Drudge Retort: Red Meat for Yellow Dogs

Donors, activists and members of Congress who backed former Sen. John Edwards (D-N.C.) are flocking to Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.). This and the fact that Obama is likely to win the North Carolina primary could prompt Edwards to endorse Obama -- a move that could burnish the front-runner's credentials with blue-collar, white voters, who are part of Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's (D-N.Y.) base.

Lets Be Honest So How Can Hillary Win ?

There is only one way and that is a blow out. That means getting the popular vote and I mean in states that count and getting the delegate count within 50 and that will only allow her to make a strong case.

Either that or a total breakdown of his campaign which if it hasnt happend yet its not going to happen.

Not even the popular vote will win, the caucus is the key and Obama has that hands down.

Even saying this there will not be enough people voting to allow hillary to actually pass Obama in the popular vote.

I like hillary running, it shows just how stupid the democratic party is and keeps hillary spending money.

Not sure but getting turned off by the democratic party and not doing something about hillary. Carry it out much longer and they will begin to lose vote just out of spite, mine is nearly there.

Give me a fucking break, Money. You've been riding the Dems harder than the GOP for over two years. "Nearly there," ha.

I cant argee your point. she would bneed to blow out every last primary but 20 + points to even get close and that is not going to happen.

I meant to say I cant argue

Where else would they go?

Edwards will endorse Obama and should do so now.

you mean like his cancer stricken wife.. she is touring nc with hillary.

You stupid assholes keep talking about caucus votes which are one of the most fucked up methodologies to conduct a nomination and do not reflect the populace in general.

The lead is less than 3% of the total delegate count and would be smaller if FL were counted.

It is just amazing to watch the dems lose another election. I thought this one was a lock.

"and do not reflect the populace in general."

Both methods are dependent upon those who turn up. They reflect the views of the participants. Whether those participants, in either case, "reflect the populace in general" has nothing to do with it.

you mean like his cancer stricken wife.. she is touring nc with hillary.

There was only a third-hand rumor that she would. She hasn't done so, as of today, to the best of my knowledge. I suspect the rumor was planted to get the blogosphere to start insulting the Edwards' and push them toward Clinton.

how about more of the elitist superdelegates overturning the will of the people...EXCEPT...if she has more of popular vote, isnt THAT The will of the people and there are superduper delegates too..people who can name uP to 5 superdelegates assumingly people who vote the way they do.
and all of this from the democrat party...that party of the common man and diverse and compassionate and working stiff. this continues to amaze me.......why not have all primaries....WINNER TAKE ALL.......

ALSO.....she has won the big states and states that dems HAVE to win to win in november....so doesnt that make a difference in her getting out or not? AND we know a lot more about barak hussein now than we did a short time ago and maybe she is waiting for the next bomb to drop...OR SHE JUST MIGHT BE THE ONE WITH HER FINGER ON A BOMB just waiting for the right time....we ARE talking about the CLINTONS you know...

this isnt a bomb but yet another look into barrywaynehussein
in 2001, the ilinois senate discussed making it a death penalty issue when gangs go around killing people.....and he voted NO........well that figures, of course that the MOST LIBERAL SENATOR IN THE SENATE would vote that way as an illinois senator.

Geez - when I posted the article I didn't proof the headline and it said Edward instead of Edwards. Then when Rcade moved it up he must have tried to correct it, but typed Edwarda.

Help!

"...in 2001, the ilinois senate discussed making it a death penalty issue when gangs go around killing people.....and he voted NO........well that figures, of course that the MOST LIBERAL SENATOR IN THE SENATE would vote that way as an illinois senator."

How stunning that BL2 is once again completely behind the curve on a story.

Would it surprise you to learn that that very bill was vetoed by the Republican Governor?

"In August 2001, Gov. George Ryan vetoed the death penalty for gang members bill, saying the legislature should be questioning rather than expanding the use of the death penalty in the state. Ryan said in his veto message, 'I believe its efforts are misdirected in light of existing laws, constitutional concerns and our past history of erroneously sentencing individuals to death.'" [Chicago Tribune, 8/18/01; HB 1812

God. Don't you people do ANY homework before you post crap? You're like little puppies that get all excited and wiggly, and pee a little when you think you have something.

Oh, and here's how your "most liberal" Senator voted on some other issues related to gang activity and the death penalty.

I wonder why you didn't mention all the other times Obama voted to toughen gang-related laws and expand the death penalty.

Obama Voted For Tougher Penalties For Gang Activity. [93rd GA, HB 2529, 5/13/03, 3R P; 58-0-0; P.A. 93-0337, 7/24/03]

Obama Voted To Prohibit Released Gang Members From Associating With Old Gang. [93rd GA, HB 506, 5/7/03, 3R P; 57-0-0; P.A. 93-0254, 7/22/03]

Obama Voted To Make Recruiting For A Gang At School A Crime. (House Amendment No. 1) is a Class 1 felony. [93rd GA, HB 4788, 5/13/04, 3R P; 57-0-0; PA 93-0938, 8/13/04]

Obama Voted To Permit The Required Removal Of A Minor's Tattoo Symbolizing Allegiance To A Street Gang As A Condition For Probation. [91 GA SB 0400 3R P 58-0-0, 3/18/99; PA 91-0098, 7/9/99]

Obama Voted To Criminalize Willful Gang Activity By A Peace Or Corrections Officer. [90 GA HB 2287 3R P 56-0-0, 5/9/97; PA 90-0131, 7/22/97]

Obama Sponsored Bill To Extend Death Penalty For 1st Degree Murder Within 500FT Of A Place Of Worship. [91st GA, SB 1615, 2/15/00]

Obama Supported Extending the Death Penalty For Certain Domestic Violence Cases. [90th GA, HB 3652, 5/7/98, 3R P; 56-0-1; P.A. 90-0668, 7/31/98]

Obama Voted In Favor Of The Death Penalty For People Who Murdered Disabled People Knowing That They Were Disabled And For Senior Citizens. [90 GA HB 1315 3R P 57-0-0, 5/9/97; PA 90-0213, 7/25/97]

Ah, heck, I'm just kidding. I don't really wonder.

Does that include Hamas?

Yes Rob. Hamas used to support Edwards and now they support Obama. You really ferreted that one out.

No but it includes Hummus, Rob

sa....not one time did I see a post from you about death penalty for gang murders....and I am pretty sure thats what I said....I dont think I was talking about crime around churches etc....
and so its not unusual for the left to avoid one question with others.

Anybody here from Indiana or NC? If you are voting for Hillary you are voting for a known liar and that is no different than voting for whats behind the curtain. With her track record you have absolutely no idea what you are getting. Yes everyone can lie but when they will probably lie that should set different parameters on how you base your vote.

Funny that Edwards supporters are moving to Obama when the candidate who's campaign platform most closely resembles Edwards' is Nader's.

"With her track record you have absolutely no idea what you are getting"

Actually, I would argue the exact opposite, that with Obama we have absolutely no idea what we're getting. No national career to speak of and all. If you can't tell when clinton is lying at this point and can't tell what that lie reveals about the truth, then I don't know what to tell you.

Just because we haven't learned Obama's tells yet, doesn't mean we aren't being sold a bridge in brooklyn.

"sa....not one time did I see a post from you about death penalty for gang murders...."

Try again BL2. The bill you are so concerned about Obama voting against was apparently so flawed that THE REPUBLICAN GOVERNOR VETOED IT.

And in other gang-related legislation, Obama has voted to toughen the laws, and is also obviously NOT reluctant to extend the death penalty when warranted.

"and so its not unusual for the left to avoid one question with others."

And its not unusual for the right to tell only the part of the story that they think benefits them. I think its pretty obvious who's avoiding what, oh great intellectually incurious one.
