wright uttered this week. When questioned about the 2 original comments Obama said he disagrees with them, but still is enamored with Reverend Wright. This whole thing snowballs on Obama politically and then Rev. Wright opens his mouth again, with more of the same and all of a sudden Obama is outraged?

As Danni would say, "puuhhleeaassee".
His change of heart is CLEARLY political and political only. He's in damage control mode now. Which begs the question, which reaction (his initial crazy uncle reaction or his current outrage) is truly reflective of Obama's beliefs? I'd definitely say the former - he obviously didn't anticipate that this would blow up like it has and was thus answering honestly the first time around. So, he throws his good friend under the bus out of political expediency.

On the one hand, this improves Obama's stature a bit - it's proof that he is willing and able, albeit clumsily able, to play the game. However, Obama's biggest selling point is that he's the agent of change, he's about unity. Well, he's looking more and more like any other politician these days. His perceived edge as an agent of change is diminishing.

As for unity? He's Left to far-left on all of his policy positions. It takes a centrist to be a unity candidate. In this election McCain is the unity candidate.

So let's see.....

JEFFJ

Obama is just now learning that there's "lots of compromisin' on the way to his horizon."

McCain, on the other hand, has no soul left to sell.

BTW, what makes you think that McCain is telling the truth? McCain is wizened and gnarled in the art of politics. It seems to me he'd be the one most likely to pretend he's something he's not.

It seems to me he'd be the one most likely to pretend he's something he's not.

Or the one most likely to compromise, which is an art a good politician must master.

Goddamn America!...Change we can BELIEVE in my ass!!...wonder if the church members will vote for Barry now?

Twin,

I wasn't suggesting that McCain is telling the truth.

My point was that Obama was being placed on a pedestal by his cultists. Obama is 'different'. Obama is about 'change'. Obama is about 'hope'. Obama is about 'unity'.

However, when push finally came to shove, Obama shows that he is just another politician.

So, as we draw nearer and nearer it becomse more and more clear that Obama can't change the rules of the game.

So where does that leave him? On the same plane as Clinton and McCain. He may be adept, but he is the visiting team and lacks familiarity of the terrain.

The Only thing McBushSuckUp can unite is the stink on shit. Cause He just smells after kowtowing to Dubya like He has. Someone I might add that could have served His Country faithfully and volunteered for vietnam.(Dubya)

Larry Mohr

JEFF:

Sorry, I must have misunderstood you.

I agree that the country was way too quick to put Obama on a pedestal. Every time this country has a serious case of doldrums over it's current administration, it jumps to the opposite extreme.

This Obama thing reminds me of when the voters switched to the haloed Jimmy Carter after the Nixon disenchantment.

The Oval Office is no place for a Mr. Milquetoast.

Ever get the feeling that this was a big ole set up between Obama and Rev Wright?? Rev Wright makes some shitty remarks and Obama can denounce them and Him outright and come out smelling better?? Just a hunch.

Larry Mohr

Sorry, I must have misunderstood you.

No problemo, Twin.

Regarding Wright-gate...

It couldn't have been timed better for Obama. The story broke too late in the primary season to really turn the tide for Hillary and it'll be old news by the time the general is in full swing.

PS - this little analysis is paraphrased from an article I just read while the DR was down AGAIN, only 12 hours or so after being "fixed".

i am outraged at McCains remarks

www.sfgate.com

Kliff, anyone who remembers that war and the North Vietnamese are not going to have a problem with it. Watch Green Berets with John Wayne and you'll figure it out.

Of course Obama is outraged. He is a politician running for office. He will tell you anything he thinks you want to hear.

Taking Obama at his word, if he truly does find Wright's words reprehensible, and has denounced them sincerely, and is speaking the truth when he says he has never heard words like these before from Wright, then he may come out of this in not so bad shape.

But if Obama did attend similar sermons in the past, and he is lying about not having done so, then he better hope tthat there isn't a video tape somewhere in Karl Rove's safe, showing Barry sitting in the congregation while Wright delivered his 'kill whitey' homilies.

Nixon's mistake in Watergate was lying about it rather than saying "Yeah, people working for me broke in and I'm sorry". Clinton's mistake in Monicagate was lying about it rather than saying "Yeah, she blew me and I'm sorry". Obama may have made the same mistake. Time will tell...

If you cant believe anything from Obama, then certainly you can not believe anything from a person who survives sniper fire, wont release the names of the people on HlthCare fiasco, she was named after the climber. And on and on and on.

Chaos as silly as it is, seems to be fucking up the dems and then throw in Wright.

McCains probably going to win.

Why is homeboy "outraged?"

Previously Obama had interpreted the same remarks, and spun them so that they were acceptable in what the leftist elitists dubbed "a brilliant speech."

Oh, I get it. Obama needs votes other than those of the leftist elitists, the limousine left and blacks, and these "others" responded negatively. The loss of support is what caused him to take a new tack. It's not the content of the remarks that so affect Obama, but rather the consequence to him.

Oh gosh no. After 20 years of supporting Rev. Wright's positions sand remarks, Obama has ahd an epiphany. He's renounced his grandmother, and the man who was his mentor, friend, idol, and pastor. Who's next? Oops, possibly Michelle, who may have alienated voters by announcing that only after there was support for him as presidential nominee, did she like America. Being U.S. Senator wasn't enough.

Obama is quite a guy. Manipulative? On successive days, Obama stated he supported Gen. Petraeous' policy, and that he demanded "immediate" withdrawal from Iraq, which is contrary to the General's statement.

Rev. Wright had it right. Obama is a politician and will say whatever he needs to say to get elected. So overnight, Obama is distressed that Rev. Wright denounced the U.S. for developing the AIDS virus to harm blacks. Got it. Rev. Wright shouldn't have publicized this paranoid stance, which Obama supported until now. Got it.

What else? Oh, it was okay for Rev.Wright to call on God to act, "God damn America" until yesterday, which such a statme3nt offended Obama for the first time. These epiphanies are striking fast.

Why next Obama may denounce partial birth abortion, slaughtering the baby as it is emerging from the birth canal. After all, he's a man of prinicple, the principle being "What do I need to do to get your vote?"

Hey, that Michelle is quite a "stallion." Oh, oh, but there's trouble in Paradise. She wasn't enough for Obama. Will Michelle dump him, or will she pull a Hillary and remain for political expediency. Power means so much for so many people in the political trade.

Obama only became outraged when Wright dissed him personally as a typical politician.

Since Wright has said nothing really new, apparently everything else he said was OK.

Obama should have had a "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" banner behind him during his first speech 2 weeks ago.

Nappy,
It is almost ridiculous to believe Obama never heard or knew Wrights feelings on America. There is no doubt he has at least one DVD from Wright. There is no doubt he credits Wright with the title of his book. He has donated thousands of dollars to Wright. Funny how it is not mentioned how much Wright is worth and how he lives.

Funny how it is not mentioned how much Wright is worth and how he lives.

No kidding Crispee. Multi-million dollar mansion in a gated community. I could use that kind of opression in my life!

Besides, his features and skin color make him look more like an Italian grandfather in the photos I've seen -- I bet he has "passed" easily and experienced little of the prejudice he rants about.

The guy's a grifter.

AIN'T NOBODY NEVER CALLED REV WRIGHT A NIGGER!!!!!!!

Now if Obama had been Catholic and remained in the church, that little child molestation thing for decades wouldn't have hurt him one bit.

Did the Catholic Church sell DVD's showing the molestation? Did they have a Sunday sermon about the priests?

If Hill gets the nod say hello to prez McCain

If Hill gets the nod say hello to prez McCain

And say hello to Rodney King-style race riots in Denver. And LA and Detroit, too, but those are obligatory anytime anyone does anything to anyone that may have any overtones. Anywhere.

And then President Bush, with no choice left, must declare martial law, and delay the general election. No... even better, we let one of the Ay-Rabs detonate a bomb -- hell, let's let it happen right in downtown Denver during the Dem convention... oops!....and then Homeland Security can declare Condition Red... all public gatherings, including elections, are canceled.

The National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive (National Security Presidential Directive NSPD-51/Homeland Security Presidential Directive HSPD-20, sometimes called simply "Executive Directive 51" for short), signed by Bush on May 4, 2007, is a Presidential Directive which specifies the procedures for continuity of the federal government in the event of a "catastrophic emergency." Such an emergency is construed as "any incident, regardless of location, that results in extraordinary levels of mass casualties, damage, or disruption severely affecting the U.S. population, infrastructure, environment, economy, or government functions." You are a fucking idiot.

I am outraged by the lack of sanity in American Politics.

People are dying...lives are in the balance... while we bicker about Jeremiah Wright.

Sad.

Madness takes it's toll.

Yup. I guess it beats talking about Britney's shaved cooz, but you're right, debate of real issues dead.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go be vitriolic and unreasonably strident the thread next door....

I bet you'd be surprised at how many AFr-Amer churches promote the same kinda hate as Trinity. I bet you'd be surprised of how many blacks that you come into contact with everyday, agree w/ Jerry Wright.

My respect has increased for Obama since this has happend, I hope the public doesn't hold this against him. Everyone has friends who embarrasses them.

I know a lot of African Americans and none of them are like this pastor.

This is so comical.

" May 1 (Bloomberg) -- Northwestern University withdrew its offer to give the Reverend Jeremiah Wright an honorary degree at this year's commencement because of the controversy over past sermons by the former pastor to Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

"The honor was withdrawn in March after recorded excerpts of Wright sermons, denouncing the U.S. government and suggesting its policies were to blame for the Sept. 11 attacks, began circulating on the Internet and were broadcast on television.

"In a statement released today, Northwestern spokesman Alan Cubbage said the university in the Chicago suburb of Evanston was concerned that the furor over Wright would disrupt the June commencement ceremonies.

"``In light of the controversy around Dr. Wright and to ensure the celebratory character of commencement not be affected, the university has withdrawn its invitation to Dr. Wright,'' Cubbage said. "

My respect has increased for Obama since this has happend, I hope the public doesn't hold this against him. Everyone has friends who embarrasses them.

It takes bad judgment to respect bad judgment.

Well Rev. Wright and Rev. Jesse Jackson and Congressman Conyers all went down to Cuba many years ago to honor Fidel Catro and the great Cuban government which imprisoned and tortured many people for "holding opinions" contrary to that of the ruling elites in Cuba. One of the longest held political prisoners in Cuba was a black man.

Notice how these black lefties honor a communist government that does not even have a token black in its leadership. It's being a lefty and "proclamations" that are important to them.

And they support Islamics, who were the intermediates, who captured or bought the black slaves and traded them throughout the world.

Here Wright denounces whties as the root of all evil, while ignoring black on black killings in his idealized beloved Africa. Hutu-Tutsi. Congo with machetes chopping off limbs. Rapes all over. Even Kenya. I could post a laundry list of African on African atrocities. Yet here, blacks who prospered and as did Rev. Wright lived privileged lives, condemn a civilized country that has provided them with education, wealth, and power.

These creeps want America to atone for a situation that existed more than 150 years ago as if they themselves are the rightful beneficiaries of the suffering of others. Obama is half black, half white with no antecedents in this country who lived under slavery or even Jim Crow. Rev. Wright appears more white than black. What gives with these people, who want to be accorded victim status in perpetuity and excused from assuming responsibility for their own situation.

When you have a subculture that embraces opposition to "acting white," when "acting white" symbolizes intelligence, learning, responsibility, productivity, and the like, and the black subculture embraces "criming and bastardy" as their values, then the blacks are responsible for their creating their own situation. They've been given legs up and have largely rejected it, or as Rev. White says, are not capable of functioning at a par level in a white society because their brains are different.

And yes, people with the mentality of Rev. White and Obama have no business being leaders of the United States with their antagonism to this society, however and regardless of why they acquired such antagonism.

You're going to denounce me, whitey, and then ask me to confer benefits on you. Screw you Wright. Screw you Obama. You're unfit to lead the United States. Organize your own hate group and peddle your stuff there. Get a mailing list of limousine liberals. They're stupid enough to fund such an enterprise.

Posted by klifferd at 2008-04-30 07:15 AM

obama is still greater then mccain the racist

Let's see, racism is believing races differ. Rev. Wright just publicly proclaimed that and it's probably true, at least in such matters as susceptibility to various and sundry ailments such as sickle cell anemia, AIDS, and what have you. Rev. Wright declares that the brains of blacks function differently than those of whites.

Do you denounce Rev. Wright for his observations.

Rev. Wright is not only a racist, but he's a bigot and a mentor to Obama, whose learned at his feet, "apprenticed" for 20 years.

I don't think much of McCain, but he hasn't made a career of bigotry. Blacks are peripheral to the life and career of McCain, not at the core of his existence. Blacks seem to think that whites focus on them. Aside from this current foofooraw and these threads, neither I nor my friends have ever mentioned a black person in literally years. We don't encounter them or have dealings with them. They are not in the ambit of our lives.

Because I don't live in a sewer doesn't mean that I don't recognize the stench that Wright and Obama and their ilk, exude.

Are blacks to be a permanent underclass requiring support and making trouble, disturbing provident and productive sectors of society with their inability to support themselves, their indolence, their disorganization, criminality, violent proclivities, intrusion, demand for special favors, and other negative attributes? Or do you see some hope for blacks, klifferd? I try to be optimistic. But the Democrat Party seems to have cultivated blacks as a voting bloc and is willing to keep them in low level penury to secure political support.
